I received my first purchase today. It is a triple chinoiserie dresser. I paid $650 for an exquisite piece of furniture. It arrived spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. The driver, Rod was very nice. I have 4 other pieces coming and I can hardly wait. I could never have found this without Chairish. I plan on selling some pieces, too. Chairish, you make furniture shopping amazing. While others are waiting 3 or months or more for pressed wood from inexpensive furniture stores, I am looking at my beautiful dresser that came in 2 weeks. I would love to keep you as my own secret furniture place, but that would be selfish. I hope everyone keeps up this kind of quality recycling.
Who charges their customers an additional service fee of $14.00 to purchase merchandise from their platform? WTH. A $14 service fee is added to each purchase to support their platform. How is that my responsibility? The fee should be absorbed by Chairish or seller. Such a rip off!
I recently moved into a new home and Chairish has been my go-to source for adding new items that are unique yet affordable. I've sourced numerous things from Chairish including larger pieces (media console, night stands) to smaller decorative objects. They have a great curated selection of all styles and all of my pieces have arrived in perfect condition.
Not sure what all the negative reviews regarding shipping are for but their 3rd party for shipping has always been super prompt, and very easy to work with.
The shipping can be expensive but you can usually bid a lower price that off sets any of the fees.

Can't believe how many incredible, unique finds on Chairish. Love that I don't need to dig around to find the gems. I had a great buying experience and shipping was super easy. Would recommend to anyone!
Chairish is an absolutely terrible company. We've been attempting to sell through them for over two years and are finally giving up. Dealing with them is nothing but wasted time and energy, resulting in unnecessary business expenses. Buyers are far better off working directly with the person or entity in physical possession of the item for sale.
Purchased a rug from Babylon Rugs on Chairish that came with a large stain on it. Chairish has no buyer protections. I buy a lot of things on other platforms and have never had any issues in these instances where the seller gave an inaccurate description until I got to Chairish. The customer service trying to get them to do anything about it (unsuccessfully) has also been terrible. Avoid this site, use any of the other platforms with better buyer protections or know you may be throwing your money away.
I recently almost bought a bamboo mirrored 8 panel screen on chairish. Blue Moon Antiques and Couture, the seller, blatantly lied about the condition saying it was "excellent" with "no loss of bamboo on any of the panels". Then I paid a shipper to pick them up after purchasing, but my shipper told me they were not in good condition with pieces of bamboo poorly glued on and chunks missing which seller deceptively did not disclose even when I specifically asked. Although chairish gave my money back, they refused to reimburse me for the shipping charge I had to pay to reject screens because of dishonest seller's condition report. Then they let the seller re-list so they could still make money off the sale although they did make her admit condition flaws. This was only 2 of the screens, and who knows what else was wrong with the rest. My shipper recommended after having seen just 2, that I should reject the panels.
These people are so caring, they have great design sense and they want to make their customers happy! You'll find terrific looking things on their site. It makes me want to ditch all my current furniture and start over. I love their photos of pieces that work together.
I sold a piece of furniture on Chairish almost 3 weeks ago. They still have not lined up a shipper. I ask for updates and they just send Me a default email. Same one every time. That states they are working on finding someone to handle the shipment.
I've watched this company evolve and grow, although I've only purchased a handful of items through the website. All were fulfilled professionally and I was very pleased. Lately, I've enjoyed using the feature of looking at items based nearby from local storefront sellers. I've found a few "favorite" stores I didn't know about that I now visit in person. It's a nice win-win-win all around for buyers and sellers. Bravo on the evolving business model!
I have gotten several responses from this company, all placing blame for damages on me. They think that you are blind and illiterate that you can't see the pictures or read the postings for the item when it was for sale. Now they suggest I sell it on their website to RIP off someone else to get a return of my money. Scammers!
Does not stand by their sales promise, items delivered late, damaged and will not take responsibility for damages or shipping. They offer to take item back but charge you the shipping which virtually gives you very little if your money back. Don't trust this company, I wish I hadn't. It cost me 1200. 00. Please consider another company before you choose this one. It is well worth your while to avoid this dishonest compant
Chairish is an auction house that allows a seller to set a reserve but allows the buyer to harass you for $5 bid increments that need to be attended to or the bid process shuts down. "hello? Chairish? Do you want my business of 20%? The Chairish items that are accepted can be capricious too, what? You don't take Vitra Museum miniatures of iconic designer chairs? Really? The shippers are hit and miss. I can do better hiring through Uship than they do, besides they make me liable for all the problems anyway.
Tip for consumers:
I am on the seller side. Chairish makes the process a hassle. They have the marketing punch which is good but the whole update and sell process sends negative flags about their culture. Here is an outrageous delusional moment, if you sell your item somewhere else - they want to be paid 20% anyway. Really Chairish thinks we don't and shouldn't have the agency to sell elsewhere?
I sold a piece 5 1/2 weeks ago and still haven't been paid out.
This website is a joke and their "white glove" shipping is about the slowest process ever. I ship freight via uShip often and would never put up with this sort of thing.
I ordered two lamps from Chairish. They both arrived severely damaged beyond the minor scratches on the listing pictures. When I sent over 20 photos documenting the damage I waited three weeks to hear back and they claimed the lamps were as represented! Really? They were glued together with crazy glue! When I asked to return them they said I would be charged $90 in shipping! For two three pound lamps. Are we shipping to Russia? AWFUL. When I read the other reviews of this site, this seems to be common practice. NEVER AGAIN.
Wife and I went on a shopping binge for mid century furniture... spending literally thousands of dollars... a big mistake. Furniture represented as excellent is anything but... the pics you see are photo shopped and are NOTHING even close as represented. The creative word choices... the Chairish pledge to protect the buyer... the shipping delays and cost... outrageous. We never take the time to write reviews but we made the exception here... DONT buy and DONT DEAL with Chairish or vendors
I have purchased 3 leather sofas through Chairish. Each time I have been exceptionally happy with the quality of the furniture and with the entire process from bidding to the arrival of the piece. They kept me updated regularly via email and everything went smoothly each time. I enjoy looking for things on their website and am grateful that their site is curated, which means I don't have to look through a lot of "junk" to find interesting items. I appreciate that not everyone appears to have had the same experience as I have had, but it's still my "go to" site for cool stuff for my home. Thanks Chairish.
As a seller this site should be avoided. Chairish has no idea what they are doing, they are rude, they charge 20% commission for doing absolutely nothing. They try to tell you how to price your items. You are not allowed to communicate with your buyer at all, in fact you do not know what part of the country the buyer is even in until they provide you with tracking. They attach their name onto your business location. They hold payment until the item is delivered and 48 hours pass after delivery... of course its actually usually a week after delivery and I have had to email and remind them to release my money to me. On large items the white glove shipping is 4-5 weeks... thats over a month of time that YOUR money is sitting in their bank account collecting interest. Their "rules" change as it suits their needs and they take responsibility for nothing. If you feel the need to be screwed at every turn then by all means sell on this site.
Chairish customer service is awful, they take forever to post items, and directions are unclear if not downright confusing which causes major delays. They are awfully particular on postings as well seeing as most of the items I being sold are mostly the same as you can find on any resell site.
I made a reasonable offer and the seller accepted and was very transparent. I received notifications during every step of the process to include the 3rd party shipper. I received my marble coffee table in two weeks and the communication was clear and excellent. The shipping/logistics costs can be a bit steep but I understand that I get what I pay for when it comes to shipping and they did a stand up job. I will definitely order from Chairish in the future.
Tip for consumers:
Always contact the seller and get their information on the shippers they use as well as lead time and remember that EVERYTHING is negotiable.

I purchased a light for my island on Chairish. Received it on a Tuesday, broken. I immediately took pictures and contacted customer service. I received an email back later that day detailing what photos they need. Didn't hear back after sending many photos. By Saturday I emailed back asking for an update and how I can finish settling the matter. Heard back that evening that they need more time to "research" the situation. Here it is over a week later and no word from them. When you call you WILL NOT get through. They make it seem like they have SO MANY calls and they will get back to you, but that remains to be seen. I'd think long and hard about ordering from Chairish. Is it really worth the headache when your expensive item arrives broken and you want a refund? It has seriously been a colossal waste of my time. AND it's still sitting on the floor in my kitchen where I went to unwrap it and realized it was broken. $#*!s.
Tip for consumers:
I don't think it is worth the trouble you may experience if your item arrives damaged. This has been a huge waste of my time and I still have no refund and no functioning light to hang. So I'd think long and hard about purchasing from Chairish.

I read a lot of reviews before we opened our shop and unfortunately reading the bad reviews almost steered us away from Chairish. I am so glad I took a chance and opened a shop. Its only been 4 months and our sales have increased by 42% being on Chairish. When normally in the Summer our business is slow as we run a business in Southwest Florida but because of Chairish we have been extremely profitable this Summer.
Some of these reviews I have a hard time understanding as we have had such amazing support and communication with Chairish. That it almost makes me believe that its just a "few bad apples" to leave bad reviews.
Who knows maybe I will have some issues but I truly believe if you are honest and upfront with your buyers and help them in any way you can then things work out in your favor and in the customers.
Thanks again Chairish
I have tried to reach Chairish for 3 days now with no response. I have emailed them on Facebook - nothing. I have called them since they claim customer service is available 7 days a week. LIE! The item I sold has been delivered since last week - I provided them a receipt of delivery and I have still not heard back from them. After reading all these review- I hope I don't get screwed. I wish I would have read them before.
I purchased a rug which was described as in "excellent" condition. When I received the rug I saw that it was in fact fraying on one side and one end was unbound and had actually lost almost 2 inches from fraying or cutting. I was out of town when the rug arrived and therefore contacted them after their 48 hour return window, so Chairish is telling me there is nothing they can do. They are refusing to have the vendor remedy the situation. The fact that they stand behind their vendors when they have blatantly lied in their listing is unethical. Be very careful when dealing with this company.
We purchased our first piece from Chairish several weeks ago - a side table with a metal bottom and glass top. We paid $85 for the delivery, and had the piece sent to a receiver to deliver to us later since we both work (an additional cost).
However, the piece arrived without a top and Chairish is refusing to compensate us. We've requested a refund of at least the $85 and they offered us $25 our next purchase. This is utterly insufficient - will not be using again.
The reviews on Chairish are extremely poor and rightfully so. I had an awful experience and customer service seems interested in only your money. You will be charged on both the delivery and return of an item such as a carpet, even if the seller misrepresents the condition of the item. The color of the rug I got did not match what was in the online pictures at all. I still had to pay over $500 for the delivery and return for a carpet that I returned. They should offer free shipping and return for higher priced items. People have a right to return an item for little or no cost if it's not what they bought. Go with eBay.
Tip for consumers:
Go to 1stDIBS or eBay first.

They will not accept the return of our PAINTED oriental rug even with photos and a professional rug cleaner's statement that rug can not be cleaned. Buyers beware! Once they have your money they no longer care about protecting the customer. They recently changed their return policy to protect themselves against any issues that may arise. They just want your money - no customer service here.
The seller lied in the item description, and did everything possible to confuse my movers into accepting a damaged item. Upon unwrapping it we found it was damaged and Chairish is unwilling to accept a return or refund us. Total garbage company, AVOID at all costs.
