It's a different product than Shutterfly. Don't compare the 2. The quality is exactly what you should expect. They just acquired it so give them some time to iron out bugs. I love mine. No issues with mine
Groove book Sucks! Had original app and worked great! Quality of pictures overall was mediocre to poor. Delivery time Way too long--- customer service? That's a joke because there is no Customer service! Now Shutterfly bought Groovebook and things are Terrible... Can't open the app. The shutterfly group should call Themselves "gutter fly". They have totally ruined this process. Warning: save your money and don't try to do business with them!
I want to Love the Groovebook! It's perfect with the dates on each photo and a easy simple way to have many photos, I wish we could pay an extra cost for better quality photos since some just need a little boost with lighting. But great price for what you get. I'm done for now but if you can get that quality fixed I'll definitely be a permanent customer.
After three years I threw in the towel. Keep getting charged for books that don't arrive. I'll mailing means 2 months if you are lucky. Outsourced customer service. Bot email is the best they have to offer.

When you email for support, the replies are coded paragraphs making it look like your getting a personal response and just wait until you wrestle with understanding what they say. Total waste of Money

Been a customer for almost 5 years. In the beginning they were amazing. Couldn't stop bragging about them. They have gone down hill in the last year and a half or so. Print quality has gotten progressively worse. Pictures won't download, missing and late books. I'm heading out. Going to find an alternative...
I haven't received a photo book in months! They are still charging my credit card. On top of that trying to contact them is a nightmare. There is no phone number but an email address that never responds.
Very disappointing.
If I could give this no stars, I would. Love the idea but there are a lot of problems with this app and the product (falls apart in two seconds). The support team are TERRIBLE. Automated responses from people who clearly do not speak English and don't understand the questions. Have had a major problem uploading pictures (from my computer) - there is a bug in their system. They have just stopped responding to me at all - no help whatsoever. No email responses from any of their listed email accounts. Also, the accounts team won't reply - so currently I can't cancel my subscription. Terrible customer service, worst I have ever experienced. Stay away people! This business should not be allowed to continue.
I do not know why others are saying poor quality. Mine was excellent and love this concept for so little money. I sent it to my son on south america as it is cheaper than a heavy photo album. They copied old photos i had and they came out very nice. I will use it again.
A recent issue today has me rethinking keeping my Groovebook account. The spine arrived damaged either from shipping or from Groovebook. Customer Service was quick to state they are sending out another book. On their Facebook page you can see where many people complain about the image quality. Once I finally get my replacement book, I am cancelling and looking for a better quality solution. Pics are dark regardless of original image, as well as the grainy look. They are lower quality than a polaroid.
Problem I with a non existing order. Funds are automatically remove of checking with out order. Will not let you go back to re-order pictures you have not ordered from before. Very poor quality. Ended up receiving photos in my booklet of some one else's child. They honestly need a direct phone #. I will contact my bank to stop payment on all future orders. Very unhappy customer! Guy's your better of going to Walmart!
I have not gotten a book since June 2015 however, they keep charging me. After reading these reviews, I'm worried. I will try to cancel but not holding out much hope. The quality of the photos is beyond bad. They were pretty good when I first started but the last book was like printer paper. DON'T DO IT!
After shark tank, I subscribed right away and the photos were great... for a year r so... then they started to get lousy and not clear...
Want to have the original owner of the company back... I cancelled my subscription months ago... too bad... loved the pictures at first...
Can't cancel my account, continue to get an automated message from their "customer service" email, then get an email later that month saying my next book will be sent etc, etc., this is BS! Do not join, I'm sure CVS or other stores who do photo printing would be happy to do it without a monthly subscription. Anyone have ideas on how to get in touch with this frauds?!?
For 3 months in a row I have had 2020 on the spine of my books. It's 2022. It makes it so hard to keep track of my pictures. This was supposed to be an easy way to print pictures with no effort. I have contacted customer support with no real help. I am looking for a different company now.
Never got my bookS! I paid for 2 and neither have shown up. It's been a month and a half since my first one. Then I email them to cancel my subscription because you can't just do it yourself. The day they said it was cancelled I also got another charge of 4.99. Would never ever recommend this company!
Well, I would give this a zero if I could. I joined this morning and tried to make my first book. It's been trying to download since 9:30 this morning and at 4:00 it's stuck at 60 of the 100 photos downloading. There is no phone number to call, you can only email and it could take up to 3 business days for them to get back to you if they get back to me. Now I'm reading the reviews and it seems this is a common issue and similar experience with many. Some people claim they can't cancel of get their money back. I'm mad!
Echoing all the below comments. Continuously was charged.
When erroneously charged and requested a cancellation, Groovebook lured me by stating my next two credits would be free. Then I was subsequently charged another two times.
Additionally, did not receive books, Groovebook noted it was my mail delivery issue, not theirs. I paid $66.66 and received two total books.
I am beginning to believe this product and service is an entire scam actually.
Honestly, i dont know how anyone can complain! It's 4$ for a hundred pictures in a nice booklet, with dates and time stamped with an easy cut out. If you want quality then go to your nearest store, order and pickup! Groovebook is offering the convenience of ordering and printing pics right off your phone and for the average person who is not going to take the time to print at a store. What did they expect for 4$! Pictures are great. Thank you GROOVEBOOK!
When first started with GrooveBook - great quality. Just received my latest book and the color is not very good anymore - not true to the photos? I really loved this service- since company taken over a noticeable difference. Will the company get back to what they did best? I'm bummed.
I had a baby about a year ago and was thrilled when I found an app that I could easily upload photos too without really going out of my way. At first the quality was pretty good (about comparable to if I printed them myself on a home computer), and served their purpose. However as I continue to receive them the photos are getting darker grainy. Also, for about the past 3-4 months the app rarely works for me! When I try to upload photos it literally takes about 1 hr. Or they just don't upload! I highly recommend that Groovebook step up their game because there are way to many competitors around!
At first I thought was an awesome idea.
Get your pics off your cell.
Print them cheap.
But 100 is too much.
Or they repeat your photos if you don't have them.
I guess the positive is I love my point and shoot again
Could care less about printing junk cellphone pics.
Don't do it
One year and you have a 1200 crappy photos
Save your $37.40 and make a photo book of your highlights from a shutter fly or snap fish sale.
Put some in my youngests baby book... I regret
I enjoyed GrooveBook for over the past year, but suddenly in June 2015 it all fell apart. I was billed twice, I received a book that wasn't even the photos I selected and the album selection won't show my my photos on my iPhone. It seems they just randomly filled the last book and now I can't select any photos for the current order. There is no way to cancel or suspend the subscription on the app and they don't respond to emails. Too bad such a great idea had to lose its appeal.
Received my first book and waiting for second. Very poor quality. I considered Groovebook so I can delete my photos lost in my hard drive limbo and have them on paper. I think I am going to consider walmart now.
Received my first Groovebook in Jan. Was disappointed with the quality of the photos. Blurry, poor color. I wrote to Groovebook and they sent me a new book free of charge but the pics we're not any better than the first set. I just received my 2nd Groovebook now and I'm really sad to say the pictures are no better than before. Blurry and poor color. The pictures are not worthy to put in a frame and display. I do like that each photo shows where it was taken and the date. That's about all I like so far. Now I'm stuck for 10 more months of poor quality photos. Great idea, bad product. Shutterfly... get with the program
Every month, upload up to 100 photos of your choice to the GrooveBook App straight from your phone. In about 10-14 days, you'll receive a book filled with 4.5x6.5 glossy photos and each edge dated and perforated for easy removal. Just pay the $2.99 shi...
