We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
Stole my money by charging service fee for no service. Still had to wait in line at ticket counter to pick up tickets. Why the hell is there a service charge for that? Went through three avenues and stone walled at each one. Rude and condescending staff. Worse customer service experience ever.
I've used Fandango successfully for several years, fees & all, as part of gift cards. I received a g/c for $25.00 and the value is listed when I check it online, however, I continue to receive error messages when attempting to buy a ticket. I tried the 800 number (don't waste your time) and then emailed cust. Serv. Finally received a form email which gave me instructions on how to buy a ticket online. Grrr! I will probably ask friends & family to use a different movie g/c from now on... boo.
This website is awful. After starting your order, it gives you 5 mins to complete. Seems like plenty, but everytime you hit "continue" you get a "processing" message for at least 2 minutes, so it's impossible to finish within the 5 minutes. Unbelievably frustrating!
Could not help me resolve my issue and was denied my refund after being told I was to call back to receive it. Best advice is to just buy tickets at theatre and save yourself the trouble of dealing with rude customer service reps
Tried using the Fandango App... It started out OK, picking the movie, time and date. Put in my gift card number. Picked seats... Got no confirmation on site or in my email... yet my card balance applied the purchase. No idea where the ticket confirmation is and if I even officially completed my order. App needs a major work over!. Now on phone trying to reach a human being. Been on hold 12 minutes already and still waiting.
I don't think I have ever had this bad of customer service. These women sound like they hate their jobs and seemed to have taken it out on my situation. They take no consideration of technology and having an unstable system for transactions. Their refund policy is absurd. Helpful tip: sound more understanding to customers that are in need of assistance and at least act like your going to do anything you can to help instead of making it obvious that you don't you care.
I purchased two IMAX tickets to a movie.
When I arrived at the theater, I learned the movie was cancelled because of a projector failure. They would not refund my ticket & told me to request one through Fandango.
I tried. Fandango said that the movie had "already started" (it never started), so I could not get a refund.
What a rip off. The additional "convenience fee" was also annoying, since there was nothing convenient about the experience.
It was so frustrating that I haven't used Fandango since. I realize it was an unusual event, but Fandango's lack of customer service is maddening.
I've written Fandango twice and have not received any response.
They must be owed by Ticketmaster... why must I pay their fees instead of purchasing directly from a retailer? Let's keep screwing the consumer by taking away their options... and let the rich get richer. It's all about payoffs.
Ordered tickets for a movie 3 days later. Website changed back to default and gave me tickets for a movie that already started while I was at home online. Now they commit False Advertising when they advertise "Customer Service." I will NEVER use fandango again. It is pay at the counter or wait for dvd/blue-ray.
I was given a gift card and the only way to redeem it is through their website with a $1.25 "convenience" fee per ticket. Then, the so-called printable ticket at home (to supposedly avoid theater lines) is also plainly and simply, a lie. It's merely a printable scan bar and confirmation number that MUST be exchanged for an actual ticket printed by the theater itself which means, you guessed it, waiting in a line. There is nothing convenient about Fandango gift cards and besides, I'd like to know who they believe has done any work for that $1.25 to cover exactly? Then to be blatantly lied to about the ticket exchange process is unacceptable. If I ever owe someone I don't particularly like a gift, I'll be sure it's a Fandango gift card.
Had to enter info 6 - yes 6 times with various error messages. Became VIP member still no luck. Talked with cust service & could not understand the man. Called back & the woman from Rochester NY was very short & condescending. I would recommend no one use this ticket buying service.

Do not use it. A real pain in the rear & customer service attitudes are exceptionally poor.
Where are my tickets? Site timed out, confirmation email was sent, ticket link doesn't work, cannot get a hold of any customer service agent, be waiting on the online chat for over an hour, cannot get refunds on tickets purchased with a promo code... This is ridiculous and I will never buy a ticket from this joke of a company again.
We bought tickets for a movie that the theater then did not show, for reasons that were not made clear. Since we did not find out until after show time that there was to be no show time, we could not request a refund until after that time. Needless to say since then we have failed time and time again to get satisfaction from their customer service, whose main skill seems to be figuring out how to block our reasonable requests to get the matter resolved. I must say it is pretty amazing that a company will go this far just to unethically hang on to a few bucks. Clearly they care nothing for their reputation if these hundreds of negative reviews are anything to go by. STAY AWAY!
I personally work in customer service so i understand both sides, however I was having trouble ordering tickets online and waited for assistance for over 40 minutes to be told i had to try another theater or another day to reserve. With no way to help me make a purchase.
Will likely not use fandango in the future!
Deserve no stars-had to put at least one. Asked theatre to refund prior to show start/sure no problem. Done. Week later No credit on credit card/call Fandango-nope/call theatre-nope it's Fandango. They were absolutely awful. Not about the 24.00 - but the principle. And the treatment was terrible. Just buy your tickets on the theatre site. These guys should go out of business.
Fandango SUCKS! I bought gift cards last year and have tried repeatedly to make reservation to go to the movies and every time being about 25 times it just errors out and customer service never comes to the phone or will not even make a reservation for you because they say they cannot! Bunch of B S. Dont waste your time
Got one of those stupid movie ticket coupons off a movie I bought from target. Decided I mine as well use it since I am seeing this movie anyway. After jumping through hoops for 10 min to activate the stupid code and then take a survey and then Input the real code, I realized the coupon saved me 5 bucks and the "convenience fee" was even more then that! What's the point of a coupon that only makes you pay more money! No thanks, I will buy my tickets at the theater
I will never buy from Fandango Again. I wasted around $115. All you guys offered is a lousy sorry. I walked in the local theater bought tickets again and without convince fee. I know it was not within the time frame for refund and it was my mistake. I asked if I can maybe get half fandango credit or some sort compensation. Now I will never use Fandango again. Will try to keep my friends and family again and spread the message of your $#*!ty customer service on social media.
I made a mistake when getting tickets by picking the wrong day. I called fandango to just change the date but since it was an hour before the movie they would not allow it. I asked for a supervisor because it's a simple change but their supervisors only email no one is available to ever talk. I have been waiting over an hour to get a reply from someone. I also did a live chat with two different people and again no one was there. They hung up on my husband when he called and disconnected the chat with me twice. I am very disappointed with this company and will never use it again. I will advise anyone wanting to get tickets to not go through them. I never asked for a refund just wanted a change in date.
My daughter broke her finger by slamming it in the car door while going into the movie. We had ten minutes until movie time. We rushed our daughter to the ER instead of calling fandango of course. While in the ER, I called customer service and they said that no refund or credit could be issued since it was passed the movie start time. Ridiculous….I'll never use this service again and will do my best to ensure nobody else does.
My son bought tickets for himself and his friends. $48. The tickets never got to him. Fandango refused to refund the money. When I called the person said they did not have a supervisor. This is a horrible company. I would strongly recommend buying tickets through the theater site. That's what we do now.
Received this as a gift, would never purchase. Gift card code does not work, contacted support almost a month ago and still have an unresolved issue. All they tell me to do is wait and transfer me around.
We supposedly had a "free" movie code to try fandango. Put in our code... did not work. Tried 3 different times... nothing. Tried calling customer support, waited on phone over 10 mins... nothing! What a waste of time
My niece purchased 5 tickets and was charged $1.25 each. The ticket office was closed because they were short staffed per the Theater Manager. She had to stand in the concession stand line and wait behind those purchasing tickets, popcorn, soda, candy. She was denied her request for a refund of $6.25 from Fandango for the inconvenience. They don't care about customer service
We had booked tickets through Fandango for Avatar at our local Imax but when we arrived at the theater they had cancelled all show that day due to problems with equipment. The manager advised that all tickets pre-purchased had been refunded. After a couple of days there was no credit showing from Fandango so i contacted customer services. After 80 minutes waiting on a chat I was told that no refund was coming and that a supervisor would have to contact the theater. Five days later we still have no refund so I was left with no option but to dispute the charges with my CC company.
