Just terrible, I had ordered Frigidaire hood, through them. The vendor is Electrolux. The bulb was missing, extra filter missing, which is part of the order. When finally they called the vender, got the switch instead of the bulb. Had to go through several people to know what happened with my filter, came to find out the vendor didn't have it at the moment. I was suppose to get it by now but nothing. I wrote back to build.com to same people who sent me emails, but no response, even called them on their extensions still nothing. They're very unprofessional and irresponsible. They do t deserve any star.

Bought several Grohe faucets. Prices were excellent and delivery was prompt. One faucet had a defect with the spout. Build worked directly with the company and had a new replacement shipped. Excellent service and support. Will definitely continue to buy from BUILD and highly recommend others to do so as well

Ordered appliances... 5 weeks later when delivery was occuring I get a call that 3 out of the 4 appliances are no longer available, and that I would need to choose something else. I rejected the one appliance, and ordered 4 other (different finish). Had the contact double check that everything was in stock (this is how I made my selection), and 4 weeks later THE SAME THING HAPPENED... 3 out of the 4 are discontinued (no longer available). This is where the nightmare BEGINS. I was charged for ALL of the appliances, and only after numerous phone calls, and certified letters was I able to get credit for the charges. Still working with my credit card company to resolve the interest charges as Build.com continually told me, upon me threatening to challenge the charges with my credit card company, the credit has been completed... and it was not. Three times I was told this and it was not so. I will never deal with Build.com again.

Master Bath Remodel

My contractor suggested this site for ordering parts for shower. Ordered vanity lights, medicine chests & ALL shower parts. Pleased with the website, ease of ordering, quick delivery. Will be using this site for all other home remodeling jobs.

False advertising

Be aware that if you buy something from them, they change the delivery date after the order is completed. Then they play the warehouse has to cancel the order if you don't agree with the new delivery date! After 20 emails and frustration, Amazon stepped in and told them how to cancel the order. They would not have if not for that. I wouldn't buy a roll of toilet paper from them.

Home Improvement is a contradiction in terms... this outfit needs to be shut down!

We ordered a microwave oven. We watched the tracking info each day only to find no activity. We called several times and were finally told... it must have gotten lost. They placed an immediate reorder for us and we were told the unit was to be sent from their wharehouse with the fastest response time. Again we waited and watched. We finally called and asked about expedited shipping and were told they didnt do that. The tracking shows that the unit has been loaded for delivery this morning. If we actually receive it today it will have sat in warehouses for four days in its 670 mile trip from Indiana to Georgia. Were glad it was sent through the fastest warehouse.

I purchased from a lighting fixture company directly - or so I thought. And all of a sudden I started getting emails from build. Com welcoming me into their... whatever(?)
I don't know who or what they are and I don't want to- and I don't care. It seems they are just another layer in the way of what I am trying to accomplish.

Lied throughout

Lied to me about availability. Said it would ship in 4-5 days.
Lied about delivery time. Took almost three months.
Lied about communication. Said they contacted me. Did not!
Final blow. Would not take it into the house once delivered.
DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS.

Ordered a light fixture from here. Fixture came in and it was extremely poor quality. I couldn't hang it due to safety concerns. Fit and finish were so poor that the product would have been considered defective. They refused to cover return shipping so I ended up having to pay nearly half the cost of the fixture to return it.

I ordered the scratch and dent freezer fridge by mistake, as I was originally wanting to order the open box. I talked to Rudy on the phone and he assured me that scratch and dent items were only very minor imperfections and the face of the fridge is not impacted. When it arrived, I could not tell where any scratches were, and it was not dented. The fridge was packed very well and works perfectly. Best part of the deal, only 85 dollars and free shipping!

I ordered a washer and dryer from Build.com and paid for "curbside delivery". Today the freight company they hired to ship the order called to say they could not deliver it because my street was too small for their truck. Build.com suggested that I hire a moving company to meet the freight truck somewhere to transfer the order and then deliver it. The other option they gave me was to return it: This was the option I chose.

This is my second order. The first, I cancelled because it was delayed months. I thought okay maybe the item is not in stock and I have not time to waste. However even for my second order. The same thing! I don't recommend!

Service done right

Friendly, knowledgeable and committed to getting things right. Had a delay on a shipment I needed to keep the contractor going on a renovation. Service helped me find a replacement product, credited my account and got me the product I needed in under a week. Nicely done.

Excellent Service

They were very responsive to a problem we had and took care of it as soon as I called.
We ended up with two of the same item and did not need two of them. So called and were given a UPS Label to return the items.

Ordered a set of bath accessories, received it in 3 shipments, and when I needed to send it back they asked me to make 3 shipments too. The price of those 3 shipments is half of the price of the set. They don't care about the customers, no way to talk to them reasonably, hold is always too long, CS reps are careless, just informing you about the way their system works.

I needed shower glass door. I made order online and I noticed it wasn't showing arrival date at all. I couldn't call them because it was after hours time. So I started to research and found out that build.com had very bad reviews. I started to freak out. It is true that it's nearly impossible to reach them over the phone but I used their chat on build.com and I got someone connected within minutes every time I was trying to get a hold of someone. I was told my order will arrive next Monday and to my surprise it did arrive on time and in whole one piece lol. The delivery person was kind enough to call me before he arrived and to bring the package right in front of my door. I am very happy, plus their price was ~20% less than other sellers.

They are crooks

We ordered pendant lights, they were different from what they had shown on their website. It says money back guarantee on their website. When we returned they didn't give us all our money back. They lost all our business for $41 as we are remodeling our house. Dumb businessman

We took delivery of an appliance. The creating was great and the container was in perfect shape so we did not open the box. When we did the glass front of the refrigerator was shattered. The internal components were not secured properly and some how broke the glass. When we reported the damage to Build.com they basically told us we were out of luck and they would not do anything. WOW. Never again will I buy anything from Build.com
