“Trailer mirrors”

The mirrors did not stay on the self adhesive foot pads and after you get the mirror in the proper position you have to crank them down really tight and once you want to release the tension you end up using a large screw driver to pry them loose-don't know how long they will last under that condition-second time I have used them-quite pricy-I like them when in use.

Ordered part. Didn't fit. CARiD says it's correct, but it's not. Wanted to return for full refund but was told about restocking fee and shipping fee, basically only getting $10 back on a $60 part that clearly did not fit...never again!

I ordered a beige dashboard cover for my Silverado and received a blue dashboard cover. Strike one. I reported this to customer service, who then sent a replacement... again, the wrong item. Dodge headlights. Strike two.
I have now been waiting for nearly two weeks for a simple return label to return these headlights that CarID shipped in error. CarID will not send the correct dashboard cover until I return the headlights... and the morons at customer service keep giving me the "please allow 24-72 hours for the return to be processed" bit each and every time I contact them. This has been a HUGE runaround. Five weeks after ordering, two incorrect shipments
And still no dashboard cover. I wish I would have read the reviews before I ordered from these fools.

Brett was very helpful to helping me get the right parts for our 2007 lincoln town car. So be sure to talk to a CARID representative. When I ordered a new Grill for this car I didn't realize that emblems would be needed also. We they didn't carry them but found them online. If I would have called I would have realized this sooner and could have had the emblem arrive at the same time. So talk to the salespeople. They are super nice.

I was price shopping a set of struts for my pick up, and not only did car id have the lowest price, but they called me to make sure I was getting the correct parts and to see if I had any questions. Ill definitely be a returning customer!

The only thing this company has going for it is that it has a flashy website. Horrible customer service, waited almost a week for my parts to ship (that were in stock) only to discover there was an "issue with the supplier." NEVER buying anything from this company ever again. I've already placed and received an order from PartsTrain in the time it has taken to go through this ordeal, with their horrible customer service. I am on hold trying to cancel my order, if they give me the runaround and tell me that I cannot return the parts, I will gladly drive to their office in NJ and leave them on the front doorstep. All $400 worth and write it off as a tax donation to the mentally insane.

I want to let consumers know how smooth, polite, and easy it was to purchase my new truck bed mat from CARiD. It was very affordable and great quality. I plan on returning to buy step up tubes to make it easier for the wife to get in. I had the same ones on my last truck and the chrome was still in great shape when I sold the pickup. Thank you CARiD for your honesty. It can be hard to find these days.

Folks, there is regular customer service and outstanding customer service. What the difference you ask me? Well, when the service is motivated by a sale or a reward that's regular. I suppose that drives everyone.
When it's NOT driven by a carrot dangling at the end of a reward stick of sale, that's outstanding service.
I got in touch with Amanda looking for parts for my Audi. Unfortunately the part number for US cars are different from European or Asian spec cars. Even though the sale was not possible she got back to me politely to let me know that my query was unsuccessful. That effort in itself is worth more than 5 stars. I have written to enough sites enquiring and not got a reply which I assume with a great deal of certainty, is because the sale is not likely.
My kudos to Carid and Amanda.
Keep up the great work. The people who do find their auto parts on your site would be more than satisfied to deal with you.

Liars and thieves. I ordered $1200 worth of brake parts on the web site. All items were stated as in stock and would ship in 24-48 hours. Confirmation email said shipping in 8 days. I called them and was informed they do not ship in 24-48 hours. Then I was told that their warehouse didn't have some of the parts and had no restock date. I said "you don't have a warehouse" He said "yes we do" When pressed he said that the manufacturers have warehouses. Most everything they told me was a lie.
They illegally took payment from my credit card and didn't have a single part. (my next complaint step)

Without question the worst customer service I have ever had from a company. I ordered a Vossen wheel and tire package. The package arrived with 2 wheels damaged from improper mounting. 1 wheel had (28) wheel weights on the wheel in order to balance it. It clearly had a defect and should never have been shipped to me. Also the wrong lug nuts that were shipped with my order. After spending 4 days on the phone with Car ID, I was only offered a $75 refund. This was a $5,500 tire and wheel package. Buyers beware Carid.com will not stand behind their products. I ended up having to contact my credit card company in order to get this resolved. Order # *******.

If you can get what you want somewhere else do it! I will not be doing business with Carid again. Waiting for customer service for 5 weeks to resolve a seat cover return due to manufacturer defect. Carid will not authorize return saying for 5 weeks that they are "waiting for response from manufacturer." Still not resolved.

Stay away if you want any kind of purchase support!

I have updated my review on Carid. Greg at Carid reached out and accepted the lights back in exchange for a different set. Ultimately I care that the company was willing to do the right thing. I wish it had not taken negative reviews to prompt the action. I commend Carid and would be willing to give them a second chance on another order. Thank you Greg!

I will NEVER buy from these guys again. There are far better businesses out there to buy parts from that care about the customer unlike carid.com. I bought headlights for my mustang that was in the shop. By the time I got my car back and opened the headlights I was a few weeks past their 30 day return policy.

The lights are brand new and in the box. I asked to exchange for some different different lights on their site and they said no. I told them I am about to place a huge order and they still said no. So... Americanmuscle.com just got an order from me for wheels, tires, headers, high flow cats, springs, and shocks, struts. I will never spend a dime with these losers again. I should have gone to Americanmuscle.com in the first place as they took an item back from me that I no longer needed and was past the return policy. Carid.com sucks!

My customer had a car in the shop I decided to give this place a chance to get the parts. Got the part fast but it was the wrong part. Called customer service they said they were going to send one since it was a mistake on the website. Call back again the nthen they told me I had to send the other 1 back 1st all in the process of explaining this to my customer and having a vehicle stuck on my lift for 2 weeks. Customer did not want to spend money elsewhere and wanted this part this part replaced so I ordered one from Volkswagen but they got impatient and decided to take their business elsewhere. Now I am out a customer and have have a part that I do not need need. Every time I call it's the same thing they're doing something in the text 3 to 5 business days. Time is critical in the automotive industry. If you are on a Is tight schedule and need the right part fast don't buy it here. Would give negative stats if I could..

I ordered a hood and paid for it, the moment I received confirmation I noticed I selected the wrong hood so I contracted them immediately. The person I was in contact with was able to help me with my issue but they had to charge me a fee due to the price difference between the hood which I agreed to and paid immediately. They had informed me that the exchange has been made and I should get the correct hood. 4 days later I contacted them again in the morning just to confirm and I was told that the hood was exchanged. Within a few hours later I got confirmation that my hood shipped I was excited but when I looked at the hood that they shipped it was the wrong one so I immediately contacted them. The lady I spoke to on the phone was nice but unhelpful. She said I have to take and shipment and sign for it, I told her no because that would mean I was agreeing to and accepting the shipment even after I paid more for it. She said I will have to return the hood before they can issue the right one. This will take another 5 to 7 days then I have to wait for them to clear it and then ship out a new one which again will take 5 to 7 days. At this point I am mad.
You billed me more screwed up and want me to wait over 14 days for a hood.
I'll not recommend this place to anyone and this is just my honest opinion.

Order a set of rims and received a set that was not what I ordered. Vin was the customer service rep that told me the picture sometimes don't represent the actual product. Why have a picture of a different product. Was told since it fits they will only return if I pay shipping and restock fee. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. Awful customer service

I would strongly advise anyone against ordering from this website. I ordered parts for my car that were listed on the website as having no delivery charges. So I was surprised to see a delivery charge of over $15 for a part that cost less than $5.

I cancelled my order as soon as I saw the charge, and the Customer Service Department indicated my cancellation was accepted. Despite this, they later shipped the part to me.

And despite what CARiD claims below, I used PayPal to check out. CARiD never communicated to me there would be a delivery charge added to the order. And not just a delivery charge, but an unreasonable one. The items I ordered were small and lightweight and could have been mailed via U.S. Mail. But a $15+ delivery charge for a couple of small bolts that cost less than $5 is not reasonable.

After adding the parts to the cart you put the shipping address. The system not just calculates the shipping cost and tax, it also checks the nearest location all the parts are available at (the closest so that warehouse to get the lowest shipping price, the availability of several items at one location to have the shipment combined for free). When the address is filled in, it shows the subtotals for the item, shipping, tax separately and the grand total. If the total does not work for you, the order is not processed, no fee is hidden, just close the page or get back to the cart.

Only if the grand total works you can proceed with the order and be redirected to the page where the payment information is required.

Also, our cancellation is a two-step process and requires confirmation on the manufacturer's end in order to avoid any further complications. As the normal turnaround time for cancellation is 3-5 business days, we are unable to guarantee cancellation if the product's shipping date is set on the same day or the following one as sometimes products are shipped faster than expected. However, we are always ready to assist and provide the return documents to return the product back for refund or offer compensation if the client will decide to keep the product.

Fast shipping is nice when you get the correct wheels. Unfortunately, not when they send you three wheels with the correct fitment and one with the wrong. Upon trying to return them, which was unbelievably time consuming measuring wheels they had sent, they said I could not because I tried to mount them. So, in short, because of their incompetency, I am forced to eat the cost of the wheel. Customer service is a complete joke. The only thing they know how to say is "that is not a valid request." Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

I was comparing costs on brand name custom seat covers, and stumbled on CARiD.
Found prices about $20 set less than Amazon, but a little unsure about the matching the exact fit to my car. Even though near midnight on East Coast, their online customer service agent Mary walked me through the questions- even followed up with a personal email after I placed my order. Made me feel confident I not only saved $, but can expect expert service.

Order a bull bar for my 2015 Jeep Compass. Upon arrival item was scratched. Went to have item installed, they sent me wrong product( said fits jeep 2013). Carid was not going to refund total for purchase even though it was there fault. Finally got them to admit fault and provide full refund, they tried to pull the wool over my eyes and not give it to me. Company is awful don't order from them

I ordered an engine that arrived in a timely manner. The kit for gaskets was included. However, one gasket was missing and was no longer available locally or online. I called CarID on six separate occasions over one week. Each time I was promised that I would be contacted either by phone or email. I was NEVER contacted by anyone. When I would call back they blamed it on their supplier not getting back to them. But when I called the supplier of the gasket kit they responded almost immediately.

Hard to believe the rating they claim. I found their customer service to be non-responsive and only interested in getting you off the phone.

While writing this they have given me another phone number of a supplier and tasked me with follow-up on the issue. Again, they got me off the phone.

Working with CarID means that your problem is your problem

Bought headlights on their site in the winter, looked them over to make sure they physically looked ok and they did. Wanted to wait until winter was over to have them installed. Took them to a shop, who told me not only was the inside glass of the lights were broken, but that the wiring was all messed up and there was no way anyone would be able to attach light bulbs or install them in the car with that wiring. Called CarID to see about returning them or getting some sort of money back and they told me that there is absolutely nothing they can do and that it's "too bad I didn't know they were broken awhile back." First time buyer for CarID and the last time. So disappointed and upset with the $#*!ty customer service they have.

I recently order a drive shaft coupler from them and it clearly said it comes with all the hardware which are the six bolts and nuts. Cost me $75 and some change. Got the part and called them Thursday when I got the part because there is no nuts and bolts. Had to call them back the following Tuesday because I hadn't heard back from them. So they say the it's was a description error it doesn't come with hardware.so I'm going to return it but they are screwing me on shipping it back so I end up with $59 dollars, I'm out of almost $20 for something that's not my fault, never will I deal with them again.!

So I have tried to order from CarId twice with no luck. Both times the orders were over $1000 which was taking out of my account as soon as I checked out. After waiting weeks with no response, I contacted them to see why my order had not shipped. They stated that I had to verify my checking account first before the items would ship. So you took my money, but need me to verify my checking account before sending the items… OK. I verified my account then received an email stating I would receive another email with shipping and tracking information. 5 days later I received an email stating the items I had ordered were not in stock. It took them 3 weeks to refund my money.

This go around, I placed my order on 23 April, paid in full and also verified my checking account, but my items have still not been shipped. This it the worst customer service I have ever received. This company is trash. Avoid them at all costs.

I ordered a body kit and trunk spoiler for a sportscar. The shipping fee was $79 and the total purchase came to a little over $800.9 days after they took my money, which would have been a binding contract for that amount I am pretty sure, I received an email stating that they needed $286 more for the shipping. Of course I canceled the order. And then waited 4 days to get my money back that they took immediately by the way at the initial purchase. Scam company.

I've never had a more horrible experience with online shopping as I had with CarID. Honestly, I spoke to numerous customer service reps and never have I witnessed such negligence and disregard for customer satisfaction. Either this company does not care about the authority it gives to their customer service specialists in order to satisfy their customers, or the reps really don't care about helping anyone but themselves. And in addition, they were negligent to inform me for the UPS charges I would have to pay because they shipped 3 insignificantly small packages separately and made my pay an addition 80$ to UPS. This entire fiasco cost me $300 for 60$ worth of parts and they basically told me "that sucks". Never purchase anything from them.

From what I see, this order was placed online without the assistance of our associates. At the checkout page the website shows an automatic disclaimer for Canada orders — a pop up window about the fees and taxes applied.

Also, as we are a US-based business, all prices are always shown in US dollars. We do not advertise any currency conversions on the website for any other country, all the prices shown with $ symbols, not CAR or C$ so there should be no confusion.

In regards to providing important and accurate information to our clients, i see that our agent informed you about the international fees on 5/14/2020, the next day order was placed. Again, the disclaimer and information about the international fees was provided on our end via email on 5/15/2020. On 5/19/2020 you were informed about international fees by our representative one more time.

1- It is now more than 3 weeks now instead of "5 days" promised and the part has not been received yet!
2- Extra/Hidden fees (about $120) were not mentioned in the invoice at the time of order!
3- Irresponsible Customers Service!
