The mirrors did not stay on the self adhesive foot pads and after you get the mirror in the proper position you have to crank them down really tight and once you want to release the tension you end up using a large screw driver to pry them loose-don't know how long they will last under that condition-second time I have used them-quite pricy-I like them when in use.
Ordered part. Didn't fit. CARiD says it's correct, but it's not. Wanted to return for full refund but was told about restocking fee and shipping fee, basically only getting $10 back on a $60 part that clearly did not fit...never again!
What i ordered and what i received was totally different, then i was accused of damaging the item, just so they don't have to pay for the return shipping, losers!
I owe Carid.com my apologies. I myself was upset with Carid.com customer service only to find out that it was my fault. I am an avid computer builder and auto mechanic but yet made the idiotic mistake of not checking my Spam folder for Carid.com email for my S/H label for my core return. I was rude to several of the Carid.com CSR's but not one time were they rude with me and never did they patronize me or belittle me. I know for a fact that a lot of these reviews with people saying that Carid.com has rude CSR agents etc. or that they are being shipped the wrong part are not being honest. When I order a part I take the part number and confirm it is correct from somewhere else like the internet, duh. It cracks me up that because people makes mistakes they have to blame it on Carid.com or someone besides themselves. I have no problem admitting to my mistakes. One final note. I know for a fact that if Carid.com did send me the wrong part they would either email me a paid S/H label to return the wrong part and they would have the right part sent out ASAP or work out a refund, without being rude or calling me a liar. I will definitely continue to shop Carid.com and will my family and friends use them too.
Tip for consumers:
Learn how to use the site so that you don't order the wrong part. Get the part number from another site and then come to Carid.com to confirm it. Carid.com will still be cheaper.
Ordered an upper control arm kit and it was missing over $100 in parts. They put you on hold until you hang up or they hang up on you. Happened twice.
I ordered a pair of rims and they were not in production and I cancelled 25 days after placing an order and they refused to provide me a refund do not use CARiD to purchase Wheels I repeat do not use car ID to purchase Wheels

Placed a order mar 13 paid ALOT FOR OVERNIGHT AIR SHIPPING it is now the 21st still havnt received my package contacted ups said carid company never even put my order out for shipping so requested my overnight air shipping be refunded and they said no they will only offer me $25 gift certificate... I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN! You can offer me a gift certificate but can not apply that to my refund for shipping?!?!?!?!

I received a damage rim in the mail so when i called carid they ask to send a picture of the damage rim so i send the picture at 9:30am and didn't hear anything back about my return so I called them back at 4:30pm and the stated we sent an email. I explained to them that i had my email open the whole day I never got an email from you so finally they send the email. The next day they send a shipping label so i print it out and drop it off at an ups drop off. Then they send an email the following morning at 5:30 am with a different shipping label. I explained to them that I've already dropped the rim off and that I cant leave my job to go track down my package. This place is a joke and I will never order from them again or tell anyone I know to order from them. Update on rim… I tracked my package and it said it was waiting for a payment after CARID told me they would cover all the cost which was false. Then they tell me once they receive my rim it will take 45 to 60 days to look at the curb rash rim I received before sending out a replacement. Why does it take 2 months to look at a curb rash rim that was sent to me?

I have been dealing with this company for over a month and a half. Order a body kit that I was told was in stock. After 2 weeks was told backorder until June. Ordered just parts that I was told by a supervisor would ship in 3 days a week later said they were back ordered. Ordered other body kit since car in in shop ready to be painted and that one shipped, deliverer was to call body shop manager to set up delivery. Was delivered Monday night when last employee was leaving, no deliver set up just dropped off. Kit was damaged spent over $800 dollars and they will do not thing for me. I have called numerious times. Never can talk to a manager, they say will call you back with in 48 hours. Supervisor are not very helpful and rude. They act like there doing you a favor and you did something wrong. I am rung up on at least two or three times ever time I call and wait on hold an average of 30 minutes each time I call. Now I have a damaged body kit my son paid for that can't be used and will not give me my money back or exchange because they dropped off without appointment. Scam, scam, scam. Worst company I have ever deal with and I have been in retail management for 30 plus year. Run don't walk don't order anything from this company unless you want to spend your life on the phone and never get want you want and if you do if will be damaged and there is nothing they will do for you. I guess that is what they think customer service is?

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They do not back the products that they sell. When you call to complain about the defective part they require that you send numerous pictures and videos of the problem. After they receive the email with validating the problem the tell you they did not get the supporting pictures and videos. The initial person that you speak with is a mere foot soldier that will tell you they have to follow a certain protocol, when you escalate the problem to a manager they too will address protocol with very little conversation about resolving the problem. USE AMAZON!

I Google searched for both PCV elbows for my 1981 Riviera. I work at a Transmission shop in Columbus, Ohio. I called our suppliers (Advance Auto Parts and Auto Zone) I asked them to look up those two PCV elbows for me, they acted like I asked for their first born child. The Google search brought up CARiD and I searched their site and found a group of PCV elbows where I saw the two I needed, but couldn't get separate part #'s for them. I clicked on live chat, not 1 minute late Laura found them for me, and I bought them. Less than 5 minutes I had found them and bought them. Advance Auto parts had me on hold for more than 5 minutes.
I order a hoose for my car, It supposed to arrive 2 weeks ago, today not shipped yet, they charge my card in advance, the result is: I have no piece and I cannot move my car.

The order process was very easy and the customer service they are very understanding. Love it. Even when the part I order did not fit my car they was very understanding.
This has been a three-month-long nightmare. And, an expensive one!
Twice, this company sent the wrong parts. The first was a set of headlights. The mechanic, who I had to pay for his time, told me they didn't fit, so I let them know. They said, ok, send them back, we'll send the right ones. We paid for the right ones, which came, and were installed. We also ordered an air conditioner hose, which was ALSO the wrong one. Contacted them when it arrived, and they said to just throw it out and they would send the proper one. The proper one, however, was a bit more money. So we paid the extra and received the right hose.
Then, a couple of weeks went by and we hadn't received the refund for the wrong headlights. Contacted them several times and played 'not my department' tag. Finally, they said they would not be issuing a refund, as there was dirt on one of the connectors. The plastic covering the lights was intact, but it was also dirty.
So, we are over $600CAD poorer because they sent the wrong parts, and now they have the parts and won't send them unless we pay to have them shipped, and pay duty on them AGAIN.
Avoid giving your money to this company! Chances are that what seems like a good deal will end up being a good deal of trouble and wasted money. Don't trust their own reviews! We have tried a few times to post this review on their site, but they simply remove any comments they don't like.

They will send the wrong part and then refuse to refund if you try to install it.

I ordered a Paramount modular bumper from CARiD and within a year it started to rust, chip and the lights stopped functioning because water was leaking into the housing. In February I contacted customer service about the issue, they were quick to respond but its all down hill from there. I was told to send the product back and I would be sent a replacement bumper. (Later discovered in my own it was no longer being sold) I told them I did not have the original box and I needed them to send me the appropriate material and they refused. They directed me to UPS who said they did not have a box strong enough or large enough for a bumper. Mind you I dont possess the necessary tools to remove the bumper and would have to spend additional money to send the bumper back. I have been given the run around since. My most recent phone conversation was with Jospeh Thomas a costumer service supervisor who said he wanted to resolve the issue. However after several weeks I am right back where I started. Mr. Thomas assured me he would get the issue resolved only to have CARiD, for the third time, reissue the shipping label for a return again. I am frustrated but will keep trying. It is clear CARiD does not care about their customers. I should have done my research first.
This is the worst place I have ever ordered from. I ordered a silencer for my aftermarket exhaust because my dad doesn't like the noise when he drives my car. The shipping took longer than it should have because they order from the manufacturer. And when it came the thing didn't fit my muffler or quiet my exhaust. I called them to return it and get a refund (this is the worst part) and they tell me that once you install a part it is no longer returnable. SO HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO FIND OUT IF IT WORKS IF YOU DON'T TRY IT! IT IS THE DUMBEST REASONING EVER! And before I could respond the rep ended to call. I will never order from this joke of an auto parts website ever again. No one should! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
