DONT EVERY USE THIS COMPANY, We had reservation booked through wise cars with thrifty at Denver airport when we got there thrifty was overbooked and about 200 people in line waiting.No guarantee of a car, they were suppose to refund our deposit, they never did and now I have to go through american express with dispute and we still have not gotten a credit. Total fraudulent advertisement with guarantee of car, they take your money overbook and your left with no car and no refund.
Expect for Wisecars to keep your money and be refused a car. I rented a car through Wisecars only to be told at day of pickup that the vendor would not issue a car to me because I was traveling from Texas to Colorado and Colorado was outside their limit of travel. The car rental guy snidely told me I probably shouldn't trust third party vendors because they don't tell you all the rules. He said he marked my reservation as denied and to get with Wisecars for a refund.
I then had to go to another company in the airport and pay double to continue with my planned trip.
I contacted Wisecars and they told me there were no refunds and it's clearly stated on their contract, but they would make an "exception" for me and refund 75% instead of the full amount because they still had expenses to cover in "processing" my reservation and refund. I rebutted this decision but they again shot me down in flames. This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience with Un-Wisecars. I don't want this happening to anyone else.
Bottom line: go with a reputable first line company that doesn't expect payment until you actually pick up the vehicle, and DO NOT deal with third party, bottom feeding, sweatshop boiler rooms. There are no free lunches.
I did not notice that there were STATE restrictions when I rented the car for a nearby state. When we arrived at the airport we were refused the rental and WISECARS refused to return our deposit (basically told I should have rented the fine print). Thieving bandits!

I had the worst experiance in my life with them.
Although verifing twice that the booking was confirmed, upon arriving to the rental office, the desk worker said he has no resarvation for me at all!
Morever he said it always happens with that site (which charges at advance and not making any resarvation!)
To make things worse, there were no other available cars in the last minute (tried some more agancies) and my vacation was basiclly ruined.
All the hotels outside town were allready booked, as well as tickets to the castles, museums and so on.
I lost tons of time and money, and all those scammers suggested was a refund (which i shouldnt even been charged at the first place).
To summarize, they are just providing fake attractive prices, but never ever contact that company if you wish to really recieve the car you booked.
If zero stars were an option, that would be more appropriate. You took over $200 from me for a rental car to be picked up on October 11th at *** in which my husband would be the driver. I was encouraged to put the reservation in his name since he would be the driver. I still owed $60ish. Upon my arrival, I tried to pay with the SAME credit card you took the $200 from. I was told I could not pay that way bc the card was in my name not the driver. I offered cash, he offered his debit card, but none of that suited. Therefore, we were **** miles from home and anyone we knew. I called your office only to be told "too bad". I called back after I arrived home days later only to be told "too bad". This company has stolen from me. You took my money and the only thing i got in return was stress and panic of being stranded with literally no one to help me. I'd like my money back. There is no amount of money that you can pay me to repair the amount of stress you caused me, but you can return the $200 that you literally stole from me.

Poor experience. Wisecars sends you to another retail - for me it was Alamo in Frankfurt. They don't have any capacity to run such number of rentals.
As a result I be Been waiting extra two hours to receive my car. In the meantime my child was screaming hungry. Awful. Avoid.
My complaint and emails to resolve got stuck in the wisecars pipeline who told me they cant speak German with their German partners.
Beyond ridiculous.

I was also overcharged by contractor ALAMO - meaning I had to pay more than already paid to Wisecars - of course I did it facing another hours of waiting and uncertinity.
Wisecars sent me a ptronising email stating that ` customers should return cars on time to avoid delays for others`.
Terrible company, terrible treatment. Hidden charges and long waiting times. That is a a shortest summary.

Also; this is my 3rd review on Wisecars I am posting. This incompetent company ignores my emails but handles the Trustpilot reviews serious enough to remove them from the service.

Wise Car Rental
STAY AWAY. Customers do not come first. On reservation prepay they gladly took my money using my debit/credit card no problem. Sent elderly disabled wife from TX to Ontario, CA on a personal trip only for her to get to Fox rental counter and be denied a car due to not having a 'major credit card'. The Fox attendant says "No worries, this happens all the time. We will send you over to United rentals and put a note in the system for you to get a refund."
Dismayed, overly tired from trip and not having a reliable option or ride back to terminal wife looked at the contract and it said bring 'credit card'.
Called Wise to ask why instructions do not say 'Major Credit Card'? The average consumer would catch that. They said it says credit card and since the wife did not follow those instructions they consider it a no show and therefore NO REFUND.
This is classic Rip-Off 101 and I hope the feds or BBB brings legal action to help vulnerable consumers or shut this company down.

So my partner and I booked an SUV for 37 days, at $2273 (as displayed on Wisecars' website) in San José (Costa Rica). We arrived at the airport, got a free shuttle to the car dealership (in this case, Routes Rental Car) which was nice, but once we started talking with the guy behind the counter, he told us we had an ADDITIONAL $2160 for mandatory insurance. We were told, verbatim, that we have "only paid for the car rental TIME through Wisecars, not for the whole package which Wisecars is known to neglect". I'm assuming to seem to have "better prices" in the eyes of competing brands. Total cost was over 5K, which at that point, we would've just bought a motorcycle for 1k-2k had we known we'd get this much money taken from us. It's ridiculous, there's no way this should ever happen. Book with trusted official parties, lesson learned I guess.
