It's a different product than Shutterfly. Don't compare the 2. The quality is exactly what you should expect. They just acquired it so give them some time to iron out bugs. I love mine. No issues with mine
Groove book Sucks! Had original app and worked great! Quality of pictures overall was mediocre to poor. Delivery time Way too long--- customer service? That's a joke because there is no Customer service! Now Shutterfly bought Groovebook and things are Terrible... Can't open the app. The shutterfly group should call Themselves "gutter fly". They have totally ruined this process. Warning: save your money and don't try to do business with them!
Very poor customer service. It's been 3 weeks amd have not received my first book. I've emailed them but no resolution. They were really quick to charge my account; no problem there!
Please do not not waste your time and money. The quality of pictures that you get are worthless. This is why I just sent and email requesting to cancel my subscription.
They stopped sending me my groove book. No tele # to speak to someone. I tried to cancel my account and they would not cancel. They continued to charge my credit card even after they stopped sending the groove books. NO CUSTOMER SERVICES!

I am so angry Groovebook has been charging my account for over 1 year I have 2 books. Wont accept address change. BUT MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS YOU CAN NEVER TALK TO A PERSON YOU CAN TEXT OR EMAIL EVEN ON THE SITE NO CUSTOMER NUMBER OR EMAIL HAVE TO GO OUT OF SITE AND GOGGLE IT. Groovebook is a SCAM! Their app doesn't work, their support team never responds and they ignore their customers email requests to cancel. I have been waiting for weeks for assistance and they are ignoring me. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They steal from customers.
I have used Groove book for over three years. It was a nice way to turn phone photos into meriories. Scrap books. My grandma brag book. It use to be if you didn't have enough photos for a month. They just wouldn't charge you or send a book for the month. Now they don't send a book, but charge you anyway... you use to be able to put your account on hold. Or canceled it using the app. Now you have to email them. These changes have made me not wanna mess with it anymore
I saw this on Shark tank, what a great concept ordered, very pleased received 10 books, perfect, SHARK TANK CAME ON BOARD and now there's a white border on both sides of photo. So it's not a true 4 x 6 photos. Called, tried to explain, kept getting run around, so I cancelled, can't seem to cancel, go to another website
Great concept, but the quality is so poor, don't waste your money. The photos were blurry. Color and contrast very different from original photos. I would not use them again, nor recommend them.
In addition to providing a terrible product with crookedly printed photos they have continued to bill me after multiple requests to cancel my account. This is fraud.
Bought 2 gift subscriptions. They charged me for them and neither gift worked. After numerous emails, their customer service was unable to help. So they took my money and produced nothing.
Just last month when I went to upload my 100 photos it all of a sudden wanted a password. Didn't remember it so I went to send them an email about it. Come find out I forgot my email password. So I had to set up a whole new email account and grovebook account. As soon as I set up another account I sent billing an email letting them know to cancel my previous grovebook. Waited the 2-3 days and no response. Sent another email and no response after 2-3 more days. It's been a month and no response but they are still taking out the extra 6.35 a month from my account. Since I am not getting a response from them I had no choice but to close my credit card down. Such a headache to do that. I truly enjoyed the pictures as well as my inlaws who live in Florida. They don't get a chance to see their granddaughter a lot and getting the pictures of her every month was such a joy for them. Feel so bad I had to stop getting the photo books.
After over 3 years or paying them every single month for multiple books of photos, all of a sudden, my password won't work and have emailed them for over a MONTH. They say that they have NO RECORD of me as a customer! How is that possible when they still deduct money from my debit card?
It is my closing date and I can't upload my picrures. Why is there not a phone number to contact a real person? I keep getting computer gererated responses. I need to upload today and it keeps telling me I will charged because I am uploading early. Groove Book is a great idea but hard to use and customer service is non existant!
I ordered my first GrooveBook for my anniversary, and it didn't come in time (I ordered it one month prior). I then said I needed the GrooveBook IMMEDIATELY so I could at least have it in time for Valentine's Day, and they told me it would arrive in 20 days! The GrooveBook took two months to come. There is no customer service, as you can only e-mail support who gives messages like they keep cost low so they can't get orders in time. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. You will never get your GrooveBook, and you will be charged each month for GARBAGE.
Best to print out photos with another service or pharmacy, very bad quality and you need to send an email to deactivate account & that takes a while or they will charge you continually.
First set never arrived, Finally recieved and they are poor quality. Not sure they're worth $3 / month. I will cancel and wait for a better competitor to emerge
Outsourcing your customer service has been the biggest mistake for this company. I plan to find a company that is local or statewide & pay the extra $ it takes to get my questions answered!
I was a member in 2015 and loved all my books from January to June of 2015. I have now been charged for a book January 12,2016 after reactivating my account and uploading my pictures. I NEVER received my book for January. I called the number but was told groovebook does not have a customer service anymore and must contact them through e-mail. So I did and was then told I never uploaded my photos. (I did though however!) I am now getting emails about Febuary to upload my pictures... I already have and have screen shot the fact that I have. I am also unable to stop my service since my phone shows I upload my pictures and the customer service refuses to help me only saying I have not uploaded anything and continue to CHARGE ME! This is a SCAM! Do not get this!
I was a customer back in 2018- I got two Groovebooks sent to me before I decided to cancel my account. I sent an email to the Groovebook Help team and got a confirmation email stating I had successfully cancelled my account in March of 2018.
Two years later I was going through my bank statement and saw that I have still been getting charged a membership fee. I sent yet another email to the help team demanding to know why I am still being charged for a membership I cancelled over two years ago and telling them they will credit back to me any money they have wrongfully taken from my account after my cancellation date. I added three photos proving my cancellation email along with two photos of my card being charged from Groovebook. I got back an email stating "We see that your account is still active and we do not see any charge."
The customer service and overall company is an absolute joke and terror to work with. It is completely unacceptable for a company to start recharging a past customer of over two years ago money for something they have proof of them cancelling in the first place.
I have been a member since Jun 2015. The picture quality these past two months have been the worst. A white line right though my picture. The app for android is horrible. It's not user friendly. I'm able to get around it I'm tech savy; for a person who isn't it will be a problem. I have tried to cancel my account once and they say they will but the never did. I even got my bank to fight them and they never canceled my account. They charged my account for three months and I never received a book. The shipping they have for this book is slower than sailmail. This month it says on the app that they shipped it out on Nov 5th and today it's Nov 20th and I still haven't received it.
I did not expect Olan Mills quality. I was perfectly pleased with my book. If you just want a way to see the pictures and keep a copy, Groove book is awesome!
The last Groovebook I received had a white streak down the side of each photo, now the app has crashed and so has the website. I'm cancelling if I can ever sign back into the app.

That the quality of prints is poor and the is no way to contact a real person if the app won't work.
