Quite possibly the worst parcel delivery company I have had the misfortune to deal with, and I genuinely mean this.
To start off, on November 21, they delivered my package to an unknown location rather than my actual address. Based on the photo they provided, it was dropped off outside of a residential building I did not know.
The very same day, I contacted Yodel via Live Chat with an agent who came off as a little brusque. They told me they have initiated an investigation into this matter and that I will be contacted within the next 24 hours.
24 hours passed, and I did not receive a response. I had to contact them again and ask for any updates regarding the investigation. They then proceeded to tell me that they will contact me within the next 24 hours. So, I waited another 24 hours and still received no response. What a shocker. Assuming they might need to look into the matter some more, I generously waited another 24 hours and, sure enough, still no response. That is a total of 72 hours of waiting when I was promised a response within 24 hours.
I had to chase up Yodel a third time regarding this. The third time I spoke with them over Live Chat, they told me that they will get back within the next 24 hours. I explained that I was told this before twice but that seemed to completely go amiss with them. I waited yet again for another 24 hours and sure enough, no response.
It wasn't until November 26 that I received an update. I was told the investigation is still ongoing and to, surprise surprise, wait 24 hours for a response.
Two days later, on November 28, they gave me their final update. This was their message:
"We're reaching out regarding the recent investigation carried out by our service center. Unfortunately, the depot was unable to share conclusive information in the given timeframe. Therefore, we suggest that you get in touch with your sender for further guidance and support."
What a complete and utter waste of time. At this point, I had already gotten my money back for the non-delivered item, but no thanks at all to Yodel.
This company needs to be held accountable for their actions. A class action lawsuit, an injunction, or maybe even replacing the shower of jokers they clearly have there. People have spent money on things they need delivered, and this is how these clowns are screwing around.
The package did not arrive within the given time frame, or even by the end of the day. Customer service is unavailable.
They frequently deliver packages late and their customer service does not help at all. Even today, I stayed all day at home just for the delivery but my package has not been delivered yet and it's over 2h past their delivery window. On their tracking I can see the driver hasn't moved for 3h now. The driver clearly decided to just stop working and not complete their delivery route. When this happened in the past they returned the package back to the depot so I'm certain they will do the same this time too. It's not a one time occurrence, it's a pattern. In the past they also delivered damaged items. I will be raising a complaint with the retailer about Yodel and I will continue doing so every time there is an issue with Yodel delivery. I just can't wait at home every day until Yodel is in the mood to deliver packages. I won't be home tomorrow when they will claim to deliver the item. I waited all day today already for them. There wouldn't be a need to write negative reviews or raise complaints if Yodel's customer service was helpful but they just say "wait" when I know the driver won't deliver the package. Just contact the driver, find out what's happening. If the driver is not moving, they're able to answer the phone. Honestly, most of their customer service people don't even fully read my messages and give out of context replies. I told them the driver missed the delivery window, they proceed with telling me that the item will be delivered within the deliver window. Yodel will most likely reply to this review asking me for delivery details so they can "investigate". I provided tracking number with this review, they can investigate what has gone wrong if they really want to.
The scenario is as follows: this has happened twice, with two different parcels.
First, your parcel is delayed. Then, when you contact them, they assure you it will arrive shortly. After several days, you contact them again, and they open an investigation. Eventually, they inform you that your parcel cannot be located — and suddenly, you find out it has been sent back to the sender. You need pills to deal with them
I have been waiting for my parcel for two days and the experience has been extremely frustrating. The tracking system shows the driver is just one minute away, then suddenly it updates to show they are further away with no delivery attempt made. I contacted Yodel several times to ask where my parcel is, but the response I keep getting is that they "don't know." They say they can't contact the driver and they can't even track them properly, which is unacceptable for a delivery company. Today again, I stayed at home the whole day, waiting within the two-hour delivery window provided — but Yodel failed to deliver. They simply don't keep to their promises, and customers are left wasting time and energy.

This company deserves a negative rating for just how completely terrible they are. I am genuinely shocked that a company can be so completely and utterly incompetent at their main service and still be in business. I ordered an item through eBay, the seller left it with Yodel in good time on the 10th. The item was moved to a distribution centre on the 11th. This absolute joke of an excuse for a delivery company then spent more than a week not delivering it (I'm writing this review on the 19th and still haven't received my item), just holding it at their local distribution centre and apparently, according to their tracker, putting it in a van every day but making no attempt to actually deliver it. Part way through this godawful experience with a company that needs to look up the defintion of what a delivery is I messaged them to see what the problem was, they told me (and this is 6 days after they first had the item at their local delivery centre) that apparently the item had been put on the wrong van that was on a different delivery route. Was this being done every day? Was this done on the first day the item was in a place to be delivered? HOW DOES IT TAKE 6 DAYS FOR YOU TO JUST REALISE YOU'VE PUT AN ITEM ON THE WRONG VAN? How is this company even functioning? How are is Yodel so completely incompetent at their main function? The worst part of this whole experience? Yodel actually lied on their tracker and said they had attempted to make the delivery once part way through the week, yet (given I was at home) this was a complete fabrication. So not only are Yodel incompetent, they're flat out liars. I am still waiting for my delivery. Yodel should be utterly ashamed of just how completely and utterly useless they are, you should honestly just pack up the company and stop. You are a net-negative on this planet.
I wait all day the parcel. Even i lost very important meetings. On the map provided by Yodel said have 24 deliverys before me but when left 2 deliverys before me is coming a message which said - Sorry we couldn't deliver to you today. Please check back for updates -... is the worst delivery company in UK. Stay away.!

Zero stars for this company. Appalling handling of this order. This was due to be delivered by the 30th at the latest.
After being sent back and forth from the local depot to national depot and back again this was finally marked for delivery. I was given a 2 hour window and waited for delivery. At the point that the driver was 4 stops away my delivery was suddenly marked as delivery refused contact sender!.
Non existent customer service from live chat and a useless robot phone number. STILL no delivery of my parcel several days after the latest delivery estimate. Nobody is accountable for anything. Will avoid any company that uses yodel! Date of experience: 02 July 2025
Parcel delivered to the wrong adress ( with photo provided!) then lost. No reponsability for the loss taken. Less than poor help desk ( all automated and hopeless)

Probably the worst service I have ever had
Tell buyers that they turned up for parcel and it wasn't ready, these were posted to local shop, I have proof of sending, Then all you get is fobbed off with bull$#*!, website says talk to customer services, FUNNY FKRS ITS AN AUTOMATED CALL AND YOU GET CUT OFF, STEER CLEAR FROM THESE COWBOYS
This company advised the sender my address was incorrect & they couldn't deliver. Then when I contacted them (with great difficulty, could not get speaking to anyone) they told me they couldn't deliver because there was access issues to the property... there is NOT! Then when I went on live chat they cut me off twice instead of resolving. THEN once I was advised it would be looked into they sent me an email the next day to tell me they had returned the item to the sender. Useless company for deliveries& with zero customer service!
Since opening my account, just over a week / 10 days ago, everything has gone, as you would normally like to expect from a courier company, drop-off shops everywhere, and i even managed to speak to a human, and not a bot, on a Sunday night at 23.05, who solved my query instantly. Nothing but good things to say re YODEL to date,,
Paid for a next day service. I waited in all day and no one came. The app then said delivery had been attempted, which it hadn't. There was no calling card and the only options were to collect from a depot 30 miles away. Yodel are a bunch of deceptive liars. Do not pay for next day... It doesn't happen. Use Evri instead.

Paid for a parcel to be delivered in a drop off near my house and the driver dropped it off 25 miles away from me. Customer service knows about it and been waiting 3 days for an update. No one answering live chat or the phone. Worst most unreliable service there is.
Even the shop assistant said the driver probably forgot to deliver then just dumped at a drop off near them because the drivers are incompetent lazy and useless. Just like yodel as a company.
Awful. I was told my parcel would be delivered between 9.30 and 11.30. Still no sign at all. Live chat "aren't able to track the driver". They have until 9pm to deliver apparently - well then don't issue 2 hour timeslots. Have been trying to use the tracking information but just going round in circles, after being at the same place for 2 hours this morning (presumably having a leisurely breakfast or something). If not here by this evening (they can't "lose" this one, it's a mattress so way too big to be "lost"), or in the event of any calling card to try to cover up the fact they can't be bothered to deliver, will demand a refund from the seller and strongly advise them not to use Yodel under any circumstances. This is not the first time...
We were due a delivery on 4th Dect, later updated to 6th Dec.
Itis now 15th Dec and has not arrived.
Took ages to get through on Chatline - timed out 3 times - then assured it would arrive before 9pm on 14th Dec. Did not arrive and still has not - 15th Dec.
Avoid at all costs.
Yodel were supposed to deliver on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week - same parcel. Monday we saw the van come to the end of the drive, guy gets out, looks at the house, gets back in and drives away, no attempt to deliver. Minutes later a "sorry you weren't in" update. Since then, nothing but timewasting promises to deliver a parcel that they've clearly lost. Bad service is one thing - repeatedly lying is another.
You only learn about a company when things go wrong I would not recommend Yodel, a cowboy company. Ordered item. Told delivery would be 30th Nov, no delivery - Yodel had cheek to say delivery attempted, despite me sitting in all day waiting and monitoring their app which showed the van skirting my road several times from the 'estimated' delivery time of 2pm before they posted their 'apology' for missing me!? Asking me to reschedule. Re-scheduled for second delivery 2nd Dec, no delivery, then third delivery 3rd Dec, again no delivery. Complained to company who sent item and asked to cancel and refund so I can go elsewhere. Their reply? I would have to wait until item returned by Yodel? If they can't deliver to me how are they to return item? Yodel are a despicable company. My guess is Yodel have damaged or lost item, would explain why they didn't attempt delivery. Bear this in mind before ordering from any company using Yodel. Their site makes it impossible to contact Yodel direct, poor despicable company. Avoid at all costs, poorest courier by far!
Tracking showed 'delivery booked' 27th Nov. Still awaiting today 2nd Dec.

Answer: If you do get through you won't get your problem solved. All you get is it has been raised with the depot, but you still don't get your parcel. Don't even bother with contacting the driver they never answer their phone and they never respond to messages.
