I just had my first and Last shopping experience with ASOS! As the old saying goes if it's to good to be true it is the case! Deceptively untrue in my experience.
As they sell good brands I was called into thinking they may be another great online option like The Iconic or Surfstitch but NO way ASOS has proved absolutely terrible in more ways than one!
Start with the Customer Service- rate it at a 1 out of 10.
Email them and expect a generic response that does not provide an answer let alone a solution or even any individual review of your case.
Do expect a patronising ignorant reply. Eg click here and you will see a size chart! Oh really Sherloch you do not think I didn't look at size charts and reviews of show sizing before ordering 6 pairs of men's shoes?!
So as for the shoes. Yep 6 pairs of them ordered each pair as per each males usual size. Ensured I knew their European size and their UK & US size. Looked online at customer reviews which mentioned ASOS shoes were tts... We get the shoes and NOT one pair fit one person. Each and every pair are TOO small this shows consistency.
I write to ASOS and they suggest I look at size charts!
Disgusting and disgraceful response! What a joke. I shop online on a weekly basis and have only come across one or two as dreadful. Will not be back!
For no reason they just blocked my account and my card, trying to contact costumer support, they just blocked another several accounts of mine not letting me order items I wanted
I recently ordered two dresses from asos for my daughters communion they arrived didn't suit so I sent them back to the post office unfortunately I washed my clothes that night with my receipts from the post office in but did not think much of it as I sent other parcels back to river island and littlewoods the same time and recieved refunds a week later upon contacting asos to find out when I would be getting my refund the replied they hadn't received my items and basically im £90 down with emails saying nothing I can do about it unless I have the receipt joke of a company I will never shop with them again avoid if you don't want to waist your money
There is always something wrong with ASOS!
First time I ordered couple of items ( order n *******), they cancelled my order for no reason and I had to order it again. They take too long to pack and send, so never buy from them if you want your thing soon.
Second time I purchase many items worth hundreds of dollars 9 Orders n ******* & *******), then I got an email three days later that one of the item is not in stock anymore! How slack is that having items for sale when you don`t have the item physically in your inventory!
I took about a week before they update delivery status, meaning a week just to handle packing and postage, so Imagine how longer will take to receive your item.
When I contacted their support I was merely offered an apology, nothing to make up for their mix up. Did not offer a similar item for the same price nor a discount or credit code to use on their website. Poor system and poor rectification to a problem. Misleading people and adverting for items those are not in their inventory.
I will stop using this website for this reason, there more genuine and reliable website to buy item from with great deals, such us: Iconic/Farfech or even on Catch ect…
Shame on you ASOS!

This was the worst buying experience I have ever had! Even paying the premium delivery, ASOS failed to deliver my order on the indicated date. I said to them that if not received in 48h, I didn't want the order anymore and would like to cancel. This is when ASOS starts to make customer life hell. They make it impossible to cancel an order. This is some kind of harassment, because they want to oblige you to receive the order even though they failed systematically to deliver. The customer care is the worst I have ever seen. They keep no track of your issue, every time you need to explain everything again and no one is able to resolve nothing. It is a nightmare! Every time they ask for more 48h to investigate something that is not the customer problem. If they have any problem with their delivery service provider, they should resolve this. It is not a customer problem! I have never seen such terrible service in my life! It has been 7 days since I made the first complain and daily I am having endless discussions with them and I see no resolution.
I was hesitant after reading the reviews, but decided to see for myself. Placed my first order beginning of December, picked the $15 express shipping method, order arrived within 2.5 business days (with duties which was expected). I loved all 4 of the things I bought and got a good sense for what size I am in their clothes. I placed a second order before Christmas, received it again within 2-3 days (even with the holidays!), LOVED all the items in this order as well! So I placed another order on Tuesday this past week for 7 items, and they arrived yesterday (Thursday) mid afternoon.
If your going to order from these guys, always opt for the $15 express shipping (I'm in Canada), it comes in no time at all and you get DHL shipping notifications the whole time it's in transit. I've purchased 5 jumpsuits which fit so well, don't wrinkle (polyester blend), the look just like in the pictures, a couple dresses- one is an accidental maternity dress, I'm not pregnant but still wear it cause it's cute AF!, a pair of espradrilles which I wore on vacation in LA for a week and they were comfortable, looked good, held up (good quality). All in all, it's a good site to shop from. Definitely worth checking out!
NEVER buy Asos shoes besides the good reviews that you are seeing. I bought a pair of heeled "sock" boots and they are awful. I bought them a month ago. They are pretty and everything. I had to sell the first pair because the eu sizing doesn't match the uk one, but whatever, i bought them again one size up. So the first time i wore them, the heeltap blunted in a strange way, like it was almost falling. Second time i wore them, the heeltap realli fell this time. I went to a shoes-repairing guy and replaced my heels. But guess what, they fell AGAIN! So this time i went againg and he replaced the heel taps with something really good. The heel taps didn't blunt this time, but MY WHOLE HEEL BROKE FROM THE MIDDLE. The boots are gorgeous, but the quality... no thank you.
Completed order at asos canadian site and was charged custom cost with no notice. Contacted the company regarding this issues and ask where it was indicated during the ordering process. After 50 min, the only answer received was that they are not responsible of the custom cost. Did not answer my question and terminated the chat conversation. VERY DESAPOINTED AND WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN FROM THIS COMPANY
Lie #1: ASOS.com clearly states, "orders being shipped from the US to Canada that are under CAD $150 will no longer be subject to duties."
https://www.asos.com/us/customer-care/delivery/will-i-be-charged-customs-and-import-charges/
Lie #2: the online chat person tried to tell me it was Cdn federal tax fee. $47 on a $125 order?! (Fed tax in Canada is 5%.)
Lie #3: ASOS chat then tried to tell me "maybe" it was a carrier fee and to contact Canada Post, but on parcel pickup, Canada Poat said it wasn't their charge at all.
There is a hard to find discount code you can use (enter CA15), but IT WON'T COVER A FRACTION OF YOUR HIDDEN FEES.
If you came to ASOS for product selection, that's nice. But if you showed up here because of the deals and you're a bargain shopper like me, BEWARE. IN THE END, IT SAVES YOU NONE.
I'm stuck with the extra charge.
Terrible quality clothes with horrible sizing. I ordered two dresses. The material itself is very cheap feeling and the sizing is odd. The sleeves are tiny while other parts of the dress fit.
This is hands down the most frustrating experience that I have had dealing with a customer service team. I made an order using my personal Mastercard, which shortly after I closed and started using a different account joined with my husband. I contacted ASOS after making a return to let them know if the new card details. I had to jump through minor hoops like showing that the first account was actually closed, which was expected. We are now here over 1 month later and still no refund! There is no way to get anyone on the phone and everytime an email is answered it is by a different person who obviously has no clue was they are talking about. Someone claims to have called me but no missed call or voicemail - bit suspicious! They are fighting me tooth and nail, claiming that I have already received the refund and asking for more and more evidence when I have provided them copies of bank statements three times already.
Best part is they have even addressed me as an incorrect name in an email! They called me the name of one of their colleagues, twice... so the care factor is obviously minimal and they are holding my money hostage. Don't even both ordering from here because you always end up making a return due to poor quality and as I've learned you aren't very likely to get your actual money back!
My FedEx tracking number stopped tracking. FedEx says to call ASOS. Well good luck as they have no telephone number. And of course only a bot responds to my email complaint. Horrible company.
I would shop with ASOS all the time and the past experience has left a nasty impression. I made a large purchases with them and on of the items totalling $49 came and it was a completely different item so i returned it hoping to get the correct item in exchange and it went out of stock. After they told me they would refund the money after going back and forth with them and emailing different people on their staff having to explain the situation over and over agian, I was informed that im owed no refund because of the discount code i used required me to spend a certain limit. They gave me a discount code of %10 off my next order when I went to redeem it was expired. Now 2 months later im still trying to get th to see that i shop with them often and just want a discount or a credit of &50 to go toward my next purchase which will be about $200 anyway and is the same amount of the original order. It's frustrating not being able to speak with someone on the phone and get this resolved in the matter of minutes.
I was charged 117 CAD on a 357 CAD order for three pairs of shoes shipping from the U.S. this is 33% of the value!
These charges are not warned about during the shopping process, in order to find out about them on ASOS, you have to search through the FAQ's however, they should be mentioned from the checkout section so people are aware before purchasing.
And no, it is not because they only apply to certain references. Costumer service told me that all of the shoes bought in Canada are shipped from the US warehouse, which means, ALL their products are subject to this "fee"
They also have a 15 percent discount for Canadian shoppers, precisely because of these outrageous charges, that is not advertised anywhere unless you spend time surfing through the FAQ's. Why?! Why don't they advertise it?
Perhaps they don't want people to find out about the charges before purchasing? (Sounds like they're scamming people to me).
There are much better Canadian websites that can be shopped from where you don't have to deal with all of this.

I would never order from this site again. I never received my items. When I contacted them I got the run around. One of the reps Devon even said I sound dumb. Worse customer service ever.
As an avid online shopper with years of experience and a shopping addiction, I can confidently say asos is the absolute worst store you could ever order from. I purchased a pair of pants to complete an outfit I needed before going back to college and even paid for express shipping so it would arrive before I left. Not only did the package arrive a day late, but it was the completely wrong item. They sent me the ugliest pair of pants I have ever laid my eyes on. How do you even switch that up so horrendously?!? They weren't even close to the same color and 5 times the size I wear! I would like to think that as a very popular and widely known store they would be better. But they aren't. They won't even send me a new pair I have to go and reorder them and guess what… they're all sold out! They won't even let me sign up for notifications so I know when it's back in stock! So not only did I waste my time and money shopping at this store, I lost my dignity. I will NEVER be ordering from this appalling store again. Princess polly would never!
Asos clothes are so cute, but their customer service is awful- no phone number provided for customer service so you could actually talk with a real person- just online chat. I paid additional fees for two day delivery. I was given confirmation in writing when they were to arrive. Instead, they were delivered 3 days after the promised date. When I expressed my confusion as to why the items were not arriving in two days since the service being used was fed ex, ASos said it was ouf of their control and to call fed ex. Fed ex told me that Asos has a deal with them where they use a combination of the US Postal Service and fed ex and that's why the items are not delivered in two days Asos is the one who is at fault here They promise their customers 2 day delivery ( and charge extra) when in fact that does not happen. Bottom line it's deceitful and false advertising. Feel free to order from them, but don't pay for expedited delivery. Not worth it! If you don't need the clothes asap it shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise, if you need something asap, DO NOT order from Asos.
Order was placed on Saurday 27th july for a dress to be delivered amongst a few other items in light of a party tomorrow (wednesday). I selected next day delivery. It was out for delivery sunday at 10am. At 7pm an update from Hermes saying there has been a delay. Yesterday an update saying has been returned to sender. WTF! Where is my parcel? I ordered with plenty of time for my party and all customer service said is when we recieve the item back from hermes its 10 days for a refund in the meantime feel free to order again and when I mentioned I didn't have the funds. They told me to use Klarna and pay Klarna when I am issued the refund. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that everyone at ASOS customer care has same level of training so could not pass me onto a manager.
I have ordered form ASOS too many times and never disappointed. Good quality, good prices, superb customer support. I am a life time customer of asos. Recommended
ASOS has unadvertised customs fees on top of your shipping fee! If you are ordering from Canada, you will have to pay on top of the ASOS's shipping fee a 26% fee of your order when it is delivered. When I placed my order, ASOS doesn't have any message to inform you about these fees and just charges you a free shipping or a paid shipping. When it came to my door, I was told I had to pay an extra 21.15$ for my 80$ order. I also tried to get a refund for this unexpected fee due to the fact that it is not at all advertised or disclosed when you are making your order, but they just said that they have no control of custom policies. ASOS may seem like it has good deals, but when it comes to their shipping, its awful. Tack on an extra 26% when you are making your order to know the true cost of your package.
I would also say ASOS has one of the worst customer services. They were not able to resolve my complaint and did not try and understand how they were falsely advertising. All they can do is apologize and say that they can't do anything about it. They need to fix their website because at this point they are unfair to their customers.
Answer: Hello Em, Yes it is true. The site has very poor delivery and customer service. I do not recommend it.
Answer: Doubt it, I don't think they sell any knock off's. Depending on the print you got, some of them don't have stripes. Hope that helps.
Answer: No. They will find 101 reasons to screw you out of your money
Answer: No. If anything it has gottten worse.
Answer: Look, as I wrote here I shopped with them many times and I was never disappointed. I don't know where you buy from, but I live in Italy and it doesn't take more than 4-5 working days for them to deliver the package. If you're concerned about the quality, well, it's not really top-notch, but considering the price it's really good (you can't expect Max Mara quality from a shirt you paid 20 euros). As for the fit be careful because those are UK sizes and they are definitely NOT vanity sizing! Meaning: when you read "model pictured wears UK 8" you may think "they're lying, she's clearly a 6" but they're actually not in most cases. I have a body similar to that of most of their models, I ordered size 6 twice and it was a tiny bit small. So size accordingly. All in all I trust them and I like their product. Perfect low-cost site to shop from online.
Answer: Complain about Asos through the Retail Ombudsman, if more people complain about companies like Asos they will have no choice but to improve their service to their customers.
Answer: Your only option with asos is live chat. I used it just now and also a few days ago and it worked just fine. They solved all my issues. Chat is the only way to contact.
Answer: You have to be a careful shopper. Check the fabric content! I just purchased Is 4 pairs of cargo pants. Same style, different colors. They are 100% cotton and excellent quality. I also purchased things by topshop and free people on this site. Asos has its own brand but sells others. Returns are effortless so I don't know why so many people are complaining. I have very high standards and they haven't let me down yet.
