“Every item I've bought is top quality”

reece b.
1/29/20

Purchased, washing machines, televisions, kitchen appliances, small household items, every time it works great, the couriers are usually independent and sometimes they use toll, It is worth getting freight protection/extended care for certain items because even with the add on, it is still far cheaper then competitors.

Kogan, Kogan, what a plight, A trick you played, late one night. I sought a game, a gift to share, Yet found deceit laid lurking there. I never shop within your walls, For often your service falls. This time I thought, just one quick buy, Yet you charged me on the sly. A membership I didn't seek, One twenty-nine, it left me weak. Your tactics low, your cunning deep, In fine print hidden, shadows creep. Careful am I, with eyes so sharp, Yet still, you struck with your dark art. A gift of joy, now tinged with spite, As Kogan's scheme comes into light. Why this trick, this lowly game, To charge a fee, bring buyer's shame? Undo this wrong, make it right, Restore the trust, lost in the night.

Purchased a rechargeable bathroom scrubber. Item arrived and was unpacked and then plugged into power. Item is not charging or working.
Forced to then lodge a warranty claim via Kogan online site as there is NO Phone number to call.
Over a week and I am still waiting.
Phoned fair trading, advised not to waste time with further waiting and to seek a charge back from bank.

Kogan has your money and then they are no longer interested

Tip for consumers:
Kogan beware!
Got your money, send you a dud product and then must use web portal to claim warranty.
Then you never hear back or received repair, replacement or refund

I ordered this iPhone xs max described as USED AS DEMO, EXCELLENT CONDITION on 9th April 2020
When I got the phone on 23rd April, despite the fact that they delayed the dispatch by 10 days. (advertised as dispatch within 2-4 business days, BS)
The condition is simply unacceptable. It can be clearly seen on the screen that it is full of scratches, with a huge dent and a deep cut that are blocking the visibility.

And as per the time of 02/05/2020, there is still no place on the website I can report a product issue. Screenshot attached with a timestamp.
I managed to email Kogan to report this as a delivery issue on 23rd April. 10 days have passed, more than 20 emails are exchanged, I still got no instructions or address from the seller on how to return this faulty item. No agreement has been given on how they would like to resolve this issue for me. Quote from the last email I received:

"We will inform him (the case manager who does nothing at all) about your e-mail and he will get back to follow up this case again with you as soon as he is in, either in Mon or Tue.

Please kindly wait for him."

When I raised the dispute with Kogan Customer Care team, all I got is the same response:
"Please continue to communicate with them regarding this return.
If you continue to experience difficulty resolving your request, please notify us immediately with a response to this email and we will investigate further."

100% useless.

Stay away from Kogan. Don't buy anything from them, because when issue raises, there is nowhere you can get any customer service from KOGAN.

My worst experience, ever.

Don't trust Kogan in any way, you cannot contact them directly in any way except via their online website, no direct email or phone number or address to contact and they never reply to complaints, "NEVER TRY KOGAN FIRST 14 DAY FREE TRIAL", it is not free at all, you CANNOT cancel it ever, once it is in place it is there for ever and your credit card will be charged $49.00 every year forever, I tried to cancel 4 times, have receipt stating cancelled but still billed, no replies to my emails, cannot close account, I had to cancel my credit card (pain), Consumer Affairs are well aware of Kogan complaints they have had a lot but the amount is insufficient to investigate, my bank is investigating the FRAUD but Kogan will not reply too them, their products are also not reduced as they state, their sale price is the actual normal price not their false advertised discounted 70% or more off price, their items can be purchased in normal retail places and usually cheaper, I am disgusted in Kogan.

Tip for consumers:
NEVER USE OR TRUST KOGAN.

This was a terrible product! The colour of the mat was not as described. I had to spend hours assembling it together only to find that the panels were incorrectly set up to begin with. This left me a product with a wonky drawer, rounded corners on one side and sharp corners on the other side. I want a refund or a fully assembled new replacement delivered to me.

Detailed reasons are as below:
1. The instructions to assemble were highly unclear, the diagrams were not marked clearly with the direction that different pieces should face when assembling them

2. The colour of the mat is blue, even though it is described as grey (give me an email address and I will send photos) - this was supposed to match my grey carpet, my grey cushions and my grey speckled marble floor and now it does not

3. The pieces came to me with a number of small scratches and peeling paint around the edges

4. Some pieces were even dirty and I had to wipe them down - this is not ok and even after wiping them down with water, some marks still remain (give me an email address and I will send photos)

5. The drawer when assembled is wonky and loose; it can not slide smoothly

6. The two sides of the cabinet have been punctured incorrectly leading to a finished product where the top edge on one side is sharp and the top edge on the other side is rounded; I know that I have assembled them correctly because the smooth side on both of them are facing outwards, and the holes for Part E are facing each other - it is because there is a fundamental error in the way that they were initially set up which has caused this defect (give me an email address and I will send photos)

Placed an order for a dishwasher on the 28th March and received it in the 7th April, unfortunately it arrived badly damaged, to Kogans customer services credit they quickly
Organised the paperwork for the damaged dishwasher to be picked up on the 14th April.
This is were there good service ends and gives way to totally frustration and disgusted with the lack of communication and support.
I haven't received the replacement dishwasher and I have made numerous attempts via email to get an update on what is going on, the help desk have not responded to any of my emails requesting either a date for the delivery of replacement or a refund of the $444.00 I paid for an item I have now been waiting 3 weeks for.
No point emailing the help desk, you just get an auto generated response saying the will get back to you shortly but they never do.
It's time to take this to fair trading and let them deal with this mob.
There is no way I'm going to let this go, I'm owed $444.00 and I will go all the way legally to get what is rightfully mine.

After purchasing a Kogan TV for my Mother in a nursing home last year. The first TV developed a red line down the centre of the screen. This happened about six weeks after the TV was delivered. After reporting the issue to Kogan, they agreed to collect the TV in the original box. Well, who keeps an original box? Not me!
You will note that Kogan encourages people to keep the original box in case of a warranty issue. This is entirely not practical. After many emails to Kogan, at the same time trying to source a box from Harvey Norman, Good Guys and JB and the like... with zero success. In the meantime, this cost me time, petrol and energy. Kogan eventually sends me a box, and the TV is returned to Kogan.

Wait, there's more!

We eventually received word from Kogan's help desk that our TV is faulty and they will send us a new one. This process takes three weeks, give or take. Ten working days for their technicians to assess the faulty TV.

The new TV arrives, and finally, we set it up. Low and behold our new replacement TV does not connect to Wifi. We tried everything and, to this very day, it does not work. To resolve the situation, we purchased a smart box (Telstra TV box). This got us over the issue. But at the cost of time and $120.00 extra for the smart box. Another outlay, and cost of doing business with Kogan.

This week I ordered a Kogan vacuum cleaner much to my wife's horror. She could not believe that I would deal with Kogan again. Well again after having the unit one day, its no longer charging.

No more Kogan electrical goods for me! All I can say is heed this review would-be purchasers of Kogan products.

My experience of Kogan product support is a disgrace.
I would advise anyone thinking of buying from Kogan not to!
The TV was working fine all channel and good picture.
The remote stopped working, we could only adjust things by buttons on side of TV and this was difficult.
I since got the remote working again. Cleaned battery terminals and fitted two new batteries.
While working on TV I decided to perform a Factory Net update via Tv settings, this gave an error.
In hindsight should have left TV alone.
I then downloaded Firmware from the Kogan site using product number KALED43UHDZB - Firmware Upgrade
I transferred this to a USB formatted Fat32 and uploaded. As instructed on Kogan site.
This uploaded to 51% only, and then gave an error with blue screen, making Tv unable to watch
The TV was working fine until I performed a Firmware Upgrade.
I believe there is a Glitch in the Kogan KALED43UHDZB - Firmware Upgrade.
I contacted Kogan support and asked for is a Firmware Upgrade that works and was sent the same Kogan KALED43UHDZB - Firmware Upgrade.
Kogan support were less than helpful but did offer the following;
"While we are unable to offer a free remedy at this point, we may be able to arrange for our technicians to assess and service the product.
Please note you would be required to cover a service fee and the cost of any parts. "
The problem with the Tv was caused by Kogan and their updates, now they want me to pay to fix it.
Kogan themselves cause this problem.
