I used viagogo to purchase tickets without reading any reviews. I then read the reviews here and became very anxious. The e tickets came through but were in Row S instead of Row R as I had ordered. I wasn't worried about being one row behind but the discrepancy worried me in case it was a sign of the tickets being dodgy. I used Live Chat a few times and they were really friendly and reassuring. I was still nervous when I got to the venue but only because of all the negative reviews I had read. As it happened, we sailed through the gates and happily took our seats in Row S.
Not only did I not receive the tickets I purchased, but customer service was not help at all. Live chat is the only option and on several occasions had to wait over 30 minutes for an operator. I was at the event trying to get things straightened out and was told I would receive an email listing replacement options and it never came. I finally the day after got them to agree to a refund, but surprise, surprise it will take 10 business days
I was excited when I saw that tickets for Royal Ascot were at last on sale. The timer started ticking away telling me that tickets were selling out fast. I didn't want to waste any time and lose the tickets therefore just didn't see the horrendous booking fee and delivery charges. Before I knew it I had agreed to pay and then read the reviews. I feel quite sick. I would like to cancel the credit card transaction but don't think that I am allowed to do that.
Paid $400 per tickets for adele and when i received them they were only worth$103.95 how does this company get away with this and then also charges $80 booking fee per ticket! Would never recommend this company to anyone. Complete disgrace!
This is a great cheat! I was stupid to buy 2 concert tickets from Viagogo before I checked the backgrounds of this firm. They give false information in their marketing and charge unreasonable extra. You don't know beforehand how much you are actually going to pay. I bought 2 tickets with a price of 75 euros each. The total invoice was over 320 euros!
Google Viagogo and check the customer experiences before doing any purchase from this firm! The web is full of angry customers with cheating experiences. I made my mistake. Never buy anything from this joint. Avoid this firm like a plague!
Paid Viagogo $500 for Ringo Starr show in Oakland. Show was cancelled; imagined it would be a simple procedure to refund tickets from a cancelled show. Instead there followed an endless avalanche of auto-responses to my dozen requests. Never resolved, never spoke to a human. How do they stay in business? Don't waste your money.!
I bought tickets for a Barcelona FC match; they were expensive with additional costs for administration and delivery, despite being e tickets. They provided the wrong tickets and then created huge obstacles to prevent me selling them on. An absolute con!
Recently, we bought tickets for Eminem at Twickenham. The face value including VAT of the tickets wer £110.00 per ticket. Viagogo has charged me £503.00; over double the value. They charged 2 lots of VAT which I dont believe to be right. I tried to contact them regarding this matter and they placed the blame with the ticket issuer LIVENATION.co.uk. I will be taking this further. As previous reviews has said they have completely taken advantage of the rush to buy or miss out and and charged just what they felt like.
I purchased tickets to an event that was cancelled. There was no make up date, it was just a full cancelation. I contacted Viagogo several times and each time they would say they were processing my refund.
Fast forward several months and now they are saying they will not refund me, but they will allow me to sell the tickets with no processing fee on their site.
YES Sell the tickets to an event that didn't happen, and wont happen ever. How much do you think I can get for those do you think?
Total scam of a company. NEVER purchase from them, they literally steal your money.
Tip for consumers:
A tip would be never to use them. They will steal your money.

I bought tickets to a show that was cancelled with no make up date or plan to move forward . According to their published policy they should issue me a refund but refused.
I bought two tickets for edinburgh playhouse and paid a total of £108 which included overpriced tickets, a high booking fee and postage. It's only when you pay that the extras come up. I could have got the tickets through another company for £50. Do not use viagogo!
Clearly like many others I have been conned out of my money... I am hoping for some tickets but who knows at this stage reading this website and many others whether I'll even see tickets. Hopefully there can be some government intervention to ban this site in Australia.
Bought tickets in March for a July concert. Tickets did not arrive until about 12 hours before the concert, but I had already purchased elsewhere that day because the Ryman box office said the voucher was a FRAUD. Viagogo promises tickets 3 days before event, but does not send them. Now Amex will not allow my dispute, so I am out the $350+. These people should be put out of business!
Never ever use this site for any ticket purchase purposes. They are a complete scam with no consumer protection plan with no legit communication/ticket delivery methods.
I am in the process of reporting this company as a consumer fraud business within the USA and also for international authorities.
I bought a couple of tickets for a concert in Japan, which is usually a difficult task for a foreigner. It worked very well, they sent them to a friend's home since by the ticket sale dates we already would be traveling. My friend received them and my wife and I got into the concert without any problem. Great experience!
Ordered tickets to a World Cup Qualifier at embarrassingly expensive price. Refused to provide seating details and horrendous instructions for receiving the tickets. Arrived as instructed, called the number as instructed and provided all the information necessary to receive the tickets,
Nobody delivered or attempted to deliver or call regarding delivery.
Viagogo, with absolutely no proof (I have all the phone records) is stating the seller delivered the tickets.
I will be pursuing this until proper resolution.
This company has no business operating!
All the bad reviews that is given to this site is not fair... everything went ok with. I bought tickets for barcelona vs Madrid. And the seats were exactly as it says on the site. Excellent service when I arrived to Barcelona. All was organized. Just made my beautiful experience perfect
Been waiting for a payment for the tickets i've sold for over two months.
A month ago i've got a replay that the money was sent but they won't provide the SWIFT code for it.
They had me enter my bank credentials again and haven't heard from them since.
They sure know how to keep customers happy.
Just received our tickets for Hyde Park Radio 2 who on Sunday paid £458 for the tickets which have a face value of £98 for the two. Absolute rip off. Organisers need to stop Viagogo form purchasing all future tickets. Please protect us from these rip off merchants. They need to be shut down
Bought two tickets for the Iron Maiden concert in Madrid only to be sold two tickets in different rows. Having written twice I have now been told that the seller made a genuine mistake. Obviously no one at Viagogo speaks Spanish. I am now waiting for two replacements... can you see that pig fly?
This website charged me for tickets they delivered late. They will not reimburse and act as stupid. They are thieves and have no respect for their sellers. I sold however $30,000 on this site and when there is a little issue, no customer service and only denial. Deleting my account and going to StubHub.
I've used viagogo many times to purchase tickets and never had a problem, except for once last year when I purchased fake tickets to a JT concert which has made me sceptical to buy from them since. We ended up having to buy new tickets on the night from the box office however, viagogo did refund the amount for the original fake tickets which most companies would not do so thank you for that!
Bought 2 tickets for a concert last week at Wembley paid over £400 pounds. When they arrived a few days before the event the price on the tickets was £55 there is booking fees and there is extortion, will never use again, very angry.
My husband bought tickets as a gift, from the company at the top of the list online... which is Viagogo. Never heard of them... and wish I never had. We paid a fortune almost £400 for tickets that arrived 2 days before the show... with another persons name on... but they are not the seats we paid for and do not have the VIP entry we bought. So stressful and this company are not interested in any communication. Just never use them. They should be banned!
Avoid. The worst company I've ever dealt with. Selling tickets which we know are priced up which is fair enough, take a £50 fee for matching a buyer and seller which shows right after you've selected a ticket but then don't actually guarantee the ticket in their small print. Bought a ticket for a gig, chased them as hadn't received the ticket to my phone. Kept saying all day it will be there, spent hours on the phone to them. Then 2 hours before the gig just said can't fulfil your order BY EMAIL. So a trip to London wasted. Shocking customer service. They were then selling the same tickets through their site but wouldn't match me to one as the sellers were now selling for higher prices. Never review usually but just don't use them. Realised how bad the reviews are elsewhere and numerous newspaper articles about how shocking the business model is.
I was able to get tickets for a sold out concert in Tokyo. The tickets came quickly by courier. Yes, of course I paid more than face value- but it was worth it. My daughter and I had an awesome time at the Taylor Swift 1989 concert, the show was worth every penny we paid. Will definitely use Viagogo again and have recommended the site to friends.
Paid them in October 2016 for Broadway show tickets in March 2017. Two days before the show, they wrote that they had been unable to secure the tickets. Tremendous disappointment after having made expensive travel arrangements. They did refund, but for five months they had my money in their bank. Isn't this a scam? I strongly discourage the use of this service. I am writing to all my friends about this terrible experience and asking them to tell their friends to spread the word.
I purchased two tickets for Beth Hart in Nashville, TN. For 09/21/2018, the concert was cancelled because of medical problems. It was then changed to april, 27 2019 they will not refund my money, said I could sell the tickets!
