“Hopefully your tickets will be fine - mine were”

Stella C.
2/12/24

I used viagogo to purchase tickets without reading any reviews. I then read the reviews here and became very anxious. The e tickets came through but were in Row S instead of Row R as I had ordered. I wasn't worried about being one row behind but the discrepancy worried me in case it was a sign of the tickets being dodgy. I used Live Chat a few times and they were really friendly and reassuring. I was still nervous when I got to the venue but only because of all the negative reviews I had read. As it happened, we sailed through the gates and happily took our seats in Row S.

“Did not deliver”

Tim O.
9/22/24

Not only did I not receive the tickets I purchased, but customer service was not help at all. Live chat is the only option and on several occasions had to wait over 30 minutes for an operator. I was at the event trying to get things straightened out and was told I would receive an email listing replacement options and it never came. I finally the day after got them to agree to a refund, but surprise, surprise it will take 10 business days

I don't mind paying a little extra and I wanted these tickets for my son for passing his exams. Face value £52 unpaid £275 for 2. Immoral and unfair. Should be illegal these people are getting rich off of the back of ordinary people. Disgusting.

I do not know where to start!
First, i was charged very expensive administrative fees which they did not mention while i was doing my booking. When i finalize my purchase i saw the extra charge.
Second on the confirmation they said ''your ticket will be delivered and someone will need to sign for your delivery'' for this service they charged me £9.95 plus VAT. By the end the send me a link to download the ticket and print it myself.
Third and the most serious, I booked my ticket in January 2017 for a concert in July 2017 -U2 London. Now three days before the concert they notify me that the seller is unable to provide the ticket and they are offering a replacement in a different category offering a refund of £70.
They have ruined the experience and no money can make it up!
PS: I hope to get the refund as i am not sure anymore... will see :(( ((((
Please guys NEVER NEVER USE IT! I should have look for reviews first

I have had to come to the conclusion that this is a scam. 2 tickets advertised at £87 each but cost me over £240. Tried to cancel immediately as the show is not what I
Thought it was and they would not cancel. The two email addresses do not accept emails.

Greatly recommend the service.
I've bought the tickets for the Drake concert at New York one day before the event.
There was a problem with the seller and they replace me with better tickets. Support reply very fast and was so helpful!
Totally recommend it!

Total price paid for two tickets for NFL game at Wembley was 4 or 5 times the face value (which was never disclosed during the purchase process of course.)

Tickets were good and arrived on time but I am so disgusted at the markup of price I can't give more than one star. Will never use Viagogo again.

Panicked when I didn't get tickets via main ticket outlet and ended up buying tickets from Viagogo. Paid twice the price of the tickets and then nearly the same again in "fees". Now prices on their site for same tickets are reduced significantly. Really hoping that they are valid tickets after some of the other comments I have read. Never again!

Seriously wish I had read some reviews before buying tickets through viagogo. Ended up paying way more than I would have if I had bought them anywhere else (no idea why I didn't)
When on the website, they trick you into thinking tickets are nearly sold out to get you to pay, when actually there are plenty of tickets still for sale.

Do not buy from these Criminals, they mislead you into force buying tickets. I bought 2 tickets for ed Sheeran thinking they were costing me £197.32 only after purchasing did they reveal the actual price £547.98! You can't speak to them on the phone, and get blanket emails in reply for refund. Disgusting behaviour, will NEVER use again.

Many people, including my 17 year old sister have been completely ripped off by their unclear and misleading ticket booking process. Instead of paying £277 for two Ed Sheeran tickets, my sister was charged £554! Which she only realised AFTER payment. This has happened to so many people, which i think is absolutely disgusting. Undoubtedly viagogo are aware of this issue and the website is purposefully designed to be confusing.

Terrible, criminal company! DO NOT USE. We are reporting them to Trading Standards.

Don't buy from this site. They charge inflated which are not reflected in the tickets. It's a rort. I bought 4 tickets to Hans Zimmer's European concert and got whacked with an extra 24 euro per ticket.

Truly appalling service.
Won't talk to customers on phone earlier than 72 hours before event (didn't test this so only have their word for that even then) - seem to rely upon online chat line type communications - responses to this erratic in my experience
Truly obcsene ticket price markup - 2 Bootleg Beatles tickets, standing with restricted view at Albert Hall with face value of £25 each (do not recall this mentioned at time of online purchase in December) cost total price of £139.29.
Promised e-Tickets but they then changed this and required me to wait in for non-timed delivery by UBS|to be signed for.
I can think of no redeeming feature for this outfit and sincerely hope they go out of business.

It is official that Viagogo are often selling both fraudulent and invalid tickets to ill-informed customers.
Customer service is non existent, and its pretty evident (e. G Ed Sheeran tickets) that Viagogo are in cahoots with well known ticket tout cartels and underworld figures.

They're quite an informal setup, which seem to cower behind an FAQ page and unknown place of business (i'm guessing its a small room above nail salon with a constantly ringing telephone).

Overall, they give you that feeling that the person on the other side of the transaction is sitting on a deck chair in Accra, Ghana.

Feel very sorry for all the people out there who were conned out of money by these cyber bandits.

Tip for consumers:
Get your tickets through official means.

16 year old daughter bought 4 tickets for Ed Sheeran not realising a) secondary sellers b) invalid tickets c) price per ticket d) extortionate fees. She unwittingly paid over £1100 wiping out her college savings. Now being ignored by customer service robots.
Do NOT use this website.
Knowingly selling invalid tickets must be fraud?!

I got 2 pink tickets today. They added $110 each to the advertised ticket price. I found their t&C's https://www.viagogo.com/au/Help/Buyer/11
So you don't know this when you feel rushed to buy Tix but they add taxes delivery and all sorts of hidden fees. Read the t&C's it may help you get $$ back because if you're refused entry the seller does not get paid. Get proof you were denied entry ( hopefully venue would verify) and report to viagogo within 14 days otherwise their buyer guarantee void. Consumer affairs reckon that tickets are still too new to be fake so don't think I'll be turned away but won't count on it. Order summary does not have seat numbers which worries me. I'll ring venue Monday. Still angry over inflated prices though. It's just not worth it

Ordered tickets for Super Bowl. Was told 4 days before that seller was releasing tickets (Ticketmaster). Got phone call 1 hr later saying that seller is refusing to release tickets. Offered me refund or downgraded section. Said tickets would be sent to my phone day of event. Didn't chance it opted for refund. Next day $3400 in fraudulent purchases are on my card from stores. Only time I used card in last 2 wks was on their site. Criminals usually end up working for criminal organizations. They just bought StubHub so cross them off list also.

My intention was to buy two Santana tickets at $165 each - as per the booking site. The website showed "Currency: AU$ Australian Dollars" An exorbitant $90+ booking fee that was hidden in a General Information tab, was added to the above amount.

The final insult - the amount deducted from my bank account was converted to US$, bringing the purchase from $330 to a whopping $590. This matter has been handed over to my banking credit card department to investigate further. I didn't think that scams of this nature were happening on popular, well visited event sites.

And it appears that the ticket is actually issued but Ticketek - are they aware of this scam. Beware!

Misleading thieves! I'd give 0 stars if it were an option. Shocked they are able to operate!

This is an awful service which just encourages people to bulk buy tickets and sell them on way above cost, ripping people off in the process. They don't make it clear you're spending multiples of the price of the original tickets for no reason. I will NEVER buy through this site again. AVOID at all costs. Always try to go directly to the venue or use more transparent vendor platforms such as ticketswap. Viagogo are not clear about their service, they are set up to inflate prices and make commissions. TERRIBLE!

Searched tickets on line to see Jimmy Barnes. Viagogo come up in the search engine so i purchased tickets with the added pressure of falsely showing a timer of tickets selling out!
Brought 2 tickets in the nose bleed section totals $458, $175 each, $90 booking fee, $17 postage.
Later saw tickets at Ticketmaster for $101... best seats in the house $120! Absolute rip off and in my opinion totally illegal considering my tickets arrived from ticketmaster... is that not scalping.

Be aware when you buy more than 1 ticket on their website! The programmers wrote it that you never see the sum of the tickets you purchase, I ended up paying 10x more for a open air concert... and guess what, no response from their client service department (do they have one) or via Twitter. I will never use them again! I am sure many more were conned like me..

I am astonished that this "company" are allowed to continue advertising on Google. My personal experience with them is pretty much the same as everyone else on here... misleading, grossly overcharged for two ryan adams tickets, tickets arrived with someone else's name on them blah blah blah.
They must be laughing all the way to the bank as they charge for initial sales and seemingly take another huge cut of the profits if you decide to sell your tickets on. Having read of other people getting to the venue and being refused entry I didn't risk the journey ( I am disabled) I cannot believe that these folk are still getting away with what can only be classed as extortion. Minus godbknows how many stars.
