I used viagogo to purchase tickets without reading any reviews. I then read the reviews here and became very anxious. The e tickets came through but were in Row S instead of Row R as I had ordered. I wasn't worried about being one row behind but the discrepancy worried me in case it was a sign of the tickets being dodgy. I used Live Chat a few times and they were really friendly and reassuring. I was still nervous when I got to the venue but only because of all the negative reviews I had read. As it happened, we sailed through the gates and happily took our seats in Row S.
Not only did I not receive the tickets I purchased, but customer service was not help at all. Live chat is the only option and on several occasions had to wait over 30 minutes for an operator. I was at the event trying to get things straightened out and was told I would receive an email listing replacement options and it never came. I finally the day after got them to agree to a refund, but surprise, surprise it will take 10 business days
OMG! I am so glad that this place exists. I got the best price on tickets to see Billy Idol at The Cosmopolitan, keeping in mind that floor tickets were sold out through The Cosmopolitan. I paid face value plus the same fees that were actually being charged. Thank you.
We purchased tickets to Keith Urban concert in Melbourne from overseas and when we received the first tickets they were for the wrong night and cost the buyer $99.00 we paid $183 per ticket.
Waited days for a response to our complaint and were sent another persons tickets for the correct concert however, this time valued at $72.00 each.
We were so cross we visited the venue on the day to complain about Viagogo and to check the e-tickets were going to get us into the concert. They confirmed the maximum price should have been $99.90 per seat for the location of the seats we were given.
They deserve zero stars based on our experience.
Keep well away from this crowd as not only is the admin fee a rort, there is no way of stopping the ticket gouging that is taking place using the Viagogo website.
My experience is similar to most. My tickets (which I paid four times what I should have) were turned away at the gate. I received a letter of denial from the event. I tried mailing it to the address I was given but the letter was returned unopened. There is no way to attach it to their text box on-line and I cannot get past the automated answering machine by phone to talk to anyone. I have spent hours trying to get through to these people. My advice to anyone is to just stay away from this company.
ViaGoGo came up top of Google Search for X Factor Live Events. Purchased on line. Prices thought to be high - but if that's what they cost, then so be it - so I thought. When the Tickets arrived (one plus point) the Face Value on the Ticket was +211% on the Face Value. Yes 211%. £113.55 for a £36.50 Seat. How are they even allowed to trade without prior disclosure of breakdown of charges? Live and learn. Live and learn!
Booked two tickets to Adele in Melbs. They were a bit pricey $275 each, the booking/ admin fees seem a bit of a rip off, but after the reviews from the Syd. Show I figured they were worth it. After pops ups and messages on the screen saying only 1% of tickets left I was a bit suspicious this was a ploy to get the desperate people to cough up, and not leave the web site, and yeah they got me as I hurried to buy. After my first CC didn't work a few times I used another and it worked. Later that night I checked out the reviews for Viagogo and 90% of them said this web site was a scam, I was instantly disappointed thinking I've just done my cash. So we spent the next week fretting as I booked the flights straight after I booked the concert tickets.
Anyway, good news! We just walked through the gate and high fives all round!
What a rip off. I bought tickets for my daughter to the Hard Summer Music Festival in Fontana for twice as much as the other websites! I couldn't contact them to get a refund so I went through my credit card company and was told I couldn't file a dispute. I wish I would have checked this out before, it's my own fault but if anyone reads this, don't use them!
On 1st December My Madonna tickets were cloned. I was reissued new tickets to then be told by O2 that they had been closed. On 2nd I was promised a full refund and have not received it. 15 emails and 4 phone calls later I'm still no closer to getting my refund. I have even been refused a phone call from a supervisor. Do not use this company. And absolute disgrace!
Ordered some tickets for a concert in october for this weekend (feb 11th) and been told by viagogo that i have no tickets! They were a christmas present for my son who has been looking forward to this concert. No phone number to ring, and not much of an apology either. Will NEVER use them again
Absolute crooks - I was sold tickets that when received, where NOT the tickets I purchased - they were at a lower price and in a nose-bleed section of the concert - almost half the cost/price of what I paid for them.
Viagogo support was awful, automated responses and never really understanding the issue or at least ignoring it. They said the reseller uploaded the wrong tickets and they were trying to find new tickets.
These guys are absolute crooks/scammers - avoid at all costs.
Misleading the public to think they are official sellers. I was overcharged £250 and no breakdown - only just realised they had scammed me and I called my bank and they are fully aware of this company. They receive complaints all the time about them so am now seeking legal advice.
I bought tickets for Bolshoi Theater and overpaid just to have the security of international site.
They didn't ship the tickets and they did not reply to any of my 4 online queries. This lack respect, professionalism and quality of service. I would never buy any ticket for any country in the world from this site! I would pay double, but never have to do anything with this company!
What a rip off! Booking fee of over £40 per ticket and overpriced tickets as well. I paid over £400 for two tickets as a birthday present for my sister. Face value off the tickets is £65.
Even $#*! Turpin had the decency to wear a mask.
This website its run by scalpers. They will overcharge you by at least 50% as was my experience. I ordered the tickets as a gift not realizing i was being overcharged until my husband pointed it out the tickets were much less than i paid. Avoid being scammed and don't buy from here.
This site gets 1 star from me only because they cannot get 0. If I were to say their customer service is awful I would be lying, because there is no customer service. When asked if the tickets that were intently purchased could be replaced with other tickets that were (in their opinion) an "upgrade," and I went to inquire, I was told that they were already in the mail and my account was charged. Literally impossible to get somebody on the phone, and email was entirely useless, as the individuals with whom I spoke avoided answering my questions altogether. Awful experience, awful company, awful fees and manipulation. Stay away.
The security officers at the Eurovision event stated the expensive front section tickets were fake. They took copies for forwarding to the local police. All the other many people refused entry also had Viagogo tickets.
I purchased tickets on viagogo as a gift for my daughters 16th birthday. The price was over 700 euro for a ticket, which, was pricey but was supposed to be best seated. The ticket's original price turned out to be 54 euro! And we bought 2 of them! Via logo robbed us for our money and should be banned! Trust me when i say STAY AWAY!
Not going to lie I was a little skeptical about using this site since I had never in my life heard of them. I read a few reviews some good some bad and in the end decided to take a chance. I purchased a ticket to Coachella 3 days before the event. They were originally going to be mailed to me but they instead decided that having a pick up point for me close to the venue would be best. They kept in constant contact with me emailing me with updates. Even if I had a question the response time was excellent.
I am in Split, Croatia, in an apartment with all my friends that are going to Ultra music festival tomorrow. I have just flown all the way here and my Viagogo tickets for the festival have not been sent to me! I need them within the next few hours otherwise I will sue them

We have just been really ripped off, we had the same opinion about this looking like a good deal to get tickets ahead of ticket master release and after hitting proceed they have added another £110 booking and handling charge which is outrageous and they also do not recognise the booking reference they have sent through when we tried to contact them. Bad news!
Hi,
I bought tickets on Viagogo and then resold them on there. The original seller has now said they can't provide the tickets so the transaction has been cancelled meaning I cannot now supply my buyer. Viagogo are saying I am responsible and are going to charge me. I don't seem to be able to get anybody to understand the situation. How can I be held responsible?
Thanks
Tickets to Australian AFL tickets were totally misrepresented. Wrong section delivered and viagogo refused to step in. They are based in Europe so no phone number to call. Written responses in broken English and I am afraid unprofessional. Viagogo supports scam artists in Australia
As a business professor, consultant in Texas, this is one of the worst businesses I have ever encountered. After 8 months of buying a ticket, I did NOT receive it. Called and emailed Viagogo and always received the same scripted response, "we can't do anything until the seller does something." Consumers: Get your ticket(s) elsewhere! Otherwise you'll lose over USD450 as I did.
Tip for consumers:
Simply buy your ticket(s) elsewhere.
