I received my order 4 days early. As I had ordered a special anniversary gift very late, I was glad that it came quickly. And as it was personalized, I was thankful that it was made correctly.
They had what I wanted for a good price.

I ordered my christmas cards from Zazzle this year and they were delivered yesterday with such horrible print quality I can't even see my kids' faces as they are obscured in darkness and look like silhouettes. I had photo-edited extensively, it looked great on the computer screen and I even printed test copies at home before ordering. Absolutely unacceptable quality.
I have written customer service twice and not heard back despite being given a 'case number'. I have called zazzle 20+ times yesterday only getting a busy signal. Today I finally got through to a message saying their call volume is so high they can't answer the phone, and to please email them - which I have done but they have not solved my problem. The only way I will ever consider using zazzle again is if they fix this situation by reprinting my cards (with a new photo if necessary - I am concerned their software auto-rebalanced my photo or something, that or the matte finish is the reason?) with the cards delivered to my home with time for me mail them before Christmas. If they come through, I will happily amend this review.
I had great success with Zazzle last year at Christmas so was surprised and disappointed by the outcome this year. Needless to say I will not be trying them again unless they amend this situation.
Tip for consumers:
I would avoid using zazzle. Bad things can happen with any print project but with zero customer service to take care of problems it is NOT worth the risk.

Had my order arrived as expected, I'm certain that I'd be giving Zazzle a five-star review right now; however, that was not the case.
1. A custom mug was out of stock preventing one of five items from shipping. There was no notification sent regarding this issue. It was only discovered after following up on the order (which had been paid for in full). This was 10 days after the order was placed.
2. Options for how to proceed with the order were provided in an automated email support response; however, the instructions that explain how to modify an item so that an order can proceed turned out to not apply in case of the custom mug. This caused yet another delay in an already delayed order.
3. Even thought I had already been charged for the order with five items, revising the order online made it appear as if I was placing the order for the other four items for first time and the online cart was going to charge me as if the revised order was a second order.
Upside: I was able to cancel the order and receive a full refund (and about 30 days had passed).
Downside: I would have been perfectly happy with four of the five items that I had ordered.

I didn't quite understand why my Order was Delayed due to needing a Confirmation of Employment on "LETTERHEAD" with a statement of me acknowledging that "I am Authorized" to use my Company Credentials... A simple Disclaimer and Acknowledgment should have been sufficient, since I was using my Company Email which contains my Credentials... But whatever, I waited the extra (2) days to get the Order...

This is a US company, but has websites in other parts of the world - regardless where you order from however (I currently live in Austria and would order from Zazzle.at) the stuff comes from the US anyway. So you are stuck with high shipping costs and possibly customs charges. It is fine if you are in the US though, I assume.
The quality of the merchandise I bought was good, though a bit pricey, and adding to that the cost of shipping halfway around the world (for me).
As a creator on the site, having to fill out a US tax declaration is a pain if you want to get paid real money (I use PayPal). I get around that by just ordering stuff with my accumulated balance from the profits I made. Somehow, that keeps the taxman off my back.
But it has been a while since I "cashed in" - the photos are from the site of the stuff I had ordered then. One of them was a gift to my sister and it was what I expected. The quality was good. The other are business cards for myself and they too are good quality. I bought them just to use up my profit balance: if I would produce them locally, I could do so at 1/3 of the cost.
Fazit: good quality overall, but rather pricey. Shipping to the EU took quite some time, probably much faster within the US.
Tip for consumers:
Within the USA likely fine, outside it takes too long with shipping (and shipping costs), plus possibly customs.

Very good work on my design I actually drew this on a piece of paper on a Halloween night and I took a picture of it with my phone and I edited it on my phone it took me a very long time for me to make this look how I wanted it to look and I find it very interesting that from what I drew can also be printed the same exact way I drew it can be printed detail by detail as well I'm very happy and excited with my design thank you guys so much for letting me put my design that I have drew and spent my time adding very high quality details on your products really made me very excited to add my creations to 🙏🏼

Don't wast your time. They cannot ship to international P. O. Boxes. That is almost all my loyal clientele as a creator and my own address as a customer.

I average 10-to-15 online orders a week and never get the wrong merchandise, Placed an order with Zazzle and they got BOTH items WRONG, then REFUSED TO REFUND and instead have tried to FORCE a company credit instead.
As the order was around $130.00, I am forced to fight this through my bank. Am also considering placing complaint with the Better Business Bureau for refusal to refund when THEY sent the WRONG ITEMS.

You can tell a lot about a business by how they handle themselves when something goes wrong. I've ordered from Zazzle several times and been delighted with the product. So I didn't think twice about spending $300 on shirts for my birthday party. When I opened the box, the coloring of the text on the shirts was all wrong, and there was less than a week to do anything about it. I assumed I was SOL, and though I hate complaining, I did send the company an e-mail expressing my disappointment. I really didn't think there was anything that could be done at that point. Not only did they get back to me right away, they were bending over backward to make it right. They gave me several options including a rush job to redo the shirts.
As someone who hates complaining, I was pleasantly surprised with how smoothly their customer service handled the situation. As I said before, I've ordered from them several times and never had a problem until now, but its nice to know that if something does go wrong, they don't make you jump through hoops to get your money back. Will order from them again and again.

2) reported problem, but it still is not addressed
3) took 3 emails to even get a response from support
4) the order tracking number finally provided by the support turn out to be INVALID
I still don't know what happened to my order, and contacting support has not helped at all.
Didn't used have this kind of problem, but I am HIGHLY disappointed by Zazzle.
Won't recommend.
