A good online dating site should be easy to get registered on, and also easy to navigate people's profiles and choose who to make friends with. Before I got to know about zoosk, I had terrible experiences on many online dating sites! However, with Zoosk I am really having a great time meeting real and nice people online that have become really close friends. The zoosk support system are just simply amazing. I recommend them to you if you are like me who have little or no time to socialize physically. You will definitely love it
Zoosk advertises that it's free but you are not allowed to talk to any of your connections or matches. I tried to delete my account and the only thing available was to pause my account. I believe there's a lot of profiles on there that are inactive because people are unable to delete their profile.
After being a member for only 2 weeks or so, I did meet exactly one quality person whom I dated on and off casually and later that year as a steady for some time on Zoosk. We still see each other casually. They were from another country, well educated, and respectful of me, but had yet to get their green card through their sponsorship job although they expect to do so. However during the times I was open to meeting others when there was no commitment established between us I heard 90% of the time from people from other countries and ethnicities. I did not find this site helpful toward meeting someone who was an American citizen.
100% scam. Fake profiles, the lot. You contact people that have apparently viewed your profile on numerous occasions to find they have not, or they just do not respond. I was overcharged for my membership as well. Typical of how big business can scam workers and get away with it because litigation is not worth the time or effort
This site is amazing. Found my soulmate 6 1/2 years ago and we are still going strong. The only issue is that I wish for future users is that there becomes a way to earn more coins buy doing surveys, playing fun games so the they can read their messages not everyone can afford to pay the subscription fee on a what if. Just being able to chat or read a message can change someone's life. But charge if they want to send other things through Zoosk..
I cannot remove matches in "View" on Zoosk. I follow the directions, but they stay in my match lineup. Zoosk's site is always messed up. I tap a picture and get someone else's profile. It's very difficult to navigate. Watch out, because you could accidently someone you are actually connecting with.
First off it expensive constant spend to play their stupid game carousel even thou you pay top price to join half are not paid up members so cant reply anyway scammers galore if you report nothing is done so to protect their income monitored in all you write in your profile what a waste of time and space stay well clear and save your hard earned cash
I'm not really happy with the state of online dating sites these days. I had a successful relationship through one ten years ago. These days, they are too expensive, keep too many profiles of people no longer looking, have a higher rate of scams, and less tools for really meeting successfully.
That being said, Zoosk is one of the better sites today. I was still targeted by a scam, in which we held a normal conversation for about a week before they tried asking for money. So be aware, it happens everywhere. I did meet my current girlfriend on Zoosk, though only the initial hello. She did not buy a subscription because of the cost. There's a lot of room for improvement, but it's still one of the top 3 sites you can use today.
This is a scam site. You're charge an up front fee and then they want "coins" to email of contact other members, ethics is about $2.00 per connection. And they don't deliver emails unless you boost, which again is $2 per time. What a rip! I've written the Colorado AG Office and they tell me I'm not alone in my complaint. Stay away!
With so many professional people on facebook, it only makes sense to join a dating site associated with them. I have finally met the man of my dreams on zoosk and do not need to look any further... Thanks...
Worst dating site ever. Really horrible. No way to filter your results (e.g., location) and they don't tell you about the coins until after you've signed up. The quality of people there is really really poor. I tried to cancel and get some money back and they said no. Best I could do was to make sure my membership doesn't renew in 65 days. POF was better than this, and I was with POF YEARS ago. It's probably better now. These zoosk people should be shut down. I just saw a commercial for zoosk and NONE of it was true. STAY AWAY. I wish I had researched the reviews before joining.
I'm very guarded about this site, they don't allow texting or emailing other members, you have to stay boxed in, no independence, its a very closed network, if you try to contact someone else there is a myriad of extra charges, and penalties, they automatically renew the account. I had my bank issued a new debit card so that they cannot auto renew me.
I liked the fact that this site has "verify picture" option. It nicely filters scammers and fraud. So, first thing, please ask to verify pictures everyone you approach. Even though it's overwhelming to have hundreds of emails to go through, it's well worth it if you're focused on finding the one.
Tip for consumers:
You have to know what kind of relationship you're looking for: focusing on it helps to find exactly what you're looking for. It's OK to change your mind later and rewrite your profile if that setting didn't work for you. I did that three times until I realized that the only relationship worth of investing time, money, and life is the one where you're exclusive and heading toward growing old together.
As a skeptic of these sites i tried it out and as a middle age male that after fourteen years of marriage ended up having to restart his life with two children this was the perfect ice breaker to meet other singles in similar situations. It has lead to meeting a wonderful woman that an unwritten story can now be written. Thank you zoosk
I tried this site for about 2 months. After about 200 emails and many many chats, I finally connected with someone. She is about 90 minutes from me. So far things are looking pretty good. Unfortunately, this site doesn't give the man the tools to shut down all those damn heifers! It should be required that all body shots are required! And the descriptive terms used is BS! Curvy? Why not just use 1/4 ton and 1/2 ton? Then there is the distance with everyone I try to connect with, they were no less than 50 miles away. Even when I set my parameters! If you have time to waste, then this is the place to hang out!
I've tried other sites and met a lot of scammers. Zoosk makes online meeting safer by having many different forms of verification. I only spoke with members who verified at least one way. I've met more real men who want to meet in person on this site than any other. I have become serious about one man. Thanks.
Having tried one or two dating websites, some you pay for, some free, Zoosk is definitely the worst I have had the pleasure of paying a six month subscription for!
I get an email everyone time someone 'views my profile' and no doubt other poor souls get the same when I glance at theirs. Profile information is very scant, it does not seem to encourage people to actually make proper contact. When they match you on their carousel etc. they try to extract more money out of you to see the profile, despite the fact that you have already paid. It seems to be more like Tinder on steroids and most unlikely you will meet a committed partner.
This website is extremely complicated to use. If you find someone you're interested in, and hit a wrong button, they it's too difficult to locate that person again. And your filters absolutely SUCK! It never kept me in the mileage boundary. I hated it!
To all people who are considering subscribing: take the words from people who got conned...it's an absolute money sucking site which is only aimed at what it's been designed for!!!
Don't waste your time and hard earned money!!!
I was on Zoosk for 5 months and attempted to chat with over 400 women and only 1 ever responded. Now they won't let me change my profile to tell it how it is on there. I'm sure they have all the things wrong with this site covered under their Terms of Agreement. Don't join Zoosk! Total scam!
If you are crazy enough to pay for this site, let me advise you to try all others first! It's full if fake views and they use profiles of closed accounts. The site makes it appear most people are obsessively viewing your profile! Is false! I have had many men get upset or irritated that I won't message them or respond back to their messages indicating i have viewed them many many times! Completely false! I either never did or once accidentally... it's ridiculous and not kind to mess with people's emotions in this way without permission...
Terrible site. Most of the "people" that contact you are not even real. They are like bots that just send everyone messages. You can spot them easily because they use pictures of super models and no descriptions. Plus they start giving u their emails and phone numbers before you've even said hello to them. Who does that? So one moment you have a new "flirt" or new "chat request" and then you go login to check it out and they're not even there anymore. Literally, their profile and everything has vanished from zoosk. This dating site is a scam, no matter how unsatisfied u are, terms say no refunds. Dont waste your time or money.
After I paid, could not access their website. Tried to call, write, contact them any possible way to sort out the problem. NOTHING. Finally requested return through my credit card company. Zoosk replied that I must be in financial bound to ask for the fee back. How can a company be this nasty?
Found my guy in 2 weeks. Did not have much expectations when I started off at first. I was scared of meeting creeps and time wasters. Guess I had some good luck. Met my guy and clicked from the beginning. We have so much in common. Had a first and second date ( with company. Just as a safe guard). Now we are both enjoying getting to know each other better. All indications are there that we can have a lasting relationship and even if I am wrong it would still be worth it. I am giving it a great shot reciprocating what I am receiving from him. Zoosk worked for me!
THIS SITE IS HORRIBLE from many aspects. 1. Fake profiles. 2. Horrible Customer service. 3. Female members were not attractive to me at all. In my opinion they were desperate. 4. Bad quality all together. BE WARNED!
I've been on this site off and on for several months, have not joined. I agree with previous post, it's more like an arcade game than a dating site. You have to earn "coins" by looking at pictures on the carousel... and you must click YES or MAYBE to earn each one, a NO will not get you a coin. I'm not hung up on looks, but I would say only ONE out of 100 even appeal to me... the rest look like serial killers, and many of my "matches" live clear across the country. So glad I read all the reviews, I was about to sign up for one month... I will save my money and find something better. Thanks everyone, and best wishes to all!
Zoosk is just a complete joke. You have a better shot at finding romance on Google+ for crying out loud. As a guy, your profile very rarely receives any views which is because unless you're a paid member, you're basically sitting at the bottom of the totem pole. Even when your page does get viewed, it's usually fake spam bot profiles who are listed as "A Zoosk Member"... In my opinion, this site is, by a large margin, worse than Plenty of Fish. Being on Zoosk is equivalent to sitting in a rocking chair while staring at a brick wall. Bottom line, the site is absolute trash.
