Not good when you are senior with limited IT skills. It is ridiculous to require this when information has been constantly the same the past twenty five years.

The biggest problem was getting a good camera focus on documents. Holding Drivers License against a contrasting background or attaching it to a yellow envelope seemed to help.

I am of the No. 2 pencil generation, and have not bothered, or more correctly been bothered by having to embrace the internet world. It's break to download books, or make a reservation but I didn't need or want anything more. Then the VA and SSA required new methods of logging in. Having to navigate this totally bewildering process; getting 6 digit codes every other step, taking, downloading and uploading photos of you identifying credentials, then having them verified was a chilling proposition. Thankfully the help desk, staffed with personable proficient people can talk you through each and every step to get you verified as being you, and allow you to communicate with both Federal and State entities.
Not happy with the new process with video or selfie. The audio didn't work, the call hung up on us, but the agent called back. Be prepared to have yourself together if it matters to you, clothes, hair combed, etc., no longer doing business in the comfort of your home with your pjs on. The process is intrusive.
Was very easy to log on and stay logged in and at anytime I left the site I was required to re-login which makes me feel really secure for my personal information not to be exploited

This company says they are all about fast, easy and efficient. That was not my experience at all. The "process" took me more than 45 minutes and in the end, I finally got so frustrated, I gave up. Only to discover later in an email, that I had been successful! I'm not familiar with this company but I had to supply more personal information than I was comfortable with sharing! I don't know where they are based AND they were a recommendation by the government. You make your own decision.
The process was simple once I understood the details - I did have to 'go out' and then restart the process - also; a couple spots in the process where I wasn't clear on what the next step was. The verification itself was quick. Unfortunately I am still not able to access my SS acct and this is the reason I used the ID.me site.
We didn't have much of a problem it was pretty easy I am my family would definitely recommend doing this to anybody that is signing up for social security or whatever they need to do it was pretty helpful We didn't want a computer he gave us much of the information that we needed to give all that is true best of my knowledge I appreciate it being all done at once I definitely would recommend it I have no problem really or we've had no problem really Thank you

Quick easy process. Multiple ways to confirm identity. Video call was made less than 10 minutes after uploading photo. Agent on video call was extremely helpful and kind.
I was able to have my identification verified with the assistance of a really nice gentleman via a video call. He was very professional and the process only took a few moments.
I have a 'dumb' mobile phone: Video chat not possible. They NEED to make another way for me & others to access with a dumb phone, or from a computer... Technology is flawed, kept running me 'round in circles.:-(
