Horrible Horrible Company

Vacasa is absolutely TERRIBLE, they treat people like crap and they are liars! They manage a property next door to me and the local manager, Keith Seckman here in Flagstaff allows the guests to constantly trespass on my property, violate local and state laws and ordinances, throw parties, leave trash all over, park illegally, be excessively loud and obnoxious, etc. I have had their vehicles block my driveway so I can't get into my home. Many days and nights each month I have to leave my own home because of how disruptive the guests are. I contact Vacasa and report the issues as they occur and nothing is ever done. I have dozens of photos and videos of their guests smoking, parking illegally, violating noise ordinances, trash, etc.

Keith Seckman and Vacasa allow their guests to engage in criminal and nuisance behavior, they don't even hold them accountable to the contract they signed with Vacasa. Stay away from them they are a nightmare. They don't care how disrespectful or entitled their renters are or how much the renters disrupt the neighborhood! Vacasa only cares about making money! They are literally the absolute worst agency I have ever dealt with! Some people actually live in neighborhoods full time and we are tired of ignorant, disrespectful annoying guests that think they can do whatever they want because they are on vacation.

2nd time in ONE year that Vacasa CANCELLED our reservations that we made well in advance and blamed it either on the owner or most recently "construction" We always find a place early, once the place is confirmed, we book airline tickets so we don't have to worry about price increases. We rented a place ON the ocean with a great view. Not only did they cancel this Mid April trip this year in Mid Feb but they sent they sent alternatives places that were blocks from the ocean and the other places we found on the ocean were available thru them but much more expensive but yet NEVER offered to us. They said inventory is limited - OF COURSE it is, you cancelled this last minute! I will never rent from this company ever again. I sent them an email with how disguised I was and they just responded back with "full refund issued." They don't care one bit nor did they acknowledge how crappy their alternatives were - NOT even comparable. I was fortunate to find a private rental, ocean front which was offed via a person and not a company and booked immediately - I'll be damned if I give Vacasa another dime! CRAPPY RENTAL MANAGEMENT. And - in their terms and conditions, once booked if you cancel, you owe them the full deposit which was over $1K - if they cancel on you - Too bad! BUYER BEWARE.

Booked a vacation at a Vacasa Property. Noticed that I booked the wrong dates a week out from my stay. I tried to move it and they said no. I had to cancel it a week out and although their policy clearly stated a full refund they are now telling me that they were not goign to give me one at all. I am disputing it with my Credit card company. They are not even offering me a credit of any sort. They are not focused on customer service at all. I own two properties at the beach and will never list my vacation rentals from them, because their values do not align with mine or any reasonable customer.

DO NOT STAY HERE

We got to our rental later than expected and they had emailed the wrong code for the door. We called all three numbers listed to try to find the right code and no one would answer. When someone finally did answer it took over an hour for her to tell us to find a hotel and they would reimburse us. So at 1 am in Breckinridge CO on a Friday you can imagine how much we had to pay. No one has responded to my multiple emails about being reimbursed and they said they couldn't refund me for the night we weren't able to get in that we had already paid for. When we finally got in, we were hit with a wall of gas smell and at 5pm that night someone came to turn off the entire fire place and said we could not use it. The bed was horrendously uncomfortable, there are no blankets in the entire unit, the wifi doesn't work, the TV gets one Fox news station, and a piece of paper would've provided more support than those pillows.

Unreliable!

I booked a 5 berm home with a pool for my kids and grandkids to spend the week with us. Now, I get a message saying the house is no longer available. I can choose to have a refund or choose another Vacasa home. They don't have another 5 berm home in the location we are going so choosing another home from their list is not an option. The only other option I have is an addition $4800! Had I cancelled, I would have taken a hit with a partial refund. Vacasa just simply walks away without any impact to them!

We rented a unit in Cape Canaveral Florida 7400 Ridgewood Ave unit 313 at Cape Winds. All reviews say it was so nice and pleasant! We were booked for three weeks but only stayed two because of the mold and mildew smell! When we left our clothes smelled terrible! Plus they refused to change our linen or towels said they would make an exception and bring us some but never showed up! VACASA put up their own reviews! They are VERY DISHONEST!

On a 15K trip, Vacasa (via AirBnB) took a 50% deposit. When a medical emergency forced us to cancel SIX MONTHS in advance of our trip, they kept more than $6k and refunded us $1200, diverting the matter to AirBnB. Completely abominable. Do NOT book with these thieves who try to offload their poor policies on other companies.

Vacasa: AVOID
January 24, 2024

Rented an apartment for 14 nights, but when we arrived the door lock code did not work. Waited in the cold for 4 hours during which time we phoned and spoke to 4 different agents, they did not phone back as promised or send a local agent as promised. Eventually told to try and find another place for the night as they were unable to. (How did they expect us to find somewhere if they couldn't?). There are few places catering for visitors in January, so very fortunate to find a hotel open all year round.
They said our apartment was no longer available and they sent an email with options including to relocate, but we were in Camden for a reason. We accepted the option that said, 'We can issue a refund for tonight's rent only and have you relocate to hotel, and back to original booking tomorrow due to no homes being available.'
Empty words: they have given us 14 nights refund, ignoring the cost of the hotel for our first night.
We tried phoning them, no joy, and again they never phoned back as agreed.
In summary: our experience with this company has been a disaster, very unhelpful and they went back on their word regarding a refund for our first night in a hotel.

AWFUL SERVICE!

I booked a beachfront condo in order to have beautiful views and direct beach access. I called in advance to ask about any potential construction that would disrupt a peaceful stay and was told there would be none. When I arrived there was beach work being done very close to the building which moved closer daily and on my final day (only 2 full days) it was in front of my building and the beach was closed. It was 24/7 work, loud and completely ruined the stay. When I reached out about it I was told it was emergency work but research shows it began in October and is a 33 million dollar project. Vacasa absolutely knew this was happening and lied to me about it and charged me for something I did not actually get - quiet beach access. I consider it fraud and they were not receptive to trying to make it right with any kind of refund at all. I will never rent from a vacasa property ever.

Unacceptable

I had a less than satisfactory experience with Vacasa. The property appeared a bit dated, with a bathtub showing signs of wear. The windows leaked so much that it felt like there was a perpetual draft, and the heating system was excessively loud. However, the real disappointment came when we ran out of toilet paper, and we were instructed to buy our own. Now I can understand this if I were renting a condo, but this property called itself a hotel. It had amenities similar to a hotel without the laundry facilities and the room was like a hotel room since it had no more than a microwave, refrigerator and hairdryer for in room amenities.

Horrible company. Got to our "2 bedroom" hotel only to find it's a one bedroom with a sofa bed. Then open up the sofa bed and find dog hair, rat poop,
Popcorn, who knows what else. Called to see how they could help us and got hung up on by Sandra 3 times. She's their so called "supervisor". Never refunded us. Never even came to clean the bed. Just a straight up scam of a company. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.

I did not make a reservation with this company but they keep texting about my reservation, when I explained it was not me and I'm not Tim Fusco they continue to harass and insist I have a reservation! Not sure what their scam is but I'd never use this company for anything how unprofessional!

We canceled a trip 5 days before going it was a snowmobiling trip to Wisconsin no snow all trails closed and no snow in future we gor no refund and insurance giving us a run around never again will we use this company 1444.00 lost but we are going to idaho 8 feet of snow in cascade and airbnb is what we are using

Horrible experience

Buyers beware. This company does not post It's negative reviews of the homes they manage. We had the worst rental experience we've ever had and I wrote a review to Vacasa and they will not post it even though I have pictures and video that was sent to them as proof of the issues. Do not rent any home that Vacasa manages. Our rental was filthy, cockroaches, and spiders everywhere, broken appliances, broken cabinets, and drawers. It was located by a fire station off a busy intersection and right behind a house that we believe was a dog breeder. Nonstop noise all night long. See the photos and videos of what we experienced. And the Vacasa management still refused to make any amends or offer any refunds.

Beware! Do not use Vacasa. Booked a very expensive large home for a week. Was charged $700.00 to heat the pool affter I had paid for the home. The pool heater was broken, confirmed by the repairman who tried to fix it. Vacasa refused to credit the $700.00.
