We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
Wtf is the point of buying a gift card the charges a convenience fee? The site is anything but convenient to use. I bought a 25 dollar git card and have to pay $9 in convenience fees to use it?! Honestly a class action lawsuit should be brought against this company.

Very dissatisfied. It has the link to click to change ticket time since I accidentally hit the wrong day. The problem is it wouldn't allow me to change it. I was on hold for customer service online for 36 minutes. Then I called and was on hold for 48 minutes only to be told that they can't help me because my movie had just started though I was on hold for over an hour. So I'm getting charged for the movie even though I won't be able to see it. I'm really upset and I know based off this experience I would not recommend fandango to anyone. But we will see it 3 to 5 business days after corporate contacts me.
I got 2 gift cards for my parents to use for Christmas presents. My father could not get tix online. Takes hours to get anywhere on the website. Don't waste your time. Don't bother with the KIOSK either. Same problems. Just get your tix the old fashioned way, at the theater!
DO NOT BUY FROM FANDANGO! Just go to the theater's site! I purchased 2 tickets for a show in September and immediately realized I had bought the wrong time. I tried to exchange, but because I used the magic credit of $5, I had to send a email. I called, and sent the email. 6 weeks later, nothing! Then a email stating that I had to request the exchange before the movie time, which I did. Total scam and I'm out 40$
I submitted a customer service concern regarding the VIP club and received no response. I also tried their online AI customer service rep and it was a flop as well. It couldn't answer basic questions and I could not access a real person. I have dumped Fandango because it is useless.

I downloaded the fandango app and put in the movie theater and it said this theater doesn't sell tickets on fandango, I mean what's the point in this app if I can't even buy a movie ticket on the app so I can use it at my local theater. So I believe it's not a good reliable app.
I picked the wrong theater and when I went to get the tickets refunded (you will lose the 'convenience' fee) the site couldn't complete my transaction. I tried this about 5 times from different devices and over the course of a couple of hours so I believe it was intentional. After being on hold waiting for the chat agent for approximately 32 minutes. I had a short exchange where I was told to expect a confirmation email on my refund. Now 30 minutes later I do not see it in either my account or email. The chat agent was polite and efficient, the reason for my review is that the owners and managers of this company feel that this poor level of customer experience is acceptable. The support site says it is Oracle. My company uses it and the IT guys find it hard to keep going. Maybe that is the root issue. No matter, do not use this site if you can avoid it.
On August 25,2023 I attempted to purchase 2 tickets to the Barbie movie. While checking out I received a time out error. Tried a second time and received the same time out error at checkout. At this point I decided to simply buy the tickets in person at the movie theater. It was not until after the movie that I checked my email to see confirmation that the previous two transactions had actually gone through. I called and opened a customer service ticket explaining the situation but it was rejected due to their refund policy which is to not offer one after the movie has started. I understand the policy but it's as if it was an automated response and no one took into consideration my circumstances. As such, I deleted the app and will no longer purchase using Fandango and am writing this review and filing a claim with the BBB.
Thought I would help myself and order our tickets through Fandango. Didn't mind the $4 service fee, but once I got to the theatre, I realized that the tickets I ordered were WRONG. Apparently, the map on Fandago is from an opposite view of what you'd think. Very upset hat I ended up sitting right up to the screen for the money I paid and planned for. Very disappointed.
I purchased a 2 tickets recently to Mary Queen of Scots. The first transaction "errored" out and I didn't get my tickets. I purchased the tickets again. I tried to work with them to get a refund, but they were unwilling because it was after the show. It was close to impossible to connect with them as their phone number is buried in their webpage. Once you call, you get an antiquated email that is impossible to work with because you have to respond between their two lines... my initial email failed after two weeks! Any way, I am never going to buy from Fandango again. It looks as if I am not the only one with this issue of poor customer service as their reviews are all pretty bad!
Their customer service is a joke. My tickets were not available at the time of the movie. I asked for a refund, and they told me it was after the showtime. I couldn't necessarily call them at the time of the movie, since I purchased additional tickets at the theatre when they didn't have the ones from Fandango on record. I wasn't going to miss the movie I'd shown up for.
As previous customers before have stated, they WILL NOT refund you, even when it's their service that has not met the obligations of the service they're supposed to provide. This company has stolen $40 from me, and I would never recommend anyone uses them for purchase of movie tickets ever.
My brother got me a gift card for my birthday, otherwise I never would have used it. Thought I could pay at the theatre, NOPE. I was annoyed, although admittedly it does say it on the fine print on the back of the card. Then, when I ordered tickets online, I was charged a "convenience" fee. Convenient for their bank accounts, I guess. Then, when I went to use the remainder on the gift card a few months later, the website couldn't process it at that time. Very disappointed, and it sucks that the fee they charge cuts into the gift, and now I don't even know if I'll be able to use the remainder of this gift card. I would have liked it if I could use it for concessions, too.
I will never order through Fandango again.
I purchased tickets for one theatre and they issued it from another because the one I wanted was full. I asked for a refund within minutes and it said I would get a refund but they kept $2.70 as a fee even though i repurchased tickets from them immediately after as I had stated in my reeason. Don't use this service it is the worst!
I bought 2 movie tickets at one movie theater, friends told me the wrong one and I tried to refund the tickets to purchase for the other theater through fandango spend over 45 minutes on the chat to cancled the movie, ended up going past the start time of the movie. I finally find the number to call them directly. Then as I explained the situation to the customer service rep, she wants to send me off and say that they are not able to do anything, that I basically have to pay for 2 tickets that I will not be watching, because they are not willing to meet customer needs. I don't recommend using fandango, they will not try and meet your needs as their customer. Basically they get your money and that's it. You're better off buying tickets at the theater.
Everytime you buy a ticket, you have to pay a bunch of service fees. The "service" you get in return is a joke - long wait times over phone call and chat, unhelpful customer service reps, etc. I bought tickets to see a movie and when I arrived, the theater had projector issues so I was unable to see it. When I contacted Fandango about this, they REFUSED TO REFUND me. They kept the service fees!!!! How can they charge me for a product I did not receive?
Bought 2 tickets for Friday night Jumanji II at a movie theater that did not show it. Spent 2 days on Chat to get connected! To a customer service (hahaha) agent that would not refund my tickets, "it was after the show".
I wish I would have know about this scam before even purchasing tickets through here. I usually don't write reviews but I felt it was needed to make others aware that this app/website is a scam. For an hour I tried to figure out how to get a refund on my purchase and there wasn't any clear instructions on how to do it so my showing started and ten minutes after I found a chat through them and it resulted that they couldn't refund me the money and had to contact the manager from the theater so he/she can submit a request to them for credit only. I am extremely upset and disappointed because I feel ripped off and I lost my money. Please, if you're reading this DO NOT use this website or app!
Yesterday, I tried to cancel tickets for a 3:00 p.m. movie. At about 2:15, I went through the confirmation link, which, since I had used a $5 Fandango credit, was the only way to contact someone. However, everytime I tried to chat, it said there was no agent available! I looked and looked for a phone number, but couldn't find one. And, I was sort of panicking since no agent was available to chat. I did send an email, which they replied to today, but they're telling me they won't provide a refund, since I requested it AFTER the movie time. I finally found a phone number today, which wasn't easy, and he kept saying how sorry he was, but wouldn't budge on the refund. So, I'm out the $5 Fandango credit plus $20.54. WHAT A RIP!
I selected a movie for the movie theatre I wanted to go to. Then I picked the movie I wanted to see but it was not playing at the theatre I selected. I purchased my tickets and rushed to the movies to realize I was supposed to go to a different theatre. I called to get a refund and I was on hold for a long time. I selected to have a representative call me and hold my place in line no call! No movie! Three very sad children and nothing. I will never use fandango again and I will tell everyone about my experience and tell everyone I know never to use fandango
On 9/18/23 I wanted to use my 5.00 reward that would be expiring today. Because the website is not in the least friendly and horrible to navigate I had to call Fandango. It took to going and I would not be able to make my movie time because of the distance between to movie theater and my home. I asked for them to extend mu credit for an extra day and they refused. You have to wait forever for customer service and then they just tell you that they can't help you before robotically offering to help you with something else. Forget about getting a refund of fees even when it is their error. If they make an error with the fees you are out of luck unless (maybe) you catch customer service hours before showtime so that they can cancel the whole purchase. Their app is glitchy and times you out for no reason and has problems processing gift cards intermittently.
It is safer to switch to their competition. I will definitely avoid using Fandango now because they are completely unwilling to provide customer service even when it is their glitch and regardless of how much money they already made off you.
I had paid for movie tickets far in advance. I had stopped at a store but my car wouldnt restart. We called Fandango to get a refund but was on hold for 45 minutes. We tried the option of having Fandango call us back but no calls ever came. We tried several times to call them but was left on hold for long wait periods. The movie time came and went and still no contact. Their policy is to provide you a refund if you contact them before the movie starts. Their refund department must consist of one employee to man the phones. They are really good at taking your money though. Fandontusethem or use at your own risk. Im out $36!
I bought late night tickets to a show and realized I could not make the showing and since it was a few minutes after showtime they would not give me a refund or credit my account, and the customer service rep was very rude I wil NEVER use this crappy website again. They basically just took my money and have no plans of giving it back
You can VERY EASILY get scammed by Fandango. If you change your mind on the number of tickets you need, the company will not reimburse you for the tickets not used but previously ordered... and you can't change your order. Use a different company or just buy tickets at the door. Don't make the twenty dollar mistake I did.
Just another unhappy Fandango customer here. Nothing new. No customer service, excuses, changing stories, and no one who cares about the customer. My strong advice is to go the theater to purchase your tickets and DO NOT USE Fandango.
