It's a different product than Shutterfly. Don't compare the 2. The quality is exactly what you should expect. They just acquired it so give them some time to iron out bugs. I love mine. No issues with mine
Groove book Sucks! Had original app and worked great! Quality of pictures overall was mediocre to poor. Delivery time Way too long--- customer service? That's a joke because there is no Customer service! Now Shutterfly bought Groovebook and things are Terrible... Can't open the app. The shutterfly group should call Themselves "gutter fly". They have totally ruined this process. Warning: save your money and don't try to do business with them!
I've had no trouble with picture quality or billing. It's nice to rescue my photos from the cloud for such a low price and no work to organize them. Each photo is stamped with its date time and location taken. 4/5 stars because the app can be tricky and slow to upload.
Sent an email cancelling in June 2015. They continued to charge me--and I didn't notice. When i called them on it, they would would only refund 3 mos of service. They said the software woulnd't let them give back anything more.
The last two months I have seen the quality totally gone downhill from my earlier books. Grainy and dull. White walls are yellow. I hope there are some competitors out there. I would pay more for thicker paper and pages that don't fall out and decent quality.
Use to love it! Now I hate it! Shutterfly purchased it and now the paper quality and print quality is very poor. Something is wrong with the app. It always worked 100% of time before. Now. Not. It won't let me access or select the majority of my photos on my phone. Not sure how IT selects the ones I can because some of them are not even current ones. Additionally, I get billed the monthly subscription fee whether their app is functional or not. Cha Ching for them. I will now be cancelling it. I just recently recommended it to my friends and family and now I have to contact them and recant the advice before they waste their money and blame me.
I love groovebook, I'm not sure why the bad reviews, yes sometimes pictures take a while to come but I have 7 now and the one time mine went missing they reprinted it and shipped to me, my pics are lovely, I think best thing ever. If of 10's of thousands there are bound to be hiccups but for this user I am really pleased with my books, I live in Midwest have no stake in company, found groovebook through shark tank and love it. Worth every cent, I talk to them through twitter always respond to me, customer service had been great to me any way, I don't know how pictures could be bad unless your picture is bad, once in a while it's off center but it's because oF my picture not them...
I am very unhappy with Groove Book at the moment. At first, I loved this app and the prints. But, for the past three months, when I try to upload my pictures, I get an error message saying that 100 photos have already been submitted, (when they have not). I will not continue to pay for a service that I cannot use. No phone number to call, stinks
I signed up for the first time thinking what a great idea to get my photos printed so easily. So I signed up for a monthly fee and ordered my pictures to be printed.
But when my Groove book photos came in ( which were 2 sets of 100 photos) and I flipped through the pictures, more then half of the pictures have light green smeared streaks across the photos. Some midway at the bottom, some in the middle and some midway to the top. And a lot of the pictures look grainy.
Most of the pictures are close ups so with this streak (which looks like something was wrong with the ink cartridge) on the pictures are not really presentable or good for framing.
I am not happy with that issue.
Also the turnaround time is to long and customer service is very poor. All in all I will not order again from this app.

I've tried to cancel for over a year. They keep taking my money! I want this poor quality scam to stop! I haven't ordered any books for well over a year because I want it canceled. I thought that it would be a good company after seeing it on "Shark Tank". I was wrong. They are thieves with no way to contact them. They will not cancel no matter how many times I email them. They are breaking the law! They need to be stopped. No wonder the people on Shark Tank is rich!
Loved Groovebook and told everyone about it but the quality of the pictures are beyond horrible since its been sold to Shutterfly. After just trashing the last several books I've received because of the poor quality of the prints... I'm out.
Used Groovebook app for a couple months. Cancelled the subscription. Few months later started receiving charges again. Groovebook says someone else has the same shipping address so they are charging my account. Yes my children used Groovebook. My daughter had some issues and closed her checking account. She also stopped using Groovebook and to my knowledge sent an email. Even if she didn't properly cancel the subscription, Groovebook shouldn't automatically start charging another person's account with the same shipping address! Now they want whoever has the account to contact them for cancellation. It's my credit card on file I should be able to cancel the subscription!
Used to love this. Send one to my parents, one to the other grandparents. Easy to use app, but WOW, the past few books half the pics are blurry and terrible, the other half look okay. Quality of paper has decreased, which is okay, but the quality needs to improve on the photos. Do they check what they are sending out. Disappointing. Will probably cancel if happens again.
I have had groovebook since shark tank and absolutely loved it also loved that Everytime I referred someone I would get a free book but now I find out no matter how many I referred they weren't giving me my free books I contacted them they said it was only for your first one. That's just not so in the beginning I was getting them free for everyone I referred that just the code in my book. Also the quality of the pictures and books have went down. I guess what they say all good things must come to an end.
I laugh at some of the negative responses here! What quality do you expect for $2.99 for 100 photos including shipping? I've received three books and for the most part the pictures have been great. Maybe those folks who are dissatisfied don't have a phone that takes quality pictures. I found that my outside pictures are very good. I have used Shutterfly for 12 years so I have recently printed pictures with Groovebook and Shutterfly to compare. The color is actually brighter with Groovebook! It does take longer to receive the pictures from Groovebook but again, the shipping cost from Shutterfly is so high I don't mind the wait. And my pictures are being printed from my phone! Unlike some reviewers, I've had no heads cut off and portions cut off. I use most of my pictures for scrapping so the wait for the book isn't bothersome since I'm rarely to a point in my scrapping that I need the photos. I do have a question about the longevity of the photos. Are they archival quality?
I have found groovebook thru some friends, and I loved the concept and idea. I decide to subscribe, and I was happy to receive my albums. Unfortunately I ordered in 4 different occasions 4 different albums, and I didn't got on single album. I was impeccably charged, and never had any feedback except automated responses on my email.
Terrible service, horrible customer care, and I will strongly not recommend to use them.

I ordered two months of books and never received either of them. My first order was on April 15, never received. I ordered the second one at the beginning of May but my hopes are very low considering I didn't get the first one. Also, had a free book code but noticed they charged my card anyway!
I started with Groovebook from the very beginning and it was fabulous! Since being purchased by Shutterfly the quality has continued to decline to where I am now cancelling my subscription. Very poor quality!
Very disappointed, have this for several months, giving it up for another app. I have complained once, pictures are terrible, lack color, dark, look nothing like my cell phone pictures! Done with this app.

My understanding is the original owners sold the small business to one of the shark host...

I was so excited about this idea when I saw it on Sharktank. Great idea! I signed up immediately. My first book came and it was great. Since then not great at all. I have trouble uploading the pictures everytime. They are all automatically selected and it's very time consuming to go thru and de-select all the pictures I don't want. Once completed they won't load and I have to start all over again. Finally, after several attempts I have them loaded and sent off only to receive my book a month later with the first 100 pictures on my phone. The last one even contained multiple copies of the crappy pictures that I did not select to download. Not the pictures I selected at all! This has happened every month since the original first book. I have contacted customer service only to be told basically that I did it wrong. I am so disappointed it's not funny. I will be cancelling or at least trying to since it sounds like they refuse to remove the charges from your account.
I've tried canceling, I loved it at first, but kept and still is repeating and duplicating my photos, every time I get a new one, I'm excited, until I look thru the same photos I chose last month. I've given up. Trying to cancel, but that is impossible
It was a real nightmare to cancel, they are not helpful at all and I had to call My credit card company to put a stop because they will kept charging me. They took a long time to respond and when they did it was a automatic message each time. After I put a stop on my credit card then they started sending me emails to upgrade my credit card. The wanted to charge me more. Its sad how the Shark Tank investors are allowing this
After over a year I suddenly need a password that I don't know. There is no reset button or re- send. I emailed them and they have no record of my account. I have no number to call to cancel my account. Will be contacting my credit card to report the charges
I've had same problems as most complaints here. I was sent my order after months of, where is it?! Photos bad. One photo looked like it was bent before production! Lol
Yep! They waste no time taking your money. And, was told, they didn't have company set up to send to apts or condo numbers! Hahaha Omg! Perhaps we can start something on change.org requesting the company respect customers.
Infomine use to work great, but my pics won't even upload. So after hearing all your complaint's I updated my credit card info with bogus numbers. Has anyone tried that? To see if it will stop billing you
Do not subscribe! I was excited about this. I ordered, waited and waited. FINALLY received my book, and it was others peoples photos! I was so disappointed. I never received my photos and it took forever to get a refund. The company was responsive and polite but I think they are not prepared for the influx of business. Their Shark needs to help them more... or bail out!
