We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
We purchased two tickets through fandango for a movie at a local theater. When we got to the theater the seats were extremely uncomfortable and not in a good view of the movie screen whatsoever. Do you theater said that if we had purchased through them they wouldn't have refunded our money but because we purchased through Fandango we had to reach out to fandango to get refunded or to exchange the tickets We Waited 40 minutes to be able to chat with somebody on Fandango. They basically said we were out of luck ( for an exchange or a refund-it would not do either). Will never ever use fandango again!
I ordered my tickets an hour before the movie, I had car trouble and couldn't make the show. They offer no exchanges on their website if it isnt 2 hours before the show. So I had to wait til the next day to contact customer service who told me I basically screwed myself buying tickets from their crappy buisness. Never again will I use them and I will also let all my Facebook friends know how terrible they are.
I took my niece to see Kung Furniture Panda 3. The theater we went to was sold out of the show. So before we drove to another thesterling we used fandango to purchase the tickets to make sure we would be fine when we got there. I accidentally purchased tickets for a different movie (Using my phone). I realized as soon as I bought the tickets that it was the wrong the movie. I immediately went and bought the tickets for the correct movie. But when I called in to get refunded for the incorrect tickets they refused to refund me! They can see where I went and bought the correct tickets at the same theater at the same time as the incorrect tickets. And yet they just throw the policy of 2 hours in your face. I didn't purchase these tickets with any hour time frame in the first place! Worst service ever. They rob people who make mistakes through their apps or online! Will never use again!
I'm actually the type to not write reviews in general, but after my experience, this had to be done.
My boyfriend and I bought and reserved seats for the new IT movie. We tried to print out the tickets in the theater, but it wouldn't let us and it said it was already printed. We later found out that two other people had the same seats, and so ours were fake and the employee couldn't even help us since fandango is a 3rd party. We tried calling them and yup, just like everyone else, they put us on hold for 2 hours. This experience was so embarrassing and so disappointing so 1 star is perfect.
I bought tickets for the Black Panther recently and I was offered a "free poster" with $6.95 shipping charges. Not exactly free but my grandson wanted it. I tried multiple times to order it and multiple times I received the same error message. I changed my password and got the error message again. I sent multiple emails and got the same message each time which did not answer my question. I finally talked to a representative at Fandango. After a very long hold she started going through the steps I had done on my own. Again the error message again resetting the password again the error message. Her solution was to try a different device which I had already done before talking to her. I asked if she couldn't just take the information and send the poster and she said no. I am done with Fandango. It's far less stressful and less expensive to buy tickets at the theater. Fandango SUCKS!
I bought tickets to see The Martian last night and granted, I was in a rush and didn't see I had bought tickets to the wrong theater. So I bought the tickets at the theater we ended up at. I contacted Fandango this morning about a refund and she says the time frame for refunds is 2 hours after purchasing. I purchased them at 5pm and the movie was at 7pm so that left me no time and spent $50 for $25 tickets. Again, it may have been my mistake but what's the point of using Fandango with such a bad return policy? Never again.
I won two Fandango movie tickets from World Market. I was to claim them by 1/31/17. I did try to claim them about Jan 25 for a 28th show. Your software had a bug and gave me a message that the code had expired. I called Fandango and got the run around.
I sent a copy of the email as an attachment to someone who answered the phone, got a male manager who said he was named Corey, and had to send him the same attachment.
Then Corey said it had to go to some committee (really for 2, $12.00 tickets) to get okayed. He said it would take three-four days. I called about six days later.
The person on the phone said there was no Corey that she knew of no one who worked there. I asked if she had any record of my call on about Dec 25. No, she had nothing under my name. And of course there was no meeting.
I wrote all the execs at Fandango. None wrote back. Put this letter on Fandango facebook. No one wrote back. It has been a long time since I have experienced such a horrible company.
They have the worst customer service. I purchased two tickets online and wanted to cancel those tickets and buy different one at a different locations. They didn't have any options to cancel online, and when I called I was on hold for over 1 hour, not exagerrating, and didn't get anybody on the line. So, the next day I did the chat service, and they said they couldn't refund my money because it's after show. I had bought add'l tickets at a different locations through them, and that they could see that I couldn't make it to the other Theatre and after I explained this, the lady in chat service said No, as in very rude way. Please stay away from this company. They should be banned. The price is no different than purchasing from actual Theatre. They are a rip off company. Please stay away.
Bought tickets with promo codes only to realize that I worked during show time. They said that because I bought the tickets using promo codes they couldn't help me, at all. I asked if they could at least give me two more promo codes because it was an honest mistake only to get another no.
FK Fandango! I ordered tickets for a late night with my wife. A car wrecked with a roll over in front of our dead end street and we couldn't leave for the movie. These non empathetic people wouldn't refund or reschedule us for another date, end of story. I will NEVER use or recommend this ticket company to anyone of my friends, family, or CUSTOMERS ever again. I will spread the word thoroughly!
Tried to order gift cards, but couldn't find any information all the way through the process as to what their service fee would be. Decided not to continue the purchase. From what I could gather from the fine print, their fee (how ever much it might be) would be deducted from the value of the gift card. No Thanks!

The worst experience ever. Got a fandango gift card for xmas. Tried to buy tickets for an amc theater, didn't know that you had to change the url from express to redvines but first had to call fandango to obtain these instructions. Oh i forgot that you had to go to faq to learn the code for amc was 769. Still couldn't buy tickets. Called fandango and after a 25 minute wait i spoke with a very pleasant lady who told me that where the website asks for the card code you actually have to put the claim code. NEVER AGAIN. This movie better be good
You can call and they immediately put you on hold. They say 5mins. Good luck. It's usually about an hour. And when they do get to you, they can't help you regarding your purchase. They can't refund, they can't credit, the only thing they can do is apologize. Worst. Customer. Service. Ever.
Tried to buy two tickets and was charged for four. Tried immediately to correct online and by phone. On hold for 51 minutes! Literally! Then told I WAITED too long to seek refund/correction! Held online for 40 more minutes to speak to supervisor and missed the movie. Still do not have refund.

I tried to purchase tickets on Fandango when I could not get to the last page to get conf. No. Or tell how to send them. I tried going back in and could not access site. I checked my e-mail but nothing from Fandango. I went and purchased tickets at theatre. Much later I received an e-mail of confirmation after I returned from theatre. I asked for a refund and was refused them blaming my internet. I told them they had lost a customer which did not concern them. I wish I had looked at this site first.
Unfortunately I was new to fandango when I purchased some tickets. I picked a showtime I thought I could make it to. I wasnt worried because I seen you could change your chosen showtime if not. Dinner ran late so we missed our showtime. When I went to change it to a later show it told me I couldn't because the original movie I picked already started. I had no idea that was a rule. I politely contacted fandango to see if they could overlook it this one time because I spent alot of money for something i never used. They did NOTHING for me. I understand that's there policy but a good company would have done something to help solve this problem. It was an honest mistake.
I had to take my husband to the hospital and it was the day before when we planned to go to movie. I called 12 times and finally got up at 6:00am and got through. The lady was rude and obnoxious and would not refund my money. They steal your money and have horrible customer service!
Purchased 2 tickets in FTW, TX, in Oct 2015. Went to the Tavern Ridgmar and the tickets were for Tavern 7th street. I had to pay again at the site to watch the movie. I asked Fandango if I could exchange for another selection and they said no. I just blew $24.50 on nothing. I will never use this site again. I will just take my chances of a sell out at the location. It is sad to treat people that way. Fandango won $24.50, but lost much more in the future. For reference, confirmation *******.
Have tried several times using several different computers and browsers and each time I click on any Movie Tavern showtime, I am placed on the Fandango home page. There are tickets available for the showtimes that I've clicked on.
Poor choice for Movie Tavern to revert to a known problematic 3rd party to process their tickets.
Ticket purchases for all other theaters work as expected.
I used Fandango to purchase tickets to a movie because I had a coupon code for $5 off. My total showed the tickets plus the "convenience fee" minus the $5 coupon. I purchased the tickets but when I received my emailed receipt, the $5 had not been subtracted. I didn't have time to call customer service, so I emailed them instead. I didn't receive a response for over 48 hours. By this time, I had already used the tickets. I was told that they couldn't credit a completed order and they couldn't give me a refund because I had already used the tickets. They refused to resolve the issue. Their customer service is a joke and they are a bunch of crooks. Do not use this company under any circumstances!
Purchased tickets online. Entered the gift card number and saw the discount! I then proceeded to pay for the balance. All was good until l checked my account later that day and saw that the gift card never applied! I called customer service and they said that there was nothing that they could do for me. They would not credit me the gift card because I already used the tickets. I guess shame on me for not checking my account before heading off to the movies, but shame on the Fandago system for not working.
Used the service through Flixter rather than buying tickets directly from the theater... unfortunately we couldn't make the movie and they refused to give me a credit or refund. Also waited forever to get ahold of a customer service rep.
I ordered tickets for my bday and never received the conformation. I was told to download the app and to sign in as a guest to see if the order went through. So that's what I did. It showed that I had no tickets and no tickets were ever ordered.
But my card had a pending charge for them when I looked. So I asked in the chat room what more I could do and they reassured me that if the tickets weren't on my app the charge would not go though. This was all before the movie started! Well the charge went through and now I'm being told they wont refunded my money because I didn't cancel before the movie. There is no history in my account of me receiving tickets so I asked them how they can charge me. I was told they sent the conformation to an invalid email and there is nothing more they can do since movie has already played. This was the first time I used Fandango and now I'm out $122.30 for tickets I never received and a movie I never saw. So sad never again!

I purchased a matinee ticket for a theatre in another state from where I live as I was on a road trip and planning down time. When I arrived at the theatre it was closed and the first show time was that evening. When I returned home from my trip I contacted Fandango for a refund. They refused as my request wasn't made before the movie time. How would I know I needed a refund as the movie time didn't exist until the movie time arrived. Totally their mistake for selling me a ticket for a showtime that didn't exist. Completely dishonest and corrupt company. Next stop: Better Business Bureau
