SYNOPSIS: Birthday flowers were never delivered, even though it was ordered the day before, and the flowers ordered were being promoted as same day delivery. FTD would not provide the name or contact information for the local affiliated florist they had chosen to use, which was primarily requested in order to more closely monitor the situation, and later requested so that a review could be written about their lack of service.
This is what I found when researching FTD: "FTD, formed in 1910, offered the first flowers-by-wire service. It is owned by holding company FTD Group (formerly Mercury Man Holdings), which was acquired in 2008 by Internet service provider United Online." [http://www.hoovers.com/company/FTD_Inc/crstri-1.html]
I guess that would explain it, just another huge faceless internet corporation that is not concerned with providing a reputable personalized service. Why should they? United Online bought name recognition going back to 1910 for $800,000,000. [http://www.zdnet.com/blog/btl/bizarre-merger-of-the-day-united-online-buys-ftd-group/8664]. They also own Classmates.com, MyPoints, NetZero, and Juno, can simply rest on the laurels that someone else built, and capitalize on their internet marketing savvy and the volume they receive from the uninformed internet masses.
This is probably the WORST company I've ever ordered flowers from.
They never delivered and then claimed they "attempted" delivery. It was to a business building with a mailroom open 7AM-8PM (they promised delivery before 5PM).
Not only did they fail to deliver they also directly lied about the "attempt" to deliver.
They are actually a version of "1800flowers", WHy keep two websites for the same service? TONS OF BAD REVIEWS ON BOTH COMPANIES.
I ordered an arrangement to be delivered to my mother for Mother's Day. I ordered it a week and a half prior to Mother's Day and arranged to have it delivered two days early, just in case there were issues. $73, I was provided a tracking number showing my arrangement leaving NY exactly 7 days prior to Mother's Day and 5 days prior to delivery to GA. For some reason, my order was routed through Missouri, but whatever. I checked tracking on the Friday it was to be delivered, and it stated out for delivery. No delivery. I called the next morning and I was informed that it now would be delivered the following Monday, which was unacceptable to me. I was put on hold and was guaranteed delivery by 8pm that evening. Still no delivery, and now fedex shows no available delivery date. I called yet again and demanded a refund, I was told it was again guaranteed to be delivered by the end of the day (now Mother's Day) and that they could not give me a refund until after it was delivered. There is no way after 7 days on a truck in the south, that this arrangement is going to be in any kind of beautiful shape, and likely will be dead. I will never order from florists.com again, and have no faith that this will be delivered today as promised for the 3rd day in a row. Their service is ridiculous, and this has ruined Mother's Day for my 70-year-old mother.
I wish I could give this company zero stars. I ordered a beautiful arrangement of roses for Valentine's Day for my girlfriend! I was super excited because the photo looked amazing. Valentine's Day came and I waited anxiously for a phone call from my girlfriend to tell me how wonderful the flowers were. Instead, I received an email at 7:30 pm on Valentine's night stating that the arrangement was unavailable and to contact customer service. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with customer service. I told them it was unacceptable to notify me so late in the day and demanded they make another arrangement and have it delivered that night. They said that all the florists were closed and they couldn't help me but I could go on their website and chose a new arrangement and it could be delivered the next day by 8pm. After yelling at the representative for a half hour, they offerer my a whopping 20% off my next purchase. I asked to speak with the supervisor and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. The supervisor didn't even have the courtesy to get on the phone. Just the same representative offering the 20% coupon. This shows what a horrible company FTD is. They ruin Valentine's Day and offer a 20% discount. What a crock of $#*!! I will never use this company ever again.
I can't even begin to express how DISAPPOINTING the service I received from FTD was. Only now when looking to write this review do I see how horrible their reviews are! After placing my order 5 days in advance for Mother's Day and the order was confirmed for Mother's Day delivery, my order was NOT delivered that day or even the next day and they told me MAYBE they could get flowers delivered to my mother on Wednesday. Not only is that bad enough, I had to call several times and be put on lengthy holds and still had no satisfaction. The person I was speaking to was only reading from a script and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, they said it is an hour wait time. No wonder! I cancelled my order and am flaming mad. It's not like me to write a review, but I hope I can stop someone else from having to go through this. Thanks FTD for ruining my Mother's Day! Will NEVER use you again or recommend you!
Shame on you that this is how they treat people. Especially at this time. If you couldn't deliver you shouldn't be taking my order. A refund doesn't even feel sufficient for the aggravation and disappointment you have caused!
Do not use FTD. They have awful customer service and I cannot get my money back for the service fee that should be free.
Flowers delivered to wrong address, half dead when i finally tracked them down, would not call me back after multiple calls into them.
I ordered $67 worth of flowers, they were never delivered and I've contacted them 4 times, have never returned my call. Scam
This is a horrible company. They have all of their calls sent to the answering service. You will be lucky if they contact you in 36 hours.
The best flower company out there! If you want beautiful flowers make sure you go here. Very fast delivery.
