We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
Purchased 1 too many tickets and went to the Fandango site to obtain a refund (before the movie as noted in the terms. It took almost 25 minutes before an on-line support person connected and her demeanor was very short and to the point. Sorry, no refund. No help, no support, and absolutely no care about the situation. The person at the movie ticket office said if we had purchased through them, they would gladly have refunded the extra ticket. I will never use Fandango again!
We used a gift card for $25. After adding the price of two tickets and the "convenience fee", we actually had to add a credit card to cover the remainder for $. 20! What a scam! The price at the theater was $10.50 and the price on fandango was $11.25! So they up charge and then add their fee! Never again!
We accidentally bought tickets to the wrong show, 49 minutes before it started. Since it was less than 2hrs before the show, they said there was nothing they could do to help. Simply offered me the advice to be more careful next time. Thanks Fandango. After such great customer service there's no need to worry about next time.
This is the worst site I've ever dealt with. You have to wait almost an hour for a chat. I finally gave up and called. Not sure why they call it customer "service" -- after waiting more than half an hour, they were no help at all. The movie tickets I bought online for the first time were supposed to be for two days later. Unfortunately, the date defaulted to the same day. I realized it the next morning. When I finally got through, I gave the confirm #. They can tell the tix weren't used yet they refused to give me an exchange. Instead they kept the money and I got nothing in return. $33.00 down the drain I call this daylight robbery and disgusting. I'll never go to this site again!

It took quite a bit of hunting on their website to find a way to contact their customer service. After that, although I was told that the average wait to chat with a representative was 4:02 minutes, I actually waited 20 minutes. When I actually got contact, it felt like I was talking to a robot that merely repeated stock phrases. Not a good experience. It is not worth the convenience fee that is attached to the ticket price.
I do not recommend using this service. It is incredibly difficult if not impossible to get a refund or a credit. Very disappointing, and will be sure to discourage everyone I know that is thinking of using it.
I used Fandango and they declined my transaction 4 times because of an "incorrect zip code". It acceptee on 5th try and when I read my bank statement I got hit for all 5. Taking my family out to a movie wouldve cost 50.00 but instead cost me 250.00. Fandango customer service was very dismissive of my problem and blamed it on my bank but reading other reviews it seems like Im not the only one they have done this too. Fandango is terrible. It blows my mind how easy it is to be stolen from in the digital age.
Our son sent us two tickets by text but we were on a flight home. By the time I turned on my phone the movie had started. I contacted Fandango within an hour but since we had missed the two hour cancellation window we were told we were "out of luck." Will certainly never use this service!
Should be zero stars. I had a promo code that was not used and fandango could not help. Horrible horrible horrible customer service. I even waited for a supervisor who was also no help at all resolving the problem.
I called customer service and they failed to fulfill any of my promises. I called for a refund that has to do something with a promo code but they kept transferring me to the same number I called them by, I never got my refund. They just decided to waste my time on trying to get one.
First time using Fandango since I received a gift card for Christmas. Decided to order using my phone. Forgot to click the date, and bought tickets that were for a movie in 30 minutes. I couldn't even get there in time if I wanted to! Got my confirmation and realized. Got right back on and they wouldn't let me change it since it was within the 2 hour window. I said it was an honest mistake, and they said, "That's unfortunate." Never will ever use them again, plus they charge service fees, which are extremely unnecessary.
I am trying to use a fandango gift card to purchase tickets. I am getting charged a convenience fee for each ticket of $1.50. Bogus! This is a gift card! It is general seating. I don't get to skip a line or reserve a seat. What is my convenience for having to spend time going online, ordering the tickets and then having to stand in line to show them my tickets. Fandango, YOU SUCK!
I would give them a 0 star if I could. I was charged twice for tickets and contacted customer service and it took them over 6 months to respond. Very rude with their response and would not refund me for the tickets they charged me twice for. Never buying from them again. Terrible.
I received a $50 gift card. Succeded in buying two tickets at $19 each after fandango 'fees' for a movie that should have cost $10.50. We asked to have the tickets texted to our phone, which failed, twice. Next day called custoemr service, and was told that money was gone, they showed that our carrier got the text, nothing they could do. This isn't how customer service works-- we didn't use the product, we should get a refund. Fandango is just terrible.
Received a $50 gift card at Xmas. Went to use it and found none of the theaters in my city accept the tickets. Looks like I have to drive 30 miles to find a theater that accepts Fandango. Then I looked at the fees they charge. OMG! I will be telling everyone no to buy a gift card from Fandango.

I recently purchased 4 tickets to a movie through Fandango. After getting to the theater and realizing the tickets had been purchased for the wrong theater (my honest mistake), Fandango would not grant a refund because the error was called in 10 minutes after showtime started.
$50+ dollar later, I had to look at my 6 and 8 year old and tell them we weren't seeing the movie.
When I called Fandango 2x, they kept quoting the "policy" that they won't give refund after showtime.
Again, it was an honest mistake and they should try to help their customer. Super super dissatisfied with their service and feel ripped off. Poor business practice.

Worst customer service in the world. Booked ticket and immediately saw it was for the wrong day. Tried to change right away, but through the refund they keep the processing fee. Called customer service to get that refunded as well and they hid behind, "Our policy, yada, yada, yada". Making a customer happy is what you should be saying FU Fandango. Asked for a supervisor and was on hold for 10 more minutes until they put me in a voicemail. Never use your service again. EVER!
This place is a scam along with movietickets.com they take your money and dont provide the service when you call them they put you hold forever and then when they answered the ladie couldnt help and i asked to speak with a manger then she put me on hold again and when she came back it was here again giving me the same information she just kept repeating herself no help at all. Save yourself the money these places are a scam
Website sucks and isn't clear on what theater you are going to get. Be very careful. Went for an Ultrascreen today and paid for regular seating after i chose the Ultrascreen date and time. Learned the hard way and was not pleased with the outcome from both this company and Marcus Theaters. I am writing a 1 star review, because you can't give a 0

So if you want to wait on the phone for an hour only to get hung up on then waist your time with their horriable customer service. Worst experience ever! Charged me for tickets and never sent them to me aparrently it's a personal problem, I should contact my bank. Fandango your company sucks and I will never patron your website again.
Arrived at the movies, with the tickets I purchased from fandango, the cashier could not confirm them and I was forced to buy another set of tickets, by this time it was already passed the movie showtime, so I had to try and get a refund through the live chat. I was told that since it was already passed showtime I could no longer receive a refund or credit. I will make it my personal goal to advise anyone I know not to use their service.
I was given a Fandango gift card, what a rip off: I payed full price for basic movie tickets plus their "small per-ticket convenience fee" and eventually was left with a
$2.50 balance. The only way I could use the leftover funds was to put more money on the card so I could pay outrageous "convenience fees". NO THANK YOU!
Getting an error message that just says try again later. Well three weeks later and we still have to try again later. Call the service line at 6:52 the first time. Hour on hold we asked for a call back. In bed at 10:55 we got the call back. Called two days later at 6:07, got a call back six hours later after midnight. We will just take our business elsewhere. What a joke
I purchased tickets under my account- the movie did not show in my history before movie time so I could not process a refund and Fandango refuses to refund the purchase though the tickets weren't used! Buy through the actual cinema- they are honest and want your business- don't be fooled by the "refund" policy!
I waited in line for The Last Jedi tickets for an hour, completed the order and then when i selected "complete order" it kicked me after spending $102.84 for my tickets. All this after the site repeatedly crashing over and over and over. This site is absolute garbage and i hate that there's no other options for prep-ordering tickets.
Fandango is horrible. Wasted $5.40 on a convenience fee that did absolutely nothing for me. Thought I would get a ticket to print out to avoid the lines to pay for a ticket. Nope still have to wait in line to get the ticket and now I am out $5.40 which means my popcorn! What a scam
