This company would not refund the charge for a room NOT ACTUALLY AVAILABLE.
The guaranteed booking they said was worked hard for an therefore they can't refund even though I was not offered anything to purchase. Completely illegal.

I was charged almost $200 for a trip I never booked by hotel tonight. I received a confirmation to the booking and I called to cancel it as it was fraud. They would not cancel the booming because MY NAME was not on the reservation wven though it was charged to MY card. Disputing my charge and from the other reviews on here it looks like thats what most people get.
This is how they scammed and ripped me off!
They confirmed my booking, 12 hours later, they canceled my booking, and it's already night time. I had no place to stay. They called me, informing my booking was cancelled. They asked me to make a new booking on condition that they would pay for price difference. I did as they asked to. Then when I asked them to refund for the price difference, they rejected me, and ignored me ever since then.

Yesterday I came back from mountain biking in the middle of the woods to find an email indicating I had made a reservation in a hotel I had used in the past with one of the stored cards I had with HotelTonight. It was already the evening. I called them and let them know it was a kustake since I was in no need for a hotel, was not looking for it and I was in the middle of the forest at 11 am. They came back to me with an email indicating my transaction had been deemed valid... basically "too baaaad, we do not give a damn!". So there you go. They had been good until... they screwed it all up...
While booking a hotel room, their website crashed and url reloaded several times. By the time my room was confirmed, the rate had increased. I immediately called HotelTonight to make the correction, and they refused! Even while on the phone with them, their url/phone service crashed and I had to call them back three times. Even the supervisors were unprofessional. I informed them that I would not accept the higher rate and cancelled the booking. They have notified my credit card company that the booking was not refundable and refuse to issue a credit. I highly recommend that you DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Horrible this is the worst customer service ever they can not get me on the phone with a supervisor been waiting 1 hour and they are scammers they will disable your account for no reason
I booked a room in November and in the app I selected a 2 bed room. Even have a screenshot of the final screen before clicking pay, this was to share with a friend I'm splitting it with. Room was booked. When we check in they only have a 1 bed room. Turns out HotelTonight booked me a 1 bed room instead of what I selected. If you do use them which I suggest you don't, check your confirmation email immediately as this can be different from what you booked. Their customer service offered a $25 credit for the trouble as I would need to book another room $700+ to get a second bed. I sent them my screenshot proof of the 2 beds selected and they claim I could have just did this today and screenshot it. The hotel doesn't have 2 beds available the day of Check in and the price would be different, so how is that? Also sent them a screen record of my conversation with my friend in November with the screenshot showing the totals and 2 beds. Horrible experience. Don't use a service like this, you think you might be saving but you'll end up paying way more in frustration.
I had a issue with a room where it was unsanitary. They wanted to offer me a $50 credit last 90 days.
Never again with hoteltonight, not only they left me with no hotel once the reservation was done, they also reimburse me less than what i paid. Service like hoteltonight deserve to go put of business
We arrive at our hotel and I give the lady my name and she said I don't any reservations. So I contact hotel tonight and tell them the problem and he says yes you do so he speaks to the front desk which they didn't book the room. This starts at 6pm and he was supposly looking for another hotel but I told him it couldn't very far from what where we are. They tried to book almost 2 hours away and I keep arguing with them. I get on their website several times and finally found my own room thur them. So I contact him back to tell him (I'm doing what he is supposed working on for 3 hours) and told him that this hotel magical shows back up on there we so he need to follow up with the hotel and make sure they have an something available. I actually called the hotel prior to and made sure they did. They did give me enough credits to cover over the amount I paid already. They tried to act like they couldn't hear me several times and also heard dogs and tons of people in the back ground. So 3 hours we finally got a room at a different hotel but I will never never use this company again and also make sure how unprofessional they are. If I wouldn't have looked my self I'm not sure what I would have done because he wasn't doing his job like he said he was. It wasn't my job to find a room after their mistake. I also feel they should have just took care of my room 100 percent considering this problem.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I don't want to even give a one star but had to pick atleast one
I was on speaker with a hotel tonight customer representative to add an extra night to my reservation. My daughter was holding the phone because I was driving. She mistakenly touched the app that was open and a reservation went through, I told the representative within a second that that was a mistake. She told me that she couldn't do anything about it and they needed to call the hotel to get a cancellation. They didn't get the cancellation and I called the hotel and they canceled for me. I called hotel tonight again and talked to Pedro, he called the hotel and confirmed that they were canceling my reservation. After all this ordeal and the reservation was canceled hotels tonight kept my money and didn't want to credit my credit card. Horrible experience.
Hotels tonight does not mention that you will be charged more fees when you check in. Booked a hotel with DROP DEAL and paid $155 for the night and $44 tax and fees. When I got to the hotel and checked in, I was notified about the security deposit which is fine and normal. But, then I had to pay an extra $37 for the resort fees. The hotel ended up costing me $236 through Hotels Tonight. If I had booked it through the hotel directly, it would have cost me $179.99 plus tax & Resort fee which came out to be $209.86. HOTEL TONIGHT IS A RIP OFF and the DROP DEAL should be DROPPED!
I booked a room in Lake Placid, NY through Hotel Tonight on Tuesday, July 3,2018 for that same evening. Hours later, an unexpected and significant thunderstorm prohibited our small plane from taking off. I contacted Hotel Tonight regarding a refund, however, they could not issue same per their policy.
I agreed to the non-cancellation policy at the time of booking. I did not, however, waive any and all potential consumer rights as a result of extreme weather. I even rebooked a room in the same hotel on the following Saturday. I reached out to Hotel Tonight to see if some or all of my prior payment could be applied to my later, but otherwise identical booking, however, they have yet to respond to me.
You are better off booking with a hotel directly. Although your initial rate may be higher (the company insists it can only secure rates through its rigid cancellation policy- one which does not account for extreme circumstances), most hotels will work with customers to determine a reasonable resolution should unforeseen circumstances arise.

HotelsTonight charges my card for a Hotel I never stood at yet on my app said I was booked, now they wont fully refund me and want me to contact Hotel OYO yet they didnt charge my card. The app showed I was booked, I showed up confidently about the it since card was charged yet I was told I was never booked through HotelsTonight. I have images of the charges and the app and the respond from the customer service department. This is fraud and false advertisement.
HotelTonight staff was friendly upon check in. Room is clean and cleaned daily. Breakfast in the morning is a good selection to chose from. Have a work out room with one tread mill.
Room was NOTHING as listed. After holding for 30 minutes they refused to help me. Listing said pool, there was not one. Said they had a restaurant, they didn't. Total rip off

I work at the front desk of a hotel and this company is by far the worst travel company to use. We didn't recieve any information on a booking that was made through our hotel by this company. This includes the virtual card that all 3rd party agencies need to send a hotel when a guest prepays for their booking. The guest pays the company with their personal card, the company pays us with a virutal card. We did not recieve a virtual card or an authorization form stating that we can charge the virtual card. This means that when you go to check in to the hotel that Hotel Tonight has booked for you, there might not be a reservation for you at that hotel. This company is not helpful to the customers that book through them, and rude to the hotel staff that are trying to inquire about a guest's reservation. Save yourself the hassle, and book through Expedia or Booking.
Made a reservation via hotel tonight. Hotel did not receive it, no way to contact can anyone at 9:40 on a Saturday night. At great inconvenience, had to go to a different hotel. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THESE THIEVES.
When I write reviews it's always good. Unfortunately this one won't be. I was looking to reserve a room for my birthday weekend and while browsing scrolling reading and looking at all disclosures my card was charged.My intentions were to book the room but i didnt even see the bathroom or any other pics of the room or hotel for that matter. I really wanted a bathroom with a tub btw then after being charged I called Hotel Tonight to try to cancel they said no and kept stating they have a no refund policy which I clearly saw but still why would I book a room I haven't viewed completely? After explaining this was an accident which it was they had no cares or concerns for my complaint. Now mind you the hotel I chose was under construction and I still intended on staying there but I hadn't seen all the pics. Who In their right mind pays for a hotel stay not knowing what they're walking into please help me better understand. Moving forward I will never go through their app again. I will book from Hotel. I'm deleting their app and now in the process of disputing the transaction. This was a lesson learned this would have been my first Vegas trip my birthday is ruined with money being held up.Be careful when going on their app. They have a lot of similar complaints in their reviews. They need to do better. Happy Birthday to me.
