I did find a caregiver. But, I thought the site was difficult to navigate. Using the site for the first time was very challenging. I also think it is quite expensive although I didn't know how to find a caregiver any other way besides going through a company and that way you don't always get quality people. So maybe paying a bit more will be worth it in the end. I am hopeful.
I sent a request for pet sitting, however the provider could not accommodate the request, care.com still charged me. There is no phone number and they make it difficult to connect to discuss issues, you email and wait for a response. Horrible customer care
It costs about $40 just to find out that no one actually read your job description. Not one of the applicants were looking for a live-in position, which was the title of the job description. Upon further look into the candidates, it appears that about 90% of them are no where near as skilled as they would like to believe I'm sorry, but no teenager out of high school is a "specialist" and because you have younger siblings does not give you "years of experience." There is a no refund policy and that stands even if you request a refund within the first 10 minutes. Oh, and that goes for their tacky ad-on advertisements where if you click, you may find yourself adding another $20 for background checking the already checked applicants. I feel foolish for having taken the risk.

I signed up for one month subscription and posted one job. Then my job got "rejected" without giving a reason. Then they keep charging me monthly fee for the "one month" subscription for over half a year till I realize it. Of course you are not getting your money back, even though I never used the service for ONCE after $300+ was charged. Their membership clause is "deceiving". Stay away and use other reputable sites that's built on a honest business model for your service needs. I am going to try to dispute through my credit card company. Wish me good luck.
Someone stole money from me and Care.com is doing NOTHING to help resolve this issue. I paid for the service because I thought the did background checks on people! If you see someone named Claudia F. Don't hire her!
Tip for consumers:
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!

I signed up for their month package. After messaging 6 pet sitters only 1 replied to say she does not cover my area. Even messaged pet sitters with "Quick Response". Keep in mind I placed a radius on my zip code. With no refund I'm stuck with membership for 1 month. A little bit of a waste. Start with the free account until you find someone otherwise it will get frustrating.
Tip for consumers:
No response from pet care takers.

I would give this company a zero if I could. There's no trial so if you're interested in looking at your options before contacting them, you can't. You have to commit to a full subscription to see your options. I was in search of a full-time nanny and most everyone on there are young people just looking for part time baby sitting. Very disappointed. Trying to get my money back.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME NANNY. OR OPTIONS FOR MATURE NANNIES. THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE ON THE WEBSITE AVAILABLE TO WORK FOR HIRE ARE YOUNG.
Products used:
None - Service doesn't offer what it advertises. I was looking for a full-time nanny and the only options were young people looking for part time babysitting jobs. Very unhappy with the purchase.

Hi Gina!
I appreciate your feedback on the site. If you would like, please message me with the full name, email and city/state listed on your account. I would be happy to review it with you.
If you contact customer service they will just close your account for no reason at all. No warning or anything. Who does that? Asked a simple question reply back from them was my account had been closed of FOUR YEARS? Want given the opportunity to even decide if i wanted it closed or not. I don't no how asking a simple question gets your account closed.
I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have a positive experience with the site. For assistance, please reach out via our Help Center contact us link at help.care.com or Facebook Messenger. The process of applying was simple enough at the start; however, there were several points at which the site would reload, and my application started to look more like a babysitter application than the tutor application I had been filling out. Whatever, technical difficulties, right? Well, I get to the part where it says I need a background check. I put in my info, and it said my payment didn't go through. The next day, I saw not one, not two, but three charges on my account. Thankfully I was able to fix it through my bank, but support was 1) difficult to find contact info for and 2) super unhelpful. Not even a response to indicate they received my message. Do not attempt to work for Care.com. If you need to use their services, I completely understand. But seriously, try to look elsewhere. They are sketchy and honestly not worth the time or effort.

When I purchased the premium membership or showed $12 monthly subscription if I committed for one year. And then when I got my email it skewed they charged me the full amount of $155.40. This means it was not a monthly subscription. I contacted customer service immediately after to cancel and they said no refunds and it's their policy. It's absolutely misleading and they didn't say no refunds before. They also say, 'not commitment cancel anytime' but won't give you your money back.
Tip for consumers:
They nature it sounds like they are offering background checks in the premium pricing and they are not! It's a substantial amount.
If this was possible I would give care.com 0 stars. I have sent them 4 emails and no one is responding, their customer support service is beyond poor. I contacted the company on all Social media platforms but I am still sitting with an unresolved issue. The fact that they created an online company and only provided one form of communication (email) and choose to pay NO attention to is sickening. This company is quick to deduct service fees but never available to provide the actual service!
I normally don't write reviews like this but it has become very frustrating. $110 is not cheap and now there is no way to get in contact with a CARE SUPPORT unless I log in. Which it won't allow me to do. I've tried on different devices and all. The password is correct but it won't let me access my account. Very disappointed with Care.com I might just have to go with Sitter City
I have reached out to this member to resolve the issue, but have not heard back. Additional help can be found at https://help.care.com/
I willingly paid for a three month subscription to give this a try. Nowhere when I entered my payment info did it say it would auto bill me again and again. I have now been billed an extra $194 for something I did not authorize.
I have file a credit card dispute and am considering reporting them to the better business bureau! I have no problem with the original fee I agreed to - but the two since then are illegal!
Tip for consumers:
Do not give them your credit card info.

Watch out! Don't get ripped off like me. This platform only wants to keep your money, I was asked for a subscription to see the jobs since I paid no customer responds and neither do they. I demand my money back and my profile deleted! They never answer my emails! Their business is to charge a fake membership!
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this website!!

Care.com is holding my profile hostage until I pay their new $14.99 screening fee! I've been with them for years only because there is no one else, what a hassle these years have been with them. I've gotten a couple good jobs but they want you to pay to see the better ones. Greedy, greedy, greedy company! So disgusted!
I attempted to book/contact at least 5 people through care.com within the first 24 hours. All people who supposedly were active in their memberships and logging in. The job was a sweet, easy, very typical house cleaning.
NOT A SINGLE PERSON REPLIED. I don't even know if the memberships were real people. I immediately asked that they refund my card and cancel the nonexistent service. They clearly make their money of off first time subscribers because they didn't even entertain it, and told me that my subscription ended in a month as if saying we can't give you a refund for a product we have no intention of delivering but the good news is we won't charge you twice for something that doesn't exist. I called my credit card company and told them of the situation and they had it reversed.
Tip for consumers:
Don't bother

There is no free basic subscription. To respond to applicants you must have the so-called premium version. I was supposed to get a discount, but it was not applied. I mistakenly did an add-on, but the system would not let me remove it. There is no last check of total before buying. They would not let me cancel even though I had not used it and contacted them immediately. I was told I would be contacted today, but that has not happened. AVOID THESE PEOPLE. Contact your local Senior and Disabilities agency.

First of all there is an offer to try FOR FREE then you cant finish your profile without entering credit card. You don't know if jobs are available in your area until they get your money. Once they get your money. Nothing is available in the area. You cannot reach anyone with this group and their auto generated emails are a joke. I am disputing any charges to my card. Apparently this is a scam b. S. membership which should be advertised as such with ability to delete profile and all credit card information if not satisfied. AVOID CARE because they don't care about anything except getting your money!
UPDATE 7/24/21 Want your profile removed? Update bio header and bio to include your scam experience and how they only use your information to extort money, click update so they can review and approve then wait. You should get an email they removed or cancelled your account. I got my profile deleted and money refunded. Good luck!
Tip for consumers:
Save your time and money. Go somewhere else. Care.com only cares about money. I have been emailing responses to every email they have sent and no one has responded. Ridiculous!!! A magazine subscription is easier to cancel than this madness!!!!!! Even Facebook allows you to delete your profile... Ugh. I regret ever joining this stupid site.

None. Nothing is even available in this area. I don't want any of their products offered. I want to delete my profile, get a refund and be done with this sham.
Be warned about this girl Katie (Katherine) Klein. She is one of the most selfish and evil people I've ever met in my life. And she is incredibly violent. The scary part is is that she's a nanny even though she hasn't had a nanny job in many years. If you're considering getting her as a nanny on care.com I strongly encourage you not to because she has a record of assaulting strangers in public, attacking me, attacking my friend and even attacking her mother. What's even scarier is that she's due to have a baby in two months.

I have been served like real $#*!. I've been contacting them multiples times to get a refund since I have contacted more than 20 providers and received only 1 answer back 3 week after my post. They make you pay for 3 months + and their providers are either not looking for employment so they don't use their account anymore or they go visit their account once in a while to tell you they already have a job so they are not searching anymore. The answer I got from customer service was that... I received an answer so it doesn't pass on the fact that I was not receiving any response back.
NEVER USE THEM. Instead, use facebook babysitter/nanny groups. You will at least receive decent applicants.
Tip for consumers:
Do not subscribe with them EVER

I opened my credit card summary today and noted I was charged for an additional year subscription as a provider to CARE. Unlike every other company that renews subscriptions, CARE DOES NOT give you an advance notice of your renewal. Thus, giving you no option to cancel. After many frustrating searches on their inadequate site I finally found the one hidden page to cancel my account. The other, more obvious pages, only give you the option to Upgrade your basic account. I cancelled my account on the same day it renewed and contacted the support team at CARE to please refund their one year renewal charge. ( I had also paused my account for several months up to now). The personnel team absolutely refused to reimburse me for the membership charges for an additional year. Yes, this is another greedy scam of a company.
I joined 8/28 and thought I was paying a monthly fee.
When I got my credit card bill, I was billed $79.79 for three months.
I am in my 70's and was trying to hire help because my husband needs hip replacement.
And I have a torn knee. I have been unable to hire anyone! I'm too far away, they can only.
Work evening, all kinds of excuses! care.com has no phone number and I have written two e-mails since 9/10. Never got an answer. Today I got on a chat, and they are charging me the full $79.79!
To deal with them has added so much more stress to our lives and not helped anything.
They add fees on top of what people post as there charges as well.
Horrible organization for elderly people to deal with!

I would give 0 stars if possible.
The vast majority of care providers on this website are under-qualified and not adequately screened. The few that appear to be qualified are already working and unavailable. This website is a total scam so I decided to cancel the overpriced "Premium Membership" which is about $60 per month. Membership is auto charged. When I attempted to cancel the subscription, I was unable to as their website was down. There is no phone number or anyone to call. They charged my card and I was unable to obtain a refund.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE
Not worth the money and horrible customer service. I will never recommend or use this company again. There are many other options available. They only care about profit- not actually doing good business.
I've been using this site for years. I sent out ENDLESS applications only to never receive a response or be turned downed! I have 2 children ( that need to come to work with me) but let me tell you... I get the job done and better than most nannies/sitters without kids would! I have tons of experience (12 yrs) and great references plus I'm extremely reliable, responsible, clean... must I go on. What the hell do these folks want?! All I want is a chance to prove myself but can't get that. I'd like to really blast them when they respond that "they'd like to find a "better fit" for their family!" This all goes for: senior, sitter and pet care... All suck! I've wasted countless hours typing up applications with the aching fingers to prove it! And one last thing, good luck trying to change your availability, it's impossible! The old site was easier and should be changed back.
Thank you!
My sister-in-law came across Care.com when seeking out someone to help with another sister-in-law, who's blind. At first it seemed pretty good, but then the fees started. Care.com seems to make its money selling memberships that supposedly allow access to background checks... which cost an additional fee. It then advertises that it can take care of payroll for you... for yet another fee. As for jobseekers, we were contacted by three people, all of whom ignored specific instructions on the ad such as not bringing small children to the interview. One demanded $20 because "I had to drive fifty miles." Um, you said you lived in our city. Just shady all the way around. You're better off going through Angie's List.
The whole website feels like a used car dealership with services auto-renewing past when they will likely be used and forced arbitration. I am only here giving you money out of desperation don't expect a trophy.
