I did find a caregiver. But, I thought the site was difficult to navigate. Using the site for the first time was very challenging. I also think it is quite expensive although I didn't know how to find a caregiver any other way besides going through a company and that way you don't always get quality people. So maybe paying a bit more will be worth it in the end. I am hopeful.
I sent a request for pet sitting, however the provider could not accommodate the request, care.com still charged me. There is no phone number and they make it difficult to connect to discuss issues, you email and wait for a response. Horrible customer care
I have tried three times to get a sitter for our 5 1/2 yr old grandson with Care.com
We have had several responses that said yes but when we went to book they pulled out and said they couldn't do it. We did find one but she was mostly suited for kids much younger as she had two of her own that where under 3. The ones we met, and there have been 5, the last two go arounds. They were all nice in the initial first meeting. Two of them got other full time jobs and pulled out within a week of the first meeting. The other two confirmed bookings and then cancled on the day of the sitting schedualed. One said her car wouldn't start. We tried her again and the same type thing happened. The other called and cancled thirty min before saying she was in bad traffic and couldn't make it. Oh there was one other and she cancled after the first meeting said she got a full time sitting job. We just need someone to sit for him occasionally for a few hours in the early evening after school or maybe several hours on a weekend day. But so far we've found no one thru Care. I am going to try one more time as I see there are some now that I haven't contacted. If this doesn;'t get at least one I will not use Care anymore for obvious reasons. Fingers Crossed! It seems like it should be a good place to find someone.
I usually find good help on Care, but the website is difficult to navigate, and one never knows what the person on the other side sees. For instance, if I view a message, I can't navigate from that page to my profile or job posting. I thought my job was being attached when I send out a request for help, but what the person saw was my profile. I just got a reply back from someone I messaged last week, and she was complaining about not understanding how the page functions. Also, some service providers have multiple profiles because they perform multiple services, but when I search housekeepers, their babysitter profile comes up.
Most of the housekeepers I have had have done well until they had a reason not to do this kind of work anymore. One got Covid from another client and developed some serious health problems as a result of long Covid. One was putting herself through Beauty school and quit when she finished her required training to become a hairdresser. Another was working to pay for college in another state. One had too many obstacles to be able to maintain a schedule.

Over the past three years we have had a lot of need for last minute childcare. Care.com has been our go to and has literally allowed us to continue our full time work and parenting responsibilities. We are so grateful for this service and the great caregivers we have met!

Poor customer service, unable.to.apeak with an agent all communication is electronic and for the most fromated. They up charge, cause add ons to the subscription in a shady way. I have tried to hire twice through them the first 2 workers flaked on interviews and the 3rd is basically running an u licensed daycare out of thier home.

I needed to be away for 3 days and 2 nights and leave my 1yr old kitties alone for the 1st time. I had some anxiety about leaving them and having a stranger in my house. And then Monika from Care.com contacted me through my job posting for a cat sitter. We met at my house and I liked her right away. My kitties seemed to like her as well. I sent her a couple of videos on how to feed and generally do what needed to be done while I was gone. I had to leave fir the airport before she got there and it worked out fine. I asked her to send me pictures of how they were doing and she did! Everything went great. The pictures and texts she sent assured me my kitties were happy and playing as usual and eating normally. It was a big relief to me.

When I posted my job, I had certain days of the week and a time range Carecom gave me available jobseekers that have the days of the week that I needed. They sometimes weren't available for the times that I needed. I found out by reading their profiles. This was a little time consuming.

Kathleen saw the notice and replied second to it. The first respondent was already spoken for. Kathleen responded second and matched all our requirements. When she visited on Thursday, she took control of the situation and put our minds to rest. Unlike other care givers, which we really appreciated, she didn't spend her time looking at her phone,or changing the channels on the TV to suit her own taste, but let mom watch her favorite channels. She was always mindful of her duties and what care was necessary and when.

I was directing my messages to specific babysitters but it would still be sent out to other sitters I was not interested in using. There's no tipping ability either.

Donna L. Is an incredible person to begin with. She nows animals our pets liked her right away, needless to say we did too. Donna took such great care of the pets while we were away. Best of all they were so calm when we arrived so we know there was no anxiety for them!

Diana was a very pleasant young lady. But she. Canceled her appointment several times. We are 79 years old and both have physical problems. Prior to three times we attempted to get the house organized. For the arrival of our new housekeeper, with out success. My wife was very disappointed and felt foolish for believing in Dianna and her false verbal promises.
