I just had my resume done up by TopResume. Response from Jo (writer) was quick. I am very pleased with my new resume now as many important details have been included and which I have left them out before. It looks impressive and professional. I received many calls for job interviews.

I had never considered using a resume service but after making little to no progress in my job search, I decided to give TopResume a shot.

And I'm glad I did. My biggest concern with my own resume was language and word choice. I simply was not confident that I was presenting myself as well as I could. My top resume writer quickly remedied that by wording my skills and experience in a much more compelling way while simultaneously making my resume look less cluttered and busy. I wish I'd read these reviews before I paid TopResume. I did NOT get an original re-write of either my cover letter or resume. They refused my refund request, saying someone was already working on my resume. That same day, I got a message from writer saying he'd just got the assignment. The first draft was unacceptable.The cover letter was what you can find on any resume advice website. I also specifically asked for the documents to NOT date me in age. The writer ignored that and actually added my years of experience! He used terms that are NOT used in my field. He also just took my original resume and cover letter, reordered them, added a couple important sounding words, and re-formatted. They also sent me more than one auto-generated email to "check in", which the writer admitted. I now wonder if they just sent my original resume & cover letter through some software to get a different version. Honestly You can do better yourself.

My assigned writer was quick and responsive, answered some questions of mine and gave me advice in being more marketable in my field.

You must invest in yourself in order to achieve more.

Even if these services don't land you a job, it's good to know that you're putting your best foot forward wherever you go.

The review process was horrible as all they did was send back my existing resume with a new style applied. Anyone with Word could do that! Upon marking up the document, it was another week before I received any comments and they reset the clock again - sending the exact same document. I responded back stating I had already marked everything up so take the comments and make the edits. Apparently, the editor did not like my comments and when I tried to discuss the fact that this was supposed to be a collaborative process, they stopped responding. As many others have noted - there are no refunds so unless you agree with everything they do, you will receive no service and be out the money.

I rate the service that I received from TopResume as 4.5 stars. The quality of my resume re-write was both excellent and also humbling. It was excellent as in 2 pages my 18 years of professional experience was elegantly captured and I felt proud reading about my achievements. It was humbling as the brevity of my new resume was succinct and my ego which wanted everything listed on a formerly busy and longer resume was held in check. I have already been for three interviews since putting my newly written resume out there. It has been a worthy investment for sure! Only gripe is a technology related one: I use Microsoft Word, my excellent writer uses an Apple operating system. I had to re-space all drafts and the final product which took time. Clients should be given a choice what operating system they prefer that TopResume writers use.

I enrolled for Career Evolution Resume Writing package with Top Resume. I am very much impressed with the service level they offered to me. Back end technical team is highly skilled and understands the current market trend very well. I was given sufficient time for review the first draft and all my suggestions were incorporated in the final version after discussion.

I am satisfied with the service levels of TopResume and I have no reservations to recommend this company to anyone.

I paid upfront, a reviewer has been assigned after several days and then I got pressured all over the process to meet their deadlines.
They give you only 7-10 days to complete your reviews and pressure you to close

It is clearly also my fault not being 100% on top of this, but i felt very unprofessional being treated this way when they got their money upfront. Just wanted to rush the process, and of course I feel I have not had enough interactions to make fine tunings to the resume

The promise a re-write with a professional writer. They do not have professional writers. They hire people off the internet for $10-20 a piece, who copy and paste what they can find about your industry and give you back a ridiculous garbage of a resume. Sentences that don't make sense. Long, winding and repetitive. Unreadable. Stay away, do not waste your money, because there is no way you are getting a refund.

I haven't written a resume in over 30 years. I used TopResume to help me write a new resume and worked with Cindy P. Who was very responsive. We worked for about a week going back and forth on perfecting my product. I would recommend TopResume to anyone needing to write a first resume or update an old one as they know the buzz words and phrases that employers are looking for.

As one of the previous reviewers accurately stated, 'they prey on the desperate'. After the original free resume evaluation, I hired their service to write my resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile. After two months of sending job applications and not getting a single call from employers, I decided to have the resume written by TopResume evaluated by another TopResume consultant and guess what? Her evaluation was exactly the same as the one done by the first consultant on the resume written by me. In essence, my resume did not pass the six seconds test and was garbage.

It is amazing how these scammers take advantage of people desperate to get a job. In many cases, we have to borrow money to pay for their fees hoping that they are honest people wanting to help us, but what they really want is our money.

I'm still waiting for the recruiter.com resume distributor to get sent out. I've been stuck on the email verification page and it wont send any verification to my email when I type it in so I don't think its working. I've tried to contact them a few times so it can get sent out and I haven't heard anything. I'd like for that to get working because I spent $50 on it and I'm doing more work trying to fix it so I hope someone reaches out to me on that. Resume and cover letter were good though. Once the recruiter.com gets fixed id give a 5 star but until then, I'm pretty frustrated.

I submitted my corrections and the writer put everything I took out back in. The language used is ridiculous. Trying to correct her did not help. What a total waste of money. If you are an experienced professional do not get robbed by this service. This service my be helpful for a first timer 22 yr old just out of school but not for a seasoned professional.

I ordered the resume service on August 12.10 days later, I received a draft, filled with errors, that completely ignored the comments I entered in the questionnaire. After submitting comments asking them to correct errors - they actually made stuff up and added it to my resume - I was told that after 3 days had passed I could expect a response in another 1-3 days. Their sales material said I would have 2 opportunities for edits in a weeks time.

The company is terrible.

The resume, cover letter and thank you letter were top notch! I did get the impression that perhaps the person who wrote it does not possess English as their first language, so I had to revise certain phrases, etc. However, overall it was really well done. The reason I did not give all 5 stars is because I paid extra for the LinkedIn profile, and I feel like that was severely lacking.
