“Trailer mirrors”

The mirrors did not stay on the self adhesive foot pads and after you get the mirror in the proper position you have to crank them down really tight and once you want to release the tension you end up using a large screw driver to pry them loose-don't know how long they will last under that condition-second time I have used them-quite pricy-I like them when in use.

Ordered part. Didn't fit. CARiD says it's correct, but it's not. Wanted to return for full refund but was told about restocking fee and shipping fee, basically only getting $10 back on a $60 part that clearly did not fit...never again!

I'm just reading all these reviews of CARId and wish I had read them before I bought a little "radiator cap" from them. Everyone here is out tons of money on tires, rims, etc. Well, they can't be trusted for itty bitty orders. I ordered a radiator cap and it was $18.04. Within a few hours of ordering (on a Saturday when they aren't shipping), I had to cancel it. I needed to get the radiator cap ASAP locally at O'Reilly's auto parts. They had sent an e-mail saying it was being cancelled and so sorry you need to cancel it. They had the nerve to send me an e-mail asking to do feedback on the lady that sent the e-mail saying it was cancelled and a refund would take 3-5 days.

On Monday, I get an e-mail from UPS saying this item is being delivered on Weds! I called them up on Tuesday to find out WTH is going on. The CSR says the e-mail I received on Saturday is a "return request confirmation" and NOT an actual return. She said if I was to return it once it comes that the actual part price is not $15.99 as it was when ordered. It's something like $7.60 and the shipping is $10.44! Then, there is a restocking fee of $3.50. Did I STILL want a refund or did I want to keep it?

Do we have much choice? It's cheaper for me to keep it and toss it in the garbage or maybe I can sell it on E-Bay. What a SCAM business. Oh, if I keep it... I can get a $10 gift certificate that doesn't expire... so I can order something else and be scammed again!

I'm so sorry for those customers who have lost hundreds of dollars... compared to my piddley $18,04. IDK WHY this business is still allowed to do business. I've not seen one good review about them and apparently if there is a good review... they paid the person to do it. SCAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMERS!

UPDATE: Within on hour of writing this, CARid sent me a refund through PayPal. It said it will take 3-5 days to show up... we'll see if it really does.

I purchased a set of brake pads and rotors on July 17th. THEY TOLD ME THAT I WOULD GET A TRACKING NUMBER AND IT WOULD BE READY TO SHIP OUT BY JULY 31st! SO I WAITED I CALLED THEM ON JULY 31st WHEN I HAVENT RECEIVED A TRACKING NUMBER THEY TOLD ME THAT THE PACKAGE WOULD COME ON THE 3RD OF AUGUST SO I SAID OKAY AND I WAITED TO FIND OUT THEY LIED TO ME TOO BY THEM SELFS SOME MORE TIME SO THEY CONTINUED TO LIE TO ME UNTIL I FLIPPED OUT ON THEM! THEN THE LADY OVER THE PHONE TELLS ME MY PACKAGE WILL BE THERE TOMORROW ON THE 4th. IF THATS OKAY IF I COULD WAIT ONE MORE DAY! I TOLD HER THAT I CANT KEEP WAITING EITHER TELL ME A EXACT DATE OR GIVE ME A REFUND AND SHE PUT ME ON HOLD FOR 30 MINS TO TELL ME THAT THEY TOOK MY PACKAGE AND GAVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE AND THAT I HAVE TO WAIT 2 MONTHS FOR THEM TO RE MAKE MY ROTORS AND BRAKES AND THEN THEY SHIP IT OUT! THAT UNBELIEVABLE I ASKED TO SPEAKER TO CORPORATE OR THE MANAGE SO I CAN GET A REFUND AND THEN SHE LEFT ME ON HOLD FOR A HOLE HOUR THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! MEVER BUYING ANYTHING FOR THEM AGAIN! IF I CANT GIVE THEM NEGATIVE 5 STARS I WOULD!

I used to always look at carid whenever I had an idea of a car I wanted to upgrade. For years! Never had the opportunity to really customize a vehicle more in part i didnt have the right vehicle to suit up. Until this year i purchased my first project car and naturally I went straight to carid for exterior and tires and rims. I get order the tires and rims and wait a month for them to get in that's fine covid i expected delays. I had put them in my garage for safe keeping know when it was time to open them the car was completed. Excited I was just a few days ago to finally finish the process of my car. I unwrap the packaging and that's where my excitement ended. I was shocked the rims and tires were dented scuffed scratched. I couldn't believe it. They neglect of care they had in packaging them ID mind blowing. Common sense would tell you to wrap the rims and protect them mostly for shipping. Not wrap them up tightly rim to rim causing the damage. I would call customer service and wait 40mins to and hour just to speak to a representative just for them to not have any full answers. I'm currently now in the process of getting my full refund. It took 15 mins for them to take my money. But I have to wait 24-72 hours for the claim to go through wait another 2-4 business days for ups to come get them oh and they can provide a true date or time when they would be able to pick up the damaged products. So I basically just have to be in the area. Or have someone home if I'm not working. Get this the man said that I could just leave it on the front porch with a note. PURE COMEDY I live in a well neighborhood but no way in hell would I leave that to chance. Then I got to wait another 10 days for a refund to be sent. I have never seen such inability to have a better system in place for this. I should have read the reviews from ordering and best believe I will from any place now. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I basically have to call everyday just to get some information. I'll buy local for anything like this as well. I just tried to get a piece of that feeling I had being young and wanting to get something from this place. What a way to leave a sour taste in someone's mouth.

If I could rate this company a "0", I would, but 1 star is the lowest I could go.

I ordered a carbon fiber hood from CarID -- BIGGEST mistake I have ever made. On their main page, and every product page they tout "quick and easy" returns, and a 30 day return policy, however, trying to return a product is a NIGHTMARE.

This company is a SCAM.

The hood I received was packaged exceptionally well, and the package undamaged. When opened, the hood appeared to in used condition, and clearly had been mounted on a car. It was severely scratched, the edges were chipped/knicked up, and the vents/screens in the hood were damaged. In addition to that, the are material defects in the hood itself including waves in the carbon fiber, and SEVERE fitment issues -- for example, the hood is tight on the back corners, but there is a 3/4" gap in the middle where you can see right down to the engine. Up by the front, it sits 1/2" higher than the fenders, but can't go any lower because it is already hitting the headlights.

I filed the return claim 5 business days after I received the hood. I have spent over 5 hours on the phone, in chat, and in emails with 6 different people, all in a call center in India, or overseas somewhere -- and none of them understand cars, so they can't comprehend why the issues I have are issues. 4 of the 6 people have given me 4 different responses as to why they are denying the return. The first person asked me to email pics, which I sent almost 20. The second person said they were accepting the return, and asked me to call the 800 number to coordinate -- and then it went down hill... I have received 2 responses with return policy rules that differ drastically from what is listed on their website, 1 person told me the manufacturer denied the claim, however, I talked to the manufacturer, and it seems they never talked to CarID. One supervisor YELLED at me for 5 minutes, implying I was an $#*! for wasting her time with a claim for a defective $700 hood. When I told her it would cost over $1000 for a body shop to fix SOME of the issues, she told me "that is what I should do".

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Purchased a full set of MGP *******SMGPDF - Custom Colors Caliper Covers with MGP Engraving from CARid. The first time they sent the wrong one, on the second time they I tried installing these but then the wheel was hitting the caliper, I went to the website where I submitted the issue I was having on July 13th, I had to call customer service on July 20th due to not getting any responses from CARid. I was able to speak with Cataña who initial was very helpful then she started acting rude. I told the customer service representative that on the description there's nothing that said about aftermarket wheels, this is what the description said 18 or larger here is the description "Toyota 4Runner 2011, Full Set (4) Custom Colors Caliper Covers with MGP Engraving (*******SMGPDF) by MGP®. Fits Models with 18" wheels diameter and larger". The customer service associate told me that because of being aftermarket wheels they were not going to take them back. That they need to be original equipment (wheels), I mentioned again that there was nothing that said that on your post. So now I'm stuck with calipers that don't fit and i cant return them. I did inform customers service associate Cataña that I was going to write a review on how customers are treated and she did not care.

This is by far the poorest company that I have ever dealt with they have more excuses and they have a chain of command for the runaround for consumers
I spent over $3000 on a set of tires and wheels they are a guaranteed fit I receive them and the two back wheels do not fit
First they tried telling me it's the car then after I sent videos and pictures it's the famous excuse oh we have to get a hold of management
I explain to them the wheels are hitting the car by a half an inch and management says if I change the tires one size down there pretty sure it will clear
Then they tell me unfortunately the tires you ordered are not available in that size you will have to send the tires back and we will issue you a new set
At first he wanted me to pay for shipping then I argued with him to tell me why finally they said they would pay for shipping and they would allow me a small credit to have the tires remounted
I have done all of that like a fool without returning the tires having their size installed the tire company laughed at me they said changing the tire one size is not going to make you increase a half an inch clearance
Now I am at the point after almost a month numerous hours on the phone I either do not get a response by email or if someone picks up the phone I get there we have to contact management and unfortunately they're out of the office already
It doesn't matter what time of the day I call so I believe there's no management
Just beware car ID does not stand behind their products in anyway
No I need to spend another $1300 to replace the two back wheels
If you are considering purchasing anything from them all I can say is buyer beware

don't be afraid this company has all the parts you will ever need and they will match the cost of the parts so if you find something you bought for less the will match it

Three weeks ago ordered front driver and passenger window motors for a 97 VW Eurovan Camper. When they arrived they were marked for 93-95 Eurovan. As soon as we saw they were the wrong parts we called and were told we would have to make and send a video to prove they wouldn't fit if we wanted to return the motors. The cost to pay the mechanic to disassemble the door and make the video would exceed the refund and doesn't make a bit of sense since the items are clearly marked as parts for earlier models of the VWs. When I (a woman) balked at the policy the man said that if I wanted any refund or return I better behave and do as told. I couldn't believe they call the guy a customer service agent. Maybe in Saudi Arabia. Anyway I gave him a piece of my mind about how he was speaking to me and hung up. I called back and got a woman who was clearly being told what to say, probably by the man that talked so ugly to me earlier repeating the same ridiculous policy. Their policy is clearly designed to avoid having to refund anyone for anything even if it is their problem. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE! SCAM ALERT!

The original bumper on my pickup truck was aged and pitted, but otherwise undamaged, so I wanted to replace it. I purchased a replacement bumper from CARiD (manufactured by "Replace"). $206 with shipping cost. It arrived in good condition and looked exactly like the original bumper, except that it was lighter and obviously of a thinner material. When I installed it, while tightening the bolt with a hand ratchet, the bumper actually bent. The truck has never been in an accident, and the brackets are completely original and undamaged in any way. So I reached out to CARiD and sent them a picture of the installed bumper. Their initial response was that they would request a return authorization. The next day I received another response saying that they would not take the bumper back because it was damaged by faulty installation. Really? How hard is it to put a bolt through a hole and fasten the nut on the back? How do you mess that up? They offered to send me $20... that is less than 10% of my original cost. When I complained about that response, they changed their story and told me I must have ordered the wrong part. Their website clearly stated that this item was exactly like OE and that it was the correct fit for my vehicle. I also verified the vehicle application and fit of their listed OE number with multiple other retailers. It was the correct part. When I told them this, they replied one more time, this time offering me $30 and a $25 CARiD gift card. When I told them that wasn't going to satisfy me and that I wanted to return the bumper for refund, they failed to respond at all. I am usually not one to complain or do negative reviews, but this item was clearly of inferior quality and CARiD refused to stand behind it. Their website says "Same quality as OE for less" and "Same gauge material as OE". I measured the thickness of the new bumper against the old one using a micrometer... the new bumper is only 66.1% of the thickness of original bumper. I have been working on cars for over 50 years and I have restored three vehicles in my life. I know my way around cars and car parts and I know quality merchandise and satisfactory customer service when I see it... and you are not likely to find either of these things at CARiD. My advice... do not buy "Replace" bumpers and definitely steer clear of CARiD. They sell cheap junk and won't stand behind it.

What is written above was my original review... now for the rest of the story...
After two months of arguing, eighteen email exchanges, two different bumper sent to me (still the same cheap junky bumper) and finally an order to field destroy the last one they sent, plus having to write a whole bunch of very negative reviews on various internet sites, I finally received my refund from CARid.com. Even though they finally made good on this purchase, I would still steer clear of them... when it comes to customer satisfaction, they just don't get it.

First let me say I ordered a tire package and the salesman Frank was fantastic. Or so I thought. I told him I was leaving in a week to visit family for the holidays and if I couldn't get my order in five days I would wait till I got back. He told me it was no problem that my Wheel and tire package would be at my house within 4 days. This was a Friday I thought well seems like a long shot he said they ship FEXDEX and it was a 3-4 day delivery. It would be if they actually leave the warehouse. I get fedex notification the shipping labels have been generated the same day. Monday I check tracking and fin they haven't left the warehouses. I call to say I want the order canceled since they haven't left the warehouse and I won't be home. They tell me they have left even though FEDEX shows they haven't. They tell me they can't cancel the order and if no one is there to receive them and they get sent back I will be charged shipping and restocking fees. I tell them they guaranteed the delivery and they basically told me "Oh well to bad to be you.". They will tell you whatever you need to hear to get you to buy then it's not their problem. They either have your credit card or your financing and you are going to pay for it one way or the other. The ironic thing is I would have paid for expedited shipping if that would have made the difference. They haven't even left the warehouse. I received the tires 2 of the tires yesterday and supposedly 2 will get here today. I bought a package not tires. If the wheels arrive after I am gone it will probably cost me $500 because no one is here to receive them. Wouldn't buy a dog house from them. Frank by the way if you read this I gave that review that was so full of praise right after I purchased the tire "package", should have waited till I received the tires and wheels and TPM sensors and Locks and everything that goes into a "package". I wouldn't give you one star now that I realize how big of a liar you and your company are. Scam artist.

To anyone reading this, I would STRONGLY suggest you do not purchase ANYTHING from CarID. I purchased some after market LED headlights form CarID. After a very extended waiting period to receive my products, it became clear a mistake had been made and the wrong headlights were sent (NBD). I started a return process to exchange the lights with CarID 6 days after receiving the headlights, well within the 30 day warranty, which directly on their site reads "EASY RETURNS" HA, that's a joke! Fast forward to nearly two months later, countless phone calls and emails requesting photos, which I sent photos FIVE separate times per CardID's request, they told me they would not accept a return for exchange because it was outside of the 30 day warranty. That's right, they intentionally dragged their feet with email after email, requesting more and more photos to pull this outside the 30 day time frame. After receipt of the email denying my exchange i tried calling into "customer service" if that's what you want to call it, only to be met with a foreign outsourced call center, and in not so many words told "F you, we're not going to do anything!" Even came from a so called "Supervisor" which I had to request a call back from,
(don't fall for that trick either, they have zero intentions to call back) clearly they never called and personally had to call back into customer service and complain to high hell to speak to a Supervisor, who was beyond rude and bluntly said it didn't matter the records show when I started the process, I cannot do anything for you. Offered me a $50 gift card for $280 headlights and told me to sell the wrong ones locally. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! Plain and simply, you run a very high risk purchasing ANYTHING for CarID. BTW, to date they have done nothing and I am out the $280 I spent on the lights. I cannot express this enough, Take your business and hard earned money ELSEWHERE!

We are really sorry for making the return process complicated for you. Usually, when it comes to fitment issue, we have to follow the Manufacturer's instructions. In some cases pictures or additional proof of the flaw or defect may be necessary to complete the claim. From what I see, the manufacturer reviewed the information you provided and confirmed that since your vehicle has HID/xenon headlights, the purchased part will fit your vehicle.

Absolutely terrible experience. If I can give them negative stars, I would. The wheel and tire team was absolutely horrendous. I placed an order in June and was told my rims and tires will be coming within a month or two. With COVID-19, I understood. However, a month or two became 6 months only to be told that the supplier will no longer be making the rims which is the DIRECT opposite of what the supplier said. I had to go out of my way to contact the supplier directly to match up what CarID told me to see if I was being lied to. CarID told me that the supplier isn't making the rims BUT the supplier told me that they are still being made but an order for my size wasn't created. Essentially, my order wasn't really made to the supplier. The staff was incompetent - not returning emails and being rude on the phone when this was entirely their wrongdoing.

It got to a point where I just accepted that I won't be receiving the rims I wanted so I asked for a refund. They couldn't even be competent enough to get this correct. I received a refund and my refund was off approximately $200 so I had to complain to receive the refund correctly. How do you keep the shipping charge for rims I didn't even receive!? To add more insult to injury, they recalculated, realized something was wrong, and the refund amount is STILL incorrect. Now, I have to call them AGAIN to receive the missing dollars from my refund.

Absolutely the WORST experience I ever had. No wonder they are pretty low in rankings in the auto sector. If you are ever getting rims or tires, make it a mission to NEVER order from CarID. Rude, misleading staff, poor customer service, and poor communication.

These jackasses had to call me 3 times to confirm payment via paypal... wtf. But ok... told me shipped after 3 to 4 days of receiving payment, this was day 7 and no communication whatsoever. Ok so I do a live chat with a dumbass who took 30 minutes to tell me they had to call me to tell me if the order shipped... wow. U can't email me a tracking number? Oh yes because you never shipped it. Eventually i get a call from some other foreign sounding voice (5th call) to tell me item was damaged and he had ALREADY refunded. Without my asking. The auction said you had 3 of the items for sale, what about the other 2? Apparently they were damaged also. And why did you not tell me they were damaged the 1st call? I think my "best offer" was actually too low for them to accept. DONT ACCEPT AN OFFER IF YOU ARE LOSING MONEY! Duh! You couldnt ask to find a dumber and more disorganized company. Forgot to mention, also charged me twice for my purchase and refunded real fast because they were like "oh crap he's already paid". So 1. I paid, 2. Was charged, 3. Refunded, and eventually again 4. Refunded. 4 transactions for no product at all.

But who knows maybe all 3 items were damaged and I was wrong about losing money to a best offer. I feel my opportunity cost of putting my money in a real business was wasted for 2 weeks tied up in useless transactions and you could have called to tell me the product was broken when I placed the order. Actually, don't attempt to be selling broken merchandise. TAKE IT OFF YOUR LISTINGS. Jesus christ it was frustrating dealing with CARid.com ef off. I feel sorry for any unknowing customers that wander into the clusterf*** warehouse these guys must be running.
