We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
Purchased 6 tickets for Midway for Saturday showing (grandchildren and adults) tried to get an exchange (everyone couldn't make-had to switch to Sunday; waited for 45 min for agent to assist in change... NEVER happened. Tried live chatting--same thing: 45 min. Wait... nothing. Went to theater on Sunday with printed tickets-would not honor because they were AMC and would not recognize Fandango... out $80... Don't use these guys! If you do- Be CAREFUL... terrible service. Next time, believe I'll go with AMC!
Bought 4 tickets, called before showtime for refund, was told 'system is down, will put note in account& you will be contacted within 48 hrs... still waiting 5 days later. Called customer service 4 times after finally getting thru was on hold 50+ minutes with no resolution. Was told to submit 'proof' via email - screenshot of call to fandango before showtime - because no evidence of my original call. Try to email proof & keep getting error on fandango end. Soooo now I'm told to fax the proof, which I did, but have not received any communication from fandango. Fandango is a joke. They made the initial error, now over had to waste 4+ hours of my time to get a refund. Will never use again. And from the other reviews I've read this is the norm for fandango.
If there is a zero star I will give that. We are not able to use the movie ticket that are booked through Fandango due to age restriction. We contacted Fandango before movie starts but the line was so busy and we were not able to reach them. We got a call back after movie starts and they said that they will not be able to refund as movie has already started. Their customer service totally sucks! Don't ever book your tickets with Fandango
Most businesses try to keep customers happy. Not Fandango! It's owned by Comcast, btw, but operates independently. While Comcast is a huge company and not the best at customer service, Fandango doesn't give a ****. I earned a couple of movie passes issued during COVID when movie theatres were closed. They expired before they re-opened. You'd think they would extend the vouchers? No way! Tried a couple of times and they just slam the door in your face! Don't use them to buy anything- go directly to the movie theatre website or whomever the vendor is.

I bought tickets through Fandango to see a movie. I bought the tickets on Thursday. When I showed up at the theater on Sunday, I discovered that the theater's schedule had changed, and they were no longer showing the movie I had tickets to see.
Fandango did not inform me of the change in any way. They also refused to issue a refund because "the movie has already started and you checked in with the ticket taker." The fact that the movie they sold me tickets to WAS NOT PLAYING did not matter to them.
Basically, they stole $52 from me - $26 for the tickets, and $26 for the snacks we bought before going to the ticket taker. I also wasted 40 minutes of my life getting to the theater, trying to figure out the problem at the theater, and then driving home.
I am very angry about this. I will never use Fandango again, and will discourage others from using them as well. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Terrible customer service. Tried to cancel a movie ticket and only way is "chat", but was in "queue" for over 45 minutes both times I tried, when the "average wait time" shown was never more than 10. I never was able to get in touch with someone prior to the movie. Will never use again! Wish I had checked reviews prior to use. Lesson learned!
I purchased tickets for myself and 2 grandkids. I didn't realize I hit the wrong day. When I checked my email the following day, we had missed the movie we intended to see. I contacted on-line customer service which took over 30 min for someone to send me a message they were finally there, then refused to let us see the movie or give me my money back. Things like this should be illegal. They got my money and we received nothing. It was an honest mistake and I could not afford to purchase more tickets. I'm a senior in a tight fixed income, which I explained to them, but they simply didn't care. I will NEVER use Fandango again and I hope they are forced out of business.
Fandango is a terrible company. They changed the date of my preordered movie tickets without telling me and then wouldn't allow me to exchange or get refunded for my tickets when I stated one ticket holder wouldn't be able to go on the reselected date. I advise everyone who can to stay away from using them!

While purchasing tickets to a movie their website had an error. I ended up getting tickets for the wrong day and time. I contacted their customer service and was told to take a flying leap. Their policy states that if you call them less then 2 hours before the show. Well you lose your money. Oh well if their website was at fault. There is nothing they can do.
WARNING do not use them to buy tickets. This is the worst I have ever been treated. And they stole my money, $30 may not seem a lot but I guess that's what they mean by convienence fee. Horrible horrible company.
I booked online 30 minutes before movie and the tickets printed for a location 1 hour from where we live. They would not refund due to not 2 hours before movie. They would not respond to emails and took several days to get them on the phone after holding forever just to be told no! They are scammers!
Attaching my chat with support for the full story, but i was very very displeased with how my transaction was handled, and not even told if it would be resolved. Chat person left before even asking if I had everything resolved! Absolutely furious, and no guarantee that I will get my money back from something I contacted them before the movie time about. What a rip off! Accidentally booked a movie for a wrong day. No returns no consideration if after movie time! It seems they just get the $6.00 plus fee every time. Would book with the actual theatre not Fandango! Never again!
Took some time to find a number to speak to a person -- not in my timezone - suggested the cancelation was because of protests in my country... nope - not even close. THEN blamed it on "equipment issues"...
If the theater simply cut the show, say that - don't make up $#*!. Regardless, this impacted plans for four families...

Since they did not answer the online service 2 hours before movie I did not get refunded or compensation so I had to pay 4 another 3 tickets. No live rep no emotion... Fabulously awful experience... Never again... Go another route for sure
We have fandango now on our smart tv and I bought a season of an mtv show. To say that the function of this app is trash is an understatement. We have to exit the app completely to watch the next episode because it freezes and then errors out then have to relaunch the app go through the search and type in the entire title of the show because even though I've searched it at least 15 times it's not in a recent search or anything! Will never purchase anything else for them.

I wish I read reviews before using fandango I would have saved a lot of aggravation. When ordering tix was told there was an error twice only to discover both purchases went through. Now after giving up trying to call them after a half hour on hold their website will not complete refund. I wish I could leave negative rating
It's all the title of the review. Movies tend to change quality while you are watching them - switching from HD to blurry. Customer service is poor - I had to wait for 30 minutes before my call was answered, and then they weren't able to help me. Also, they sneakily removed a credit from my account for $50, without warning me.
I will never use this service again. I had a credit due to a canceled show, tried to use it several times over a few months, kept getting error messages, contacted customer service via phone and online chat, waited for over an hour on both, and they were both incredibly useless and rude. I know people write reviews like this all the time but I can't express in words how truly horrible these people were. Fandango. Will. Rip. You. Off.
Ordered a gift card 9/12/14 with a promise of 5-7 business days and it's still not here. The customer support staff would only tell me it was shipped 9/16/14 and they didn't know where it was. So I've trying to get in contact with corporate bam. A friend who works for Fandango haven ot to me. Yes they are located in New York, Orlando, California and Colorado *******243 I finally found corporates number.
This lady was rude and had a bad attitude. First of all we had to wait 30 min for anyone to answer that's ridiculous. She didn't seem concerned at all with the problems we had because your website you need to fix your customer service and website they both suck.
A warning so no one else is conned. Review your receipt thoroughly to ensure all is as you selected. This is the second time my receipt did match what was selected at time of purchase. Of course, according to Fandango, nothing can be done at that point. Just be weary.
I have used Fandango for years and this one time, I accidentally ordered tickets for the wrong day. When I went to the theater on the day intended, I was told that my tickets had expired. So I realized that I had ordered them for the day before. I tried to get the theater to exchange them but since Fandango is a third party, the theater said they could not help me. So I had to purchase some more tickets because my kids were waiting to see the movie. They told me that I would have to contact Fandango directly. Well Fandango did nothing for me. I didn't want my money back but, maybe a credit for some tickets to go another time. I will not be using Fandango anymore. As a matter of fact I have already deleted the app from my phone.
First at all they make you buy the seat at front to make you use their service. What is this an airline? Why this company obligate you to buy seats at front? What will be next best seats will cost you more?. Most like it no many people were using their service so they came out with this idea of selling seats at front. I also cancel my tickets for personal reasons and this Croaks still charged me their"Convenience fees"Best way to make this Croaks go out of business is "Do not use their business" Take the time and go a day before or early to the box and buy them directly.
