We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
This company does not know the value of customer service... I will never buy another Fandango card again! And highly discourage anyone else from doing so. Showed up at wrong movie theatre after being prompted to do so online, thinking I was buying the correct tickets only a half hour before show on VALENTINES DAY, for a movie that has been in theaters for 3 months... Was on hold for over an hour on VD and sent to a supervisor who was suppose to get back to me in 24 hours. 5 days later get an email that nothing can be done. Total Robbery! Something needs to be done!
Terrible customer service. I bought 4 tickets for a movie as we were walking in the theater. The theater sent us in, but to the wrong theater. I got passed around only to eventually see that it was for another theater. I know I clicked on the right one. By the time I waited on hold on the phone and had 2 text sessions shut down before I could type and explanation, the "time had passed" and the theater said I had to buy new tickets from them. I spoke to someone at fandango (after holding forever and missing the start of the film) who said they would pass it to a supervisor but I never heard a word/got an email. Today I followed up and they said it was denied and terminated my chat session. Taking my 3 young children to the movies on a hot Summer day was over $100. I'm so upset. I will avoid using fandango from now on.
Fandango movie tickets customer service representative Kaitlin is very rude and unprofessional. They are a bunch of rip offs. They have no refund policy whether it be tickets or money back. Shame on you and Im a first time customer. I will never ever use fandango again.
They have a rule that they will not refund your money under ANY circumstance if it's past the movie time. They have the ability to pull up your purchase based on your credit card, email, phone number, even the seats. I'm sure they can pull up the fact that you didn't use the tickets. I supplied proof I had to purchase them again at the theater. They will not give you a refund no matter what. I will not use them again, I will just purchase at the theater.
Fandango is the worst site possible for movie tickets. I would gladly pay double to purchase tickets just to not have to deal with the inefficient and terrible customer service they provide. I was double charged for tickets and further they didn't actually reserve seats for me. I was provided with a confirmation number that held no seats. I had to purchase other tickets from another site and thus was given the worst seats in the house. I've been refunded one of the charges but after a month and a half and four phone calls I still have yet to receive the other refund. Use someone else because this site sucks.
We ordered tickets through Fandango but when we got to the theater they would not honor them. I have made several attempts to get a refund but cannot get a person, the chat line is a 22 minute wait, and entering the question on the website multiple times over the past week has not resolved the issue.

Yes, I made the mistake of buying these $25.00 cards for xmas gifts thinking they were cards you could use at the theater. Not only are you going to pay a convenience fee but you'll be be paying allot more for the actual tickets. My senior parents usually pay $13.00 for two tickets. Fandago will charge 19.00 + the Fees! And this is if they even offer tickets for the theater and movie you want to see. I really feel duped. Never Again!
The customer service is the worst I've experienced in years. I've used this website on many occasions without a hitch, but the FIRST TIME I ran into a problem I got zero cooperation from their online chat support (which I came to believe was a bot). Like so many others leaving poor reviews for this thieving website, I was unable to make it to a movie for which I had bought tickets and was told I could receive neither a refund nor a credit b/c of their idiotic 2-hour window for changes.
Do not use this website. It's just as easy to wait in line or stop by the theater the day before. And if you don't make it to the movie, they'll probably even help you exchange your tickets for another showing.
I bought 3 movie ticket $50 bucks, realized they were for the wrong theater and I had to re-buy the 3 tickets at a different theater right away for my friend. Literally right after I realized I bought the first 3 tickets at the wrong theater I tried to return and saw the return policy. However while I understand the 2 hour policy, I had JUST purchased the tickets, and purchased it 4 minutes after the 2 hour policy. Right away I tried calling customer service and waited for over 10 min. To try reaching a customer service operator and explained my situation there was nothing she could do. So I now spent $50 on nothing, not even a credit or exchange. It's like those commercial product scams that have in hidden somewhere in the terms& agreements hoping you won't see it so they can make money off of you.
The worst online service that I ever had. Never ever try to do it again. It did charge me 2 times and don't want to refund me the money... you guys should know how mad I am and how calm I was when I talked to their customer service. I reported the problem on July 4th and then they said they never had the conversation with me... I felt like... omg... this is full of brown solid ( you know what I meant)
This whole operation is bogus! I bought gift cards for my wife and some friends and I kept a few for myself. The first time we used my wife's card, it took quite a while, but I finally was able to redeem it. Of course, the tickets actually cost much more than the face value by the time we added the convenience fee. The next time that I tried to buy tickets, neither of my remaining cards would work. I finally decided to lick my wounds and sacrifice the cost of the cards. When I tried to do a review on Fandango.com, I found that their review system is a bit different. As soon as I selected the first star, all of them lit up and it registered as a high review! Once again... Bogus... stay clear!
I was trying to purchase 10 movie tickets so I put in my Stubs number & credit card info when I discovered it would only let me buy 9 so I changed that number. I didn't realize that it kicked out my Stubs info so it charged me $11 service fee which is waived if you have a Stubs card. I immediately tried to contact them by phone and email but No response. One week later and still no response. Guess I'm out $11 bucks. I have also contacted AMC.
The way fandango customer service works is by sticking to "policy", in which the policy does not help customers in any way. Customer service reps are great at following this policy, so much so that it makes the customer feel violated. Whomever is making this policy needs to be fired immediately, and more care to customers and the human error should be in play. God knows how much the theatre business makes, why not make it a easy process rather then a violating one?
I watch alot of movies with my family and I usually use Fandango's android app to purchase tickets. It's very convenient for me when things go smoothly, but when there is an issue, such as running late or cannot make a movie, it's a pain to get a hold of customer services and get a refund, plus they have that "2 hour" limit where if you're within 2 hours of a movie starting you cannot get a refund.
I had 2 $15 "Gift Cards". I got tickets through their site totaling $20.10. I used both cards and in total, it only took off $13.40. I thought well, it probably only takes off a certain amount per order. Well, I went to use them again today and it said they no longer worked. I called them and after a 40 MINUTE WAIT ON HOLD! Finally got a hold of someone. He told me that the gift cards were "up to $15 per ticket, not actually $15". What a rip off. I will never be using them again, and I will make sure friends, family and acquaintance know of the experience that I have had.
Fandango is great - until it is not. Then, their attitude is "we have your money, you are not getting it back and you are on your own." The Fandango web site clearly said that a movie had reserved seating and also said that the ability to choose seats would come at the end of the purchase process. The purchase process ended without an opportunity to chose seats - first Fandango claimed that their web site did not say that reserved seats were offered. They backed away from that when I sent them the link of the page that showed reserved seating. Next, they claimed that the theater was responsible, not Fandango, for Fandango's web site. Then, they simply said "We are sorry you are frustrated" and clicked off of the support chat link. No one should every use this company!
Long story short... gave blood and received two Fandango passes with a promo code. Went online to redeem my codes and schedule my movie. Due to having to work, had to cancel my tickets, which I did so well in advance of movie start time. Got an email after cancellation to choose either a refund or exchange, but could not submit either one, due to an "issue" with an order! Waited the 24 hours for a response, which never came. Finally contacted customer service who advised because they were "promo'' codes, I couldn't even get an exchange! So after giving blood and receiving two passes, then having to cancel my movie due to having to work, I am penalized? And when I informed the customer service person, Kimberly, that I would tell people about this Fandango practice, she acted like she could care less! Never will I ever buy a Fandango gift card for anyone as a gift ever again, nor will I ever utilize their service!
On Christmas Day (12/25/22) I purchased Avatar 2 tickets through Fandango.
They robbed me of $54.
I paid the fee for tickets and they charged card my credit card. But, I accidentally had an error in my e-mail address so I never received the confirmation e-mail.
Since I did not contact them (hey, it's Christmas Day) prior to the start of the movie,
Their policy says "no refund", so I am out the $54.
I don't know the logic behind losing a Customer for life over a relatively small $$
Amount, but I will never, ever use them or recommend them to anyone.

Fundango is a scam I keep getting the same internal error message when trying to buy tickets on line. It seems they want c/c and billing info to redeem your gift card value, Better off selling it to cash for cards and take 92% cash value.
They charged me for the tickets I requested and never bought the tickets from the theater, ended up paying twice, for something that was their fault, I think we should get together and start a class action suit against them!
Bought some Star Wars tickets and it says you will get a free poster, what they put in the small print is that they are going to charge a fortune to ship it. Seven dollars for the slowest shipping leaves them with a nice profit for this "FREE" poster. What a joke, I'll never understand why companies think this is a good idea, to run a promotion to get new customers and immediately rip them off.
Couldnt make a movie and because it was a few minutes after the movie started they wouldnt give me a credit. I would understand if there was no history in my account, but I use Fandango and Ive never asked for a credit back yet. Very unbending. Does not believe in going the extra mile for its customers. I will be using other apps now.
I purchased 4 tickets online from Fandango. I found out I could have purchased the exact sames seats for about $10 less if I had used AMC's app. This is the first time I've seen Fandango being higher than the actual theater app. No notice, warning, comment from Fandango. Never again. Hope they go the way of Blockbuster Video stores. They ripped people off too.
I have a gift card that my wife and I recieved a little while ago. When we were attempting to use it we kept getting a "there was a problem processing your gift card" error. Lets just say i am still on hold at 1 hour and 47 minutes of waiting. Absolutely horrible.
