I bought a jacket, received a confirmation, paid through PayPal. The seller then notifies me he has canceled the transaction because he needs more money for the item. Grailed does nothing about this illegal breach of a binding agreement of purchase and sale. Avoid Grailed. Totally sleazy company.
Zero customer service, they dont even have phone number to reach out to them, email correspondent takes forever and not helpful at all, their authentication team (they hired their team via reddit that should tell you something) pass the counterfeit items as legit and authentic items as counterfeit, stay away if you are not looking for headache.
Bought a lock necklace that promised a key in the description. Seller told me after I received the item that there was never a key. I politely ask for a swap, he tries to squeeze more money out of me. This goes on for days. I almost just paid the money but then I was like "why am I paying for his mistake?" I ask for a refund/return and he finally offers the swap instead but I'm done. I'm upset I even have to deal with this and I don't want to go through it again with a swap. I complain to the website about him. I also write a review. Turns out he also works there (!) and deletes my honest review. No one has answered my customer complaints either. Then the seller replaces it with his own 5 star review through my account! I would never give 5 stars for this experience so why is it on my account & its unchangeable? Unethical. Can't make this up. I just want to warn other people. Avoid this site.
I've had a grailed account for many years, but today they banned my account for no reason. They are so quick to ban accounts permanently and not give people warnings beforehand which is why I think they are the worst. $#*! everyone at grailed
Grailed doesn't protect sellers from buyers that are out to file baseless claims. They are not even consistent on their customer service communications and will not stand behind their Digital Authentication service. I would be careful selling any high priced items on Grailed.
Grailed is a marketplace for menswear of all kinds although with a streetwear root. With few exceptions most of the users are individual buyers and sellers of new and lightly used clothing. The concept isn't new but Grailed is the first menswear only marketplace and the largest of its kind. It's very easy to set up an account to begin buying and selling, which is enabled by PayPal. Grailed aims to create a community environment for its users, allowing users to communicate with one another and comment on its editorial contents. All of these set it apart from eBay alike.
As a result it draws both professional and casual sellers, coveted pieces, and high purchase intent buyers, which generate high traffic and transaction volume. Seller fee is 6% of the selling price plus PayPal fee, totalling about 10% of selling price.
I post listings on Grailed, eBay, and Styleforum since 2015. Grailed has generated a great deal more traffic and sales. Like on any marketplaces you may encounter scammers or dishonest sellers, so both buyers and sellers should be aware of their duty of care before making transactions. Upon dispute buyers and sellers should first try to resolve between each other before contacting PayPal and Grailed. I definitely recommend Grailed for both menswear buyers and sellers.
Grailed is strictly for menswear. What I like about it from a seller's point is that it has three levels to list your items: Grailed (the highest) to Core (the lowest). Core is for Ralph Lauren, Levis, those kinds of brands. Grailed is for the $300 t-shirts! And $1000 Athletic shoes; Jeezys.
The Good:
From a seller's point, I like the ease of listing items. I like the way my items look in photos. I like that they have a low % fee.
The Not so good:
But on the opposite side it seems lately the site has really been MIA. No traffic. I sold a couple of items within a month, and since then nothing is looked at or sold, so I think the owners and staff have taken a vacation and may not be working the site. They could also take a hint from Ebay and send out tips & announcements, letting the sellers know if their listing needs improvements.
It also seems to want to be an international site, doing a lot of business overseas, esp. In Asia. I'm not sure if they filter the sellers and care if they are selling knockoffs and pirated goods.
Do not trust this site. The merchandise is horrible, service even worse. There is no service.
It seems to be a scam. Prices are extremely high, outrageous. The item I got was filthy and had
A huge spot. Received no help in making it right. DO NOT SHOP HERE!
Honestly for people that are looking for certain grailed this might seem like the right website but once you realise how bad their customer service and support really is youll stay away as far as you can.
If you haven't read my reviews about grailed you should. Finally the BBB had them at 1.3 stars. That should tell you something. They have fake authentication procedures, terrible customer service, and a website that allows innocent people to be scammed. See ya Grailed. Sooner than later.
This is horrible site with horrible policy. They are allow to sell cheap stuff way over priced. I purchased pedant for my husband's birthday (It was not that expensive - just 40$), but when it arrived - I looked at it and it was the most horrible (quality wise) thing I've ever bought. Later on I found one for like 18$ and one on some Chinese website for a couple of dollars.
There is no return possible because the picture matches what I've got. But the quality... Facepalm. Never again... I think they are also based in Chine, maybe with some little office in NY. I guess not worth to fight over 40$ that they can put up in their a$$... I would give them minus 10 if I could
Purchased a necklace from grailed. Seller was extremely sketchy and I saw pictures and videos online after making my purchase that made me believe the necklace was fake. I did some heavy research and found extreme amounts of evidence that the necklace I purchased was a fake. Emailed customer service and they have ignored my desperate pleas for any sort of update or support. I regret not doing more research before hand, but I definitely feel scammed by grailed, as they do NOT stand by their customers. Please, if it happened to me, it could most definitely happen to anyone. Spend your money wisely and do not take that risk of purchasing from a reseller such as grailed.
The Grailed site guarantees buyer satisfaction if a seller lists an item that does not match what you received. The item I got initially didn't fit so I tried to resolve with seller. As I figured it could be resolved I pack it up then I noticed a visible stain on back leg. The listIng had the stain but it wasn't noted. I sent several pics Grailed asked for and kept coming back to me 3x asking for more pics. Finally I gave up. Buyer satisfaction NOT guaranteed. Beware! These luxury second hands get an F grade. EBay has much better customer satisfaction!
"Money back guarantee" is a lie. I paid hundreds for an item which was not delivered in 3 months, the seller never responded to any messages and Grailed said the best I can do is try to reach the seller or the shipping service
This site definitely false advertises their refund policy. It's isn't clear that their refunds aren't guaranteed and is based on the sellers discretion. I highly recommend you DO NOT make any purchases on this site because these are greedy individuals trying their best to make money & they take advantage of the sites policy.
Do not buy anything from this scam website. Their customer service doesn't exists. The sellers are rude scammers hawking fake knockoffs. There is no buyer protection. Grailed purposely withholds information during the sell that prevents you from contacting them with an issue and there is no way to call. Despicable website for crooks to sell fake junk.
I bought a Drew House Hoodie for 270 USD. Never received the item. Sent many messages with no answer. I have never received my money back from Grailed. Do not buy from this site if you don't want to lose money. Fraud!
My son has purchased items from the site in the past, but sold a pair of shoes for the first time almost 100 days ago for $617. He listed the UPS tracking number he used to deliver the shoes. He still has not been paid by Grailed. We cannot get anyone on the phone to help and the "customer service" ticket threads are a joke. We'll be notifying the BBB and our lawyer says it's time to get involved. I would not recommend Grailed to my worst enemy.
I love buying men's streetwear from this site because it is has a great selection and overall I think the site is more hip than ebay. I've found a lot of good deals here and will continue to use it into the future!
Made an account listed an item I had listed on ebay and got banned. Contacted support they asked for proof I sent it and they told me "our moderators decision is final". I had also purchased an item the day before which was my first grailed purchase. Cost me 500$ and the guy legit just never shipped it. Couldn't access my account and support didn't reply. Was able to get it back through PayPal fortunately but grailed offers nothing PayPal doesn't.
Answer: Definitely a scam in my personal experience. Purchased a fake and customer service is refusing to help or provide any sort of support/update
Answer: Another avenue to reach a wider crowd to sell an item...
Answer: Try GOAT or even StockX... atleast you will get a response from them...
Grailed has a rating of 1.3 stars from 91 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Grailed most frequently mention customer service and buyer protection. Grailed ranks 57th among Used Clothing sites.
