“Trailer mirrors”

The mirrors did not stay on the self adhesive foot pads and after you get the mirror in the proper position you have to crank them down really tight and once you want to release the tension you end up using a large screw driver to pry them loose-don't know how long they will last under that condition-second time I have used them-quite pricy-I like them when in use.

Ordered part. Didn't fit. CARiD says it's correct, but it's not. Wanted to return for full refund but was told about restocking fee and shipping fee, basically only getting $10 back on a $60 part that clearly did not fit...never again!

A horrible nightmare. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had with an online business. Bought wheel bearing hub assembly set in late Nov '16 to replace mine. 7 weeks later, the part was defective + I nearly died while driving. I contacted CariD immediately for a refund. They wouldn't give a refund... but offered the potential for a replacement. After 5 days of hearing NOTHING from them, they then wanted me to have my mechanic remove the defective part... send it to them + then wait for their processing. My mechanic couldn't do this because my car would then have to be stuck on his lift.

So, in the end, it would've been close to 2 weeks without my car, $1000 in rental car costs + $200 more in mechanic labor fee's... all because they scammed me with a DEFECTIVE PART!

I ended up ordering the part from the dealer + taking the $300+ loss... because I could never trust this company with my safety on the road. I feel like it was a complete scam.

Probably my fault for not checking reviews before I dealt with them. 60% of their reviews sound just like my experience.

I needed a brake controller for my Mercedes, unfortunately being a German car, things are difficult. I wanted a direct plugin into my factory wiring harness. CARiD stated they had a Curt controller that was a direct fit, though Curt's website did not say it was. I called to verify, the sales associate said it was, put me on hold and said he called Curt and they confirmed it was a direct fit. I hesitated, the salesman stated he promised it was. I asked if it wasn't, if there would be any issues with returning it, he of course stated 'no'. So, I tried, it of course did not fit and would require splicing into my harness. I got it on Friday, called on Monday to initiate return. They said I needed to take pictures to prove that it did not fit, but then they were bothered I took it out of the packaging. Um, needed to take it out to see if the plugs matched (both male plugs and Curt does not make a direct fit adapter. After being on hold for over 20 minutes, I had to run some errands. Called back, took about 30 minutes of discussion to finally get them to send an RMA. Said it would be 2-3 days. A week later, I called back, still haven't received an RMA, two days later I received it. The RMA has a statement saying it wasn't used or installed blah blah blah, and wanted me to sign it. I've never had this much trouble returning something that was their error.

I ordered rear brake drum parts from CARID and although I ordered the correct parts they sent the wrong ones. I was not aware right away that the parts were wrong the parts were unpackaged and laid out for the job (1997 Jeep Wrangler) and the packaging disposed of. I have been in touch with CARID and they agree with me that they sent the wrong parts. They asked for pictures of the parts and I sent them, they asked for pictures of the odometer and the vin of the vehicle and I sent them. This has been going on for over 3 weeks. Every time I send an email they reply back that it will be 24 to 48 hours before they will respond back. Now that they have asked for something I don't have (picture of mailing package) I am getting the run around. I paid close to 600.00 for these parts. I don't want anything I don't deserve I just want what I paid for. It is not my fault they sent parts I didn't order, you would think a large company such as carid would take care of a customer when they are in the wrong. Do yourself a favor and don't order from them.

I placed an order on August 28th and here it is September 9th and I still dont have my order... it was sent to the wrong address, and it wasn't my fault! I live in Chicago and they sent it to Virginia. I asked how was it mixed up, they said they're unsure and it would have to be investigated. I asked instead of me waiting for them to figure out who messed up, to send me a new item from the manufacturer. They told me to call back in 24 to 48 hours for an update. Each and every time I called them, they have someone on the phone with an accent so thick that I could barely understand anything, and each and every time I was told to check back in 24 to 48 hours. I'm sooooo FRUSTRATED right now. This last lady I spoke to today told me to contact the manufacturer and then ups for an update. I finally got fed up and asked for a refund, and oh yes she said call back in 24 to 48 hours for an update regarding my refund... NEVER A-$#*!ING-GAIN! IM PISSED!

WORST Experience EVER!
I ordered a part from CARID, never got the order in time, I had to cancel and refuse the order. CARID CHARGED ME $158. Recka the "supervisor" hung up on me and told me he wouldn't let me speak with a supervisor!
THE WORST WEBSITE EVER! DO NOT ORDER, I WILL WRITE REVIEWS ALL OVER THE WEB on how unprofessional and unrealistic this company is!

Returns process is terrible. I ordered a set of Trakmotive axles in 2016 for my 1997 Honda Civic. They sent me the wrong axles (for a Japanese Civic, not a US Model) and refused to take the never installed parts back saying the order issue was my fault. They then sent me the correct set at a "discount" in 2017. I installed the correct parts and drove the car for approximately 12K miles when a CV joint on the driver's side failed on a trip back from Virginia. I drove the last 500 miles at between 40 and 50 miles an hour literally praying that the axle would hold together. Upon my return, I replaced the defective axle with a new OEM one from the local Honda Dealer, no problem, the vibration was gone. When I attempted to leverage the "lifetime" guarantee for the defective axle, I was met with recriminations and skepticism. I was supposed to send them a letter from a certified mechanic that the part was defective. Since I have an Engineering degree and used to tune BMWs, I thought my word would be sufficient however, evidently not. I had to send them pictures of the defective part along with a picture of the VIN number of my car. The long and the short of it is that I now have three Trakmotive axles that either don't fit my vehicle or are defective with no recourse. I have done a lot of business over the years with many on-line parts suppliers however, this is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had

I purchased a set of 5 wheel/tire packages for my new 2022 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 4x4 van. CarID's fitment guide said that 18x8,52mm offset, 6x130 wheels and 265/65R18 tires would fit my exact vehicle, and they guaranteed it. Well, I received them, and the tires rub when turning and driving. I reported the problem to CarID, they asked for photos which I sent, and I even sent them a letter from a master Mercedes mechanic at my Sprinter dealer saying that they rubbed. But CarID refused to acknowledge this was their problem and refused to honor their fitment guarantee. They even blamed me, falsely claiming that my vehicle was not factory stock and that's why their wheels and tires didn't fit, despite the fact this is brand new and just off the carrier from the factory.

I am left with $3600 worth of wheels and tires that don't fit my vehicle despite them guaranteeing they would fit just fine. Worse yet, if you read the fine print, tires and wheel packages are non-returnable, so their fitment guarantee is an utterly meaningless sham. When their erroneous fitment guide recommends wheels and tires that don't fit, your only recourse is a lawsuit.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from CarID at all costs, and buy your wheels and tires from someone who will actually stand behind their products.

We are gladly accepting all products in a brand new (uninstalled) condition within 30 days return period and with the original box for return. Therefore, we always recommend our clients to test-fit the product first, before fully assembling it to the vehicle.

Usually, when it comes to fitment, we have to follow the Manufacturer's instructions. In some cases, pictures or additional information may be necessary to complete the claim.

I have wasted at least 5 to 6 hours on hold with these clowns. I had a rim crack which it was under warranty. They said I would just have to pay for a new one then they would send me a new. I would just have to send the cracked wheel back and they would refund me. Well I paid for the wheel they said it would be a one week turn around and I would have my money back. I got a email a few days later that said the wheel was on back order and it would ship out in 3 months. So I called a few times a week to see if it would be any sooner. I got the same answer a few times that it would be in 3 months. So I got the manufactures email and talked to them about my situation. They said they no longer make that wheel. They didnt know how they even got a day to ship out a wheel they didnt even make anymore. So I called CARiD back and told them what the manufacturer said. So they looked into it and said they would refund me for all of my wheels. So I was happy with that but it took almost a month to get boxes from CARiD to send them back. So now they said they would give me 872 back for the wheels towards the new ones. The new ones are a 7 dollar difference and they are trying to charge me 95 dollars for something they cant give me an answer what the charge is for no one there knows what is going on. I have asked to talk to a manager for the last month still have yet to talk to a manager. I called back today and now all of the managers are in a meeting. This company is a joke I will never deal with them again please stay clear of them. I mean unless you feel like being on hold for at least and hour for no answers.

Carid: i bought a set of hid lights lasted about 4 mo they sent me another set lasted about 2 weeks sent me another set they lasted about 1mo called wells Fargo Bank and they said to return all items i did so know wells won't help me bur carid would not help they said the item had to be a like new to return i would like to know how you can use a set of lights in snow/mud and be a like new cond. They have the worst customer service in the world won't return calls/email PLEASE read their web sight very close before buying they are crooks Ronnie

I initially made my order for wheels and tires January 20th... did not realize they would not ship until March 22nd, so within 5 minutes of the purchase I requested to cancel and was told I could not. Ok... so finally 4 days later after calling about 3-4 times, I got someone to help me get a refund in order to make a new order. When I selected the new order, it said ships in 2-3 days. Once I placed the order and paid $2,900.00 it said 12 days. Seriously? I could go somewhere local and buy them for a little more and get them same day... crazy. So now here we are 12 days later and they STILL HAVE NOT shipped, yet I've paid almost $3k out of my pocket. My lift I ordered from somewhere else came in 2 weeks ago... now just waiting and waiting and waiting on the rims and tires. I hope and pray that the order is right when they do finally come in! Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and dishonesty/sketchy vibes.

***Update: Was able to get in touch with a representative to check on the order status and they said that as of today (Feb 5th), they are now on back order and it will be another 4-6 weeks) So we went from 2-3 days, to 12 days, to 4-6 weeks. Good grief! They "made a special exception" and let us cancel. They said refund will show up in 24-48 hrs. We shall see... Don't deal with this sketchy place.

I had written a review earlier about how this company had failed to honor the price they quoted. Here is some more information. This company didn't care to honor their emailed price quote and their customer service couldn't have cared less UNTIL I contacted the Better Business Bureau of New Jersey. After I contacted them they finally wanted to take action. You would think it would be to honor their quoted price but it was not. They said they would discount the product to try and rectify the situation after I had filed a complaint with the BBB AND returned their product. But here's the kicker, they tried to lure me in with a discount but then add shipping and handling and taxes to the product that they didn't charge me initially! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOKED COMPANY!

I would give this company zero stars if I could. I ordered mag wheels for my jeep grand cherokee altitude. The salesman said they guaranteed the fit. When I tried to have them mounted by Firestone Tire, the bolt pattern was wrong and the wheels were 1in wider and would interfere with the shock. I called Carid and got Maria Za who sent me a video of how to measure the bolt pattern. She requested a picture of the measurement and of the label on the wheel box. I complied.
I called the next day and was connected to someone else who would not accept my emailed info and insisted I pay some shop to do an 'official bolt pattern measurement. I said BullS!. They were giving me the run around. I then refuted the charges with Chase, told them the wheels were ready for pickup and expect them to cover return shipment.

Update:
They finally returned some of my money, but even though the screwup was theirs, they charged me $180 for return shipping. They had sent me an RMA and UPS labels but subtracted $180 from the funds to pay for return shipping. Avoid this company. They deserve ZERO stars on the rating. They tried to offer me a $50 gift certificate and asked me to modify or remove the review.

I have been trying to get a return initiated for two weeks. They sent me a bike rack that didn't fit my car. WITH NO KEYS. And an adapter kit with no instructions. AND I CAN'T GET ANYONE TO JUST SEND ME A DANG RETURN LABEL... I can't turn around and sell this thing because it doesn't have keys. Can't open the lock without keys... Can't fit durable crossbars. I AM SO FKING FRUSTRATED! And they are not a BBB member, so that should have been my first indication that this was a crap company. Thirty days is about to be up and I won't be able to return OR sell this $400 piece of crap... I AM SO MAD... I AM SO UPSET... THIS IS DEPLORABLE, spread the word. They sound so nice on the phone if you ever get to anyone, but nothing is ever done.
