“Terrible customer service”

We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.

Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!

$#*! you and your customer service. Everyone thinks that Comcast is the devil, but it is indeed your company that fought god and lost. You are all working for the morning star, and most likely drink the blood of babies and club seals for the hell of it. Pun intended. I would rather stub my toe on an end table in the middle of the night without the lights on than deal with your $#*!ty company and service. When I die and eventually end up in hell, I will assume that there will be movie theaters, and the only way to get tickets will be to speak directly to your employees. Gilbert Grape would think that you and your employees have issues that need to be resolved.

Do not partake in the promo scams. I recently spent $60(before tax) at god awful applebees to get 2 tickets for jungle cruise. I uploaded the receipt to the point where you can clearly read every letter of the receipt yet their app refuses to honor the promo. WIll never partake in a promo thru this website and they should be shut down for this god awful scam.

SCAMdango is right! I hate this service is sucks. Unfortunately our movie theater close by uses this service and you have to buy tickets reserve in advance ect. Since school is out from too cold wetter I got tickets for the afternoon show. Now it has turned to whiteout conditions outside when it hasn't snowed for 3 days it's below zero out so how's it snowing. I better show up for the movie now or I loose out money because you have to reserve but and pay for movie tickets ahead. Crap and "convenience fee" wth? It's not convenient ie t to plan ahead and pay for a movie so far ahead. Fandango is awful awful awful.

They have the worst customer service ever. My daughter purchased tickets without my permission and then on the next day tore her ACL in a lacrosse game. I called twice, first on the unauthorized purchase, then on the torn acl, and they refused to refund the purchase. I contacted my credit card company and refused the authorization. Don't know the outcome, bur I can tell you theat Brandy. Is terrible!
Dont ever use them...

I HATE fANDANGO.
I bought a movie ticket that i thought it was straight from cinemark, but i got directed to their website. They gave the wrong ticket, and did not help me get my money back.
Customer service sucked, was rude and not helpful AT ALL.
If I could I would give it ZERO stars.

I'm not ever purchasing anything through here again.

Don't claim to have customer service and have your customer wait on the line for over 30 minutes and never get anyone on the line. This is completely unaccceptable. The policy that you can only stream OR download a rental, which prevents you from downloading if the streaming doesn't work, or to stream if the download is taking hours - is absurd and totally not user friendly. I purchased a 30 day rental and it disappeared from my app after just a couple weeks. Haven't been able to get CS on the line to redeem my PURCHASE. This company is a scam!

The worst service I have ever had. I wait 40 minutes and the customer service rep was rude. Use us based customer service reps. I will never use fandago again. They are very inflexible and charge more than the movies. Stay away from these crooks

Here is the deal, I messed up on the time when I purchased my tickets. When the confirmation message showed up on my phone I caught it right away. I then called up Edwards in Irving to see if they could help since it was there theater I was going to, "absolutely they said" just come down and we will take care of it for you when you get here, I thought, simple enough.
Well I went one step further and went online with Fandredo to see if they could just change the time of the movie, after 12 minutes in cue online it was a script reply company policy terminology 300 word essay the girl sent me, then she said just order more tickets then ask for a refund afterwards. Well after reading the comments below I am glad I did not go that route, thanks everyone!

I recently bought two tickets to see suicide squad. When getting to the theater I was told the movie had already started and they couldn't let anyone else in. I understand that so I asked how I could get my money back and they told me I would have to go through the fandango. It was already really late and I had work in the morning so I decided to call the next day. I was never told or sent a link saying that you had to call them before the showtime to get a refund or exchange. So I thought all was good. Then I call and they take my information only to tell me that I just wasted almost 30 dollars on movie tickets I could not use. So thank you fandango for ruining my one movie date I get this week. I'm defiantly not purchasing any more tickets through fandango, not if this is how they conduct their business.

I tried purchasing tickets after each purchase it said error so I tried again and still said error found out it charge my credit card three times even though it kept saying error after I tried to purchase... You can refund on the website but they don't redund convince fees... After calling customer service and speaking with a very rude woman I will no supposedly get my refund in 5 days... She said well I can redund your card or put it in a fandango gift card!?!?! Total scam to try to put money on their gift card... The lady also said maybe it was a glitch in the system and never happens but after reading other reviews it occurs All the time! Never again

Not only could you not see the convenience fee charges on your phone when you try to buy the tickets, Fandango charged me a dollar more per ticket than the movie theater. On 4 tickets, they charged me over $12 for them to process this order. Then after it was charged and the fees showed up, I called them and they pretty much said," Too bad, we aren't refunding the convenience fee, that's how we make our money." They even agreed you couldn't see the fee on the cell phones and that you had to scroll around to get it to show up. Never again Fandango.

I tried purchasing tickets using my Groupon promo code, but it wouldn't go through. After waiting 20 minutes on hold I finally got to speak to a rep who did nothing. She told me to purchase the tickets at the theater and she'd "bump" the problem up to administration. I told her that the ticket was expiring in one week and I don't go to the movies that often and wanted to use it now. She repeated that she'd "bump" it up to administration, which might take up to one week to solve. I have no hope that anything will be done and I'm sure it will expire on the 18th and I'll be out the money spent. Then I received an email asking how my experience with the rep was and it didn't work either. I was unable to answer any questions. Terrible experience. I will never use Fandango.

I accidentally purchased tickets for the same day, instead of a future date. I called immediately after to try and change the tickets. But they refused to do anything because I did not call 2 hours prior to the start of the show, even though the could see I bought them 42 minutes prior to the show starting. I didn't even get the opportunity to call 2 hours prior, so they basically said tough luck. In essence they stole my 18 dollars, and now me and my daughter aren't going to the movies.

The website is aflickted with error messages. You are luck to even purchase a ticket. In my case they refused to refund me after the system locked me out, so I was forced to use my money through credits. Now I'm unable to use the credits to purchase a movie ticket because they have my account locked to "protect me from fraud". How will I get use of my money. Who knows. Customer service is of no service.

Worst customer service ever! I made a mistake buying tickets online. I contacted customer service through their costumer office website for a refund, I told them that I have to go with my wife to the hospital and will not be able to go to the move. They promised a response and a refund within 7 Day. Finlay I cold the office of customer service and I was told that will be no refund, the situation I have for not attending the move is not so problematic to request a refund.
Do not bay tickets from this side.

I bought tickets to a movie online with pay pal for a movie that was supposed to play in May. Due to Covid 19, they cancelled the movie. I received an email saying I received the refund, but when I went into pay pal, it had been cancelled by them! I am now fighting with them to receive my refund! I will NEVER do business with this place again! They lied and said it had been returned, pay pal told me they cancelled it! Do yourself a favor, dont use them!

I waited on HOLD for over 20 minutes to be transferred to somewhere else and Hold for over 30 more mins with no success. I tied the next day and was on Hold again and finally I was connected with the rudest representative, "Larry" I was calling to let Fundango know their app wasn't working correctly when you try to cancel a show. It made a purchase but kept giving me a system error when trying to cancel. The whole process was unnecessary for just buying tickets. I will use another service for now on. Deleted this app already!

Ripoff Company. Buyer beware!
Their customer service is probably the worst I've ever dealt with. Went to the movie, and arrived on time. The parking was so bad, we couldn't get in. Came home and tried to get the company to refund our money for the tickets. They have a 2 hour window policy in place to refund your tickets. I contacted them outside that window, and stated the reason. The $#*!---- quoted policy to me, and refused to refund my money. Don't deal with these clowns.

Fandango robs money from customers. If you refund due to an honest mistake, you automatically lose 3 dollars the least even if you have valid reason. Calling the customer service will take you 30 mins or so and if you ask forcthe manager because the staff is useless and rude, they will give you another no. To call and you have to wait another 30 mins or so. Will never use the app ever again.

Tried to get a refund via their app but since we had a $5.00 coupon the app couldn't do it. So I want to the cinema to do in person, it wouldn't work or the same reason. I took a few screen shots to send a note later to customer service to prove we tried before the movie and the issues with their $5.00 coupon was giving me. I looked for a phone number on the app and couldn't easily find one. Contacted the lawyer just to have them tell me they weren't going to give us credit. Crappy customer service and crappy overpriced "service". We now have a monthly membership to Cinemark and that is really great. I highly suggest doing the same. Probably save $7 or $8 on every movie we watch plus a decent discount on concessions.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t use these guys, no value add waste of money. Go to the theaters site and buy tickets like Cinemark.

0 Stars would be more accurate here. I'm so frustrated that I purchased tickets to our movie tonight and was charged a hidden "convenience fee" of $4.00 that wasn't disclosed before I sent payment.

2ndly, this company has no phone numbers to call customer support. Only way to reach them is to engage in a "live chat." This way, they don't have to deal with angry customers.

I explained my dissatisfaction to "Jermaine" who basically told me that they have a no-refund policy and that nothing can be done.

This company is an unnecessary function of purchasing movie tickets. They exist only to charge you a fee for what would not be charged at the theater.

This is the most frustrating gift card to ever use and complete wast of money. Their site wasn't working, so took me. 30 minutes finally buy the tickets then they charge you a $7.50 convenience fee to use their gift card on their site? Vey deceptive and money hungry. Will never buy or use fandango again. They need to look at how they do business.

I've never used Fandango before, so iI saw a deal on groupon $13 for $26 for "two" tickets. Well first after fees and everything else 2 movie tickets on Fandango is $41.00 Like, what? I could'd gone directly though AMC and it wouldve been $28-34, I spent $13 groupon + 15 change to cover the rest. Ok? So, whatever, I'll deal with it. I ordered tickets for this Saturday at 4:30 a week ago. Well. My SO proposed. His family is having a to do at his house in celebration for our engagement. I contacted customer service to see if i could go to a different time slot for this movie. Same movie. Same theater. Different time/day ONLY. They would not allow to do this because i bought a groupon. I didnt want to refund anything, just exchange. AND the groupon wouldnt have expired until 12/31/18. I've been going out of my way to let people know how horrible they are. Waste of time and money.

I attempted to use a promo code. That failed. I attempted to chat on my phone with customer service for some hint as to what I was doing wrong. I was informed that I was 6th in line and average wait time was just over a minute. 20 minutes later I was bouncing between being #3 in line and #2 in line. I gave up and tried to chat using a desktop computer. I was 37th in line there and was told the average time was about 12 minutes. Another half hour later someone came online and pretended to help me. This person just parroted the same instructions that my promo code certificate had on the back. After all that time waiting for useless "help" I have to ask myself why we're paying a "Convenience Fee" to buy something that is so easily bought at the theater? If I buy it there I don't have to guess about what time I expect to actually arrive at the theater.
