“Hopefully your tickets will be fine - mine were”

Stella C.
2/12/24

I used viagogo to purchase tickets without reading any reviews. I then read the reviews here and became very anxious. The e tickets came through but were in Row S instead of Row R as I had ordered. I wasn't worried about being one row behind but the discrepancy worried me in case it was a sign of the tickets being dodgy. I used Live Chat a few times and they were really friendly and reassuring. I was still nervous when I got to the venue but only because of all the negative reviews I had read. As it happened, we sailed through the gates and happily took our seats in Row S.

“Did not deliver”

Tim O.

Not only did I not receive the tickets I purchased, but customer service was not help at all. Live chat is the only option and on several occasions had to wait over 30 minutes for an operator. I was at the event trying to get things straightened out and was told I would receive an email listing replacement options and it never came. I finally the day after got them to agree to a refund, but surprise, surprise it will take 10 business days

Not only do they contravene multiple laws by scalping event tickets, but they also greatly inflate the prices with hidden administration costs. These admin fees are often higher than ticket fees themselves.

It is no surprise that they are under investigation for fraud in multiple countries.

Tip for consumers:
Rather use an official ticketing site, not a re-seller that claims to be an official ticketing agent

I bought soccer match tickets for a Sunday afternoon, and was planning my family weekend trip. Going online to reserve a parking spot, I couldn't find a trace of a match happening that day... instead on Monday night.

Called the customer service, who insisted that the "event organizer" has not updated them about a re-schedule. All they say is "re-sell your Sunday afternoon tickets, for Monday evening prices".

Never again. Stay away from Viagogo.

Twice purchased tickets. Twice lost everything. First time for Lana Del Rey. Despite repeated assurances that tickets would arrive, they never did. Not only lost concert, but all travel plans. Last month, purchased tickets for Sam Smith. Concert was cancelled. Viagogo wouldn't reimburse me. Also lost travel plans. You have been warned. Just hope you don't have a problem that needs customer service. You can't email them directly (only through a web form) and you can't talk to anyone by phone. In my opinion, the company is not reputable.

Clearly not fraud-proof! And when you try to get in touch with Viagogo about a ticket you have your concerns about, don't think they'll be bothered to take you serious! They really don't care about their customers, while their booking fees (commission) are insanely high! They're really in it for the money but don't care about customer experience!

Charged more than double price of Andre Riue tickets. Viagogo charged 271.11.
Tickets arrived at only 65 each.
Now worth it anyway at row 34!
Nevertheless, I wish I would have bought them directly, never thought at the time but will never use this scammer again.
Although I blame myself for allowing this to happen, it's still fair to warn others.

I feel I was scammed. Bought tickets for Ascot, which I now realize are more than twice face value. Charged excessive booking fees as well. Also, was lead to believe the tickets had actual seats, which they do not. Immediately tried to cancel but there is no website or phone number. I am now reporting this to my credit card company.

THE worst ticket company EVER. We purchased a pair of BabyMetal Japan concert tickets for $1100. ViaGogo rated these seat location as an "8" out of 10. The only thing close to 8 was the number of rows I was from top of the stadium roof... in the nosebleed section! I wish I could post a photo here because it would make your stomach turn. Tried getting a hold of ViaGogo thru their "support" center, but there's no direct email - pretty much just an FAQ and their phone is useless. This company is not only deceptive but has extremely poor customer service.

We chose ViaGogo for the positive reviews we found but we obviously did not look at Trustpilot otherwise we wouldn't have purchased. Although we enjoyed the concert, we don't feel we received the quality seating we paid for. We guessed maybe 3/4 of the way closer to the stage.

Today, I received an email from ViaGogo asking to send a picture taken from our seats! Obviously they have no clue that crap seats they sold us.

They hide the prices until you pay, but in other respects present themselves as a legitimate first line seller. Huge mark up on actual ticket prices - 200-300% increase wouldn't be unusual. There's also a significant risk that tickets will be refused at venue as ID is checked at many concerts, and your ID won't match the one on the ticket.
Don't touch them with a barge pole!

I was looking for Blink 182 tickets for London in June. Found them at a good rate (initially said from £52.78). When pressing continue the price raised up to £69.97 which I thought OK it is not too bad. Then on the next step I did the checkout and suddenly it appears on the screen that I paid £204! I did it with my phone and the webpage never said the amount has gone this high... Tried to cancel the payment but they didn't allow it. The only solution they offered was o re-sell them... Very disappointed

They charged me 240 euro for 3 tickets with a face value of 40 euro each. They stated that there would be uninterrupted views-there wern't. They used unethical methods in their marketing, telling me there were many people waiting to buy tickets, only so many tickets left, only so many minutes to complete the purchase. This is pressure-selling, and deceptive. I will tell everyone I know about what they did and will never ever use them EVER again, It's actually painful for me to have to give them even 1 star before I can post my review.

They pressure you and make you feel very uncomfortable by ticking off the time during the whole process of choosing seats and payment. And it's not even the right price. They propose more than original price, sometimes double and triple, and will tell you that delivery of tickets are free until you have to type in your card number for 8 euros' worth of delivery + tax of 25% the tickets hahaha
So briefly saying, instead of buying two tickets that cost 35.20 euros each, you'll pay 252 euros in total:)
I wonder why it still stands. Total thieves.

(still one star, as it was annoying and anxiety provoking - tickets worked but its a very $#*!ty buying experience!) they all about 10 steps to the process to make you desperate (faking the tickets are selling out when i KNOW half the concert hall is empty on the main ticket site) - and then all i got was a scan of a paper ticket issued by starticket.ch (for concert i zurich, Switzerland) - no original barcode - could easily be a resold ticket,
ALSO listed the price as chf 45, but with fees, its chf 65. Rip off, scam and all they want to do is spam you

What a rip off. Site states that tickets are 190.60 NZD each. After processing the transaction, I am billed 538.99 NZD for two tickets. At no point during the process are you advised of the additional charges.

This is daylight robbery. How can these people get away with this!

You are in a "queue" right from clicking on buy tickets. It is continually counting down time to secure your tickets and telling you how many people are queueing behind you for your tickets, When it comes to paying there is a big booking fee, delivery charge etc on each ticket. I have however received the tickets well in time for event, and they are still the fantastic seats I booked (fingers crossed for when I get there).

This company are scammers, plain and simple. I was looking at Ed Sheeran tickets, put two in my basket, by the time it got to check out, which is after you put your bank details in the price had tripled. I clicked cancel, a drop down menu asked why, i clicked that the prices had gone up and closed the window... They have taken £480 for two tickets without my consent.
The tickets wont be valid either as my name wont be on them... check out twitter and facebook for 100's in the same boat, some have lost three times what i have... SCUM

I would give them a zero if I could. This company will have a pop up window when purchasing tickets and you believe that it is part of ticket purchasing process. You think you are getting tickets for face value and that is not the case. About 3 times more! I called them and they will do nothing but say I can sell my tickets if I want. So I can scam someone else! ARGH! Do not go through this, don't make the mistake I did! Take your time and skip that window. Not sure how this company is even legal? Sounds like they were shut done once before... Hmmm? Be Aware!

Tip for consumers:
Watch out for their Pop up windows

Bought my ticket for tomorrowWorld2014 through viaGogo.

Even though it was hard to find their phone number, when I called their customer service they were really, really incredible! They helped me even with the copy of the owner's ID that the event requested.
Thank you very much,

Do NOT use this to buy tickets. Rip off & nerve racking experience ever. I received my tickets on the day of the event (lunch time). They wanted me to go to am undisclosed place to pick up tickets after reassuring me that I was to get the tickets 3 days before, which is bad enough. What did I pay delivery for? I even gave them permission to give the seller my number & got nothing... the call centre had no idea & were of no help. Stick to ticketek & ticketmaster. At least you know you'll get your tickets!

Bought tickets, turned out seller had mis-advertised them, Viagogo gave me a full refund. I tried Viagogo again, but with a different seller, this time tickets were valid and as advertised. All worked perfectly. I don't give 5/5 because really Viagogo should have checked the tickets that I initially purchased to ensure they were as advertised, but they failed in that task. They did ring me as soon as I complained, and were very apologetic about it.

They need to create a better system when a seller backs out on purchased tickets. I purchased amazing seats in January and they came back over 6 months later and said my tickets are no longer valid as the seller backed out. So they gave me an option to sit in the way back in the "LAWN" section of a Morgan Wallen concert. They need to have a better plan in place for those whose sellers back out. I would NEVER EVER recommend you purchase tickets through this company. They do not look out for you. Not in your best interest to work with them.

This website is a big scam, they just rip me off with 700 eurs.
I also got the:"oops there is something wrong with your order but don't worry,,,,,"
Let's all do something about it that, maybe a class action if any body knows how to do it.
First of all write about it where ever you can, facebook etc...
Lets not give up!

I'd give them 0 stars if it were possible. Total rip-off, they let ticket scammers use their site, they don't read the messages you send to them, they ignore the info in their own messages to you... Truly the worst experience of this kind EVER. And I'm 62 years old.
