“Trailer mirrors”

The mirrors did not stay on the self adhesive foot pads and after you get the mirror in the proper position you have to crank them down really tight and once you want to release the tension you end up using a large screw driver to pry them loose-don't know how long they will last under that condition-second time I have used them-quite pricy-I like them when in use.

Ordered part. Didn't fit. CARiD says it's correct, but it's not. Wanted to return for full refund but was told about restocking fee and shipping fee, basically only getting $10 back on a $60 part that clearly did not fit...never again!

I had purchased custom lights from another company, they leaked and they said they would get some condensation in them, this was more. I contacted Carid purchased a new set for a bit more but they work Great. Very satisfied.

My bed liner kit was delivery by freight and was missing the tailgate piece, the frieght driver himself acknowledged this on the bill of lading. They wanted me to just place an order for the piece separate. I of course said no I am not pay for that piece again when it was supposed to be included. I had to argue with this non-english speaking person for about an hour. She finally said ok the manufacture would send one one. And of course they sent this to me postage due and it was the WRONG part. They send me the hardware kit which I already had. This has been going on for over 3 weeks now and I still don't have the tailgate piece I paid for in the kit! Do not buy from this company!

"Having ordered parts from CARID in the past, I knew I should have received a confirmation email shortly after submitting my order. When I did not receive the confirmation after two days I called the customer service number which connected me with Jena. Jena promptly provided me with my order and shipping details and also identified the typo on my email address which explained why I did not receive the order confirmation. She corrected the error for me and quickly sent the confirmation email to me. Whole process on the phone was only a couple minutes.

Very pleased with the swiftness and professionalism provided by Jena and with CARID as a whole. I will continue to refer anyone ordering car parts to CARID.com."

She would not listen to my problem with the order. She did not listen to what I was asking her to be done. Then after being on the phone for roughly 20 minutes she decided to hang up on me and I was not rude towards her in any way. I need to know whats going on with my order ASAP. This is keeping me from getting my vehicle back on the road. This is not the way to do business and unless this is corrected this will be the last time I do business here. I work with the public everyday and hate to feel this way about a place of business. But at this point I have no choice. There has been NO effort in any kind of way to help me figure out where my order is.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use CarID. Customer service is the worst that I have ever dealt with!

On February 3,2021 I ordered two new rims from them over the phone so I can get an actual estimated time I will receive because I need my car to get to work. They said ship out date is Friday latest and on the order it says that too. Friday comes I call to ask about it they said it will be shipped out today latest and I will receive a tracking number id via email. Okay fine, I wait again. Monday comes I call and they tell me it will be shipped out today or Tuesday latest. NOW ITS TUESDAY, still no tracking ID number. And they said the exact same thing. If they don't know when I'm going to receive just be honest so I can make adjustments. Because I work in the healthcare field and I have so much more difficulty getting to work now because of this constant delay.

I bought a cover for my 2011 Ram Dakota ST via the selection tool on this website. The cover seemed like a good deal pricewise and cost. While the cover fit most of the truck correctly the front does not go over the front bumper as it should and as it does on the rear of the truck. Seems like there's more than enough cover on the rear (a little too much?) while the front does not have enough. CS told me via multiple emails that if I didn't have the original box then they won't do anything about it and I'd also have to pay the shipping cost. They also said something about it's a universal fit and "it is what it is: etc. Whatever! I won't be purchasing anything from this out fit again! It is what it is@!

I purchased a set of tires, and when I received them, they were not in new condition. They were shipped without any wrapping or protection. I contacted customer service, and it is nothing but a run around. I sent 20+ pictures of the tires, and they are still dodging. I am a paying customer. They shipped an item to me that was not in the condition that it was advertised. Very poor business dealings.

I purchased "leather" seat covers from Carid. I was assured that all seating surfaces are leather. They were not and cracked within a couple of years. They were unhelpful with this problem and told me that they did not say they were leather. This was not true. Their customer service after the sale is terrible. Do not buy from them!

***** Update*** Carid reached out to me after this review to try to make this right. While still not happy with the fenders, at least they did the right thing by working with us. Customer service was nice to deal with. Be aware product will need a lot of altering to make them work. If we would have know this, we would not have ordered them. Maybe if you are doing the work yourself, it would be worth it. Might use them again in the future with lots of research.

This was our second order with them. That last one was about a year ago. This order was junk and can't be used. Bumpers were not the worst thing but fenders were not usable. It was over $300 to ship back so we are just out all the money. When we contacted them they said they don't make them to attach to your car. You need a body shop to form them. We were quoted $500 just to get the fenders to be usable. Seeing how the fenders were only $370 that seems stupid that we need to spend $500 to make them usable.

Tip for consumers:
They are located in CA so shipping will be super expensive. If you by multiple parts, they throw them all in the same box just charge you shipping for each item.

Products used:
Just the bumpers. They don't look good but will do the job. Fenders had to go in the trash.

From what I see, the order was placed on your end without the assistance of our agents. The product ordered is advertised as "raw" and due to the material and processes used in production, products will not be a “direct bolt-on.” Duraflex products may need prepping, sanding, shaving, filling gaps, and/or other bodywork. We highly recommend that a professional “custom” shop with fiberglass body kit experience perform the installation. Auto shops experienced in OEM installations may not be experienced in aftermarket fiberglass installations. This disclaimer is shown to each client before purchase and it is impossible to proceed further to checkout page without acknowledgement.

This company is a scam. They take your money and then when you cancel your order they say 3-5 days and then when you call them on the 5th day they decide to contact the manufacturer about getting the refund and then you have to wait another 3-5 business days before it hits your bank. Luckily for me I had the lady from our bank on the phone while I spoke with them and she even heard the guy say 3-5 business days and she also told me if it is not in our account in 3-5 business days then we together will take further actions. I am so thankful for Bank of America. They are an awesome bank but CarID is nothing but a scam. They don't care if you get what you ordered they only care about the money.

Tip for consumers:
Go to your local parts store and use them. It may cost more but if it don’t work then you can get your refund that day and not have to wait 10+days.

Just completed my second purchase and was even easier than the first time. They had to set up my account with a military ID. They kept it on file, which means that I just have to chat with them and they take care of it very quickly and painlessly. Ivette was very helpful, but so far everyone I have dealt with has been more than willing to assist.

Prices seem good, but they don't ship when they say. Ordered a part overnight at 9am, was supposed to be delivered overnight. Paid $50 for expedited shipping and they didn't even get the part to UPS until the next day. Pathetic and won't be ordering from them again.

Febie provided excellent customer service. My son ordered a set of lights for his truck and they didn't work with the grill he has on it. Febie explained the return process and was able to get the proceed started for us. We appreciate the prompt service she provided.

Please be careful buying from them. They will try and make it impossible to return anything. I called and canceled because I read reviews after I purchased and was very skeptical. Anyway called and canceled and the rims and tires were not even at the shop yet and they still charged me a $250 restocking fee which I will be disputing with my cc about. Again please do not buy.

Bad Customer Service.
Shady Shipping Policies.
The part I received was not the brand I ordered, but because they all come from the same factory I was told this was an acceptable replacement.
Could saved 100s on RockAuto or even ordering domestic had I known what Brand I was Actually getting.

Even after paying shipping, duties and taxes, I was still billed by the courier for extra duties on the package. Basically fraud as far as Im concerned.

-Wrong Product Recieved
-Long Wait time for product
-Was charged extra fees upon receiving product.

Overall terrible experience.

Tip for consumers:
When Contacting fedex about the extra charges, I was told its my responsibility to contact the Seller to have the extra charges paid. As a consumer this makes no sense to me. I've already fulfilled by portion of the contract, I paid the seller for the item and for the taxes and shipping. If fedex wants more money, go to the sender. I had no option to but to pay the bill, as CarId refuses to acknowledge that its their responsibility, and FedEx threatened to send the bill to collections.

Order a $9 part & got charged $60 dollars for it... talk about a joke. I genuinely am extremely disappointed because this was supposed to be the cheapest option. I would have ordered it somewhere else if I knew the price was actually subject to a 6x increase.

We understand your frustration but the shipping cost varies on the destination as well as the taxes. After adding the parts to the cart you put the shipping address. The system not just calculates the shipping cost and tax, it also checks the nearest location all the parts are available at (the closest so that warehouse to get the lowest shipping price, the availability of several items at one location to have the shipment combined for free). When the address is filled in, it shows the subtotals for the item, shipping, tax separately and the grand total. If the total does not work for you, the order is not processed, no fee is hidden.

Only if the grand total works you can proceed with order and be redirected to the page where the payment information is required. Taking into account all the diversity of products, warehouses and final shipment locations across the whole US and world this is the most accurate way for us to provide the best competitive prices (of course, if you find the same part for less we match the prices for you).

Absolutely best selection of car and RV accessories I can find on the internet. Using online chat to apply a military discount was remarkably easy... only took a couple of minutes. I have always been able to find exactly what I want and the product info on the webpage makes doing research on the product so much easier. This is the 4th time I have ordered from CARiD and never a problem to date!

Side step not available from manufacture says internet vendor #1, but HEY CARid has 11 in stock! And if I order right now it will ship today! So I ordered the part from CARid. OH we get them from the manufacturer, so our stock is their stock (red flag, gee so your web page lied?). But I say, I already know they are out of stock... CARid says no problem they will ship out, trust us (another huge red flag). After the order I notice the manufacture sells them cheaper, so I ask for a price match. CARid says SORRY no inventory at this vendor, no price match. OK - if they have no inventory for a price match, how are you shipping my order?!?!?! LIARS. I so wanted to believe they had magical powers to ship a part that apparently does not exist I forgot my due diligence.

Ordered some car parts from them and they shipped in damaged. I partially installed a few of the parts before I realized unpacking the rest that some of it was damaged. Before removing from the box I took pictures of the damage(I also took pictures of the box when it arrived which was in pretty bad shape). CARiD was not willing to replace the damaged part. Instead they wanted me to accept a $20 gift card. The part cost me $80.00 dollars to repair. My response to them was as follows:

I was already told that the maximum you can offer is $20... Funny how your line about customer service is really equal to 2% of my spend with you guys on this order. I think your tag at the bottom of the emails should be extended to say "CARiD focuses on the best customer service as long as it doesnt cost us more than $20.00.

Tip for consumers:
Unpack all parts ordered in their entirety and fully inspect them before installing. They say they cannot make partial replacements. If anything is damaged the entire order has to be returned and then replaced. Or was that just an excuse to not have to replace the damaged items??? I would say the latter answer is their M.O.

My recent experience with carid was a great on! The rep I spoke with (Luis) was 2nd to none he answered all my questions and made sure the parts I ordered were correct and would definitely fit my truck. He went above and beyond to insure I was taken care of. More companies would greatly benefit from someone like him! Maybe you should have him as a member of your training team and pay him more for that as well of you don't already!

I had an on-line chat with one of their "specialists" and I specifically asked them if the price included two sheepskin covers, one for the driver and one for the passenger. I was told yes. To be sure I asked the question another way - if I order a quantity of one, am I getting a driver side and passenger seat cover. I was told "yes", they are sold in sets of two. I made sure you get, and save, a transcript of the chat.

You know what happened. When I got the product there was only one in the box. When I contracted them they said a quantity of one meant only one seat cover. When I sent them the chat transcript they did not believe me. After many e-mails they said I could return it for a full refund. I asked if that included the $135 duty I paid. They said no. So I opted to keep the VERY expensive single seat cover to remind me never to buy from them again.

The sheepskin cover I did get is excellent though. Nice in both cold and warm weather.

I found this online company when I was searching for a new (not re-manufactured) replacement for a Chrysler OEM alternator. I was assisted by Beatrice in sales who arranged expedited shipping for me after she double checked me to make sure my order was correct. When I received the alternator I was surprised it was from a great manufacturer I knew well. The alternator came with a two year roadside assistance program! (See photo) I'm very satisfied with every aspect of my dealing with CARiD, Beatrice, and Greg D.
