“Trailer mirrors”

The mirrors did not stay on the self adhesive foot pads and after you get the mirror in the proper position you have to crank them down really tight and once you want to release the tension you end up using a large screw driver to pry them loose-don't know how long they will last under that condition-second time I have used them-quite pricy-I like them when in use.

Ordered part. Didn't fit. CARiD says it's correct, but it's not. Wanted to return for full refund but was told about restocking fee and shipping fee, basically only getting $10 back on a $60 part that clearly did not fit...never again!

My wheel order was shipped to my installer as requested. However, the free mounting hardware kit containing the lug nuts failed to ever be shipped. Meanwhile, my vehicle is at the installer to swap tires onto new wheels, but without any hardware. After a 30 minute hold forthe "offshore" customer service on a Thursday that I would need to wait 24-48 hours for approval to ship the missing items by overnight UPS service. I was advised that the weekend did not apply to the 48 hours needed to wait, so the earliest I may get the parts is the following Tuesday. This is unacceptable due to an error on CarID's behalf. Item should have been sent out without question Thursday afternoon. Upon suggestion that I would purchase my own lug nuts reimbursement was denied. Waited patiently for an update on the following Monday and never received any communication. After another 15 minutes on hold I was lied to and told the parts were shipped and they provided a UPS tracking number which happened to be one of the original wheel tracking numbers from a week prior that I already received. Ultimately, after a series of lies the parts finally shipped on Tuesday and were then misrouted by UPS for another day of delays and a vehicle out of service for nearly one week. I originally decided to make my purchase from CarID based on the fitment guarantee for the wheels, providing the install hardware free of cost and hoping for less inconvenience would justify the nearly $70 in shipping costs. Shop around, the other big players in the aftermarket wheel business provide free shipping, but no installation hardware.

Save yourself some grief and take your business elsewhere. This was my first and last experience with CarID. I will give my business to a company that cares about customer satisfaction.

UPDATE: CarId offered a $20 Gift Card as an incentive to 'buy' a better review. My time and effort are worth more than $20. It would still not change the fact that the customer service is more than appalling on all levels. Keep your $20 and buy coffee and donuts for your remedial customer service training class.

Do not use this company. They sent the wrong part and refused to accept a return even though the part was brand new and unused.

Was given the run around about my item. Was told I could do nothing about the delays But there is good news. Don't believe their hype and threats about you can't cancel a custom order because you can. I INSTRUCTED THEM TO CANCEL MY ORDER WHEN THEY TOLD ME THERE WERE DELAYS AND THE ORDER HAD NOT BEEN ASSEMBYLED. (THE KEY IS THAT YOU HAVE ORDERED BY CREDIT CARD) THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT THEY LITIGATE THESES CASES ALL THE TIME AND THEY HAVE A BINDING CONTRACT BECAUSE YOU CONFIRMED THE CONTRACT ON THE PHONE AND VIA EMAIL. BUT A CONTRACT ALSO HAS TO MEET ITS INTENT AND MY CONTRACT WITH THEM WAS TIME SENSITIVE!, IN OTHER WORDS I NEEDED BY THE ORIGINAL DATE WE AGREED TOO. DESPITE THEIR THREATS TO CHARGE ME FOR SHIPPING AND A RETURN SHIPMENT IF I DECIDED TO RETURN THEIR ITEM. I TOLD THEM I SERIOUSLY DOUBTED THAT MASTER CARD WOULD ALLOW THEM TO KEEP THEIR MONEY WITH NO PRODUCT SHIPPED OR RECEIVED. ON THE SAME DAY I FILED A DISPUTE MY ORDER MIRACULOUSLY SHIPPED. I REFUSED THE SHIPMENT AND 15 DAYS LATER I RECEIVED A FULL REFUND.:)
BUT A SIMPLE WAY TO AVOID WHAT I WENT THROUGH IS TO STAY AWAY FROM THESE FOLKS!

TERRIBLE customer service. I very rarely post any reviews, but this one really got to me. Ordered parts over the phone for my vehicle repair (ordering was pleasant), paid extra for expedited shipping and promised a delivery date and that items were in stock. Delivery day came and I checked for my tracking number- there was none. Called the company, talked to an unhelpful rep that relayed there was an issue with the item not being in the manufacturers expected warehouse so they would ship it from a different warehouse, to the anticipated warehouse, and then to me. All in all, the parts would arrive a week later than promised. I had never been notified of any issues with shipping or timing AT ALL. Asked to speak with his supervisor, given attitude. Then talked to Lisette who was uninterested in helping any further. Offered a tiny, almost insulting discount on shipping- which is not what I needed. I needed my parts so I can have a running vehicle and not be down an extra week. Then when I asked to cancel my order, she gave me the runaround, and mind you I was told it had not yet shipped, that if it shipped later today I would have to return the parts for my refund. Apparently the cancellation has to go through an approval process that can take a couple days. What? Terrible policy. I asked to speak with someone above her- she said she is the highest I can speak to. I told her I wanted to speak with someone above her and that I didn't believe she was the highest level of management there was, and she said she is and would not let me speak with anyone else. I told her I would need to contact corporate then, and she said she is at corporate. SO FRUSTRATING. Obviously she is not the only manager at CarID, but I was denied help further. As I was speaking, she then cut me off and asked if there is anything else and as I was talking, she hung up. What a joke. Obviously will not be using them again. Review your policies and figure out how to keep Lisette away from customers.

GOOD LUCK GETTING ANY HELP FROM THIS COMPANY ON INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS OR EVEN FITMENT ISSUES ON PARTS. THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND UNTIL YOU GIVE UP AND RETURN THE PARTS.

I ordered wheels and caliper caps for my car. I spoke on the phone with an agent rep from CariD because I prefer to personalize my experience when I am making rather expensive purchases. I had an idea of what wheels I wanted to purchase and so the agent walked me through the ordering process. I must have asked him 10 times if these wheels would fit my car with a resounding, "YES!" in response. $1,330.00 and 1 week later, I get an email saying, "We're sorry, but the wheels do not fit your vehicle." I call back, because again I prefer to personalize these instances, and got a vague "automobile part salesman" runaround, which basically suggested I needed to fork over an additional $1,010.00, if I wished to fit those rims on my car. (Something along the lines of their website is malfunctioning, and the weight was unsupportive with the size; but I am thinking the entire time, "HOW CAN I HOLD YOU CREDIBLE IF YOU SOLD ME WHEELS THAT DO NOT FIT MY CAR. YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.") At this point I elect to cancel my order and get fully refunded. This cancellation included both the wheels and the callipar caps because I wanted all or nothing, and the rims weren't coming. The confirming cancellation email comes through simultaneous with a notice of shipping email; meaning they cancelled the rims and not the caliper caps! So now I have caliper caps on their way because the agent failed to cancel them, and to add insult to injury, folks, my refund came back $11.50 short of the purchase of the rims and did not include a refund of the caps! Pathetic Experience all the way around.

Friday 12/12/2014 at 8:24 am I placed an order with carid total bill 286.61.
I immediately received an email confirming the order. Both items were listed as in stock and the website states 24-72 hours to ship. At 10:00 am that same day I got another email with estimated ship date of 12/16 for one product and 12/17 for the other. Today 12/19 I called at 10:30 am to check status because their online tracking still showed the same estimated ship dates but no shipping info. I was told that they would have to check with the manufacturer and they would email me the info. What I got was another order confirmation but no shipping info. I called back again. This time I was told the items were on back order and may not be available until the end of January. Now keep two things in mind. One, this was for a Christmas present and although close should have had time to get here in time. Also keep in mind that both of these back ordered items were showing as available on the website and are still showing that way now. I asked if I had been charged already and the lady said no. She said they placed a hold on the money. I told her to cancel the order. I called my bank and found out that they had in fact CHARGED me and it may take 2 days to get it back. I called carid again and asked to speak to a manager. I was placed on hold for 22 minutes and never got to speak to a manager. Needless I am not happy at all with carid. I will be encouraging all of my friends to NEVER order anything from these people and I will be posting this little story on every shopping review site I can find and be reposting and sharing it on Facebook every chance I get until I get my money back. I worked in many sales jobs. Anyone in retail will tell you that a happy customer might tell 2 people about your business. An unhappy customer will tell at least 10. My goal is to make sure that at least ******* people see this and see just how carid handles their business.
