“Trailer mirrors”

The mirrors did not stay on the self adhesive foot pads and after you get the mirror in the proper position you have to crank them down really tight and once you want to release the tension you end up using a large screw driver to pry them loose-don't know how long they will last under that condition-second time I have used them-quite pricy-I like them when in use.

Ordered part. Didn't fit. CARiD says it's correct, but it's not. Wanted to return for full refund but was told about restocking fee and shipping fee, basically only getting $10 back on a $60 part that clearly did not fit...never again!

I ordered four (4) new Bilstein 5100 shocks for my truck (not cheap shocks). I received 3 Bilstein 5100s and 1 Bilstein 4600. I called CARID customer "service" and was told they would need 3 to 5 business days to issue a return authorization, then I would have to ship it back to them (another 3-5 days) before they would issue a refund, and they would NOT refund my shipping costs.
This would result in a huge delay, that of course they were "sorry" about, but still amazingly…. Unwilling to correct. I explained that I am self-employed and could not wait and I was upset that CARID screwed up and I would be forced to be inconvenienced, and pay shipping for their mistake. I was told they were "Sorry" of course that is meaningless, but not "Sorry" enough to correct this. So, I told them they should instead just send me a return authorization for ALL of them. The return will not cover shipping costs – so ultimately THEIR mistake will cost me ten days of lost time, and $50 in shipping that I do NOT get refunded.
I will not do business with or give my money to, any company that has such LOW REGARD for its customers…and I suggest you find a better company to deal with, maybe one that offers solutions instead of meaningless platitudes and worthless apologies.

Tip for consumers:
Shop elsewhere. They offer worthless apologies, but your inconvenience is of no real concern to them.

I ordered 4 shackles (2 pairs) on 11/20/2020 from CARiD. When we received our order, there were only 2 shackles (1 pair) in the box and not 4 as we had ordered and our order status was marked as completed. After spending some time on the phone with CARiD, I was told the other 2 would be sent to us. After multiple backorder emails, we finally receive our order on 1/28/2021. Unfortunately upon opening the box, we found one of the shackles to be damage without damage to the actual box so it had to be damaged before or upon packaging. I sent an email that day (1/28/2021) to CARiD, including pictures of the damage, notifying them of the damaged part. They had sent a response telling me to call in, but unfortunately it had been routed to my junk folder and I didn't see it until over 30 days later. I called today, but they refuse to file a damage claim because it is now over 30 days. I can understand this if I had not even notified them until after 30 days, but today, Nim from CARiD was even able to pull up the email I had sent and could see the picture I had provided of the damage. I believe an exception should be made in certain circumstance, such as when you have an email showing the customer notified you of damage well within the timeframe, especially when that customer's initial order was short, and they waited through multiple backorder notifications before finally receiving there full order, only to have it show up damaged. First and LAST experience I will have with CARiD. There are many other places I have used and will use in the future for our auto parts. And with a Jeep in addition to our other vehicles, I'm sure we will spend more on upgrades... just doing somewhere else.

I placed an order for a car seat on Feb 11th; it was to ship on the 14th it did not. Contacted them since I did not recurve anything and only then was I told it was back ordered till March 22 so we canceled the order. We were told the order would be canceled within 24-48 hours; it was not. Got an email on Feb 20 saying my order had shipped. Hmmm little off don't you think. Call and asked what was going on and was told we didn't cancel soon enough. I guess 72 hours isn't enough time. Ask for my return label and got an email on Feb 23 saying 24-72 hours. Never got them. And everytime we called it we got "They will be here within 24 hours or They will be here today". They were coming through email mine you. And they still never came. Called the last time and told them I was getting my lawyer only then did i get my return labels. Still waiting on our refund. Customer service was a joke, talk to so many different people durning this time. No one knew why. Only 2 people where nice about it and 1 very rude guy hung up on us because he didn't wa r to deal with our tone. And the mangers didn't care. SAVE YOUR SELF FROM THIS AND ORDER SOMEWHERE ELSE.

On 08/13/2019 I ordered Weather Tec Floor Liners 1st. Row ~ 2nd row ~ and rear cargo liner from Carid for my wifes birthday. They were for a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. When I received them and tried to put them in they did not fit and it was apparent that they were not for that specified vehicle they were not even close. I called Carid this morning 08/16/2019 and told them that I wanted to return them. The woman there told me that she had to verify that it was the wrong items. Meanwhile I'm trying to ease my wifes disappointment. I told her that it didn't matter ~ I knew they were wrong and just wanted a refund. She put me on hold and came back telling me that I would not get the shipping fees back and that they are going to charge me a return fee. The total of my purchase was $336.59 including tax and shipping The woman told me that I would be getting $290.44 back the cost of the goods was $299.85? My next efforts on this will be to the BBB ( Better Business Bureau! THEY ADVERTIZE "EASY RETURNS" Seems like easy score on my hard earned $$ to me. I work hard for what I have and I will not let these people take my hard earned money when I put faith in them and then get treated like this. Believe me this little scam they are pulling is going to cost them much more than the $46.15 they basically stole from me!

First off I'm not one to complain but after 4 months of fighting for what should have been a simple warranty return I've had it.

I had what I thought would be a simple warranty return for a set of rims that were under MFR warranty. CARid was the supplier so they attempted to make things happen. They sent the wrong size rims since the internal paperwork was wrong on their end. I had no idea what width they were. For some reason nobody was able to tell me "hey, you have this width rim..." So, they sent the wrong width and continued to blame me for their INCOMPETENCE. Finally they told me they would do the return but I was responsible to pay the shipping. WHAT? ME PAY FOR THEIR ERROR?! WHAT ABOUT THE $100 I SPENT ALREADY TO SWAP OUT MY RUBBER and another hundred to swap over again! The rubber barely fits on the wheels. This has been ongoing 4 GODDAMN MONTHS. I only received the rims a few weeks ago and have been fighting daily to no avail. If I had people working for me like this I'd be bankrupt!

I feel compelled to write this since nobody I've dealt with seems to have any ability to make things right.

I have been PATIENTLY waiting for a supervisor to call me for days now. Seriously? Take your business elsewhere. This is beyond ridiculous.

Not only did the brake booster have to be modified to fit the truck, then you refused to take back the core for the core refund.

Tip for consumers:
Don't expect them to honor the refund for returning the core

The auto part was used only after the mechanic had to modify it.

Been a week and even with a promise of on this site from CarID; no joy. Still have a $120 bar which is wrong for my can and no way to get a refund.

Tip for consumers:
Don't trust that their people know the products or how they would/wouldn't fit your vehicle. This is a one shot deal, or you're stuck in limbo.

I was buying a roof rack for my car and through the site and prices looked great. Even showed me all the parts to mount the rack. The only items not clear was the length of the crossbars. I call the help line and was told to by the 70" crossbars.

Order arrived quickly but, the crossbars were too long! Replacement policy meant waiting another 1-2wks to get the correct part. Went round and round with the customer service team who had processes to validate who told me what which would add all kinds of time.

End of the 45min call was it would take 3-4 days to just get an RMA. Told them fine do their process and I'll get my money back in a couple of weeks.

REI has same parts in stock at my local store for the same price. Guess who got my money in the end.

In my opinion, this Company does not have easy returns. To make a long story short, we have been trying to return a tool box for two weeks, you can never get through on the phone, they send you an email that they will respond in 24-48 hours and never respond. We have held on the phone for an hour and no one answers, we have spoken to representatives that say they will call you back and never do. When you write a bad review the respond with an email that they will resolve in 24-48 hours and then you never hear from them again and then someone else in the Company sends you the same email and then they never get back with you. We are talking about a tool box we ordered on June 9,2020, first one didn't fit as they indicated it would, ordered another one which didn't arrive till July 31 +/- and it didn't fit either, they said it would for sure, we have been trying to return the item ever since and get a refund. Says easy returns on website, this has not been our experience, first of all when you hit return, you think you will just get a label like amazon and all the others but no you have to call them, and then no one answers the phone or returns your calls if you leave a message. We have dealt with no less than 5 people and none of them so far have done anything. We finally resorted to finding and calling the actual manufacturer and they will take the tool box back directly but we still have the battle of getting our money back. MFG has agreed to help us, they are amazing. CARD ID, as far as I can see seems to be just a middleman, I do not think they actually have the tool box at their location, I think they order and then the manufacture ships directly to you. It would be cheaper to just order from the manufacturer or one of their dealers rather than go through this Company, we where charged a total of $543.82 for the same tool box Home Depot has for $360.00, they charged us $183.82 more than if we had just purchased from Home Depot. Husband need tool box for work but after two months of trying to get the right one from CARID, he went and bought one from Lowe's for $287.00 (ended up with a different type) so now we have spent $830.82, for a tool box that would have cost $360.00 in the first place. NEVER AGAIN, BEWARE.

First order, they took 2-3 months to ship a body kit they kept "promising" would ship. As "retribution" they offered a $25 gift certificate toward a future purchase. When I went to buy floor mats using this gift certificate, the code given didn't work. When I connected through their online chat, the sales representative contacted billing and they said they would honor the certificate on floor mats that said "usually ships within 24 hours" a few days later, still without an order confirmation email, I contacted sales again and they claimed that the order would ship in a week and that billing decided not to honor the gift certificate after all. This is after I was quoted a price, and after I gave my credit card information...

Also, their website claims the floor mats are 20% off; however, they are selling these mats at MSRP, which is fixed by the manufacturer, and they CANNOT change the pricing. They essentially inflate the price, then discount to MSRP to appear as if you are getting a good deal...

After the floor mats I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS with CARID again.

Well on March 25,2012, I called cariD.com about brake rotors and brake pads for my 2004 Honda Civic. I talked to this guy named Joel. I asked if the Hawk Quiet Slot brake rotors come in as a pair or not. He told me that they come in as a pair, because the picture showed 2 brake rotors. He had no doubts about it. So then, an hour after I called, I placed my order. I ordered Hawk Quiet Slow rotors and EBC OEM replacement brake pads. It was not until today, (March 28,2013) when my parts were marked as shipped. DID IT REALLY TAKE 3 DAYS FOR MY ITEMS TO GET PROCESSED?! I received my brake rotors today though, while my brake pads were shipped separately and won't come in for another couple days. I called customer service, waited for around 30 minutes in order to to talk to someone and told them the situation. The representative told me that they were sorry for the poor communication and gave me an excuse that they just started carrying those items. He told me that the rotors do not come in as a pair and said he would be flexible about a price for another rotor. Basically, I would save $20 on the next rotor (no shipping costs and like $5 off the price). I told him no, and I WILL MOST DEFINITELY return my order. Overall, I did NOT like my experience. The communication was very poor. And I'm surprised my parts did not come together. I should have looked at the reviews before I purchased.

I should have read reviews on this company prior to ordering. Shame on me. I ordered 3 items to outfit my Jeep Grand Cherokee. All the items were double checked to be in stock and would ship within a few days. This was critical as I was moving and needed the items to protect my Jeep in an urban environment.

Item 1 - Rear bumper guard. Was delivered on time. I was expecting the other items to follow within a few days. When I unwrapped the shrink wrap, the item was clearly a returned item and was scratched. I didn't have time to return. CARiD gave me $10 back. Hardly a compensation for a used item. But then again, they didn't actually handle the product, the manufacturer shipped it directly to me. They never saw it.

Item 2 - Step Up Bars
I got UPS confirmation within a few days, which was good. 7 days later, items still hadn't actually shipped. Once CARiD was able to figure this out for me, they sent them to an address that I told them I was moving away from. Now I have items being delivered to an address I no longer live at. If I wanted to pay UPS to change the delivery address in mid-shipment, I could pay it.

Item 3 - Front Bumper Bully Bar
This item was in stock and confirmed at time of order and original receipt. A couple of days later, I got an email changing delivery date by 2 months. After finally reach customer service through Chat, I had to order different item and ship to my new address. Delivery of this item was confirmed to be in stock as well, only to have the date change by one week also. Delivery of this item is still pending.

The only thing this site has going for it is the price. The sales team will promise you the world, and then not follow up with anything they say. The customer service depart takes no responsibility for anything. Make sure you double check the follow up emails they send you, that will be changing the delivery dates on you. Writing this review was therapeutic for me, if nothing else.

Bottom Line - Buy your goods elsewhere.

Tip for consumers:
Don't order any item that you are expecting in a timely manner. They rely on drop shipping from manufacturers. Once orders are place, even after they confirmed items were in stock and gave me estimated delivery, the dates all changed, significantly. Good luck actually getting a hold of someone in their customer service department. There are so many customers with complaints, this department is over whelmed with callers and emails. I was actually finally able to get a representative via Chat
