We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
I tried to buy a movie collection off of their website and was met with an error message. I tried to contact customer support via email and waited the full 72 hours they claim to respond in. No response. I sent another email and have yet to receive a response. In the mean time I tried contacting support through the live chat service, and though it said my estimated wait time was 2:52, I was sitting there for about 10 minutes. Its as if no one is even manning customer support at all.
I waited 25 minutes for customer service chat that sucked. I was typing my messages and the service person got on like every minute and said "are you there?" Like it takes a while to describe a situation. Very rude, very unhelpful, hate fandango.
Worst customer service I've ever had! Tried to use fandango to order Star Wars ticket. Ordered them for the wrong day (honest mistake) tired to exchange my tickets. Tried to call customer service and was told there were too many calls, so I would up waiting for three hours on hold to try and fix my mistake. I was told I'm out of tickets because I didn't catch my error in enough time. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they'd email me when they had time.
A couple of years ago I was given a Fandango gift card, what a rip off: I payed a premium price for basic movie tickets (fees added) was left with a few dollars balance after one use at my local theater. The only way I could use the leftover $$ was to put more money on the card so I could pay outrageous prices. No thank you
I wanted to buy two tickets for a dollar theater, I clicked add two tickets at $1.00 each, the total said $2.00. I added my credit card information and then clicked submit order, scrolled down the page about an inch and saw that at the last second they tacked on a $2.70 service charge... ON A $2 PURCHASE. Seriously worst company ever.
The movie I needed a refund for was at 820 PM, I finally was able to speak to them after being on hold for 2 hours and being kicked off the online queue 3 times and left without a call back at 1233 PM. I was told they would need to send my refund request to corporate. I was emailed a response by the corporate the next morning denying my refund with the reason that it was past showtime so they could not give me one. This is a terrible company, I have emailed them back with no response other than I could go speak to the theater manager and have him call to allow fandango to release the funds. Terrible, terrible, terrible! This company basically stole 100 dollars from me, never ever use this service!
I received a 25 dollar fandango gift card as a gift. I went to use it on the website and it kept giving me an "internal error" after I hit complete my purchase. I tried again but the gift card amount was drained. I contacted fandango and they said it would take 3-5 days to figure out what happened! BS it is class action lawsuit time for these criminals.
My movie was cancelled because of a power blackout. I contacted Fandango to get a refund and got a stock negative response about not offering refunds after movie times. They obviously could not be bothered to contact the theater to verify what happened. Normally if I buy a service through a third party in exchange I expect extra service, but in this case I got less. Really not acceptable.
I bought two 3D tickets to Spider-Man thru Fandango $28. When I got to theater the projector was broken. I was told to get a refund from fandango. Fandango is impossible to contact. Was on chat for more than an hour and then it froze. Was on phone for more than an hour and gave up. Tried customer service - received ridiculous circular emails. They are the worst. Avoid headaches and do not use fandango. Send a message to everyone you know until they go out of business. Bad companies should no earn our use
If I could rate Fandango 0 I would, but that wasnt not an option. I purchased movie tickets for three people in 3-D, and an emergency came up right before the showtime. I went on the app to cancel my movie showtime and it did not allow me because it was one or two minutes after the showtime had started. I called customer service right away to let them know that I was not going to be there and to refund me my tickets. They told me I was not able to because the showtime had already started. I contacted upper management via email many times & made several calls. Nobody was able to help me and the result was that I was never refunded. This was nearly $60 that I lost because of a family emergency that came up. Instead of being understanding and having great customer service, they said there was nothing that they could do. Fandango pretty much stole my money & gave me no other options.
You can't get a refund if the movie already started. Doesn't matter if you went to the hospital with a broken arm, they will not refund you anything. Worthless company. All they're good for is seeing showing times, other than that don't spend any money with them.
They charged me twice for tickets that I purchased and was given the wrong information as their policy. Had my claim go to the so called "corporate team" with no credit to be issued! If they had 0 ratings that would qualify for them! Don't use them!
I ordered two tickets but only needed one and when I got to the movie theater they told me to call Fandango... I did and was on hold for over 1 hour and half through the whole movie just for them to say "the movie already started" they cannot refund my $10 they will have to send up to headquarters and I should hear back in 1 day or two. I had to wait for an email and attach a copy of the ticket and wait... still waiting...
Fandango has the worst customer service I have encountered. Most companies send you an order confirmation email and are able to verify your order or have a record of your order when you call. Fandango does not and I was in chat room seeking assistance three separate times and called twice before finally seeking my bank's help in getting a refund. I would never buy from Fandango again in the future.
They had "technical difficulties" that made them unable to actually deliver our tickets, but which still allowed them to take $66 from us. Not only did we get no tickets, but they double charged us. Then they won't give a refund, and say we have to go to the theater for the refund. But of course they keep the "service charge." I've contacted them twice, and that is the only answer I get. Goodbye money. Definitely going out of my way never to use Fandango again.
Just purchased a ticket online for my husband who is a senior. Not obvious they charge a fee for online tickets until after the fact which brought my husband's ticket almost full price. Immediately got on a live chat to explain and ask for a refund. Nope, nada. NEVER dealt with a company that refused a refund within moments of purchase. Live and learn. You got me once, but never again.

Just buy your tickets at the theater and stay away from this rip-off company.
I got a fandango card for Christmas and decided to use it for Mother's Day for myself... I go to the theater first just to make sure I didn't accidentally buy for the wrong one and long story short my theater charges $9.25 for adults and an even $7 for my son but on fandango it was $9.95 for adults and $7.50 for my son along with a $2.25 convenience fee! It's not convenient if the prices are higher I mean come on! I will never use this again and I'll let my family know that they're ripping you off for a gift card!
We purchased Star Wars tickets on fandango for our 4 boys & ourselves in our city's brand new 3D IMAX theater. It cost over $100 and was a splurge for them. We, like others, got to the theater to find that the tickets were for ANOTHER STATE. This was some sort of glitch, as we live in Montana & we're not going to be able to get to Texas by 3:40 that day... clearly! I immediately called Fandango & had the same experience as everyone else. Endless waiting, asking for supervisor, more waiting, then a message telling me a supervisor will call... and then no call. This happened multiple times. I'm never using Fandango again & writing to my theater's corporate office to ask them to quit using Fandango as well.
Made a mistake on the night and didn't realize to the next morning. The tickets went unused. And they told me that I was out of luck.
They suck. From now on, I'll call the theater directly or drop by earlier. The convenience fee you pay isn't worth the service.
Like the other reviewer, I was tricked into a movie last night when I was purchasing tickets for Saturday. I was given the same response and will be disputing it with my cc company too. Their customer service is the worst and I can't believe I wasted 40 minutes of my life that I can never get back holding and speaking to their worthless Customer Service. This company clearly has no concept of the word.
I bought a movie from wal-mart because there was a $8 discount code from fandango for a new movie coming out. I registered online only to find that fandango charges $5.40 convenience fee when ordering tickets. So my discount is only $2 and some change. Not even worth the trouble.
We filed a refund request on June 14,2022 for two tickets we cancelled a day in advance of a movie due to medical issues. To date we have not received an acknowledgement of our request nor a refund.
Unfortunately, we received the gift card as a gift so it is hard to tell people that give you a gift that it turned out badly.
Fandango provides zero ways to communicate (that we could find) with them if you have an issue.

Received this as a gift, would never purchase. Every ticket redeemed has a three dollar fee that is taken off the balance. Tried buying tickets last night without luck. Was on hold for over an hour for customer support. Went on line this am to see if a low balance was the issue - no. I have a 18 dollar balance. Like i said, a rip off
Fandango is a scam! I purchased two tickets for Bumblebee, 9:30 am show. I get to Cinemark only to find out the time on ticket said 12:30 pm. The cashiers stated they have been having issues with movie goers showing up with either the wrong time or wrong movie purchased. I did receive a refund but will NEVER use Fandango again.
I am stupid and have bought the wrong tickets multiple times. Each time they have refunded me completely even if it was 5 minutes before the movie was about to start. They always have my back and have supported me through my stupidity. Thank you for your service. I love you<3<3<3<3<3; 3; 3; 3
