“Trailer mirrors”

The mirrors did not stay on the self adhesive foot pads and after you get the mirror in the proper position you have to crank them down really tight and once you want to release the tension you end up using a large screw driver to pry them loose-don't know how long they will last under that condition-second time I have used them-quite pricy-I like them when in use.

Ordered part. Didn't fit. CARiD says it's correct, but it's not. Wanted to return for full refund but was told about restocking fee and shipping fee, basically only getting $10 back on a $60 part that clearly did not fit...never again!

Emailed them about a military discount and an employee helped get the specific product for my vehicle, applied the discount, and sent me the link to the shopping cart. Product came as expected and works great!

Ordered an instrument cluster on January 20th. Was told by the rep who took my order that It would have to come from an outside vendor and it would be shipped within 10 days. After hearing nothing from them, I started sending e-mails. Kevin R., I am still waiting for an answer to any of the ones I sent. Now I find out that I understood wrong, even though the email sent on the day they sucked the money off of my credit card for the part and the core charge said it would be shipped on the 27th. Now the estimated ship date is March 5th. You call customer service and an hour before closing hours, they tell you that they are closed for the day. You have to call as if you are wanting to order a part to get any help. I did get a little help form a customer service supervisor, but also found out that anyone higher than them have no interest in talking to the customers.

I called to receive the 10% discount, they said that they can't apply 10% for items thats already discounted. Then the ref offered me $20 discount but the 20 only covers the shipping…but on their web its free shipping. So the $20 didn't really matter cause the prize on the web is the same price the ref is offering me with the $20 discount.

I ordered a tool box that was listed as having a universal fit. When I received it, it did not fit my truck and had to be returned. It cost me $75.00 to send the product back after they said it had a universal fit.

Called in cause paying shipping for all the products I wanted to order was to expensive, the man I spoke to understood completely what my issue was since I live in Toronto. He got them to deduct quite a bit of the shipping for me.

I ordered a set of headlights as the ones in my truck were hit by a truck. The shipping is very quick (California), however one of the housing had play in them. I was a bit of a lengthy process but finally got the replacement.

I ordered headlights, blinker housings & the blinker housings showed up broken. I paid $250 plus for the parts. Sent them pictures of the broken parts, but they refused to replace them & offered a $50 refund. Do not buy parts from them they are scam artists.

Ordered a part cancelled the order paid with paypal part was 30.00 us and shipping 45.00 now they want 25.00 us for import fees from ups. Even though I cancelled they say its not a guarantee to cancel!
I am now going to file a dispute with paypal! Complete ripoff artists stay away!

The shipping fees are defined by the shipping carrier and cannot be affected by CARiD.

Also, cancellation is a two-step process and requires confirmation on the manufacturer's end in order to avoid any further complications. As the normal turnaround time for cancellation is 3-5 business days, we are unable to guarantee cancellation if the product's shipping date is set on the same day or the following one as sometimes products are shipped faster than expected. I had to return an item that required me to call in to customer service. After being on hold for about 12 minutes, the customer service agent suggested that I just receive a credit on the account toward a future purchase. I refused the offer and then was told that in addition to paying shipping costs for the return, I would have to pay for a $7.50 processing fee. The return labels would take 6-7 days to receive in email and then upon shipping the product back to the retailer, it would take up to 4-8 hours to process. However the refund would not show up on the card for 2-3 days since it has to be further authorized for payment.
All in all, if somene orders a product from this company and wants to return it, they will have been out double shipping charges and also the processing fee. Considering this entity has an overwhelming number of negative reviews, a person is taking a big risk ordering anything from CARID.COM. Caveat emptor!

I had a question about a wheel i was buying and a customer service representative answered my question and even helped me save some money with my purchase. I made the purchase on cyber monday so i think there was a sale going on. I highly recommend buying from car id.

I ordered a 1300. 00 carbon fiber hood for my gto. It was shipped to me by fright to my grandmas house becuase I work all hours. They dropped my hood off on Friday 10-16-3020 without a signature or without her looking at the hood. When I got home from work I opened the hood and there is damage to the hood in more then one spot. I called that day and everyday since then it has been over two weeks now and they continue to blow me off. Told me I was having a hood sent out on Tuesday 10-27-2020 and that I would get a email confirmation I still have not received a email confirmation and they are now telling me it is under review. I asked for a manager to talk to I can never get one on the phone and they say they will call me back and for the third time now and still I do not have a call back. I am going to all your sites and posting this review Amazon, eBay, etc I want a hood with no damage or my money back.the customer service I have got is completely inexcusable.

I am constantly ordering parts from Car ID due to the ease of navigating through various part and timely shipping. The customer service is phenomenal, and the parts always arrive on time, neatly packaged and correct. Whenever somebody asks me where to purchase parts I send them to Car ID.

Ordered a covering dash from Carid on June 16. They took the money from my bank on June 17. Then Carid sent an E-mail stating shipping date for my item was June 26. When I checked on June 29 was told Carid did not put the order in. Extremely poor operating system at Carid. Now they say shipping will be approx. June 10. A month for an item that should have taken no more then 10 days. Obviously had already paid Carid so will wait for dash cover. Had a whole list of items I was going to order from Carid have now started ordering from another vender due to Carids poor customer service. Buying from any other vender online would have been more then twice as fast. Don't recommend you buy from Carid unless you don't care how long it takes to receive your items. Michael

I cant say enough good things about CarID, the quality of parts and accessories, the speed of delivery, the discounts and above all the expert customer service. I had a sale associate help me today named Anna, and she got me the best deal that I wasnt even expecting in a very professional manner. Kudos CarID!

Received the wrong item after a very long delay in shipping. It was listed as in stock but was not. The part didn't wire up correctly like the picture. Customer service wanted to argue with me that it was the right item that the picture was wrong. I told them the picture was exactly the part I needed. I finally gave up and asked for a refund.

I've been trying to find the correct harness to upgrade my factory radio. There are 3 or 4 that keep popping up, but they just didn't seem right, so I chatted with Kristy on CarID. She asked a couple questions that I hadn't even considered, and was able to quickly recommend the product that I needed--which was not even on my radar and had not popped up in any of the searches. Kudos to Kristy for knowing what to ask in order to find the right product! You just saved me a lot of time and grief!

This company will sell you products that don't fit your car then when you call them about they put you on hold for two hours and then don't refund all your money to you. If you liking dealing with shady people then sure buy from them but if you have to return your items you won'the get all your money back

I bought a 31 year old Corvette as a hobby to get it back on the road. There were parts I knew I was going to need so I ordered them early so I'd have them when needed and not have to wait.
I ordered a front "Y" pipe for the exhaust system. The pipes came in with the up-sweeps to the headers about 5° off to the center so I had to cut the pipes so I could rotate them to fit and then use slip-on couplings to reconnect.
I ordered a new fuel sending/pump unit because the old one came out in rusted apart pieces. Neither the new sending unit OR the pump worked. Both were DOA right out of the box.
I ordered a new rubber filler cap for the fuel door, came in wrong size.
I can sorta under stand an occasional bad part, but when three out of three come in as junk, that pretty much says it all. The bad part of it is, I ordered the parts three months ago so they won't even discuss returns.
Avoid this company like a plague. Total garbage.

Carid,

I am disappointed and dissatisfied with the level of customer service I have received from you. I totally doubt the supposed "excellent" reviews you claim you have received.

I have called severally (about 6 times and counting) only to be put on hold for almost 30 mins each time and have been able to speak to a customer service agent on just one occasion. I have sent series of emails trying to get the status of my order and if the shipping address has been changed as requested. I have replied the mail you sent and even confirmed the debit to my card with the back's authorization code and the transaction ID for the debit transaction, yet still no response from you.

I simply want to know what the status of my order is and when it would be delivered to the new address I sent.

I purchased a great Ultimate Protector Window Shade for my 2016 Range Rover. The customer service was the best and I got it quick. A great experience. The shade fit perfect and it came holder to put it in when not being used. It makes a huge difference in the temperature in my Range Rover when it has been in my window. Now wonder why I never used one in the past.

Although I am a customer of another online auto accessories retailer, I found the products for which I was looking at Car ID for an equivalent or lesser cost, with one exception. I requested a price match guarantee from the CSR. He was very patient and professional. Although the price match did not work out in my favor, he reduced the price to a level with which I was comfortable and the whole experience was a positive one.

Honestly, at first i was always buying from auto parts stores like Autozone and Advance Auto Parts, but the frustrating part was not finding the right help, all the parts i needed/need, AND at a good price. With Carid not only did i find good pricing and all the parts i needed/need but the best part is seeing known brands like Tein and other well known performance parts. Not to mention customer service and timing was always on point. I already recommended others to Carid and they're just as satisfied. If your thinking about trying Carid out, please do. You can speak to David, which is the guy i speak too. Have a good one guys and enjoy.
