I have been buying since, at least, 2017 and never had a bottle that I didn't enjoy! Ordering is easy - although you have to be quick sometimes with some of the promotional offers. Prices seem fair, especially compared to my local sources. Shipping is free on six bottles or more which is a very attractive proposition. Delivery has become more efficient over the years to the point where an order is delivered at times within three days. Great to MD's Eastern Shore. The net result of all this is that I buy much more wine than once planned!
I accidentally placed an order, realized my mistake 2 hours later and contacted wsjwine.com via their chat bubble. They said they would try to cancel it but but the order has already gone to the warehouse and probably it couldn't be stopped. But if it was stopped I'd be charged a $28 restocking fee. Just plain stupid. Of course no phone number available to speak with a human. WSJWINE.COM from now on.
Your wine is always great! Even during the Covid 19 times, if you couldn't ship out wine within the usual amount of time, you let me know and provided a % off on my next order.
In the past 2 years we have gotten around 6 orders. All of the wines ordered are good. Some are exceptional and a few are "meh", but overall the quality is very good.

I ordered a case of wine based on tasting notes, in this case only two of the wines would I re-order. The response that I have gotten is no one that makes me satisfied. What gives?

There seems to be a service reduction, possibly due to the Covid19 pandemic, but it's hard to tell. I was a long time happy and completely satisfied customer that suddenly stopped receiving the daily/weekly email offers, for no reason that I could determine. Upon receiving a letter from Louis recently, I filled out the questionnaire and provided my email address and preferences. After about ten days, I sent an email to Customer Service asking why I still wasn't receiving email and there were three back and forth emails that followed that had me saying what my problem was -- with everyone bowing and scraping and apologizing -- but finally ending up with my stating my preference for emails. It's now about a week or more and I still don't receive any emails except those like the one to which I am responding now. I'm really frustrated at not being able to get my name quickly added to the email offers list -- how long could that take? 15 minutes? For all the time I've spent in the last month, I could have been ordering instead still trying to get the initial complaint satisfied. Delays in packing and shipping and delivery are understandable in the current environment; failing to get my name on an email list is not.

Why? Because you will not be prepared for the joy of the taste you are about to receive. Upon receiving my first order of wine, my expectancy was not high. I had ordered some "wine" just to have on hand for friends and family. Along with the pop, coffee, juice and beer. Before even tasting any of the wine, all was satisfactory because it wasn't expensive. But then to my amazement. No one complimented my pop, coffee, juice or beer. They did compliment my wine. AHHH! What could I do? Obviously, with the help of the website, multiple types of wine from around the world, lower than expected pricing for QUALITY wines and FREE expeditious shipping! I ordered again for me and sent some to my friends, I was and am a big fan of Wine Insiders! I am not a puppy. I am an old dog. In all my years of traveling to wine countries. Living in wine producing States. I get all of those tasting pleasures, I sought then, simply by staying home and ordering my wine from Wine Insiders and put the extra money in the bank!

I ordered a 6 bottle International mix of reds and whites. Received the order timely and was surprised to find that 5 of the 6 bottles were California wines. Seemed odd for an "International Mix", I wasn't aware California was an international location or even a country. I called customer service and explained my situation and was told that I misunderstood the add, it was from Regions of California. The ad clearly stated International wines from Italy, Spain and France. Then, I was told the they would credit me a portion of my next order. I said that you didn't get my first order right, why would there be a second. All I wanted was the order corrected. They seem to be unable to do that. There is no accountability or customer service on their end and seem to be incapable of making a customer happy. Be very cautious what you order. Was told I would be getting calls back and none so far. Hope someone in management actually reads this. Management appears to be insulated from these calls/service issues. Highly highly disappointed.

Some of the reds in the Mediterranean sampler were old and dusty... the corks were so mealy they disintegrated upon opening indicating improper storage

As for the corks-- the package protecting your wine is called Molded Fiber (or Molded Pulp) and is one of the most environmentally friendly and sustainable packaging solutions available. It is made from recycled newspapers and water!
The use of the molded fiber in place of EPS (Expanded Polystyrene), more commonly known as Styrofoam, saves 1.75 gallons of water and 1 kilowatt of energy. Due to the nature of the material, you may see some dust on the bottles due to the breaking down of the pulp as it protects your wine shipment. Let us know if you have any other questions!
