We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
I purchased tickets of Fandango and then realized I had gotten it for the wrong date and needed the date changed. To my surprise I was put on wait for 52 mins before an agent replied and then said they can no offer a refund or exchange as I had used a promo code. No where does it mention this and my promocode is valid till April. All that crap about VIP fandango exchange and refund is a lie, they can't change a date just imagine how much crap they must give to customer who want a refund!
When we got to the theater, we realized that the tickets were for the day before. The manager said that it is a common problem with Fandango but she couldn't give us a refund. I waited 45 minutes on live chat just to be told to go talk to the theater manager. I will avoid using them ever again, and you should too. Don't waste your money on this company.
Worst customer service ever! My daughter made a mistake buying tickets online. I contacted customer service through their website. They promised a response within 24 hours. After getting no reply after 4 days, I sent another message. Again, not response, then they declared my problem "SOLVED" (yes, they wrote it in caps).
And, of course, they kept the money. They are horrible. Just horrible. I will never use Fandago again.
Purchased 2 tickets for children & web site did not work properly. After taking my information 5 times the purchase finally went through at the wrong theater, During the reentering of information the address of the theater changed to one 125 miles away & the movie started in 20 minuets. I did not realize it until i received the conformation which was well in there 2 hour non refundable time. I contacted them immediately but the only thing I received is not refundable within 2 hours of movie & would not exchange them with the correct theater. Now I find out they keep your money when you can't make it so why can't they at least exchange the ticket, very poor business model.
I tried to purchase tickets using fandango as I always do as I loved that the convenience fee is waived if using their service. Apparently they told us they came out with a new rule which is nowhere to be found that you have to purchase 4 tickets to have this fee waived. Be better fandango. We will never use you again. Not to mention train your customer service reps. They to didn't know of this rule till today.
Fandango has horrible customer service. I accidentally purchased tickets for the wrong day and realized after the fact. I tried to explain my situation and they did not care nor did they look to work with me on my upcoming purchases.

There is no benefit to creating a "VIP" account. They do not refund you your money if you call anytime after the showtime. Even if the website isn't working and it's after hours to contact someone. They never give "VIP members coupons." Don't waste your money!
Went to use a Fandango $25.00 Gift Card to purchase two movie tickets.
Scratched off the PIN # to activate, and it was BLANK!
Called CS, rep was very nice. (That earns you one star!) They will allegedly send me a PIN by the end of the day. Really of great use if I want to buy my tickets now.
How embarassing that would be if it was a gift from me to someone else. Would NEVER consider buying this as a gift for someone! So stick the convenience fee! Back to traditional gift cards!
I used Fandango to purchase tickets to a movie 30 minutes prior to the movie started. Missed the movie. In most cases companies give your a refund with no problem or at the very least credit/voucher. They did not even respond to my email request for a refund until a weeks after I filed a report on the Better Business Bureau. Still no refund :(
Hard to believe that in 2014 scams like this can exist in plain site. So you buy a gift card thinking it is actually useable, when you find it doesn't work with any theaters good luck getting a refund or any service whatsoever. "Convenience fee" is a joke and clearly they also charge the theaters, which is why none of the good theaters work with them! So ridiculous that a business like this exists today. Oh - and how much time does this really save? You end up spending more money, and more time, since you have to print out some stupid code and then hope that the kid at the theater knows what to do with it. Just go buy a ticket at the theater! It's quicker, cheaper, and hopefully these idiots go out of business.

I asked for a refund on Feb 10 2017 and was told they credited my account on Feb 11th. To this date my bank is telling me it is still pending after 20 days. They have no problem taking your money but good luck getting a refund. Horrible service
There is no customer service what so ever by my mistake I printed out tickets wrong and never went to see the show tried to explain, they would not hear about it. I am cancelling my Fandengo there is many other ways to buy ticket use the app Regal
I got on line to buy movie tickets yesterday after filling out the info and entering my credit card number the system came back and said the purchase didn't go thru. I went to the theater and bought tickets. This morning I got on line and found that Fandango had charged my account. When I called for a refund they said no. These people are crooks with a flawed system. Don't use them.

Fandango states that I could use the card to purchase tickets but not in my state and when I stated it to their rep he said sorry but you might be able to use it when you go travelling.(really) why would they sell the cards in my state and not have the capabilities to honor those cards. I purchased tickets for a movie on the following day, but when I got to the theater my tickets were for the previous day. I know I purchased the right date because I remember it clearly. Secondly, the customer behind me seeing the exact same movie was told the same thing. That they purchased tickets for the day before.?. Sounds like much more than a coincidence. I called fandango and they refused to even provide a credit. Buy your tickets directly from the theater! Fandango will keep your $$ even when it's their mistake! I'll never use fandango again! Buy tickets directly through the movie theater your going to. Fandango does not respect or appreciate its customers. They will not honor mistakes they obviously made and will not refund or credit your money.
I had requested a refund as I had purchased a ticket for the wrong theater. The website said my refund was complete and even showed me a confirmation screen. I learned several days later when I received an email asking for my thoughts on the movie that my refund had not been processed. When I went to their customer service, I had to wait 20-30 minutes each time and was repeatedly disconnected when I went to attach a file. I recommend just buying your ticket in person so you don't have to deal with this poorly programmed website. I've attached photos of the ticket I bought online and the ticket I bought in person after I learned it was the wrong theater. Never use the Fandango website.
I got a gift card to fandango and after convenience fees paying for tickets full price and ect. The grand total price was only $1 less than two tickets at costco price. Our friend and us ended up spending: 15 gift card + 13 dollars cash = $28 for what we could have paid $14 for two costo tickets. RIP OFF!
The worst possible customer service I have ever encountered. I called a number, they didn't speak english, there were chickens in the background. Chickens! Tried three times. Couldn't do anything at all to help me. I don't care what race you are but how do all of these billion dollar corporations have all outsourced help now? What happened to this country?
Fandango, review and fix your agreements with your theaters. There is no reason you cannot make an exception for an honest mistake for a ticket on the wrong date purchased by a 12 year old when the theater is not sold out. I will be cancelling my service and using a competitor.

I went on to buy tickets and it said there was an error. I found out they charged my card $28 and I got no tickets. I've been on hold with customer service and not been able to talk to anyone yet! I am way more than just pissed right now.
The had a big giveaway that just ended. There were supposed to be free codes to enter. They never put any codes on the code site. I e-mailed customer service, and they were not helpful, did not give me a code, and the site was never fixed. They then actually e-mailed me after the giveaway was over to let me know I did no longer need a code. I would never do business with them because of how they behaved with this contest. Advertising that anyone can enter w/o a purchase but then not allowing it? Fraudulent!
I bought tickets online as a VIP and could not use them so I exchanged them for a Fandango credit. Tried to use that credit the next day but it does not apply to my next purchase. No way to apply it. Had to buy two more tickets and then called support. I was on hold for chat support for 45 minutes even though their chat window said it would be 19 minutes when I started holding. They refused to give me a refund even though I explained how both their mobile app and browser app did not work correctly. I said I would do a chargeback on my credit card if I needed to and the guy said that my account would then be suspended because that is against their terms of services. I asked to talk to a manager (in chat online) and he disconnected. Nice.

They have a reward system that after 4 movies you get $5 you use at the theater or to rent. It takes you straight to their rent and doesn't ask you if you want to rent or purchase tickets. When I clicked on the movie I wanted it choose rent. When I called to get it change I had to wait for "corporate" to review and reissue it, 3-5 business days. Got an email back saying they could not refund at this time. I will buy my tickets through someone else from now on. I know it is only $5, but if I earned it I should easily be able to use it where I want.
Yes, you got it. Purchased tickets, only to find out upon arrival at the movie theatre that it was closed. Ask for a refund and got a major run around. And no, they would not issue a refund, telling me to contact the movie theatre. (I did - the Movie Theatre told me to contact... wait for it... Fandango!) Will never use them again. Chat w customer service was well below par.
After being a very good customer for years, I needed a refund and found out how horrible their customer service really is. I attempted the refund online but because there was $5 off on $60 of tickets, it had to he done through customer service. I waited for 40 minutes and was then disconnected. I emailed them with all the relevant info and received a reply several days later telling me they couldn't do a refund through email. I needed to do it online.
At that point, the movie day and time had come and gone. I replied explaining the situation again but got no response. I no longer use Fandango.
