Joseph Collier was excellent in providing me quality service and quality time. He even assisted me beyond his normal work hours to answer any concerns and questions to my complete satisfaction. I highly recommend Vroom should the rest of their services match Joe's expertise and care. He is professional yet friendly, so it was a pleasure to do business with him.
Absolute Scammers! Horrible customer service! They answer the phone to transfer to another line that never answer or return calls or emails. Purchased my car from them 2 weeks ago, inside was filthy, outside with others imperfections that they don't tell you or show you in pictures. Now I'm still dealing with vroom trying to contact them daily because I open a ticket for issues about the car and my vehicle has yet to be registered and I don't receive the title yet, our temporary tags is going to expired. Stay away! Don't waste your money! Go to anyone else..
This will sound like a repeat of other postings but my faith in Vroom has disappeared. Great communication up front, then when contracts signed, nothing. I had to contact them for everything. I bought a car and traded in my Jeep. It's already been cleaned up, photos taken, and posted for sale (https://www.vroom.com/inventory/jeep-wrangler-unlimited-2021-1C4JJXP68MW*******). I don't know how they can sell it when the lien has not been payed off. I think this is why so many deals are taking a long time to complete. They are selling vehicles that still have a lien. Surely they are breaking the law.
Absolute disaster from start to finish. No one communicates between departments and if what you are asking is outside of their jurisdiction, they transfer you to someone who has no idea the context of the account. I have had issues with the contracting and delivery team from the start, as no one has given me the same answer twice. I was told that the documentation was received and that my car would be delivered this week... but miraculously the paperwork isn't there. Or is it? I'm not sure, because I have been given different answers every time I call. Please save yourself all of this trouble and just buy local.
No lengthy review needed. They lost my title and I've (all together) spent 5 hours+ on the phone with them
- No follow up
- Slow at every level
- Friendly folks on the phone, but an inability to actually accomplish anything.
Dealerships are a drag, but, better than this.
Absolute headache! Horrible customer service! They never answer the phone or return calls or emails. Purchased our van from them 2 months ago, inside was filthy. Now 2 months later I'm still dealing with vroom trying to contact them daily because our vehicle has yet to be registered and our tags have expired. Stay away!
I've left messages, unsuccessfully called customer service, and written reviews. I can NOT get in touch with a live person to help me sort this out. I will say, Vroom did respond back on one of my complaints, however, they did not provide me with any resolution or contact information. Just a BS offer of "We want to fix this".
I tried customer service again, their response was to tell me how busy they are. I bet, I'm probably only 1 of many people that they have put in a financial bind by doing this.
Anybody have any suggestions on how to get somebody on the phone that could actually help?
The process of selling my car was so easy - the questionnaire made it simple, emails explaining every step of the way. Vroom came out and picked up my car - again, no issues. HOWEVER, they sent the payoff check to the wrong address, the FedEx was returned to Vroom. I had to make a car payment for a car that I shouldn't own! To make matters worse, its IMPOSSIBLE to get someone on the phone. The first time I called, I spent over 90 minutes on someone that had obviously just started. She "submitted a ticket and someone would call me back the next day". They didn't. I called back 2 days later, asked to speak to a supervisor, after being on hold for over 50 minutes (not an exaggeration!), I finally hung up and called again. I've now been on the phone for on hold for a supervisor again for 41 minutes and counting. STILL NOBODY! How is this possible?
I would leave zero if possible. Hours on the phone still no title, over 33 THOUSAND dollars and cant register the car. You cannot ask question on your acct or change addresses, people to accept delivery etc. They never call to update you with a day of delivery, they don't answer the phone when you call to confirm the day. They were over an hour out of the window for delivery after being 2 days late. Any call is 20 plus minute conversations that are then ignored anyway. Placed on hold, transferred and transferred. My temporary registration is expiring, I still do not have a bill of sale despite 3 more 30 minute conversations yesterday so I'm not able to register the vehicle. Title, which I still don't have, is 4 to 6 weeks, and you must be home to sign for it. So no idea when that will happen. Definitely easier to be tortured at a dealership
There is NO legit company that has you sign a contract that "could" be adjusted UP or DOWN after signing and you are responsible for the increase. Keep in mind, agents will tell you what you want to hear and then deny or promise to amend your contract and don't follow through at all. Simply put, there are many more ethical alternatives out there and if you never want to see your $249 deposit again, deal with Vroom!
Lastly, try to find Vroom's corporate offices and contact phone numbers... they are no links whatsoever.
I don't understand how this company can compete with a dealership. How can a dealership turn around the entire transaction in half a day, and Vroom takes up to 3 weeks? The ONLY reason I am a Vroom customer is that the vehicle my wife wants is not available in the city we live in (or nearby cities). This process is unorganized, and no one at the company seems to give a rip that I am dissatisfied. The sales rep I started the process with was very sweet but was uneducated about their products. This is not her fault, but obviously a reflection of the company's hiring and training. I have had to re-send the same documents on multiple occasions. It's hard to believe in 2023, this is the best they can do.
Horrible experience. At the beginning it all seemed great up until the moment they were supposed to send the paperwork, title and registration. It's been 13 weeks since the car was delivered and we still don't have the bill of sale, a signed contract, the title, the registration, the plates. The temporary tag expired and we can't use the vehicle anymore because we're not allowed to drive it. Last time we did we got a ticket. Every time I call, they tell me the same lie, and nothing changes. We don't know what to do anymore! We're filing complaints every where, but so far nothing has improved or changed! STAY AWAY! Wished I had seen these bad reviews when I purchased.
I rarely write reviews, but I must warn you~ car lover, or car shopper. The pricing at Vroom is good, I traded a beautiful car for a nice price and bought a 2021 with only 800 miles on it. But that's the easy part.
Everything else sucks. The right hand has no idea what the left is doing.
Delivery problems, that was the easy part, 8 weeks to get title and registration.
Absolutely untrained people that have no understanding of the process.
Go to a dealer, it's worth the extra money, never again.
Car came with lot of scratches and rock chip in the front and it is a 2020 Toyota Sienna! They did not even wash the car before delivering.
Middle seat of the middle row is missing. It was not listed in the vehicle description. It says 8 passenger van.
It has been 5 business days since they received the trade in. So far no info on the payment. Horrible customer support. They said they would send me a touch up paint!?!? That is all they can do. If I return $599 delivery wont be reimbursed.
Delivery represented as 14 days or less.
Experience - 30 days.
Stated delivery refund on delivery.
2.5 weeks later, nothing.
Need paperwork for DMV and not forthcoming.
Website navigation is a joke.
Repeated phone inquiry is a joke.
I'm fine with the vehicle, but the process stinks.
They say "you will be kept up to date with every step in the process" That is not true and will spend too much time on the phone going no where.

I had no delivery problems other that they arrived a day before my scheduled delivery. Lucky I was home. Upon delivery I noticed a tire was extremely low. Turned out it had a cracked rim replacement cost $788. Vroom actually paid for it. Now keep in mind this was within the 1st 7 days. It's July in the desert and finally we get a sprinkle and what do you know my wipers don't work. Check fuses look good. I'm now concerned. But it's after 7 days. Post sale support after 7 days is nonexistent.
Purchased a Porsche on 5/3/2021 from Vroom. Five months later, after 5 temporary tags, they still didn't send permanent tags. The last temporary tags expired on 10/2/2021. They won't return calls, they won't provide new temporary tags saying they can't issue any more temporary tags. Paid for the car and submitted all registration paperwork 5 months back, but car is useless parked in the garage without tags. I don't understand why their dealership is not revoked. You would get a phone call multiple times every day until you buy the car and sign papers. Now, no return of calls, no permanent tags, no resolution, dead silence. Beware before you buy.
Received car in a timely manner. Was assured it went through a detailed inspection. Received with a headlight with moisture inside. Started car up and a loud rattling was heard, exhaust shield appeared to be not attached. Rust throughout undercarriage. Still waiting for refund.
I really can't put into words how bad they are it has to be experienced. To put it in perspective I canceled a transaction where I was going to get double for my trade then anyone else was offering because they are that bad, They keep asking for more and more documents and when one csr says you don't need that another one says we can't go forward without that. Nobody knows what the other person is saying absolutely no uniformity they really need to fold up and start again. I will never see my down payment or my title back for my trade I'm almost sure of it.
I found a car I like sent them money and now no one can tell me when the car is coming. The time spent trying to get answers has been a complete waste of my time. Run do not walk away from this company!
Horrible experience. I purchased a Mercedes 3 weeks ago and was told it was going to be delivered between 7/8 & 7/12. On 7/11 I called for an update and they said the carrier carrying 9 other vehicles had broken down 1000 miles away. No communication about this was received. I received daily phone calls from Vroom stating the driver wold update me. No calls were received. On 7/17 I get a call from the driver stating I could pick the car up from him he was 15 minutes away. Or he would deliver it in 2 days.
Answer: I got a good offer and my car is 2 years old and in better than average shape. In fact they offered 1400. 00 more than the local dealer, more than Carmax or Carvanna. Then I read reviews, the BBB and received the contract. In there point #7, they said they have the right to adjust the price and do not pay out until they inspect the car. Called and canceled the contract before it got any further. In this day and age I decided if I'm going to sell something I need to look at the person face to face. VROOM holds too many unknowns.
Answer: Don't trust them! Can't handle simple matters as honoring a deposit.
Answer: Awful. I have been waiting for a month and still don't have our deal done yet due to their disorganization and expiring their offer on my trade in, so now I have to start all over again with that process - which, by the way, was part of the reason I chose to buy from them!
Answer: Yes, wait and wait and wait and wait. Be smart, walk away from these people
Answer: Then go ahead and sell it! They do not force you to buy a car!
Answer: They are a bait and switch company! Truly what's on the internet is not always true! If it seems to good to be true? Probably to good to be true!
Answer: I wouldn't do it. Everything in my experience with them has been painful and fishy! I still don't have my deal done yet after a month!
Vroom's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to prolonged service delays and inadequate communication once transactions are completed. Customers frequently report issues with document processing, payment delays, and difficulties in obtaining vehicle registration and titles. While some positive experiences highlight effective sales interactions, these are overshadowed by widespread complaints regarding unresponsive customer service and perceived dishonesty. The overall sentiment suggests that while Vroom may attract customers with competitive pricing, the post-sale support and operational efficiency require substantial improvement to enhance customer trust and satisfaction.
