I spent $500 on ASOS
August 22, 2019

I won $1000 from a giveaway ASOS had a year ago. Recently I decided to use the vouchers. To see what I got and the full review, watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKG-dJloMLc&t=1s! Thank you :)

I wish I could give zero stars due to poor quality, lack of communication, horrendous customer service, late delivery and ultimately the company sending an EMPTY BOX (which they claimed "got lost"). I'd also like to add for reference that I have NEVER written a bad review on any company in my life.

I ordered a few items for the first time from ASOS. One of the items I had to return because the material was like tissue paper, the other (a dress I ordered for a wedding) had a broken zipper. I had to return the dress and repurchase a new one rather than having a replacement sent out for me. I ordered the second dress at the end of July and was told that I'd be receiving the dress Aug 2nd.

I came home from a trip August 11th and the package had not arrived. I then had to contact the company 3 times to get a straight answer on why my package had not arrived. I was assured by the first two that I would get an answer "in 24 hrs" (this is days before the wedding).

Finally I was told by someone on my third attempt that the dress was lost, that they were out of stock and that I would just get a refund. I called FedEx to follow up and FedEx reported that the box ASOS sent out was actually empty, hence why they never delivered it. ASOS denies this, told me they would only give me a refund. No extra incentive to make up for the inconvenience.
So I now have no dress for a wedding that is in two days and spent about 45mins of my own time attempting to just get an answer.

Needless to say I would rather go to Nordstrom on Black Friday than ever order from this company again.

Once again I have tried contacting ASOS as they haven't delivered my parcel which I paid for next day delivery on, only to be told that they can contact Hermes and it's for me to deal with, there's nothing they can do for 4 business days, the items are for a funeral on Wednesday so this doesn't help me. Hermes have said they attempted to deliver my parcel yesterday which is a lie as there were 4 people home and no attempt made which is reflected on our CCTV. This isn't the first time they have lied, they have even taken photos as "proof" of attempted delivery which were of a zoomed in piece of wood, not even matching any colour on the property. ASOS have told me that it's in their contract not to contact Hermes so they are not allowed to do so other than by email, absolutely ridiculous that a company can't contact the delivery service that they're paying! And I have to contact them myself even though I dealt with ASOS and not Hermes, also neither ASOS or Hermes have a contact number advertised so it makes it incredibly difficult to contact them other than live chat which they have disconnected in the past when they couldn't help me with my issue. I have had numerous bad experiences with ASOS, from parcels being left on my doorstep and stolen to sending different items to those I ordered because they ran out of stock after my order has been placed. 0/10 DO NOT USE ASOS!

Buyer beware
July 26, 2021

This is such a fraudulent company. BUYER BEWARE. They are saying item is delivered with no proof of delivery. I have waited in all day for this delivery and also paid for it to be delivered this day as it is for an event. They have said theyre raised a query meanwhile I'm out of pocket with no item and now have to go to the shops and find an alternative replaceement whikst they hold my money for non delivery. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMOANY AGAIN EVER! I have luckily paid through paypal and have escalated a claim through them something which by the way Asos I shouldn't have to do after a 30 minute online chat resulting in absolutely nothing. Seriously never dealt with such a bad clothing company.

I love ASOS's clothes, but their customer service is ABYSMAL. I was on two online chats with two different representatives for an HOUR, an got absolutely nowhere. I had purchased one-year Premier Shipping for $15, and when I purchased my clothing order, it said "Premier Shipping Active" in the checkout. When I received any order confirmation however, the delivery date was with standard delivery. I reached out to ASOS through chat (because, annoyingly, they do not have a phone number) and received absolutely no help at all. I waited up to TWENTY MINUTES for a response at times, and at other times the customer service agent literally answered a question of mine by copying and pasting a line from the ASOS website. The rep said that he was "transferring my query to a team of specialists"---aka passing the baton and trying to get rid of me--and could not give me any timeframe as to when they would contact me. When I became frustrated, the customer service rep ENDED THE CHAT. Completely unacceptable customer service. I spend a lot of money on their website, and I expected better than this; they treated me like an annoyance, and didn't help solve my problem due to their horrible customer service.

Delivery
March 4, 2021

I bought all sorts of items and qualified for next-day delivery. I waited for it the following day and never received it. Checked my email and never received a tracking number for it either. Spoke to a customer service representative and did as best they could to help me with the problem on their end. Here I am three days later barely got a tracking number. Apparently won't be receiving my package til the ninth which will be a week later. I guess next-day air means week later delivery go figure ‍.

I ordered a bridesmaid dress about 2-3 weeks ago. Finally received the package and was shocked to find a PINK dress when I ordered NUDE, I thought it was just because the colors online look different from the real thing, but when I opened the packaging, I realized that ASOS sent me the WRONG dress. I tried to get in touch with customer service but they were not in a hurry to help me with a replacement - I asked for express shipping for the replacement, but got turned down saying that may be taxed (charged extra). Now I'm in a time crunch and I just want some information about a refund, but I contacted customers service twice and it's been a day or two and i haven't resolved my problem. If they sent me the wrong item, I do not expect to pay for shipping to return a wrong item, is that too much to ask?! How is it my fault that ASOS sent me the wrong item? My friends have told me good things about ASOS but I'm just saying, my first time experience so far has been terrible. I don't think I will be ordering from them again and if my friends ask, I will definitely warn them about bad service.

I placed an order last evening successfully but 1 hour later, to my surprise, Asos email me stated that they unable to process my order and my order has been cancelled and to complete my future orders. I'll need to send them the following:

-A copy of your passport, ID card or driving licence.
-A copy of your payment card statement dated within the last three months, clearly showing your name and billing address. Please blank out your card number, but leave the last four digits visible.
-The delivery address and the name of the person who will sign for future orders. If this is a work address, please provide the company name.

I never meet such experience like this in other online shops before. It is really ridiculous.

I try to purchase once more last night and the status of my order until this morning is only "Received", not "Order Processing". I try to ask Asos care so many times with no obvious answer. Finally, I cancel it and reorder the item for the third time!
Guess what? This time the status of my order still the same, only "Received" and after 3 hours, I got the same email from Asos stated that they unable to process my order and my order has been cancelled and to complete my future orders.

This will be the last time I shop with Asos.
Never ever again I want to deal with such annoying online shop that cause nothing but inconvenience to its buyer.

Transcript number: ASOS: *******
Have ordered regularly from ASOS. This time it was a very important order because it was for dresses for my daughter's graduation. ASOS use the courier company Yodel to deliver in the UK. After 4 days I checked on my order to discover that it had not only not been delivered, but Yodel returned it to ASOS. No call on the mobile number I provided, no card left, and no attempt to redeliver. They just sent it back. When I contacted ASOS, I was told that they do not resend parcels and that I would receive a refund. That is not a solution but a total cop-out by ASOS. SOme of those dresses in the GBP240 order were last items of that size which means that I will not be able to reorder these items. My daughter is devastated. ASOS needs to be able to address issues like this and not have a blanket "I don't care about customers, I'll just refund the money because someone else will order the items immediately". That's just exceedingly poor customer service. Will I order from ASOS again? Never... and I would advise others to think carefully about ordering from a company that does not value their customers and does not care about their customers. Furthermore, aSOS should stop using a cowboy outfit like Yodel who are not couriers but a mickey-mouse company that is derelict in their duty to adequately deliver parcels to their addressees.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, SCAMMERS!

I recently purchased a few items from ASOS totalling over £125 and applied a 'discount code' that allowed £25 reduction on my order.

Upon receipt of the items i realised that one that they had sent to me was completely the wrong thing and was worth a lot less than what i ordered,

I spoke with their office and asked them to re-send the right thing, they said i would need to return what i had (going out of my way to return somethign that was worthless - £1.50 to be precise) i wasnt very happy to do so as im also heavily pregnant and rather unwell (hence the online deliveries of clothing)- not that that bothered them.
I reluctantly took the item back to a collect plus point to return it, once i had returned it they said that because my original item (that they were meant to deliver) was worth less than the £25 discount applied, and they no longer had stock of that item, that i was due NOTHING BACK.

So not only do i not have the crap £1.50 item, i am also out of pocket for returning that item and no better off.

I am so disappointed with how they have handled my query and they have done nothing to help me or assist in this situation, i was hung up on at one time, and also i was told (after multiple phone conversations) that they dont even have a call centre... which they do!

Absoulte shambles and i would avoid like the plague, i used to buy everything from them and spend quite a significant amoutn of money every year with asos. Not anymore!

I have ordered from here for years without issue. They forgot TWO items from my most recent order. I had a promo code they offered at the time of order so I purchased these with a discount. Upon receiving my package without two of the items (one of them being the most expensive thing) I was told that they would be replaced. The next day I received an email saying my refund was on the way due to items being out of stock. I got on their website and this was NOT THE CASE. BOTH items were in stock and available. Received little to no help from customer care that just kept saying your refund is on the way which is NOT what I wanted. Was told that if I repurchased I may receive the difference but was given NO solid platform for this and based on my experience would rather not even bother repurchasing and dealing with that. Both items were brand name not ASOS and at this point I would rather pay more to buy direct or at least from some other party and not deal with the ineptness that is ASOS. You have lost a loyal customer.
