I was very satisfied in general with the entire verification procedure. The US Department of Homeland security should contract with "ID.me" to process immigrants seeking asylum in order to take this burden off the shoulders of our border security guards, and to free up the guards to have more time to catch criminal illegal immigrants and deport them back to where they came from.
In order to prove to the government who you are, you have to give all your data to this third party. Not only do they want a picture of your ID, they want a video selfie. Why would they need to store this data? And the video uploaded returned error messages 4 times. We shouldn't have to do all this just to interact with a government agency.
Too many hoops to jump through just to get an account. Takes forever and then when you type in your e-mail address that you have used forever, it gives a red! And states that your e-mail address is not a valid account. You then proceed to use another of your e-mail addresses that you have used forever and once again you get a red! And states that your e-mail address is not a valid account. Ask for too much personal information and then wants Face ID! Really folks?
Initially, was somewhat frustrating but became easier with repeated tries to complete the process. Would certainly recommend to anyone who needs the services provided. 👍
The verification process is thorough, and the options to use additional multi-factor authentication methods is something every website that holds customer account information should utilize.
I've been using the same phone number for about 30 years you couldn't even get it right or transferred from wherever you got it from I had to go back go to the whole procedure again and re-enter my phone number because it had a plus one in front of it where that came from I have no idea

Everyone I use id. Me I immediately receive a wave of unsolicited spam calls, texts and emails. They don't protect any of your info. After I leave this review, I'm sure to get another wave.
Very easy to access the Video conference with their Customer Service Agents. Fast and Efficient. Had to gather other information, so I got off the first video call and was back on in 5 minutes...
It was easy. I had all my stuff ready. I had to do the video part. They were very nice and worked with me until we got it done. I would definitely recommend using them.
Self-service process failed twice, even though I entered all my personal information correctly and uploaded photos of my IDs. I was forced into video verification. The first time no agents were available and it took WEEKS for them to review my submission and send me a link for a video call. I then tried again a second time and self-serve failed again, kicking me to video review. After a 20 minute wait I got a video agent who asked me for personal info but completely FORGOT to ask me for my ID documents (DL and Passport), which was the entire point of the call. I had to remind her to ask me for them and verify my docs. Does not inspire confidence that these jokers are vaulting our most sensitive data.
I use this app to get connected and verified to different government sites such as social security administration and the VA, never had any issues with it. Also great way to get identified when shopping as well as receiving discounts. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
I have tried for over a month trying to get thru Roy, ID. Me, and understanding what he was telling me very confusing. Finally a support Agent helped me. Went on today and did it the 1st time thru
I'm a 64 year old man, who knew nothing about using my smart phone online, but ID.me was patient enough to walk me through the entire process, goggle doesn't even do that, lol, I'm talking over 2 and a half hours of phone time, and never treated me with anger or disrespect, like my kids would have, lol, i'd rate them a 20 out of 10, thanks again 👍
Impossible to use. Requires extensive tech skills. I will never be able to communicate with the VA again. My health will suffer because of this awful, unworkable system. I suspect this is just another outside contract that provides absolutely no benefits to veterans. I intend to file a formal complaint with the VA secretary. Id.me is just another example of graft lining someone's pocket and injuring veterans.
Having to verify my own identity to someone else has been more than frustrating. In fact, maybe one of the most painful experiences I've ever experienced. EVER. Thank you for your help to confirm that I am me.
I always have the best time logging into my account and by far the easiest,(sorry Google) whenever I have to log into ID.me ® They make the task easy and somehow fun! It began when ID.me’s CEO and founder Blake Hall, a decorated Army Ranger, watched a military veteran display their DD214 separation paperwork to a store employee to claim a military discount. The document held far more information than was needed to verify military service. Exposing so much personal information for a single benefit was risky and unnecessary. There had to be a better way.
We set out with the mission to make community verification easier and more secure. We began with the military community, but quickly grew to include students, teachers, nurses, first responders, and government employees.
