I did find a caregiver. But, I thought the site was difficult to navigate. Using the site for the first time was very challenging. I also think it is quite expensive although I didn't know how to find a caregiver any other way besides going through a company and that way you don't always get quality people. So maybe paying a bit more will be worth it in the end. I am hopeful.
I sent a request for pet sitting, however the provider could not accommodate the request, care.com still charged me. There is no phone number and they make it difficult to connect to discuss issues, you email and wait for a response. Horrible customer care
My sister-in-law came across Care.com when seeking out someone to help with another sister-in-law, who's blind. At first it seemed pretty good, but then the fees started. Care.com seems to make its money selling memberships that supposedly allow access to background checks... which cost an additional fee. It then advertises that it can take care of payroll for you... for yet another fee. As for jobseekers, we were contacted by three people, all of whom ignored specific instructions on the ad such as not bringing small children to the interview. One demanded $20 because "I had to drive fifty miles." Um, you said you lived in our city. Just shady all the way around. You're better off going through Angie's List.
Forced upgrade to account felt deceitful - I would rather know about it before posting the job. Added subscription model needs rethinking - makes customer feel taken advantage of when we're already about to go spend money for a sitter

I am super nervous leave my infant and older child with anyone other then family. But I'm out of options at this point with ageing parents and siblings who wont help.

The whole website feels like a used car dealership with services auto-renewing past when they will likely be used and forced arbitration. I am only here giving you money out of desperation don't expect a trophy.

I was a member on care.com for one week - received a great response from job seekers, but our situation changed so we didn't end up hiring anyone.
When I cancelled my membership, I received an email confirmation explaining that my credit card would no longer be charged. However, three months go by and I am still being charged - despite their confirmation.
Total Scam. Agreed with all other reviews. Do NOT give this website your credit card information.
Although we subscribed only for one month membership at Care.com they charged us during 3 month. They claim that there is automatic membership renewal unless you call them to cancel. I have called 2 times now but they are still charging my credit card. I am extremely disappointed and will never use their services again. I think that facebook groups and forums are much more effective in finding reputable help through referrals.
State explicitly they don't offer refunds, so at least their upfront about it. But, terrible way to do business. No email notifying that they are billing you etc... Other free sites that much better..
This is the third time I've paid for a care.com membership, and I have only ever found one sitter, who we then stopped using because of theft. Last time, I didn't find anyone at all. I'm desperate, so coming back to try again. Not feeling hopeful.

My ladies son's sitter was under constant sexual harassment with his father. She called the company after quitting and no response. Offers of drinking and sex with an underage girl. Do NOT let your daughter work here, they don't care. Shame on them.

Not worth the money and horrible customer service. I will never recommend or use this company again. There are many other options available. They only care about profit- not actually doing good business.
After you pay $38 a month, you will find most care provider are still listed, because it's almost impossible to cancel your membership, less then honest big company, waste of money! BEWARE of care.com

Need a personal assistant, doesn't quite fit the Care.com system of how they organize their website. It needs its own top-level domain, and more applicable responsibility/skills choices. Also, the filters don't seem to work properly. Clicking "non-smoker" when looking for a possible employee, doesn't produce only non-smokers, for example. Clicking "3 miles" doesn't keep results only within 3 miles. But if I can find someone to hire, those problems will be behind me.

The website is difficult to use. We are looking for a Senior caregiver near our home. When we apply the filter for"Within 35 miles,'' only two names appear. That must be wrong, but we've tried it twice.

Complete Scam. I signed up with them for one month. They kept charging my credit card without my authorization for the next five months, and refuse to refund. In addition, their service is awful, I could not find any appropriate sitter.
Commercials suggest you can find you perfect babysitter and babysitting job TODAY. Now I realize that commercials are often far fetched, but it should definitely be within 5 months. Also, this app is not too friendly to teens as the only jobs ever posted are ones for families who want high level college graduates. Truly terrible.

Hard to find information about memberships and what they actually provide. Confusing that you offer a paid criminal report history but advertise as having 100% background checked caregivers. Navigating add ons left me wondering what I just paid for.

Way too many ala carte options, it's a bit overwhelming and expensive. Also, past people applied or were contacted just in the last week, and all of those applicants have expired. Where did they go? I am surprised with the money I just paid an archive file does not exist at the bare minimum

They closed my moms account and mine, multiple times for "no reason"... I'm sure the reason is that we were getting hired and didn't need to pay for any of their extra costly services. It sucks because you work on your profile and never get those numbers of references back.

This company was great when I joined in 2012 but it has really gotten difficult to navigate and/or rely on decent job offers...

Payment totals were unclear before credit card information was asked for. I'm willing to go with what I paid for, but that's a little sketchy by design. A final button to accept payments when the grand total is given would be appreciated, and a better business practice.

There customer service is non existent. The took my money and then closed my account without warning. I have written to them three times and still heard nothing back after a week. Nannylane and sittercity are both superior services. Don't waste your time with this site or app.

I'm having some difficulties sorting for caregivers by availability or whether they're even taking bookings. This makes sorting through caregiver profiles much more time-consuming than it needs to be. Any way you could add those features?
