I was ordering complete shower sets for 3 bathrooms in a new home. Henry Vassar was my sales contact and he was excellent. He knew his products, made suggestions that were spot-on, in some cases saving me money. Because I wanted to think through the purchase he left everything in my basket and changed it when asked. I think we spent 2 weeks on the process. Becasue the home in being built in Mexico he even tried to find manuals in Spanish. I would highly recommend Build.com and Henry
I ordered a new shower faucet and I received the incorrect shower head from what was advertised. The combination of shower head to the shower faucet was no longer offered by the manufacturer so I was a little disappointed. Build.ca, however, had that shower head in stock as a separate part and as they realized their web site was not up to date (I am sure it is quite a task to keep their thousands of products up to date), they sent me the advertised shower head free of charge. I am a VERY satisfied customer!
P.S. The free shipping was also EXTREMELY fast. Ordered Sunday, received Tuesday.
I have placed 2 orders with build.com. In the first, I was supposed to get 15% off the order, they only gave me 15% off a few select items. So READ THE FINE PRINT. So then, I tried to call and cancel the order and get it elsewhere at a lower price. On hold for over an hour, always 10+ in line through the chat and finally emailed them. They said I couldn't cancel, it had already shipped. In less than two hours? They really get you on the return. I returned four cabinet knobs in a tiny box...$32 order. Free shipping out, $15 to return ship. I can't imagine what they would charge for a larger order. And try to call them? You cannot get through... ever... maybe they are nicer to builders than individuals but they seem like just a online middle man... prices aren't that great, service is TERRIBLE. There is NO WAY I would do a large order with them. Buy local! Or got to Home Depot.
I would be skeptical of buying anything large from this website. I had to return a heavy item and was told I would have to pay to ship this back. I knew this was the case and bought it any way. It cost $70.00 to ship it back and they told me that it was better to ship it back on my own it would cost less. Not the case... their shipping label was going to cost me $60.00. Still ridiculous! I was told by customer service that's how it is when you shop on line. Not true. Amazon doesn't do that neither do Home Depot, walmart, kohls, almost any good company! So please be careful what you order unless you don't mind spending more money! Very disappointed and will not buy anything else from them!
I'm very sorry you had a difficult experience returning an item to us. Unfortunately, when shipping home improvement products often those items have to be shipped via a freight truck. We do cover shipping to the customer at time of purchase, but if an item is returned because the customer changed their mind, and the item is not defective, then it is the responsibility of the customer to pay that return shipping as stated in our return policy online.

I ordered some product from this site and paid for 3-5 day shipping, I then received an email stating that my products wouldn't even ship out for over a month. If that wasnt enough when I finally got my product it was all wrong! I called them and all the said was that sorry their web page was wrong!

I purchased a kitchen sink. I was sent the wrong one. I called and e-mailed the rep. I bought it from with no response. I waited a reasonable amount of time and then called Customer Service. I explained the problem and between Conner and Carly, I was 100% satisfied. I will continue to do business with Build.com!

I searched EVERYWHERE... and I mean EVERYWHERE for a quality alcove soaker tub that would fit in the spot where the tub installed by our home builder was located. None of our local stores had any on display or any that could be ordered.
Build.com is the only place that I was able to locate the perfect tub. Ordering was easy, delivery was very quick (we got it in 2 days), and it was exactly as specified in their product description.
I would most definitely consider ordering from Build.com again in the future!
I ordered my tub over a week ago I have no bathroom and no tub at the moment! I get promised everyday that it's coming I am cancelling my order and paying the extra money to get it from a local store they are pathetic
I purchase 500,000 a year from various websites. I placed an order with build.com for 6000. They couldn't get it delivered. I went around to the manufacture that they get from and had it shipped overnight. Terrible company stay away.
I had ordered some corner cabinet pullouts. Unfortunately did not work for my cabinet so I had to send them back. They were excellent to work with, paid 1/2 the shipping which wasn't cheap and refunded the remaining monies promptly. Would definitely use this company again!
We experienced a problem with a jacuzzi we purchased through them (the fault of the manufacturer, not the fault of Build.com) and the sales rep we worked with went above and beyond to make it right for us. We also purchased a number of other products for our bathroom renovation and everything else went smoothly. Will definitely be using them anytime I can for any home renovation needs!
If you have an issue with a product, forget about it being resolved. They simply do not care. I paid over $200 for a Miseno medicine cabinet. It has adjustable shelves. Once it was installed by a professional, I tried to move the shelves. I unscrewed them and attempted to raise/lower them according to my needs. No luck. It's impossible. I'm out $375. I have a large cabinet on my bathroom wall, and I have 3 glass shelves sitting on the floor. After 3 emails, and about 3 hours on the phone, I received a $37 credit. And I still have no usable medicine cabinet.
Let me start by saying that i never write reviews... until now. We purchased two gold pendant lights from this company. They shipped us one silver and one clear. I called and they were very gracious and apologized. They said that they would issue us a credit and send the gold. They asked us to send pictures of the lights before sending us a return mail label. We did that, and then they asked us to send the pictures again. Which we did. They sent us the return label and we mailed back the lights. It has been a month and we still haven't received our refund. That keep saying they will send it out but haven't done so.
In the meantime, they only sent us one replacement light ( not two as we ordered), and it was silver not gold. So once again we are going through the process of trying to return the light and are running into the same road blocks.
My credit card was charged overnight by this company for over $300 for purchases I never made! I've never even heard of this company until today. I had to go through the hassle of cancelling my card and now have to wait for my new one. Do not trust this company!

After ordering light fixtures and waiting 6 weeks for them to arrive after multiple communication run-arounds, I am a one and done customer. Wish I had looked at this site before I ordered from them. Had a pricing error on site. The price was super cheap so I did a live chat and made sure I was reading it correctly and they told me yes. I placed an order and received the wrong quantity and they said their price was wrong and they cannot honor it. Pretty crappy customer service!
We ordered lanai furniture from build.com before Thanksgiving so it would be here for Christmas company. Their communication was horrible. Their initial notification when we ordered said it would arrive by Dec. 2 but the date comes and goes and we hear nothing from them. We had to contact them and finally got them to ship the furniture. They should have taken care of this themselves. It then took another 2 weeks for it to arrive with a portion of it damaged. Processing the return and new shipment took many phone calls and it still has not arrived. Furniture was supposed to arrive today and we just got notification that it won't be here until the 27th. Kind of late for our holiday celebration.
DO NOT order anything from this company. They don't seem to have any contact with their shipping contractors and all the apologies on the planet won't actually process and deliver orders on time.

They were supposed to send me 5 boxes of four fans, they sent me four fans and charged me for 20. I complained. Jerimiah promised me my credit would be issued in a couple days. Never happened. Canceled the charge on my credit card and American Express did not back me up. I called again, they blew me off. I Have spent thousands of dollars with this company but never, ever, one penny more.

Build With Ferguson (build.com) was paid for a faucet WITH soap dispenser, I was only sent the faucet, and now build.com refuses to send the soap dispenser. Said it is not included even though the dispenser is clearly listed as part of the SKU. Very rude customer service, no accountability, Bait and Switch. Decided to order the same item from Home Depot and it DOES come with a soap dispenser. Do NOT use this fraudulent company.
I had a choice between buying from this website and home depot. They were the same price and same taxes. Total came out to exactly the same. Only difference was build.com would get here Thursday. Home depot would get here Friday. So I bought from build.com to try them out. The sink turned out to be too small by an inch. I tried to return the item and got charged 10 dollars for the return shipping. I could have just bought the sink from home depot and had a hassle free return for free.
Lesson: Buy from home depot or lowes if given the choice.

Answer: I don't know how you can actually get them to answer the correct lead time. I received an estimated ship date when I ordered an American Standard faucet. Then, they emailed me 3 more times with delays. I called them after the first delay, and while I was on the phone with the agent, she placed me on hold and called American Standard, and said they told her that there would be no more delays. After this last delay, I called to cancel the order. They said they would "request cancellation" from American Standard. The big problem is they charged my account IMMEDIATELY when I ordered the product, but won't refund the money until American Standard confirms the cancellation. The service agent i spoke with escalated to her supervisor, and the supervisor is the worst person I have ever encountered when dealing with customer service.
Answer: Sorry to hear that. What finish were you trying to match? Usually its best ti use the same brand name when trying to match a finish, such as a Moen faucet to match a Moen towel bar or towel ring. That is because everybody has their own technique of making their products. I wonder if the finish on your new American Standard faucet is doesn't match because the other item you're matching in not made by American Standard. You should be able to return it if it hasn't been installed in any way and you still have the original packaging.
