Our vacation was ruined because of all of the of the inconvenience. Vacasa management is not willing to communicate with me. We can not take showers for 4 days. I didn't get parking passes until Tuesday. There was no code for tv and expired water. Filter.
This has been a complete let down came in for Labor Day weekend. The pictures of the unit are true but what they don't show is the floors you can see are bubbles from water leaks, we had no water pressure and we have 3 bathrooms. And to top it off no ac and this is our 2 Nd day. There are no other rooms available and I have asked for a complete refund and was told no. This is unacceptable! Please don't rent this as the owners really need to take control and do some major renovations.
We had an excellent experience at the beach house. I love the decorations and the views, comfortable amenities, and impeccable cleanliness exceeded our expectations. Vacasa's service was efficient, contributing to a memorable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended for a perfect beachfront retreat!
Home looked great online, we arrived and it was filthy. Excessive dog hair everywhere, tack strip with nails exposed (one of our guests cut their feet on it), ants on the kitchen counter tops and in dishwasher, dirty dishes in cabinets, and more. Local company offered to clean, however this place needs some significant TLC and a DEEP cleaning. We spent most of our time outside the home. We visited other homes in the area that were spotless. While in the home, Vacasa offered to reimburse some of our cost, however they have been unresponsive since. HORRIBLE experience.
We booked a cabin in Rhododendron, Oregon last minute as my wife is having her second ovarian cancer surgery next week. We understood the cancellation policy, however we received notice that they can do the surgery earlier, so we called to see if they would be willing to offer a partial refund or credit towards a future stay. The representative we spoke with was wonderful, but she was told by corporate that they were sticking to policy and were unwilling to offer any refund or credit. This is very sad and lacks any compassion! We will not be staying at any of their properties in the future or recommending them to anyone!
The vacasa has the worst Customer service ever, since the first day we got here there was no light in the master bedroom we called them a couple of time for them to come fix it and it, they didn't even acknowledge I'll call, we also called to get clean towels within a week that we were here didn't get no response they don't take out the garage. I'm sorry to say but I would never in my life book with them again!

We rented a home for a family vacation ($3600!). 13 days before our trip began, our 72 and 77 year old parent's home burned to the ground in the Marshall Fire (Louisville, CO). We asked Vacasa for a partial credit to vacation at a later date and were told no exceptions. I will never book with Vacasa again! At least with Airbnb you can tell the home owner about why you need to cancel and get some kind of human understanding.

I'm on vacation I expect for everything to be working properly. I paid my hard earned money into a bag with holes. I will never stay at 920 The summit in Panama City Florida never again. I'm a very disappointed customer.
We stayed at Blue Skies Resort in Willow City, Texas. Arrived to the camper, door open, screen door torn, and the camper was full of bugs. We taped it up with a trash bag (looked pretty ghetto), and sent pictures the same night with the reply "glad you were able to fix it". The same night the kitchen sink stopped up, and stayed that way for 3 of our 4 night stay. Smelled horrible! Finally got someone to respond and tell us what WE needed to do to fix the issue. Extremely disappointed they had no one to come fix the issue for 3 days. We just kept getting automated replies up until the last day. Said they would compensate us for our trouble, but of course, have not. Extremely disappointed, and wish I was able to write a review on the actual site, but of course you can't. Would not recommend due to maintenance not being available.
I booked a beachfront condo in order to have beautiful views and direct beach access. I called in advance to ask about any potential construction that would disrupt a peaceful stay and was told there would be none. When I arrived there was beach work being done very close to the building which moved closer daily and on my final day (only 2 full days) it was in front of my building and the beach was closed. It was 24/7 work, loud and completely ruined the stay. When I reached out about it I was told it was emergency work but research shows it began in October and is a 33 million dollar project. Vacasa absolutely knew this was happening and lied to me about it and charged me for something I did not actually get - quiet beach access. I consider it fraud and they were not receptive to trying to make it right with any kind of refund at all. I will never rent from a vacasa property ever.
I booked a home through Turnkey who unfortunately merged with Vacasa. Try getting them on the phone when there is a problem. Waiting for hours on hold. They tell you about early check in or late check out, but do not offer it, even when the property is not booked the day or days prior to your stay, or after. Would NEVER book a home through Vacasa again. VRBO from now on.

Housekeeping schedules, maintenance schedules, and owner preferences are also considered. We intend to offer late check-out whenever possible, but it was unfortunately not an option in this case. I experienced the very best customer service and support from C. Holt today. It was a complex situation and Cory took the time to listen and validate my concerns and understand all the intricacies of my problem. He showed both empathy and immediacy. I don't always use Vacasa for my rentals but from now on I will be using them and telling all my friends about how awesome I was treated. Thank you Cory!

BEWARE of BOOKING with Vacas! We planned a trip to Sugar Mountain starting the 2nd of October 2024 and due to the hurricane we were told today (9.28.24) that the property is unavailable. It's a bummer but understandable. I assumed they'd offer a refund, and I'd hear we're sorry your vacation got scrubbed. Not even close! It turns out that apparently I needed travel insurance to protect myself from Vacasa and that they are using consumers to insure them against natural disasters. My options are either to book at that property in the next 30 days (not sure how I'd do that based upon the damage they indicate has happened) or book another location. Talked to the supervisor and he had no interest in helping me and instead wanted to educate my on business and finances. Apparently his customer service training/experience didn't educate him on the lifetime value of a customer. IF everything goes swimmingly on your vacation, you may be okay with Vacasa and whoever the actual property owner is. BUT if you have any issues, you'll be SOL because they aren't there for you. I should have checked online with Yelp and others to see the 2.3 rating out of 5 along with numerous complaints about properties being dirty and/or broken fixtures, counters, doors, gates etc. That's my fault and won't be repeated. I truly hope this helps someone else avoid a potentially ruined vacation and in my case $900+ mistake.
We booked a 3-day trip to Galveston. On their website says dogs allowed no extra fees.So We booked it. They then sent us a contract that said no dogs allowed unless you pay $150 extra.We told them that their AD on booking.com said Dogs welcome no fees. They made ridiculous excuses.And said contact booking. Thats not our problem. They posted this listing on booking.It is their problem. We have no cancellation on our contract. So now we either have to pay the $150 which they trapped us in or lose all of our money. These people are pathetic and inconsistent and their listings are inaccurate. Based on all the bad reviews I've seen from this company I do not recommend anyone do business with them.
10 people in two bathrooms for 5 days with 4 rolls of toilet paper. Texted for more their response was we will have to buy it ourselves they only supply 2 rolls per bathroom. Texted day of check in that 4pm check in was changed to 6 pm. Didn't call or explain why. Any question or request took over 4 hours to get any response.
Vacasa is unresponsive during and after our stay. The house smelled horrible, had mold in the bathroom. We spoke with them and they said they would send someone out: no one came or followed up. We had to clean everything ourselves. Terrible company and terrible service.
I have not even made it to the rental house yet and I'm so frustrated that I will never rent a Vacasa managed home again.
I booked through Airbnb a month ago. Two days before travel they said I needed to sign another agreement. The link did not work. I then signed out of Airbnb and signed into the Vacasa site to find document. Everything on that site showed complete. My messages through Vacasa on Airbnb were not helpful and vague.
I finally called and was helped the day before travel.
We rented a two story house from Vacasa, with most of rooms downstairs, we were not able to use the downstairs, it had so many huge pet stains all over downstairs carpet, MULTIPLE stains, it smelled and was absolutely gross. There was garbage all over in "fenced" backyard and was so overgrown and had poo everywhere it could not be used. The upstairs toilet leaked from the bottom of toilet, and fridge downstairs leaked everywhere. We let Vacasa know, and they admitted they had seen personally the carpet but blamed the owners. Vacasa was a horrible place to deal with and still cannot believe how they treat people. We learned our lesson and will never use them again.
Terrible company customer service, dirty house despite previous reviews and saying that they have put in efforts to fix those issues. We vacated the property after seeing a cockroach and they are refusing to refund us despite proof so I've issued a chargeback with my credit card. Avoid at all costs.
We booked a home from Airbnb Wednesday till Sunday thanksgiving weekend first there was a live bird in the home 2.5 hours to get a response and a person to remove it multiple items broken grill so dirty could not use and the hot tub was drained and unusable kitchen lacked most items and is extremely small
Answer: It's a monster scam. Avoid at all costs. I've rented several properties that ended up going through Vacasa - despite my best efforts to avoid them. You can't find out that it's Vacasa until after they have your money. It's a criminal enterprise.
Answer: In my experience, construction is their "catch all" excuse for canceling. Follow up to verify that it was rented, but for higher fee.
