I am a little surprised to see there are negative reviews as I have had no issues with ASOS. I have had quite a few orders in the last few months, taking advantage of their amazing sales. My packages arrive within two weeks, which is fine as i live in very remote part of Australia. The clothing quality is great and the sizing seems to be exact and since I am a plus size I find the range much better than I can buy in shops in this part of Australia. I recommend ASOS to all my friends and believe there is something for everyone, I even got my wedding dress from them.
Starting to totally dislike
Frankly, Asos was my favorite website to shop in, their selection, quality and delivery were on point, but now I am totally loosing my opinion. The deliveries are often late although I have premier delivery and also they are sending the wrong ordered items, I am totally upset I couldn't get my orders on the specified time for my birthday vacation. Biggest disappointment ever and also the customer help live chat are very rude and never give you a solution to the problem, instead they just hover around the question only. The 2 stars rating I am giving is just for my previous experience. Now, I am totally hating it. I used to recommend this website a lot, and now I totally regret it. The standards are going low.
I had to return a pair of sneakers that I'd purchased because they were the wrong size. First I had to pay for the return shipping, then I did not receive a confirmation email when the sneakers had arrived back at ASOS. I tried to contact them three times through their online chat to confirm the arrival of the shoes and my refund, but did not receive any help. After a month of trying to pin them down, I initiated a PayPal case against them. I finally got my refund, but only because PayPal intervened. I will not be ordering from them again.
My first 2 orders from ASOS were on point. However, my 3rd and 4th and 5th orders were $#*!! They looked like pieces of $#*! sewn together and thrown in a plastic bag. BUT! My last order 3 weeks ago was absolutely perfect. I just ordered another dress and hope and pray it's as beautiful as my last order or else I will never from ASOS again. It's miss and hit with ASOS, so be careful!
I bought this item for my boyfriend I know his size but this jeans didn't fit him at all. They were not true to size. I got them they were extremely tight in the crotch and butt to the point where he couldn't sit down. It isn't stretching, the pockets are under the butt. The material is another story. About delivery it supposed to come Apr. 23 it came Apr. 27. My friend ordered later than me and she got her stuff earlier and in the bad quality. For her items Canada Post asked her to pay $18 for delivery and that thing is she paid for delivery when she bought the stuff. For what? That she ordered to her address and she should go to Canada Post to pick it up. So they are delivering wherever they want to and not where we indicated because I got it to my house.
I decided to return my item. In normal internet shops, return are free. Here, not only thing didn't go in time but you also have to pay for the return.
Better safe your money for something else.
So disappointed!
They have a great selection of products and free shipping. However, be aware that if you return anything from your purchase and used a discount, they will adjust the refund amount based on the discount. In other words, make sure you want to keep the whole purchase because your discount isn't worth anything if you have to return an item.
Asos have a product called ASOS Premier which allows you to pay 11.95 per year for all your deliveries, but the catch is that then it autorenews and they don't let you cancel it except within a couple of weeks every year around the renewal date. They have gotten a couple of years of fees from me without me noticing, now that I want to cancel it, oh sorry, can't cancel until it is my renewal time - once per year. I explained I do NOT want a refund, just for it not to be renewed and me auto charged in May. The reply is there is nothing they can do, and when I am charged in May I should get back in touch. It's appalling.
@ASOS Do not use ASOS if your are in Canada. You will end up paying +50% of the bill in unexpected customs charges. Customer service even refused to apply a canadian customer discount retroactively (that discount will not cover even half of the custom charges.)
Ordered pants a week ago emailed them to see Where my item is go a response saying they well email in two days because they where contacting the carrier. Never got a email back emailed second time to fine put my pants are now sold out how so when I ordered them a week ago the had in stock... unbelievable
Asos becam a scam! The worst CRM ever.
They stole my money ($600+). They pretend to have sent the order but are unable to provide me with any proof. The order never arrived and in order not to have to reimburse me they just closed my account. They treat customers as stupid people. They are pure thieves do not order from ASOS anymore.
Answer: Hello Em, Yes it is true. The site has very poor delivery and customer service. I do not recommend it.
Answer: Doubt it, I don't think they sell any knock off's. Depending on the print you got, some of them don't have stripes. Hope that helps.
Answer: No. They will find 101 reasons to screw you out of your money
Answer: No. If anything it has gottten worse.
Answer: Look, as I wrote here I shopped with them many times and I was never disappointed. I don't know where you buy from, but I live in Italy and it doesn't take more than 4-5 working days for them to deliver the package. If you're concerned about the quality, well, it's not really top-notch, but considering the price it's really good (you can't expect Max Mara quality from a shirt you paid 20 euros). As for the fit be careful because those are UK sizes and they are definitely NOT vanity sizing! Meaning: when you read "model pictured wears UK 8" you may think "they're lying, she's clearly a 6" but they're actually not in most cases. I have a body similar to that of most of their models, I ordered size 6 twice and it was a tiny bit small. So size accordingly. All in all I trust them and I like their product. Perfect low-cost site to shop from online.
Answer: Complain about Asos through the Retail Ombudsman, if more people complain about companies like Asos they will have no choice but to improve their service to their customers.
Answer: Your only option with asos is live chat. I used it just now and also a few days ago and it worked just fine. They solved all my issues. Chat is the only way to contact.
Answer: You have to be a careful shopper. Check the fabric content! I just purchased Is 4 pairs of cargo pants. Same style, different colors. They are 100% cotton and excellent quality. I also purchased things by topshop and free people on this site. Asos has its own brand but sells others. Returns are effortless so I don't know why so many people are complaining. I have very high standards and they haven't let me down yet.
