I used viagogo to purchase tickets without reading any reviews. I then read the reviews here and became very anxious. The e tickets came through but were in Row S instead of Row R as I had ordered. I wasn't worried about being one row behind but the discrepancy worried me in case it was a sign of the tickets being dodgy. I used Live Chat a few times and they were really friendly and reassuring. I was still nervous when I got to the venue but only because of all the negative reviews I had read. As it happened, we sailed through the gates and happily took our seats in Row S.
Not only did I not receive the tickets I purchased, but customer service was not help at all. Live chat is the only option and on several occasions had to wait over 30 minutes for an operator. I was at the event trying to get things straightened out and was told I would receive an email listing replacement options and it never came. I finally the day after got them to agree to a refund, but surprise, surprise it will take 10 business days
I have been battling to get in touch, it's a nightmare. When I did find a way to contact them they said they've had no record of my tickets though they had sent an email saying they had sold them as requested, The money, a lot, has gone from my account.
Emails are not accepted and you cannot speak to anyone, DONT use these people.
I feel sick.
Complete rip off. Can't believe i fell for this. I foolishly bought tickets for David Essex on 20 Oct and paid £163 for two with a face value of £112. That in itself I could just live with but went to SSE Arena website and they are actually selling the same tickets at face price of £112 for two. Huge schoolboy error as you should always check with event place first. Ah the power of wisdom.
They pay to get to the top of google search results, then sell the cheapest tickets they can buy at triple price. You are sucked into thinking you are dealing with the official ticketing agent, but this is just a massive SCAM. Bottom feeding, amoral low life thieves.
Discussed with this company. Will rip any one off that deals with them my advice to anyone is never use then unless your happy to pay well over the odd for your tickets. My mother brought me ticket for Jimmy car she paid more then double the ticket office price but she didn't know any better. She booked with them because they came up top on goggle search for tickets. When trying to contact the company the Web site sends you round in circles. Then when you finally find a number to contact then they charge you highly for doing so. Really not happy! Shocking service.
I paid way over the ticket price for 'Category A' tickets and when we got to the venue found that they were in fact 'Category D - restricted view' tickets - they don't answer phones or emails they just duck for cover under their great impenetrable hi-tech system of ripping everybody off. Don't be a sucker like me, make sure you go to the other ticket guys.
Viagogo, dont refer me to your customer service - it does not exist! I need a direct line and physical address.
Viagogo wont transfer my money to my paypal account. Multiple requests made
The company needs to be legally persecuted!
My daughter bought two tickets in mid December for Strictly Come Dancing Live Show as a Xmas present for my wife and I. The email she received from them showed a Ticket Price of £68.99 each, plus a Booking Fee of £40.11, Delivery Fee of £14.22, plus Vat of £8.02, TOTAL £200.33. The tickets arrived today showing a price of £45.00 + £1.50 ( VAT included).
Viagogo are a money making outfit who should be avoided at all cost.
I sold tickets on this website and never got paid for them. They're customer service is atrocious. Avoid this website at all costs. I feel like people are still getting caught to their tricks and should be more aware.
This is a ticket reseller that buys in bulk and then marks up. In my specific case, an event was postponed indefintieyl and they refuse a refund. Thank God for my legal insurance, I am now going after them.
We got great seats, but didn't realize there was an additional handling charge. Oh well, great seats to the concert, despite the fact that they were in someone else's name, which was a little worrisome. Worked out okay though.
Bought some ticket from viagogo for what i thought was not a bad price
Number of Tickets: 2
Price per Ticket: £47.92
Total Ticket Cost: £95.84
Booking Fee: £26.61
Delivery Fee: £7.19
VAT: £5.32
Adjustment: -£0.00
Total Charge: £134.96
Dropped through the letter box yesterday and the tickets only cost £20 each hows that work
I clicked on what I thought was a link to take me to the actual ticket sales of an event, didn't think anything of it and then checked out and realised after I had been charged $71.40 per ticket as a "booking fee" complete and utter rip off and I am absolutely disgusted that this is allowed to happen. So where I should have paid $400 for tickets I have now paid $700 for tickets thinking that was my only option. I am so disappointed in myself for not being smarter, but this should be shut down.
This company charged me $348.00 for unrestricted views and I received $25.00 tickets for standing room. What a scam! Plus they make you believe the concert is going to sell out immediately and it never does. More sadly if you try to dispute the charge with your bank or credit card company you will lose. The vendor talks a slick game and unfortunately it is the consumer who loses. Shame!
I wish to God I'd read these reviews before I paid out for tickets to a Yankees game in New York.
It bought 2 tickets for my partner as the game was on his birthday.
Repeatedly lied to and mugged off.
How and why are these scumbags getting away with still being in business?
I'm going to contact Watchdog - if they get enough complaints about the same company they will look into it.
I urge everyone NOT to buy from this company and for the rest of us to contact Watchdog.
OK, what a fool am I... Bought tickets for our wedding anniversary for Cirque du Soleil. Apparently, only a few tickets were left, so I felt no option but to pay the horrendous price, as it was our anniversary. I received the tickets via email, printed them out, and they are only worth $100 per ticket. So I just over paid $600. No news from viagogo if I will ever retrieve my money. What wankers.
I needed to re sell 2 tickets for Bob Dylan in Cardiff. 2 tickets cost under £360 but rocketed to £430 when 'costs' added. When I re sold them I was quoted under £300. I won't get this until mid May. How the government lets these people operate is beyond me. Also, no phone or email address to contact them. Should be 0 stars
I purchased tickets for a concert I really wanted to go with my daughter. This is the first and last time I would use ever this site. When I got the tickets the mark was 100% above the actual face value of the ticket. I have purchased tickets before on line and have paid an additional costs for booking fees etc but never twice the price. They should be charged with fraud as the say ticket might cost a bit more but this is daylight robbery. If I could give them zero stars that's what they would get.
Got a good price on lawn seats. Must've been too good because they refused to fulfill them but said I could go back and purchase different ones which were twice the price. They say the tickets are guaranteed but thats not remotely true.
Ordered tickets not realising this site is not connected to theatre box office. Tickets plus charges cost £153 and only found out when tickets arrived in somebody elses name who had paid £17.90 for them. Rang box office who told me how these people work and I felt totally hacked off!
Well you live and learn but how is it that these people get away with daylight robbery. Keep well away from this site at all costs!
Bad experience I have gone to bank to put in dispute resolution as I paid via credit card and haven't received legitimate tickets. More people that do this world wide the better, my bank is very interested and investigating. Bank contacted me on Friday to bring in all correspondence emails to and from VIAGOGO. So they are taking this seriously. I suggest all you others do the same. Keep your paper trail.
I paid way over the odds for tickets to see Dixie Chicks at Manchester Arena from Viagogo. I needed to sell one of four tickets and listed the ticket on Viagogo. I reduced the price during the last week when there were very few tickets left for Block 115. Did not sell but at the concert someone was sitting in my unsold seat! When I contacted Viagogo the next day expecting a refund they said that they were unable to sell my ticket! I sent three e mails and got the same reply every time. I will never use this ticket site again and would advise everybody to stay clear. It's a SCAM site!
Robbing gits- a complete scam. Tickets were very expensive (£478) and refused at the gig. I bought as a gift and absolutely gutted. How do they get away with it? Very clever website that looks very original. Anyone know of any means of getting the cash back?
Viagogo refuses to give me the tickets For Pearl Jam. Concert postponed due to Covid. Now that the concert is happening, Viagogo can't find them. Are you kidding me? They owe me $600. In criminal law that's called theft. In Viagogo world it's called "sorry, we'll look into it" das pass and they defer call after call. Never will I use them again, nor should you unless you have money to burn. Buyer beware.
Tip for consumers:
Buy you tickets through ticket master and use AXS

On Oct 2018 I purchased 2 tickets for a gig in March 2019 at £125 total cost. Tickets had still not arrived one week prior to gig. Contacting Viagogo support I was told that I would receive e-tickets rather than physical tickets. When the e-ticket was downloaded for Viagogo and printed the e-ticket proved to be a PDF of a Gmail box email and not a ticket at all. Screenshot of PDF is attached here as proof.
From my experience Viagogo is a scam and buyers should beware.
My Hubby ordered Race course tickets from them 6 weeks before the event, 3 days before we were due to go, they sent an Email cancelling the purchase and just put the money back in the bank! No Explanation and we had family coming for the day from far away, time booked off, hotel rooms booked, disgusting.
