The mirrors did not stay on the self adhesive foot pads and after you get the mirror in the proper position you have to crank them down really tight and once you want to release the tension you end up using a large screw driver to pry them loose-don't know how long they will last under that condition-second time I have used them-quite pricy-I like them when in use.
Ordered part. Didn't fit. CARiD says it's correct, but it's not. Wanted to return for full refund but was told about restocking fee and shipping fee, basically only getting $10 back on a $60 part that clearly did not fit...never again!
Purchased a caliper with 10yr 100K mile warranty. It failed 10k miles in. Ask for replacement which took forever to get a response. Finally was sent a replacement after some back and forth nonsense. The second one failed 8k miles in and again asked for replacement. They said its out of warranty because they already sent a replacement, therefore, the warranty is only 20days. Go to a real store with real products. I went to the store and replaced the caliper. Problem resolved. Wish I didn't waste my time and money giving Carid a chance for my automotive needs.
I bought a part for my boat then found out I could not use that part I called for the RMA as they request and all you get is a huge run around its been 6 days and still no RMA number when I call customer service they say wait 24 more hours when it clearly states return merchandise numbers take 24 to 72 hours lousy Customer service and I sincerely warn everyone buy from elswhere to avoid and of these problems. I've emailed phoned and left messages to no avail. Time to get my staff attorney involved.

Car Id offered a J W Performance ultra Bell for 519.00 and FREE SHIPPING on their EBay site. I made the purchase and placed it on my charge card. Proceeded to check out and Car Id added 17 dollars and change for shipping. I contacted Car Id and was told there was nothing they could do about the added shipping charges. Why does EBay let companies operate on their site and allow companies like Car Id screw people? EBay offers no way to contact them and complain about companies like Car Id. EBay made their money so why should they give a flying $#*! about the customer using their online site?

I understand your frustration but the shipping cost varies on the destination as well as the taxes. After adding the parts to the cart you put the shipping address. The system not just calculates the shipping cost and tax, it also checks the nearest location all the parts are available at (the closest so that warehouse to get the lowest shipping price, the availability of several items at one location to have the shipment combined for free). When the address is filled in, it shows the subtotals for the item, shipping, tax separately and the grand total. If the total does not work for you, the order is not processed, no fee is hidden, just close the page or get back to the cart.
Only if the grand total works you can proceed with the order and be redirected to the page where the payment information is required. Taking into account all the diversity of products, warehouses and final shipment locations across the whole US and world this is the most accurate way for us to provide the best competitive prices (of course, if you find the same part for less we match the prices for you).

This is the worst company ever to deal with... I bought a rear fender for my car and when I recieved it late it was nothing like the picture shows or describes... when I returned the product back for a refund they said the product was damaged but no one could tell me how the product was damaged. They said they would ship it back to me and instead they shipped back to me a bunch of car toys! After calling them to see what the@#$& is going on they couldn't tell me and three months now I have been calling them to get a refund and get the district managers name and number... but they would not give me any information. Don't do busisness with this company if you don't want to be ripped off.
This company is a joke. Ordered a tool box for my son for Christmas on dec 11 for his truck... plenty of time to receive by Christmas. Still has not been shipped and didn't tell me til today that it would be January before it shipped. They told me dec18. Of course all I get is they have to contact manufacturer. They want to give me a store credit. I told them apparently they don't have kids and have money at their disposal bc they said it would take five days to get my refund. I have to get him a gift So now what do I do print a picture and wrap it so he will know he will get it when money gets refunded. This is so sad that they get by with treating people this way. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THEM.
I purchased 2 items from CARID. One item shipped and one was backordered. I immediately cancelled the backordered item. I was told it was canceled and I would be refunded for that item. 8 days later the item showed up and I was never refunded.

Bought and paid for a $75.00 item advertised IN STOCK, after 4 days I call to get tracking info and they tell me its going to be a couple more days before they ship. What takes 6 days to ship one item? Are they in stock? Yes they say. Then I'm transferred to a "specialist" He tells me there is no stock and they have no idea when they will have any? Now I have to wait to get my money back! Lame company, no communications and FALSE ADVERTISING to state twice "in stock" when they aren't. STAY AWAY!

As others complain about the same thing - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS OUTFIT! They do not follow through on their claims to provide prompt returns. I ordered a bumper cover and it took 2 weeks for it to ship. The part was not even close to what was advertised as "A perfect fit". Part was not even close. As others have stated I am getting the royal runaround. Different names, different email addresses and constantly requesting additional information. It's been 3 weeks since I called in the request for return and they are still saying they need more information in order to contact the supplier! NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM!

I dealt with Danny a few times. Pretty knowledgeable and fast. He matched prices from different supplier. Fast tractable shipment. Will be ordering again.
Customer service and product knowledge are the two traits that make this company outstanding. I plan on doing much more business with CARiD in the future.
Purchased two item from them and they only shipped one. Their resolution to the discrepancy was a $10 gift certificate which didn't even cover the cost of shipping. Customer service is worthless
