This company is scamming you. I returned a skirt in June 2023, and I still haven't gotten my refund and it is now mid December 2023. I've been in contact with customer service THREE times, being promised that a refund is on its way. I haven't received a single penny. I talked with customer service a FOURTH time, and was sent something that was supposed to be an explanation to why I had not received my money and why I now no longer was getting the refund, which I had been promised three times before. After reading through the message, not understanding the reasoning, they just ended the chat, leaving me with more questions. They didn't even give me a chance to answer and ask questions to why my refund now got changed. They sent me the message an instantly ended the chat. I don't know what to do but I'm so frustrated and angry. They don't seem to care, and I don't have any trust for this company anymore. I've been a customer for years, and now I will never buy a single thing from them ever again. This company needs to check their refund systems and get better people to work in customer service. I'm not the only one getting scammed. I've found A LOT of stories from people getting into the same situation as me, getting ignored and not getting the help they need.
This is a horrible company that scams people out of their refunds. There is no trust and I hope the go bankrupt. And to the people I talked to last, Yash and the supposedly floor manager Sauvik, I hope you get fired.
A month ago I placed an order for a few black summer dresses and paid for express shipping because I needed black clothes urgent. I have just lost a loved one, and where I come from we wear all black for at least a couple of months - I am not a very big fan of all black so I really needed some new clothes to get me by these couple of months. Unfortunately, four weeks on, my order never arrived despite my efforts to raise a flag almost as soon as I placed the order, as I knew that not receiving a tracking link within a few hours was bad news. Anyhow, customer care has apologized and advised me to place a replacement order, which I did. A week later I still haven't received a tracking link or my order. I have tried email but no one is replying. I have tried explaining that I really need black outfits and since apparently they cannot do the simple task of shipping an order, then they should at least give me back my money without further delay so I can go shop for black clothes. Nothing. They don't even care. It has now been a month and they still have my money (more than 200 pounds) and I still don't have any black clothes or money to go shop for some. I have tried being polite, even apologized after writing an angry email. I have tried reasoning with them. I have tried making them understand my situation hoping that they will be more sensitive. Nothing. Still no replies. Still no clothes. Still no refund.
Asos online shop is incapable of letting people shop online. It's Russian roulette whether your order will be dispatched and it's a nightmare to get your hard earned money back. I have relied on them and they have let me down twice with no intention of fixing their mistake. Please avoid them. Do not make the same mistake as I did trusting them twice.
Highly recommend ordering elsewhere if you are ordering from Canada. Not only did I have to pay $100 in customs, but the sizing of the items that I ordered (all in the same size) were all grossly different. I had to send back the majority of the clothes for being too large or too small. I also did not receive part of my order, but received random items instead. Not only do I have to send back majority of my order, but I have to pay shipping, which they kindly reimburse, however I am still out $100 in customs that I will not get back. Customer service refuses to do anything for me. I made the purchases hoping I would get them in time for my trip to Mexico coming up next week, but after waiting 3 weeks for my items to arrive, the sizes are erratic and I have not received the items ordered. Absolutely ridiculous and I will never order from this company again. I order clothing online all the time, and I also order purses, make-up, shoes, and much more from other sites. I have never dealt with such awful customer service. IF YOUR SENDING ITEMS THAT ARE GOING TO TAKE A MONTH TO ARRIVE OVERSEAS, LETS TRY AND GET THEM RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!
I'd like to mention as well, one of the items I did not order, I actually really liked. And I sent and email explaining my situation (how I wanted the items for my trip). I asked if they could simply charge me for the skirt they had accidentally sent me so that I could keep it. They refused, with absolutely no apology or other possible courses of action.
Very displeased customer.
WORST COMPANY and WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
This is my first time writing a review - experience was so bad that I had to write one.
I will just say that I have experienced better service on ebay and that's saying something.
NEVER AGAIN! KEEP AWAY!
I ordered a 5 pack of an item, they sent me a 3 pack. I requested they send me another two as they set me only 3 and I ordered 5. I provided images not only of the three items but of the packaging including the tracking number and barcodes on the shipping label and it clearly says "3 pack" on it.
They refused, they said first I need to send the first three back so they can 'verify' it which will take 7 business days and then perhaps give me a refund, and perhaps not. I don't have time for this nonsense, I work all day every day and need to hold my job.
They had all the details and photos and they could easily check all the details, check the barcodes, check their warehousing and inventory management systems and check what they sent me, but they refused to and instead sent me a bunch of hoops to cross through, in the hope that it would be too much and I would just forget about it.
Well I havent and I will never shop with them again! Even eBay once you send photos, they check what they have sent you and if you are correct they will send you the missing pieces without hesitation - I know because it just happened to me on ebay.
I came home last evening to an empty package on my porch. I have never made a claim like this and have shopped with them for over two years! Below is the email that I received this morning:
"Hello,
After an assessment of your account, we've made the decision to not issue a refund for your items.
It's very rare for items to go missing and ASOS have therefore made the decision to not accept any further orders from you.
In order to take this further, we recommend contacting your payment provider to dispute any lost funds. Your payment provider may be in touch with ASOS and we'll be able to provide information regarding your account to support their investigations. Once they're happy this is a genuine claim, they may refund your account.
In the event further orders are placed, they'll be cancelled.
As we're unable to help you further with this, any emails received about this matter will be automatically closed down with no response."
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND THE LEADERSHIP TEAM SHOULD BE CONCERNED. I have never made a public complaint against an organization but this one deserves public awareness as they have my $218 and I have no products and they are no longer willing to address. Is this even possible? Very disappointed to say the least
Literally clicked on 10 different items that said they were in stock to find out they were not. Finally gave up and stopped shopping.
Terrible experience, I ordered a dress not only did it not arrive and they have yet to refunded me for the money I spent.
The delivery is long, product are very cheap and different from pictures and there is extra fees to pay at destination. I don't recommend.
Purchased vouchers as gifts and had far too much hassle to get it sorted only to be told they deactivate vouchers during sales. Useless
I tried ASOS because I loved a lot of their clothing styles and the price seemed relatively cheap but not so cheap that it was concerning. However, I was very disappointed with the clothing I ordered. I have pretty typical measurements, size US 8-10 or medium/large in most clothes, bra size 34C. I am also 5'11 so I shop in the tall fit section of ASOS. I ordered three tall dresses and NONE of them fit properly. All of them had bizarre bust fit. I have realllly average boobs and have never had a problem with this before, but the dresses were the some of the most unflattering I've ever tried. Furthermore, the fit besides the bust didn't sit right either. Was very unflattering. Additionally, one of the dresses was horribly wrinkled and see-through. The designs were cute, but clearly not well-enough designed to actually fit a lot of people. I would understand more if I had more extreme measurements, but I have pretty middle-of-the-road sizing. I bought a cute pair of PJs that I was happy with, but all of the real clothes I ordered were a bust. Not super cheap, either! They were enough money that I'd expect better fitsI bought a dress from Target in a similar style to one ordered from ASOS for cheaper and it fit much better. Would not recommend ASOS.
I had a suit ordered from this company the jacket came in the wrong size as per what was ordered so I immediately contacted ASOS through their chat which takes much longer than it should to get a hold of a real person from the robot prompts.
I spoke to multiple agents about sending back the suit to have it exchanged for the correct size, all while I needed it for an event which had passed. I had to pay a duties/customs fee to receive the original order and had to take the time out of my day to organize this when it was the companies fault originally so I requested some compensation to be able to cover the second wave of duty/customs fees impending when I make the second order.
They don't exchange the items you need to file a return and order the items again. The agents told me that they had no discount code to provide or any sort of compensation for the incorrect items as I know had to incur a second duty/custom fee plus I had to go and package the incorrect original order and deliver it to the shipping facility to which they covered the shipment back.
I also asked to speak to a manager, which I was patiently waiting on the chat to speak with after requesting from an agent, the chat ended abruptly after waiting significant time, I went on a day later requesting to speak to the manager and I was waiting for over an hour to connect with one to which I just ordered the other correct size and I was met with a double duty fee to the original and the company still hasn't reached out to provide some sort of mediation.
The company has discount codes galore but is unwilling to resolve any mishaps on their end. Poor customer service.
Asos won't replace my trainers saying they have been used.
I had a blowout walking.
Glad I wasn't on the motorway.
No money back for faulty goods?
IF I COULD GIVE ASOS ZERO STARS I would. If you are ordering from asos, forget about customer service. I've been ordering from them for years now and they could simply careless about their customers. I've had two incidents with ASOS. The first time I thought was just bad luck but after this time, I will never shop on ASOS again or recommend it to anyone. First experience involved me sending it to another address that was not convenient to me, I notified ASOS and they said it was too late so I go and pick it up from the address and low and behold IT WAS NOT THERE. I told ASOS someone took my package, but instead of offering me a replacement package, they told me I need to notify the police. And what about the money I spent ASOS? Nope they don't care. Second incident is that they send me an item that's faulty and they sent the wrong size. When I asked them for some sort of compensation, Tara kept insisting that I return the package. The item is out of stock so returning the package means I would lose the item. I liked the shoes and would have been okay keeping them if I wasn't paying full price for them. I tried to explain that to her and she stated the only way I could get my money back is by returning the item. I then asked to speak to a manager to which she stated she "couldn't do" because they have protocols they need to handle and then rudely ended the chat on me. Even shein refunded me when their item was faulty. Waste of money. I rather just buy the items from the companies themselves than support an industry with no customer service.
Seriously garbage. The customer service reps have absolutely no clue what's going on, or they do know what's going on but won't admit to it. During certain promos, they'll claim *everything* is a certain % off, but when the coupon code doesn't work, AND the item is NOT part of the exclusions for the promo, they'll bs some sort of excuse.
One time they ran a student promo that gave 25% off through UNiDAYS, and advertised it on the banner on their website, but UNiDAYS had not yet uploaded the 25% off coupon (I thought that the normal UNiDAYS coupon would just take off 25%). I can't even remember what the customer service rep said (along the lines of rotten bs), but basically said that I am not eligible for the 25% off coupon. Couple hours later, UNiDAYS uploads the 25% off coupon and everything the rep said was a lie. Not even the slightest bit surprised.
Icing on the cake was today, when I received my package too late, even though I paid for expedited shipping. I bought a hot air brush that my mom really wanted for Mother's Day. Open the package, item's box is visibly used, andddddd *drum roll pls*
There's a big wad of hair on the hair brush bristles! :D
If garbage came in online shopping form, it would be asos.
I ordered a pair of pants and paid for express delivery first week of March. Fedex and myself tried to contact them for weeks with no reply... they lost the package and it never left England. At this point COVID had hit and I was being generous with communication or lack there of. By February I finally spoke with a real person who offered to send me a replacement pair. I waited and waited for a tracking number to which I was told repeatedly "coming soon!". By early May I learned they sent the package without tracking (even tho I paid for express FEDEX) and was to arrive by the 21st. SHOCKER it never arrived! So I emailed AGAIN, same story, bounced from person to person with no answer until I was told to wait till the 12th of JUNE. Which I did. And guess what its now the 19th of June. No Package. Nothing but automated responses. Ive asked for my money back, repeatedly. NOTHING. NADDA. $#*! THIS COMPANY! I have NEVER experienced anything like this. Just to reiterate, I bought a pair of pants on March 1st due to arrive March 4th... and here we are. Avoid this company like the plague.
I have been trying to return a dress I ordered for a while now and problems keep occurring! Firstly, a label that I can put on the package to return it is not available, which makes the whole process take a lot longer. I should also mention that I could not locate my package and when I repeatedly asked for help I received none! It is a miracle that the package was later dropped off and I received what I had ordered. The customer service of Asos is really not the best. Bear in mind, this is probably the tenth email I have sent to Asos about this dress, and my patience is wearing thin! It seems as though I have been part of an elaborate scam, and all I want is my £25 pounds in return money.
When I tried to go through the return process, Switzerland was not an option as a country even though I ordered the dress to Switzerland! I also signed up for the one where the post-service collects it from your home, but when I tried to enter the address, only drop-off points were suggested! Yet another lie. Even when I selected a drop-off point close to my home, the website kept sending me back to the address section, even though I had selected a drop off point and it looked as though address details were not necessary anyway. I am so tired of trying to send the dress back but will keep trying as if I give up, only Asos will profit from being so difficult. I have sent many polite emails about this particular dress but my patience is wearing thin and I am receiving NO HELP. The reasons for the return are that the dress arrived too late for the event, and when it arrived the quality of the material was dreadful and the shape ghastly.
I really hope that some kind of help will be offered, as if I cannot return this dress, I will never order from Asos again. They have a total lack of respect for their paying customers, and I have neither the time nor money to be constantly dealing with this issue.
I can't believe how fast they deliver. Next day most orders. And it's cheap. I like the sales a lot too. Seems like a great company to work with
I placed an order the 9th of December. I live in Canada, and
Even though the site acknowledges the fact that I live in
Canada, at no point during checkout was it pointed out that I
Will have to pay extra charges. I have to go into the sites FAQs
To find out that information. I think that ASOS are being
Underhanded in keeping that quiet. They should inform
International buyers that there may be extra charges. Also after
Receiving and paying the extra charges, i found out that I was
Entitled to a discount for being a Canadian customer. Once
Again they should, knowing full well I am a Canadian
Customer, apply that. In short I think ASOS are being devious
By hiding all this stuff in FAQs. As a majority of shoppers, we
Go to a site, see a product and buy it. No one wants a nasty
Surprise, and ASOS knowing full well that I will be paying an
Extra charge, are keeping quiet. Also They don't have a direct
Place to complain. You can only complain to online chat and
They say they have no way to escalate a complaint, and just fob
You off by saying they have no option.
Answer: Hello Em, Yes it is true. The site has very poor delivery and customer service. I do not recommend it.
Answer: Doubt it, I don't think they sell any knock off's. Depending on the print you got, some of them don't have stripes. Hope that helps.
Answer: No. They will find 101 reasons to screw you out of your money
Answer: No. If anything it has gottten worse.
Answer: Look, as I wrote here I shopped with them many times and I was never disappointed. I don't know where you buy from, but I live in Italy and it doesn't take more than 4-5 working days for them to deliver the package. If you're concerned about the quality, well, it's not really top-notch, but considering the price it's really good (you can't expect Max Mara quality from a shirt you paid 20 euros). As for the fit be careful because those are UK sizes and they are definitely NOT vanity sizing! Meaning: when you read "model pictured wears UK 8" you may think "they're lying, she's clearly a 6" but they're actually not in most cases. I have a body similar to that of most of their models, I ordered size 6 twice and it was a tiny bit small. So size accordingly. All in all I trust them and I like their product. Perfect low-cost site to shop from online.
Answer: Complain about Asos through the Retail Ombudsman, if more people complain about companies like Asos they will have no choice but to improve their service to their customers.
Answer: Your only option with asos is live chat. I used it just now and also a few days ago and it worked just fine. They solved all my issues. Chat is the only way to contact.
Answer: You have to be a careful shopper. Check the fabric content! I just purchased Is 4 pairs of cargo pants. Same style, different colors. They are 100% cotton and excellent quality. I also purchased things by topshop and free people on this site. Asos has its own brand but sells others. Returns are effortless so I don't know why so many people are complaining. I have very high standards and they haven't let me down yet.
